Why do people love gatekeeping Resident Evil? It's always hilarious how people have a quarrel with RE7 and 8 as if they were any less valid RE games when RE4 is a thing. I guess going from tank controls horror to over the shoulder devil may cry is ok but god forbid they make the game first person and too scary
Mr X and Nemesis are not iconic RE killers.
I can agree with that first part, but it's undeniable that Nemesis and Mr. X are icons of the series.

Probably as legendary skins, I'd hope Capcom wouldn't force RE8 characters in. I'd probably still buy it tbh

There won't be any nerfs coming soon maybe in 2 years. Spirit is strong but not OP. Survivor mains love calling OP to anything that makes them use different tactics to win chases. If you're new to the game yeah then shes considered strong just like any other killer. There is counterplay to spirit and people know about those counters I use it all the time and don't have trouble with spirits. But you see some people saying oh thats not counter play youre just guessing like looping any other killer doesn't make you guess. But hey some people here say you just need a good headset right? Like both sides need headsets lmao. But nah she isn't getting neefed any time soon.
ok, what counterplay is that?

damn can't believe you just leaked the Smurfs chapter

think i remember seeing that guy streaming on twitch once, he seems like.. a character ig
-
There wasn't one, this was probably one of the lowest points in DBD post-ds rework. Butchered one of the few genuinely fun and balanced killers in the game.
-
I could see it tbh. Sounds like an interesting concept, but hard to implement.
-
I hate every indoor map except Midwich. I can acknowledge the gameplay issues it carries but godd it looks so ######### cool
-
I don't think anything needs to be done about it, but yeah doc 3 gens are brutal, moreso than the rest of the killers. 3 gens get boring as killer imo, got stuck in a demo match for like 15-20 mins because I had all the gens monitored with portals and I kept messing up in chase.
-
Depends on what you enjoy and what you're up against. I play killer more often but it can get tedious (esp at high ranks), survivor gameplay is a nice change from time to time.

Pretty much all of Johnny Got His Gun.
-
Avoid hits as much as possible, go for spins and play safe & stealthy when he's in fury.
-
Something involving the ocean or WW1 would be cool. Maybe aliens, why not at this point honestly

glock

Slinger could have some interesting ideas, you know those mounted gun traps in Fallout 4? Maybe something like that but it reels you in and holds you until you escape, you have to avoid the projectile or deal with skill checks? I can't design powers for ######### but the concept is cool in my head
-
Ghostface, Demo and Pig because the people who play them are usually just fun people overall

I dunno I saw this image online, and the the 5 looks exactly like the Daughter's weapon. We know based off of last year that the number is a big hint to who the killer will be. I really hope this isn't true though as the Daughter is definitely not an iconic character of Resident Evil yet.
Oh Christ, this better not be the hint, I think I saw another one showing it as a part of a biohazard symbol?

dude i could eat an entire box of fruity pebbles and want more

Rewarding fun gameplay is the way to go. I imagine most people play DBD to have fun, not sweat their ass off. I like the direction the game has taken lately, but at the same time a lot of the core gameplay is just.. flawed. Looping gets boring quickly, there is no necessary survivor objective besides gens, stealth would either need to be developed much more as a mechanic or dropped entirely, because looking through bushes for a P3 Claudette for an eternity just isn't fun gameplay. On the other hand, killer gameplay is much more varied and specific to each killer because their base stats and objectives are inherently different. It isn't just "hit, hit, hook" and you win, there's a lot more strategy to it when it comes to how you use your power, how you attack, how you get around, and the counterplay these killers create, if they even have it (looking at you, Spirit), isn't really fun a lot of the time. A lot of the fixes for DBD are like slapping a band aid on an infected wound. Yeah, the surface looks okay now, but the actual problem is just getting worse the longer you leave it and that band aid is gonna fall off fast.
I'm sorry, this whole thing fell apart fast, but what I'm trying to say is that most of the issues that DBD is plagued with right now can be traced to core aspects of the game that can't be ignored much longer.

SOMA. Simon as a survivor, and honestly there are a bunch of options for a killer. Jin Yoshida, Terry Akers, Johan Ross, etc. Most of the Pathos-II sites could work as maps.
-
Observer or Felix, probably. Maybe Vigo.
-
Mike and Ghostface are in an eternal staring contest until their next trials begin.
-
Oh, I love that! Wraith seems to have a lot of good skins for mixing and matching.
-
I feel you, especially with harder killers like Slinger or Nurse. Would love to see something that aids in learning specific killers.
-
Massive agree, DBD is a horror-themed survival multiplayer game, not necessarily horror. Plus, horror isn't inherently dark and edgy, campiness and humor is an integral aspect of much of the genre. I don't think hiding in a bush for half an hour is fun gameplay, nor is looking for people hiding in said bushes. If they reeeaallly wanted to have a true horror game, then base gameplay mechanics would need to be reworked or removed entirely.
-
That sounds goofy as hell, I love it.
-
Seriously? He's decent in chase but god, the gens fly by so goddamn fast because he has no mobility.
-
I'm praying it isn't, honestly. Yeah, Dimitrescu is popular right now, but she doesn't hold the same icon status that Mr. X and Nemesis do. Would make a sick plague skin though.
-
I'm late to this, but I feel any killer that lore-wise was controlled by a powerful being, such as Demo or PH, could stand a chance, or at least their "master" could.

Nah i HIGHLY doubt that, The mind flayer made a world while the entity made a WHOLE universe The Entity is far more stronger than the mind flayer but it would still be sick to see them fight
My problem with this is that the true nature of the Upside Down isn't known. While we know more about the Entity, what we don't know throws a wrench into the whole thing and brings up a lot of what-ifs. The Mind Flayer is shown to want to take over other worlds, this could extend to the Entity.
Then there's PH, it's been a while since I've learned about SH lore but from what I remember, the cult featured in the games worships a God that is shown to exist by the in-game events. This is a God capable of creating warped replications of the "real" world, much like the Entity.
I'm not good with lore discussion but I think it's fun, would love to hear what others think about all this.
