@KillermainBTWm8 So Legion should just constantly have his power up for 10 seconds while chasing a survivor, which gives him 5 m/s in a survivor's vicinity? Imagine that with unrelenting. He'd be allowed SEVERAL failures even without Unrelenting, unlike your situation where a survivor "messes up once", and if you're talking about a survivor getting hit, if one hit downs were a thing Billy would be a waste of a character pretty much.
-
Honestly if there's ONE thing about new Legion that I feel was done correctly, it would be removing his power when he misses an attack. It's proper counterplay.
-
I disagree as flashlights have so little use as it is. Pretty much the only use you get out of them is flashlight saving. This would just make people dump flashlights entirely and go to toolboxes.
-
A lot of people are saying it'd be impossible for killers to see Claudettes and the like, but Claudette's dark clothes(and others) have been brightened, and there was a video where noob3 got the bug in the game map and the killer was still finding him despite having the bug through hearing. He only couldn't hook him because he couldn't see the auras of hooks due to the bug. It's to a point right now where I see survivors quite often trying to hide because blending has been made so much easier to see. It just keeps making the game about chases and while the occasional chase is fun and exciting, extended chases aren't, for either side imo. The more killer friendly "finding hidden survivors easier" buffs that come out, the more it becomes about eliminating the middle man and getting immediately into chase after chase after chase, which becomes the entire game, chasing constantly. I enjoy finding hidden survivors, or making survivors think I didn't see them when I did and then hitting them. I also enjoy evading a killer through stealth, and losing them mid-chase by hiding when I find that moment when I can. I'd support a darker and spookier map. There could be things to buff killers to adapt to the new setting(or old setting honestly).
-
@HeyItsNick123andnea I totally agree with this(also hey yay the forums are fixed it seems). The darkness in that bug is so perfect. I'd love to get that bug but I haven't yet.
-
Martin27 has a good idea. They could be called Corruption perks. One survivor in the trial is designated as a traitor gains extra 200% BP for failing skill checks in coop actions, but has 25% BP gained for everything else for example as one.
-
"The people who created this game don't know how the game they created is meant to be played". That made me chuckle.
-
Hag and GhostFace are among my favorites. I also enjoy Freddy and Nurse, even though I'm not amazing with her at all.
-
Well in addition to increasing blood point gain they could go with my idea also(making you have to remove all totems to remove all hex perks). It'd make Devour Hope have a bit more use, among other hex perks that are rarely used because they're just too bad due to how much time they take to activate. Obviously some slight nerfs to hex perks in compensation for them lasting longer, like more stacks needed on Devour/Lullaby, etc.
-
I want Myers' chase music to go actually be the entire Halloween jingle personally. It might mess with his Evil Within tiering up, but I'm sure something could be done. I also want Freddy's "One, two, Freddy's comin' for you" to play, not just the humming.
-
That survivor bloodpoint buff doesn't make them gain any more BP than killers. It just makes it easier for them to get similar BP. Most survivors will get 10-16k BP per game. Killers will get 20k+ just about every game. This is why survivor BP is getting buffed to MATCH killers. If you'd have played both killer and survivor you'd understand this. You can even see it in post-game. I rarely have a survivor get close to my BP at end game as killer. Survivors also have one more survivor than killers have to get all perks, if you wanna go with this silly us vs them mentality. Sure, some survivors things need nerfs, there are also gameplay changes for both sides that need to be done, but you can't say survivors get no nerfs when MoM was recently nerfed and it was a really good perk at the time.
Enduring is a bug as they've said, as is the Sprint Burst issue. Pig wasn't nerfed if you play her like intended, Legion is actually faster despite what people claim, it's just the gap between his movement when not in FF and while in FF has been closed to make it seem less fast. Overall he moves faster the more you move because his base MS is up.
-
@HilmScrubbles David's totally gay though until BHVR says otherwise(we might find out sooner than we think with the Archives coming out). David/Dwight though? Eh...I mean Jake and David got cosmetics together in the same universe and David and Jake both have more in common with each other. Dwight seems like someone David wouldn't bat an eye at and Jake seems like he could diffuse situations easier, making him a perfect match for David who would rather punch first. That seems more shippable. As for the game being about escaping a psychopathic killer. Sure it is, but once your characters do, they have some time off to do whatever, meet other characters, etc. I'm sure things happen between characters from time to time, as they're in a never ending loop of horror and things generally happen in those situations when they get some slight bit of reprieve.
I agree the agenda doesn't need to be forced, but learning more about characters is always fun for me. Part of that will generally be their sexual orientation, perhaps not directly mentioned but in passing. I do hate the way things are going nowadays though with everything being FORCED in. If it fits it's fine, but don't just throw something in there just to please certain groups of people. It's lazy and the people who demand it don't deserve even that.
-
I don't think it's bad matchmaking exactly in the way you think. I think those rank 5 survivors are friends with rank 20 survivors and that's putting them against rank 20 killers. Personally I feel like the highest ranked survivor should determine the killer's rank.
-
I want an emote where survivors say "Let me heal you" or "Heal me". That way when both are injured you can communicate how best to handle it, in cases of perks. Killers don't have to be able to hear it if that would be a problem.
-
While I do think totem spawns should be looked at, I don't think they should all be far from objectives. People rarely cleanse totems now as it is to prevent NOED, and a totem is usually only destroyed when it's lit. Without a map, totems would be impossible to find and Detective's Hunch wouldn't work correctly without a big range increase(It's already not really used).
-
While I don't have a problem with old Freddy, I see a lot of people saying to either allow you to use both powers(one or the other) or make the new Freddy into an entirely different killer. Problem with this is, current Freddy isn't Freddy Krueger power-wise. Reworked Freddy is. Freddy's character is all in these powers. If a new killer needs one of these powers, it'd have to be current Freddy's powers, not reworked Freddy's.
-
@OKUL_COCUGU I didn't say the 3 closest gens to each other. I said 3 (random) generators. Imagine the chances of it being the closest 3 gens and it being a doctor. If it became a problem they could always make sure one was far enough away from the others so that patrolling is slightly more difficult. I do think all maps need to be the same size though personally(with the same amount of things in each trial, although obviously not in the same places, with the doors however in the same places every time). It'd bring better balance opportunities if all killers were on an even playing field on all maps.
-
Still think having entity blockers on all but 3 generators starting off is what we need, then as generators get done, more unlock. Corrupt Intervention would need a rework, but I feel like this would be good for both survivors and killers.
-
@Entità How? You should only get 2 at most, some might get 3, but healing is counted out too for the most part in this situation. Unless you're getting hit, losing him somehow, and going to get healed every time.
-
@SleepyWillo By sprint burst I mean once you hit them they get a free sprint burst to another pallet, where it's back to square one. You're not being a dick if someone unhooked someone in your face. You're making the correct choice. That was the survivor's mistake for either unhooking in your face or not having borrowed time. If you're away from the hook, they have time to play the game before they get found again most likely. If there's one thing I would love in the game it would be the ability to reject unhooks. I'm tired of seeing survivors make this mistake, and having them make this mistake on me.
@Karl_Childers I never said I had a problem with BT, but BT isn't a "tunnel" counter. It's a CAMPING counter. There's a such thing as tunnel VISION, where they target one survivor and ignore any other survivor, but tunneling doesn't exist. Camping does, sure.
-
Least favorite survivor is Jeff or Adam. They're so easy to see, and Jeff is easy to hear.
Least favorite killer is the Doctor. I just hate everything about him. He's annoying, terrible, and I have no fun playing as him or against him.
-
@TKTK Couldn't you just look away for a sec and then it'd be back to you being "out of chase". I mean it's not the most optimal thing but it is a counter.
-
I use tbagging to thank people who healed me, unhooked me, etc because there's no "thank you" emote. You'd be banning me for performing an action. That's silly. I ignore tbaggers, and now with Ghostface you can tbag too. In fact you can REALLY tbag because when you down a survivor they're on the ground, which is what tbagging really is, putting your balls in their face. If survivors make it to the exit gates, justr go in the basement. If they follow you to try to mess with you, you get a free hook most likely. If not, then they can't bully you. You deny them that by not watching them tbag at the exit gates. Hypersensitivity is a growing problem lately in today's society.
-
The problem with this is, what if no one gets hooked? Then they completed their objective flawlessly but missed a stack, and if no one got hooked, most likely only one or two people got injured. This again causes issues for survivors getting stacks despite doing well. Then there's those who just unhook everyone and get there first constantly who don't care about your WGLF.
-
I'm sorry but having to take my headphones off every time I hook a survivor, or AM hooked as survivor or even spectate someone as they're hooked is not good gameplay. I generally hear grunts of pain if I hit someone and am in their vicinity, so I don't have problems with much else, but that scream on the hook is killing my eardrums. I don't agree with a sound slider as that allows killers to abuse things like removing chase music while hearing everything, or something like that(Unless other sounds are on the same slider). But I do think something needs to be done.
-
@Saitamfed I didn't say it had to be the same placement every game, just the same number. The doors are the only thing that need to be 100% consistent. Well that and the numbers. Killers won't be able to be properly balanced until maps are the same size.
As for your editing comment issue, it only freezes for a minute with Microsoft Edge for me. I just keep clicking the comment box until it says something about a "long running script" and gives me the opportunity to stop that script. After that I can edit my comment and my text goes as fast as I type it. If I need to edit my comment again though I need to refresh the page.
-
I had 2 people die to EGC while trying to bully me. They hadn't opened the exit gate near me yet, and got too far away to open them in time while the other gate was too far away(I was preventing them from opening the gate while they were messing with me). :D Then I walked to the exit gates as they were dying and nodded.
-
I like Thrilling Tremors personally. You get someone off a gen, then suddenly when you down them and pick them up, that gen you just kicked is now blocked for 16 seconds while regressing.
The only downside is sometimes you're not gonna have it proc when you pick someone up.
-
The only problem I see with this is that in the picture Danny is much older looking. He looks to be around 30-35 or so. He looks so much younger here.
https://deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com/Danny%22JedOlsen%22_Johnson
@Holijay I think that's blood, not rose petals.
-
Rework every map to be the exact same size, with the doors spawning consistently in the same places(apart from each other) and everything in between having the exact same number of pallets/windows, albeit not in the same locations so that balance between killers can finally be attained. I feel like the fact that maps are killer favored or survivor favored is a big problem that needs addressed. However this isn't small obviously.
-
I'm with Zender. They should put pair the survivors up with the killer with a similar rank to the lowest ranked person. It doesn't make sense facing rank 4s as a rank 11. If they wanna boost their friends' ranks, they should have to work for it. Make the killer Rank 4 as well. We all know that the only reason SWFs win games is because a bunch of people who are not good at all on their own are overpowered together.
@Peanits Any reason why this is not the case currently?
-
@ClogWench @PigNRun It wouldn't have been that bad, unless you have ANOTHER "slow the game down" perk like Ruin tied to it. Imagine it like Overcharge with Lullaby. It's a bit ridiculous when you need to kill the first person off the hook, have extra one shot hatchets, AND have two perks designed to make skillchecks harder. Oh and you're hearing her humming near the hook the entire time.
@CheersTC No I play PS4
@Jdsgames If you'd read, I was a level 1 Dwight with level 1 Bond and I was still the second to last one to die. It wasn't JUST the Iridescent Heads that was the problem, but you can only dodge it so many times. I didn't even know she had Iridescent Heads until near the end of the game where I was the next to last to die. It just added to the "wow...." factor of her having so much stuff designed to make things easy for her. I've become pretty good at hitting hatchets over the course of a few games and I haven't leveled or played Huntress much at all. All that just from my rituals. That includes cross-map hatchets. I was pretty much the only one to finish gens, because of Ruin + Lullaby. Eventually Lullaby was taken out, but it didn't help much though because by that time someone had already been killed by the green mori. It wouldn't disappoint me so much if she JUST had Lullaby and Ruin. That's a pretty good combination that I didn't think of myself. It was just that + the Iridescent Heads + the Mori. It's a little overkill.
-
@SleepyWillo Honestly tunneling is not a thing. It's literally making the correct choice, provided they don't have borrowed time. If you chase the survivor that did the unhook right in your face, they're just gonna get a sprint burst to the nearest pallet and you'll be right back where you started while the other survivor gets healed. Unhooking in front of the killer's face should NOT be a common thing to do, and I get pissed when survivors do it to me, unless I'm being camped and they have BT. This is a survivor misplay, not a killer one.
"Tunneling" can be prevented by simply waiting until the killer leaves the vicinity.
-
I don't think Borrowed Time should be a ONE time use only. Perhaps one per survivor. I get unhooked in front of the killer too many times from people WITHOUT borrowed time. Don't wanna make people use it even less.
-
@DoubleTap This is the same exact thing as a 4 man Adrenaline, with Decisive, Borrowed Time, and other crutch perks. There was so much crutch in there I was like "REALLY?" I didn't realize she even had Iridescent Heads until I got hit by it as the next to last survivor. She missed me every other time. That just added to the "Wow...". That Huntress had a near guaranteed 4k.
If I can get 4ks as GhostFace with Furtive Chase and Remember Me quite often, that Huntress was pretty much set. Oh I was also a level 1 Dwight with level 1 Bond, lol, because rituals. It was easy mode for that Huntress, lol.
-
I've seen good Jakes and bad Jakes, but every time I see Claudette in the spectate, she's crouching behind EVERY rock she sneaks up to for 5 seconds each rock, Same for trees, and everything else. EVENTUALLY she'll walk up to a gen, crouch behind it for 5 seconds, then start doing it, and then blow a skillcheck and look for the nearest rock or tree to crouch behind again.
-
@Outland you are completely wrong. There IS end game chat, it's just forced through PS messages. You must not play killer if you think there's no end game chat.
@Judgement You can always hook a keyboard up to your PS4. I do this quite often when I play online games.
-
@Munix The problem is you already have a wiggle progression increase in flip flop. You have unbreakable, and no mither, and even tenacity. Also again, it is NOT hard. Every time I've been slugged and left, I've been picked back up, unless it was just 2 of us left. I've also crawled to the hatch as the last survivor before. The only time slugging should be discouraged by in game mechanics is during the EGC, because that's just not fair to be forced to endure 3 minutes of crawling with the killer following you just to be a dick.
As for the hatch not being "guaranteed". I said almost guaranteed. 90% of the time if he doesn't slug me and hooks the last survivor, I find the hatch because I get around 30 seconds or more of looking for it while he's chasing/downing/hooking the last survivor. Killers rely on the sound of the hatch as well, which doesn't happen until the next to last survivor dies.
-
@Crazewtboy It's just we had ONE thing that made having it on PS4 at least more bearable. Now we're losing that. And if you prestige one character they'll be gone again. Also now the shrine will start having those perks too, which will be frustrating.
-
I just want to not have to take off my headphones every time I get hooked, or hook someone. That ######### kills my ears.
-
Slugging IS needed. If you don't slug, and you got a 2k, the other one is almost guaranteed the hatch. If you are having a problem WITH SLUGGING specifically, you should bring an anti-slug perk. Also this is not like camping a hook, because you can leave the slugged survivor to look for the other one, and be healed off the ground. Survivors DO have aura reading of slugged survivors, unless the killer brings a specific perk to counter that aura reading. I've slugged countless times, and that does nothing to stop survivors. Sometimes I will find 2 near each other, slug one, go after the other, and come back to the other two both healing that slugged survivor. There are counters, your team(or you in the case of anti-slug perks) just needs to be efficient at using them.
-
To be fair, "tunneling" is not a thing. It's a smart choice to go after the person who was just unhooked because they're injured, making them an easier choice. There's nothing wrong with choosing the easier choice. You'd be stupid not to. If the killer is nearby when you unhook, that was your bad as a survivor. You can always bring borrowed time if you want to prevent that from being an easy choice. SWF games are terrible to play against, so they probably bring moris to get some control back.
-
@TAG and now we have to level Bill up to 40 to even be allowed to use his perks if we:
prestige a character
haven't learned them from a character
buy a new character
Also afaik Bill is loud AF.
We had one good thing on PS4. Now that's gone.
-
How is this wonderful? I don't want Bill and I already have the ability to access all his perks. Now I'll have to level up another survivor just to get perks I already could have before. -.-
-
@Surazaku From what I'm reading it seems like you want his power to be able to be used 100% of the time, rather than using the correct time for it. His ability is tied to M1, so of course there will be times he's an M1 killer. Wishing for otherwise would ruin Michael Myers, and would make him rather OP. He has more than just his exposed effect. You can use his Night Shroud to trick survivors into running into you. This means you still have to M1, but it doesn't make it any less powerful of a tool. His only problem in my mind is how susceptible he is to gen rush.
-
It's not just Claudette. As killer I see people a LOT easier now. I've only had one time that I can remember losing someone, and then I found them after I doubled back. It was a Jake in brown clothes next to a brown fence self-caring.
-
I don't trust survivors. I've had too many games where a 4 man SWF literally flocked me to save their friends while also tbagging after every pallet. As survivor, they farm me off the hook in the killer's face, ruining my points and depipping me. Sandbag me, etc. I kill 2, slug one, hook the last, and then hook the slugged one. No one's getting the hatch if I can manage to get them all down.
-
I don't. I run Furtive Chase + Remember Me and get a fully slowed exit gate with 2 downs. Sometimes I get 4ks, sometimes I get 3ks, other times everyone escapes(usually in 4 man SWFs where they all bumrush me at end game to prevent even a single one staying hooked).
-
@Kilmeran That's a shame. Remake Freddy is terrible. The movie was terrible, everything about it was terrible.
-
@indieeden7 Ty, I've been trying to get a look at the outfits to determine if they were worth buying the whole package of if I should just buy the killer/survivor with Iridescent Shards. Looks like Jeff/Legion are gonna be shards.
@Angelicus23 Thank you also for your input. I might check them out. I've seen a few of his leak videos before Ghostface came out.
