  • See guys, it's always just a matter of time

  • Solo q's fundamental problem is that they can't coordinate themselfs bc of the lack of informations. Kindred is one the best perks to give them what's needed. Information -> coordination -> efficiency -> big advantage

The quality of the games improves.

As opposed to looping an M1 killer for 5 gens then leaving with maybe three total hooks?

Are you even reading or just searching for a fight?

Man you guys with your entilted role are the real issue in this game. I'm literally telling that as a Survivor a Trickster is boring to go against bc you can't win through mindgames, game knowledge, experience - you will die no matter what. There is no interaction, no real skill involved on both sides. And instead you have to keep a huge initial chase distance, split up and do gens the efficient way. Tell me how fun is that as a Killer? Holding W for an hour to get to the survivor and after you downed him without really doing sth skillful you have to run 4.4 over the whole map to one Survivor that does the exact same while the others just fly through the gens.

Everything you care about is your entilted role as Killer "Yea you can't loop him, get that!" oh wow. "I'm gonna w shift and ruin your game, get that?"

You really have to learn that a Killer needs a interactive skill based chase mechanic that still has a good amount of counterplay through game knowledge and experience and mindgames. While he's also able to create map pressure by sth that's not oppressive. A killer who needs more or less practise to get good to a point where you fly through casuals and even win against efficient teams.

But what ever. You can stay in your black and white world while we, the others, see the things as a whole, searching for answers that are healthy for all and not just for your own entilted ego.

  • Welcome to the new killer designs of dbd. Realisticly you don't have any serious counterplay and you will just die over time. But if your teammates split up, do gens separeted and use any initial chase distance they can get to keep distance to those killers you'll be fine. That's what we call an fun and interactive gameplay for both sides. yay.

  • This guy outplayed me. Damn, ######### modders dude.

  • They could easily replace a dcer with a solid bot and remove the penalty. But just punishing someone, even if he left for a good reason, in a casual game that has some very frustrating sides in it? Seems way more likely I guess.

  • my favorite solo q build is

Detectives Hunch Inner Strenght Kindred Lithe + Green Map + Crystal Bead

Such a good build. One gen and you know where all Gens/Totems are and you can share all those iinfos with your mates.

    • prevents 3 gens
    • efficient hex perk cleansing
    • efficiency through perfect pathing to the gens/totems

A healing perk in solo is pretty important. Inner Strenght is independend from different slow down mechanics and fits the efficiency part of

Detectives Hunch. So you're not wasting any time.

Kindred allows you know when or when not to go for an unhook while also having a solid initial chase distance or a wasted chase for the killer which results in a bad time efficiency for the killer. You know he's coming for you and you can leave the area before he's arriving it.

And the other way around: Same effect for your teammates. Kindred is gold for high level players. Because they know how to use informations very effectively. And good survivors with informations are pretty dangerous.

Lithe: It's a consistent and meta fitting perk. New Killer designs tend to be counterable by chase distance and LOS blockers. This perk does exactly that. And it works on wish. It's also not a chase breaker like Smash Hit. As a good survivor you dont want to break a chase, you want to extend it. Also Lithe can help you with time efficiency. Just vault whenever you want and you'll safe some meters.

Remember that if you get matched with bad teammates, it's not the perk or build. It's also a high level perk build that requiered high level gameplay. It's all about informations and how to use them perfectly. You need core game knowledge and experience. And not everyone should run this build. At least one Unbreakable should be in every high level game.

  • You guys.

They literally said: Among core gameplay changes to the moris, core gameplay changes to keys will come too.

Question: Did we already got hot news about moris being a part of the core mechanics?

    Answer: No

Question: Does it mean we have to wait until they implemented those new mechanics?

    Answer: Yes

    Thank you for your patience.

  • He's not wrong. I think some of his Addons are problematic. But that always has been an issue in dbd. Someone with an strong base kit gets too powerfull addons. Nurse, Freddy, Spirit, Billy, Blight..

Some addon changes and that he can't slide on objects anymore and he'll be fine. Like Nurse. Nurse is fine, but her old addons were just over the top and that's what made her annoying and too strong..

  • Probably a server sided decision. When the survivor pressed the pallet drop option you were in range of the pallet and because the survivor had the better connection to the server his POV counts.

I had something similar but the other way around. I was very close to the pallet and I did not get stunned and I was a bit surprised about that.

    So yea, Server said: Stun

  • You're not entilted at all.

  • And me going for Head On / Deception plays gets punished by a 4 minute slug into a hook where I got tunneled off in the beginning.

Questions over Questions. Would like if you would say "Why are players so" . Bc it's not a Survivor sides thing, not a killer sided thing, and the main community of dbd isn't doing that too.

And in the end who cares.. if they had fun then gz i guess? In another game a Spirit or Slinger will ######### them up. And even if you think you are nice, does not mean that other players felt like you were nice. Sometimes people are questioning your actions too.

  • You missed the point of the hatch mechanic, because that's one reason why it exists. Sometimes it would be healthy for the quality of your opinion if you play both roles more often. Not once in a while when a challenge/daily has to get done.

    • map with the most gameplay potential
    • very fair pallet strenght
    • no dead zones
    • indoor map bonus (as killer)
    • gens fairly spreaded
    • intense atmosphere
    • cool map fanwise
    • hard to find hex perks
    • overhaul very fair for both sides

why should i miss such a nice map? It's one of my favorites. And usually I don't like indoors.. So sad man

  • EVerything is about business. Stranger Things is THE one licensed dlc that is a huge deal. It's growing, it's very very expensive and it becomes even more expensive duo to the new season 4. Not like many others licensed characters is ST still in the present, still growing and a part of netflix.

Netflix has enough reasons to tell bhvr to pay way more for those very famous characters you can PLAY and the famous map you can actually experience and play in a videogame.

So Netflix most likely wanted bhvr to pay much more money in order to renew a full license. BHVR didn't felt like the price/worthyness was balanced and canceled the full license. They still got a license, otherwise Netflix wouldnt had allowed BHVR to keep those characters and their content. Nothing is for low, especially not Stranger Things icons.

So the simple answer to is: the good old money.

  • Could be possible that we will see ST back again some day. I could imagine that they couldn't pay the license anymore. ST is a big deal and very, very expensive. Even more with season 4 coming within the next ~6months. And this series is still growing.

I can't imagine any missbehaviour from...behav..iour... Either it's a question of money or Netflix got own goals and dbd couldnt fit them anymore. The fact that season 4 shouldve released way earlier when dbd's license were still active duo their deal I'm very sure it's the price for the content.

So we may see them back. In 3 years? 4? Or if dbd got the cash for it. For now it's Legacy content. Not only a skin, 3 whole characters. I'll take them.

It probably depends on when you play the game in your specific timezone. Matchmaking will always be questionable late at night on weekdays regardless of MMR.

That may be an option. On my end it's late in the night, maybe I should give it a try at afternoon or sth. To be honest that always an issue that the night games are... yea, nightmares.

Overaul very interesting feedback. Li´ke I said the last test was great and the first game were too. But when I get killer who don't know how to swing or break pallets while also killing any other survivor it's getting weird. And then the classic yt montage moments: me getting chased for minutes while the killer is obv rank 20. Don't like that.

  • Still waiting for Voldemort.

  • I would like a new Legacy. Since the grind is even worse than 2016 but ina different way I think it would be pretty fair. How many hours do you need to get all perks on a single or all survivors /killer. How much money and how much patients does a new player need to get what he is looking for?

The grind needs a big rework. This is the biggest issue atm but nothing gets done about it.

  • Would be great if the yellow bottles would release instandly and not after 2 seconds

Would be also great if both clouds would have a bigger radius

Would be even better if the clown had 6 bottles base kit

And the pink bottles should slow survivors a little bit more.

You can adjust his addons around these ideas. But you know, bhvr is doing whatever bhvr wants to do.

  • Windows over pallets

Don't get greedy at all. No extra loop, just throw the pallet. If your team is good it will use the time you bought them, if they're bad it wouldnt matter anyway.

initial chase distance. do not greed a gen if you can't get it done anyway or if it doesn't really matter. The higher the distance the more time he has to invest

vaccum stuns. Risky, first off you have to analyize how he's playing pallets. If he hesitates before he breaks pallets with his power, you run a bit further and then press spacebar. you get vaccumed back to the pallet and maybe get a stun. That's a big deal for a bubba.

  • @Zozzy said:

    Different developers.

Weird that they did a better job in a year than bhvr in 5.

  • I don't think it's about being op it's more likely about the interaction. DS is like a knife you stab into the back of the killer. The pick up animation is the preparation and the skill check replaces the stab. Once you hit spacebar and hit the skill check it's the moment where you stab the knife into the killers back.

And if you fail, it's like you were nervous and you lost your knife out of your hands. I think it's an interesting mechanic.

  • Ok we disable everything you want until you win. Improving is for babys.

  • still would like another "advanced tutorial" aka how to loop/juke, more about teamplay, pallet and flashlight stuns. More informations you can get form your environment

and as a killer how to moonwalk/mindgame, time efficiency, which one to chase, informations you can get from your environment and more. A Kilelr tutorial is very limited bc of all the different abilities and possibilities, sadly.

  • Okay. Because you deny to see it as whole I'm gonna help you out.

I'm sick of facing ruin/undying/noed in 9.5/10 games. Me, solo survivor, equipping Detectives Hunch and a green Map with the purple addon that shows anything I tracked to all survivors. Being chases or not, once a gen gets done I'm gonna leak all your totems and 3 2 1, they're gone.

  • You didnt deserve it? Your ping was higher than the ping of your opponent. The opponent dodged the hitbox of the hatchet. The server opobviously needed a second to decide who's right. The survivor was and you dont deserve the hit.

Looks wacky, but nothing got rejected. You never landed the hatchet.

Personal opinion: You are throwing rocks as huntress. If the server denied the hit, the survivor was already behind the wall. If the server says nope, he was out of the mountain-hitbox of the hatchet. Accept it.

  • I hate people doing that. "BuT mOrE tImE" - Yea. I can count way more games where I got ######### up by 99% exit gates than only 1 game where it worked. If the timer is at zero or halfway through doesn't matter. And I'm gonna be honest as solo survivor. If the killer is facecamping and he also has a good basekit for doing so I'll just leave instead of risking even more kills.

The game is all about time efficiency. If you 99%, it borrows the killer even more time to bait and kill you. If you need more than 2-3 minutes (average) to get your team out after the exits got opened: Just accept the outcome of the match?

  • Not D, because that would mean he couldnt get 1 kill at all. So it's C tier. Sadly.. I loved B tier Trickster from the ptb

  • Imagine a very popular boon totem for survivors. That allows them to survive situations where you are about to win a game. Doesn't matter if it's close or whatever. You just increase certain numbers and the whole team gets a comeback. Only 1 perk.

I know the entilted ones will come and say "uNbReAkAbLe" or whatever. I just want to make clear why people don't like this perk. You do everything right as a survivor and sometimes, in order to get your team out, you have to use your time very wisely. Wisely means also ignoring useless dull totems. And then you get punished by noed. You did all 5 gens, the team barely made it but NOED just rules is out.

You can understand it, or leave it as it is. It's frustrating and it doesn't matter how you feel about it. The majority of the survivor players feel frustrated of this perk but after all those years. It never got some QoL changes.

  • They count as objectives. Same as Jigsaw boxes - they're not affected by aura perks.

  • How about making hatch spawn only if it's the last survivor or all 5 gens are done?

  • Nah I'm already changing my build pretty often. As Survivor. As Killer I most likely run sth like Pop and Surge since over a year I think. But giving up regression perks isn't that easy as a Killer. Most of them need them. The new Killer meta is "makro". Strong in a 1v1 chase, but very bad in a 1v4 map control.

So you need slow down perks to create artificial map pressure. I won't give that up. I know what's happening if I do so.

  • Make maps more gameplay friendly instead of nice and awful to play

  • Whispers is not 100% early. Well played it's more an efficiency perk to cut down dead movements. LP is early game but pretty bad. Corrupt is legit and pretty effective. Wished they whould change some regression/slow down perks and making them to early game perks.

That would cause less stackable regression/slowdown perks and create more options, separated from each other. I mean I would like that but.. whatever.

  • So instead of one guy getting slugged for 4 minutes and then hold hostage and forced to sell out the other survivor so the other survivor dies and the guy who got slugged for 4 minutes escapes - the one guy decides to leave the already lost game to move on, giving the other survivor the hatch. And that's bad behaviour?

When a Killer has already won the game but he has to be sure to get all, he is allowed to do the most unfun, boring, game holding hostage playstyle while also violating the game rules? But a survivor just moving on, passing this whole 10 minutes showdown for nothing while also getting punished for at least 5 minutes is not okay?

And again. Always complaining just from their entilted pov instead of rewatching it from all sides.

I tell you something. As Killer I just don't care bc I won. The Hatch isn't a "oh yea well but the survivors won bc they technically escaped" No. The Hatch is just a mechanic to make games not pointless to play if there is no realistic chance to get all 5 gens done. You should learn why the Hatch exists and stop making rules for literally everything you don't like.

  • we got tons of regression and chase perks

but only 1 early game perk. More early game perks if you ask me.

  • Obviously an entilted forum main, nice bait.

  • if he tries the trick where he puts himself into the pallet trying to use his speedbost to make it up to you you have to use your game experience.

Rather a) the loop is long enough you just have to be very focused what he's doing and which side he chooses.

or b) the loop is too short, so once he's 60-70% uncloaked you just run to another trial

or c) you're in a dead zone and you wait until he's 99% uncloaked to just drop the (and only if it is a) bad pallet

or d) you bait him out. When it comes to those pallet standoffs, the first time the very most Wraith gamers will just stop uncloaking at 99% so the first time he does that you just leave or go for another loop or a,b,c,d.

Oh and ignore those "just use a flashlight" guys. That only works on bad killers and everything works on bad killers, same with survivors as opponents. Doesn't matter what you do. Very easy to troll. A good wraith is way too fast and he's invisible so he will just run past you and uncloak. That's more a free hit than anything else...

Perks? I will give you one recommendation: Lithe

Since the Killer meta is shifting to makro killer you need les skill-based tools. You need a perk that extends the initial chase distance because that's what those new types of killer ######### up. If they have to hold W for even longer to get in range, without a chance to hit you.

  • Just hide it? I do it over a year now and just ignore them. If you are that easily to bait by just leaving an chat icon it's not the game's fault. That's your own personal issue.

  • shhhh ᵗʰᵉʸ ᵈᵒᶰ'ᵗ ˡᶤᵏᵉ ᶤᵗ ʷʰᵉᶰ ʸᵒᵘ ᵗᵃˡᵏ ᵃᵇᵒᵘᵗ ᵗʰᶤᶰᵍˢ ᵗʰᵉʸ ᵃᶰᶰᵒᵘᶰᶜᵉᵈ ᵇᵘᵗ ᶰᵉᵛᵉʳ ᵈᶤᵈ. ᶤᵗ ʰᵘʳᵗˢ ᵗʰᵉᶤʳ ᶠᵉᵉˡᶤᶰᵍˢ ᵇᶜ ᵉᵛᵉʳʸᵗʰᶤᶰᵍ ᵗʰᵉʸ ᵈᵒ, ᵗʰᵉʸ ᵈᵒᶰ'ᵗ ᵈᵒ ᶠᵒʳ ᵐᵒᶰᵉʸ ᵗʰᵉʸ ʲᵘˢᵗ ᵈᵒ ᶤᵗ ᶤᶰ ᵗʰᵉ ᶰᵃᵐᵉ ᵒᶠ ˡᵒᵛᵉ. ᵃᶰᵈ ᶰᵃᵐᶤᶰᵍ ᵗʰᵉᶤʳ ᵐᶤˢᵗᵃᵏᵉˢ ᵐᵃᵏᵉˢ ᵗʰᵉᵐ ᵃᶰᵍʸ. ᵖˢˢᵗ.

  • You high bro?

If you want an ability like that, that is also balanced choose Oni.

  • 1v1 antiloop Killer areunplayable to go against

what now? Man you guys are annoying. You only review your favorite side instead of watching it as a whole, it's frustrating.

Recent Killer that got released all share one similarity. They will kill you in a chase over time and it doesn't really matter what you do, you will just die. The only way to not die is to hope that the Killer isn't able to use the ability the correct way.

Best examble: The Trickster. He's not a good Killer that's not the point. The 1v1 is just so frustrating and unfun. He will land a dagger and you will die over time.

How to counter those types of Killer, the new Killer Meta? W-Shift. Keep a high initial chase distance. Just keep stuff between you and the killer and run straight forward. No gameplay, no mikro gaming, no mindgames nothing than w shift. That's the only way to escape those types of killer.

The best way to counter those types of killer is to split out and do gens as efficient as possible. Because in a 4v1 those killer are just bad. Welcome to the new meta.

Instead of a Killer that requires mikro gameplay aka mindgames, decision making, predicting, analyzing, experience, game knowledge and also has a tool to slow down multiple survivors/gens or traveling the map very fast. Something to get map pressure as a whole. Instead of those types we get those boring unfun 1v1 press m2 and wait until the survivor will just die and be slow af Killer.

So stop complaining about the w shift meta if the killer meta is the hold m2 meta. You want the one thing, you have to take the other thing. Everyone wanted ez Killer that will win chases and here we are. And like every other KIlelr those need counterplay. W Shift is the counterplay. gg hf gl

  • Or it's just a bait. Hate that.

  • I'm from the future. But don't have enough time because of the flux capacitor running out of energy.

The recent released killer abilities causes some issues with the space-time-continuum. The meta ia shifting from mikro to makro killer so that makro perks will be used more often sth like Lithe that increases the initial chase distance or the "w-shift-potential" how we call it in science circles. So running a perk that counters those new makro meta killer will be way more efficient than a mikro perk like Dead Hard.

But now I have to leave! My time is up! Remember my words and change the future, I'm counting on you.

  • Im barely playing this game anymore. Once when I saw the Trickster chasing a Killer with Tinkerer activated, for like 2 seconds I was so sure that he's a Survivor. That was the first time in almost 5 years I felt this way about a killer. Like it.

  • Meanwhile me watching the same 4 guys joining my lobby and dodging it. How many players are playing this game right now?

  • Did you read anything? Rhetorical question btw.

It's not about making a weak killer stronger. It's about making a annoying ability that's really not fun to go against stronger. That's the whole direction dbd goes. Instead of making Killer more mobile or faster to get around they make their abilities nearly uncounterable and/or very un fun to go against aka very oppressive as a survivor. But at least they're very slow so everything a survivor has to do is to split up and do all gens separated. That way the Killer can't pressure everyone because he's just 4.6 or even worse: 4.4.

And as a Killer that got a ability like that, like Trickster will do. It's not fun to against those teams. Teams who split up, w-shift, do gens separated. It's not fun ...

    And that's the point.

So a Killer is frustrated that if survivors just play how they're supposed to do you can't do anything about that.

And on the other side, as a survivor, it's very frustrating to get downed by an ability where you can't do anything. Where you have to hope that the Killer is bad at playing it right.

And this makes it not fun, but this is the direction it goes and no one realizes that bc many players only think about their favorite role in this game and not the game as a whole.

  • The chances are the same. Survivors got way more items/addons than Killer.

  • Nope. As long as Bloodlust grants you this little bit extra distance to land a hit, DH stays at it is now. And no, I really hate this perk. I just get why it's there.
