i know he just came out, but i believe the community can aid in ideas for skins like fredbear or something
There are some skins confirmed coming, a blighted skin for halloween and another skin we know nothing about right now, a cool rare skin would be the darker version of springtrap in one of the cutscenes where he is missing part of his lower costume iirc, just a simple recolor with a few modifications!
-
I don't think that's the thing that should be nerfed, what should be nerfed is his enraged vaulting speed which pretty much deletes any mid ranged loop and his easy first hit, for a killer with such an easy power and best mobility in game he shouldn't be getting first hits for free with no effort.
-
I don't mind the current version, the PTB one felt a bit unfair on the Survivor end if you weren't the one with the axe, but now that's not an issue, they should bring back the 20% speed because that was way more fun haha
-
I think the perk is fine as it is
-
The invisibility is a bug which will be fixed in the next hotfix.
The speed he gets without his axe should be of any other m1 Killer, so 4.6 metres, no faster than Wraith or Trapper, if it feels different that might be bugged.
He has a cooldown of around 2.5 seconds after throwing the axe on you where he cannot attack, enough time to reach or vault a window or a pallet, if you go in a straight line after being hit he won't catch you that easily.
His teleport is one of the best, but you can tell when he is coming if the doors are positioned right, the lights in the door display will flicker when he's teleporting to a door.
For his stealth just pay attention to your surroundings, it's not like he is silent like Ghostface, you can hear his footsteps and the door makes a sound when he leaves it.
-
Ahh so that's why I was getting pretty much no points and never reaching the 40k cap even in a perfect game damn
-

Yeah this would be wonderful I really would love a focus on items more, it'd be make playing survivor a lot more interactive adapting with what you find and the like. I'd bring my loot goblin build to farm items (or try to since I have to survive to do so)
It would be really cool, Pharmacy goblin build would be even better!
-
@ShookieDookie said:
Making him UNDETECTABLE EVERY TIME IS INSANE. THE MOST OP KILLER EVER!
You just need to pay attention to your surroundings, if 20 seconds of undetectable is insane, imagine Killers like Ghostface, Wraith or Pig who can be Undetectable forever :O
You can also hear his footsteps from a very long distance.

I made suggestion of this same thing few months ago. In my opinion the chest auras should always be visible as you can't even find them if they are opened anyway usually.
I was also thinking about them being revealed at all times, but closed Chests do not really serve a purpose and would kinda clutter the screen with their auras, since you cannot do anything with them.

Doesn't he gain 5% haste anytime he doesn't have his axe? He's super fast when he doesn't have it. I remove it for that reason. And still get got😂💀
He goes from 4.4 to 4.6 so default killer speed

did luck affect something other than rarity and hook chances? because prior to this as far as i knew it did nothing but those things because no one used luck offerings before this or just rarely
Luck didn't even affect rarity, it only literally affected hook chances haha

I don't see this mentioned in the Patch Notes. Can you confirm whether or not changes were actually implemented for this update as you suggested they would be? And if so, what changes?

Didn't see anything in the patch notes about this, did I just miss it?
After playing a few matches as Springtrap, it seems that his doors spawn really close to gens, all of them! So I think it might be fixed!
-
Iirc, there was a mantion in the patch notes about some headphones not working correctly, but it's now just mentioning Survivor surround sounds.
-
I think it's only a matter of time before these perks get changed. How long will it take? Who knows. For some reason, BHVR has been notoriously slow at making even the simplest, low-effort changes for years.
I do not want to sound mean but it has been proven over and over again.

I think BT is already good, especially considering it becomes broken when combined with Babysitter which is a perk that is very strong currently and deserves a small nerf in my opinion.
It's not a terrible Perk by any means, throwing a killer off with the extra 10 seconds may save you or somebody else, but compared to pretty much any other Perk, I feel like it's lacking a bit, it pretty much lost its identity completely.
-
They spend time and resources into the new graphics, they cannot just simply press a button to bring it back.
I agree about the old lighting being way more horror and atmospheric, but the game is kinda not that anymore, wish they kept the fog tho.
The old movement animations are really nostalgic I won't lie, but I don't think they were better, really all I miss is nodding your head while crouched, you can only do so while standing and being still which is sad. :(
-
I might be mistaken but I think his base-kit got slightly nerfed too, from the videos I have seen, his cooldown seems to be longer when he axes a Survivor by around 2 seconds.
-
@terumisan said:
on ptb you could clearly hear his cape fluttering in the wind at that point what would be the point in stealth
Ghost Face in the PTB was awful lol, instant break from his power, like 15 seconds of Exposed, Aura perks worked on him, and iirc his red stain was only hidden while crouching while in Night Shroud lmao + the proximity warning
-
@LordGlint said:
Would be interesting to see what they could do with him power wise. On paper... he's about as generic as it gets as "man with machete", but... who knows what they can cook up.
He will end up as a Trapper skin like Frank Stone 💀
-
Any Endurance status effect will prevent you from going down if you have it, no matter the healthstate unless you're getting grabbed.
-
Yea I do not understand why BHVR keeps doing it, they could maybe release some new general perks for Survivors or buff the old useless ones like This Is Not Happening, give Survivors something simple but new they could play with so the queues aren't as horrid like in any single Killer release!
-
@Langweilig said:
My idea would be to remove the cooldown and make it also reveal the auras of gens to your teammates.
How would it reveal gens to your teammates? Kinda like Streetwise so when they're close they pretty much get the Perk's effects for a while?
Not a bad idea, but maybe it still needs something extra!

It's better than nothing or what we have right now.
Yea but wouldn't it be better to lock in and make it way better instead of slightly better than below average?
-
@EbrietasCosmos said:
Remove the cooldown and increase the range.
That would be the simplest way to buff it but not really the best way tbh, it still wouldn't do much, if anything at all compared to deja vu
-
@MaTtRoSiTy said:
It falls into that category of a perk you only ever use in Chaos Shuffle when you have no choice lol.
I think that is fine too, not every perk needs to be strong or meta, as there are far too many perks in the game as it is.
Oh for sure I agree! But I feel like having completely useless / powercreeped perks also isn't really that good to be honest, I wish Visionary did something interesting or unique to it 🙏
-
@RpTheHotrod said:
When characters are released, they come with 3 perks. One is usually designed to be weak and niche and expected to be paired with something else to be useful, one is usually kind of memey or for silly builds, and one is usually strong. Visionary is just in the weak department.
Nah that's not really a rule tbh, characters do not really need to come with weak Perks, Orela came with 2 really good perks and 1 kinda meh-synergy perk, Taurie came with 1 great perk, one decent perk and one awful perk, and so on.
Visionary just needs a rework to be honest, it was always bad, and there really isn't anything about the Perk that should be kept, the effect of it already exists in a better Perk haha

To be fair almost all the boons in the game are trash and not worth it. It takes 14 seconds to even set up a boon (28 if its a hex) just for it to get snuffed in 1 second lol. That's 14 seconds you could've put towards a gen, not including the time it took to search for dull. Lets go through them shall we
Boon Circle of Healing: Got nerfed to ######### and honestly isn't worth running, I'm not about to run across the map to heal somebody in a boon
Boon Illumination: HAHAHAHAHA
Boon Shadow Step: Decent perk but not worth running a boon over especially if I'm only using it to hide my aura or scratch marks
Boon Dark Theory: Decent Perk and honestly the extra haste makes a difference
Boon Exponential: Its infinite UB and arguably the best boon perk currently you'll very rarely get value from it at least in my experience
I believe that's it. My honest opinion/suggestion for boons is to increase the radius of them and give some of them some buffs. COH could be self care for everyone again but give it a long time to self care maybe equal to selfcare and keep the bonus of it being faster to have someone else heal you.
Illumination could be buffed to make it also show chest and totems
Shadow step is fine, Dark Theory is fine, Exponential is fine
These perks just need an increase in range some of them (I don't feel like renaming them again) but a lot of them can stay at 24 while some can be increase to 24-42 meters
I think having boons at 28 metres would be fine as a base line, the issue with boons having different AOE ranges would be the question of how would they stack? I mean, they could all just work with different ranges on one totem right? But that would kinda give false positives and would be quite confusing: "I was in the boon radius why didn't X Perk active?!" or "Is X Perk 28 metres or 32 metres or something else???", it would just be confusing tbh.

and here’s the buff incase you haven’t seen it
I mean, there are still better picks than this, I don't see this Perk being used much even with the buff…
If the Perk just passively increased regression of all Generators no matter from what they are regressing, I can see it having a lot of decent synergies with other Perks, but otherwise not really.

Who is disappointed with Springtrap's Mori?
This image is fan edited.
Iirc it's because the game would get banned in some countries due to dismemberment, that's why Demogorgon doesn't rip out the heads from Survivors during his mori. I'm not sure if this still applies today because there are some gruesome mories like Singularity's mori aftermath, who knows tho
-
@terumisan said:
killers actually can't break boons they only break the totem which is still a problem since boons can be placed infinitely but hexes can't
Hexes are generally stronger and are map wide tho, that's why they're one time use, boons should be weaker hexes that can be relit with some time investment, but as of right now, they are just way too generic / limited, pretty much not worth running since you have Perks that do pretty much the same thing and better in some cases without the need to invest time into boons.
-
@IamFran said:
Boons are a failed new feature, that's the reason why we don't get more I think.
The only good one was Circle of Healing and was nerfed to the ground. The rest are not bad per se but they're too situational to worth a perk slot.
Yea, if I were to rank them from best to worst, the list would look something like this:
- Boon: Circle of Healing (still the best, which is saying a lot)
- Boon: Exponential (has a chance to be one of the best under very specific circumstances)
- Boon: Shadow Step (always useful)
- Boon: Dark Theory (better with the buff but still kinda mid)
- Boon: Illumination (if you know the maps this boon does nothing)

What would be the point of running both? If you Head On stun the killer for 3 seconds, you don't need to see their aura for 2 seconds.
Yea on seconds thoughts that sounds kinda pointless haha
-
Rapid Response seems really bad, a few reasons why:
- Duration of the Aura Reveal is extremelly low, to the point of you maybe not even noticing it.
- It has longer Exhausted duration than stuff like Smash Hit for an even worse effect.
I understand that it is kinda meant to have synergy with Exhaustion Perks, but I don't think making the Perk pretty much worthless on it's own or maybe even detrimental if the Killer catches you while you're Exhausted from the Perk while having other Exhaustion Perks.
It may also either work with Head On or completely neuter it which would be quite sad.
-
What does get applied first, Rapid Response or Head On? If the former than that sucks, if the latter than that's cool :3
-
Does Do No Harm heal Survivors with 0 hook states at 100%? I'm not really sure how the Perk seems to work.

Hey there folks. Popping in here to let you know that our Community Team is treating collecting and sharing feedback with the team as our top priority today. While I'm seeing general comments about how folks feel about bots in here (which we are also sharing with the team), I'd also love to dig into the specifics of how you're feeling, as these can often be the most useful feedback points.
If there are specific instances of bots doing things that you've liked or have found disruptive in 2v8, I'd love to hear them.Instead of fixing the problem, which is making the Survivor role interesting by for example:
- Adding more classes (literally could just mush up a few perks together, how about a Head-On class?)
- Adding new mechanics (something that isn't just do x thing faster / instantly, there as of now haven't been a single thing Survivors haven't seen before in the mode, rebuilding pallets was cool for like 3 seconds sadly, then it quickly wore off since it's just modified Any Means Necesarry, what if instead of a cooldown you had to scavenge for pallet splinters from dropped pallets which would build up the Perk)
- New objective? (Something that isn't just holding m1 on an object, be a little creative for once and try doing something that isn't just a glorified loading screen)
You added bots, which lets talk about them now a little. So far the bots seem to be quite bad, they get stuck, they block you, they're trying to search chests that you're already searching, so they just awkwardly run into you until the action is either finished or some decision timer runs up. They are decent at some tiles (because they have wallhacks), but they still frequently run into deadzones. They also sometimes just do not want to heal you, which is quite frustrating. (I also haven't seen a bot interact with the self healing flower things that were added, but that might just be a rare thing so they just don't steal all of them on the map lol)
Like always in the 2v8, the Killer gameplay is great, Survivors need a lot of work, no more band-aid fixes please…

Forces players to play in the environment where they can be seen.
Survivors in a locker when activated are forced out.
I think the Perk wouldn't really see that much use tbh, it does have an effect for a very specific niche scenario, but if the perk had an effect on top of this one it would be really decent I think!
How about this?
Locker Perk
- Whenever you hook a Survivor, all Lockers become blocked for 10/15/20 seconds.
- If a Survivor is hiding in a Locker when the effect triggers, they will remain trapped in the Locker until the timer expires and the Locker's Aura is revealed to the Killer in red.
Now it works kinda like Victor when he finds a Survivor on a Locker, you can b-line into their Locker and pick them right up!
-
@WolfePhD said:
Lockers cannot be entered for 30 seconds after a hook.
What would be the purpose of this Perk? The only thing I can see this being used for is Decisive Strike maybe.

Thank you for this post, it's great to see all your stats! <3
For those that don't have them yet, do not worry, they're rolling out in batches
Hello Mandy, I'm not sure if the stats have been bugged a little, but I got sent stats from like 2020 haha, with my most player Killer being The Blight (which I haven't touched in years) and Nancy, which used to be my main in around that time.
-
@ReverseVelocity said:
The DBD yearly stats are rolling out, and I think it'd be cool to have a thread where we all share our individual stats!
Here's mine:
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/6VECLD2Q5GMD/image.png
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/QMU2ABZAJ7ZU/image.png
Some interesting notes:
The hours played seems to only take into account actual match time, not time spent in lobbies. Compared to my recap, SteamDB says I have ~600 hours of game time this year. That's over half my time in queues and menus!
I escaped ~44% of all my matches, which is pretty decent I think! I play a lot of solo and considering the average survival rate is 40%, I think I'm doing a pretty good job so far.
In my killer matches, I got ~8 hooks per game (I think it was like 7.8 something). Killer has always been my better role in all my time playing so this doesn't surprise me too much, but I'm still impressed x3
My estimations of being a 40/60 Survivor/Killer main are pretty much bang on too, with a ~37/63% ratio between the roles.
What did your year in DBD look like?
They send me stats like from 3-4 years ago lmao

Yes you would. But it's the only "benefit" this version has over the previous one.
Yea, I think you're right
-
@Crowman said:
The perk never really did much of anything, because survivors would still hear the chase music and killers can already mindgame their red stain at tiles.
The one benefit is I guess you could hit BL1, get undetectable, then drop chase and catch someone else off guard. But with only 20 seconds and needing to hit BL1 this isn't an efficient use of time.
I mean, you would just be wasting time at that point if you spent the previous chase gaining bloodlust just to drop the chase and try finding someone else…
-
@MoZo said:
it says “for the first time” idk if it’s worded incorrectly but does that mean u get a very mediocre effect ONCE per game? Lmao they might’ve made it even worse than what it already was

That's fair. I know this isn't a popular opinion for people but I would mind Victor being Ai. Moving on his own throughout the trial.
I wish Victor was an actuall proper killer and not just a remote Demo shred (code-wise), so you could use perks with him, obviously he would need to be adjusted if this was the case haha
-
@Choaron said:
Yeah, they need some serious nerfs already, you right. I still find it hilarious that a borderline S tier killer ended up getting straight buffs simply because of low pickrate.
Nah, not nerfs, a proper well thought out rework that adresses the skill floor of the twins and the slugging issue, they tried the latter and it failed quite a lot, bcs they obviously didn't consult the change with anyone.
-

You think so? It's not a deep would affect though. Just an injury. At least it wouldnt be a mend simulator and I think it beats being slugged in my humble opinion.
Oh, not in the sence of playing against them, that would be a cake walk if Victor could only injure.
I meant in the sense of their power, Legion would do everything better than the Twins if Victor could only injure (Legion has better tracking to injure more survivors, can vault pallets and windows faster, pretty much a guaranteed hit, unlike with Victor, whom is pretty inconsistent at all of those), yes it would fix the slugging issue, but it would make The Twins pretty much obsolete and really unfun to play as.
Once Victor is attached, you're just a basic m1 Killer without a chase ability, the only thing you could theorethically do with your version of the Twins is to use Victor for blocking doorways for injured Survivors to maybe down them, which isn't that thrilling of a gameplay choice tbh.
-
@MechWarrior3 said:
What if they just made it so Victor couldn’t down you but only injury you? I think that would help the slugging issues.
I think Twain is fun to play as but the cooldown for Victor is way too long in my opinion.@Pulsar had mentioned in the ptb - after 2 years bhvr saying they would rework twins but merely what happened was a disappointing numbers change.
They would become just a worse Legion if that was the case tho
