I guess this thread is more about killers good with their hands, and less about what's going on upstairs? because despite the simple gameplay, both cenobite and unknown require astronomical amounts of brain power far exceeding other killers by a country mile. you simply cannot truly understand and master unknown if you aren't personally feeling out new maps and seeing how the bounces play. shooting at peoples feet only takes you so far.

for pure mechanics, idk tbh. I feel most killers are simply muscle memory and making reads. like I guess Dracula is a bit mechanical but what separates a good drac from a great one is one that confidently hard sends a Hellfire expecting a survivor to run into it.

lich and Freddy I find mechanically stimulating but idk if it's really challenging.

Yeah dracula is hard mechanicaly like hellfire has same logic as pyramidheads punishment and these attacks arent easy to use plus wolf form with third person makes second dash in open areas where survivor has lot of space to doge hard to hit becuase flicking it and aiming with middle of your screen is so dam hard in third person compare to first person.

Only one this that reddems drac here and makes him not that hard is fact that he can use 3 abilities and fast switch between them thats what makes him easier if he couldnt do that he would be way harder to play but still he has lot of mechanic skill needed becuase you must hit his attacks to get vaule from them.

  • Many are hard but I would say henry (the first), billy (I have some hours on him so I dont find it that hard but some do), blight is kinda hard (mechanicaly challanging) but strong so when you get that grip a little than you will do good, pinhead is hard (sometimes hitting a chain isnt that easy and simular to first), uknown is kinda hard because of how his power behaves (you cant go for straigh shots like on huntress but think how it will younce or hitting it near that survivor) plus fact how harmless he is compare to the effort you need to put to his power to get something.

Many killers are hard like bubba is easy but if you dont want to play just pallet break simulator you need to make some mind games with his power and thats hard espicialy if that survivor sees you whole time you cant just slowly turn and go other direction but do it smooth and fast with out bumping into twig or bush (with powerfull chansaw duhhh) and loosing all your charges and time plus distance.

Depends lot of on which you play like MK have great skill expression with everything and than on console killers like xeno, trickster are harder than on MK.

It is not hard to get a 3k even with adept builds. You'd literally just be trivialising the achievement if a 3k gave an adept. Aside from blight I've literally never had an issue getting an adept even twins didn't take me that long, the mmr is famously bad so even with weaker killers you will still get the odd soloq team thrown at you that you can stomp without too much difficulty.

The adept system really doesn't need any changes, perhaps make it so survs only get adepts on gate escapes to make the surv adepts a bit more of a challenge.

Depending for who I get consistent survivors that are around my level or have more hours than me so adepts are nightmare, adept builds suck all that matters is how good killer you play and what is his power with best addons plus if his perk are little usefull but against survivors that spread on gens and know how to loop you have hard time especialy with adept build maybe you dont becuase of people you get as oponents but thats not same for others and mmr isnt that super bad as some claim you can get weaker oponents but if you play consistently on some character chances for that are way smaller that if you pick that killer few times per year.

Blight is only killer I got archives challanges (adept ones with with killers 3 perks by killing all 4 survivors, huntress and wraiths base perks before wraiths perks rework so old bad predator etc. and only killer I could pull this crap was blight he is so easy if you know how to rush, blight is the best killer with nurse only s-tier killers in game so adept with blight is easy unless you play him often and go agains super good survivors but than you have blight probably overall deadliest killer in the entire game whose pover covers everything even things nurses doesnt (map wide like mobility and speed, he is best killer who can even destroy speed hackers thats how good he is).

If you put it this way that both adepts should be hard (by making survivors to escape through gates) that I kinda get it but now killers is harder in general and it will be becuase playing almost perkless survivors is easier than killer the hustle you have as killer cant be compared.

I've reported so many cheaters that I feel like the report feature just doesn't work. Cause I have run into the same cheaters, weeks apart.

In game reports do almost nothing its based on how many people report that palyer and than devs take action (I naively though some year ago it does something but it doesnt almost do anything), the key work of ingame report is to catch cheaters that are clear from the start like flying god like dwight screeming every second and making every gen explode and than opening gates instantly etc. or killer bot that downs and hooks all survivors before 1 minute off than match.

The report (Idk if its on forums or the report side thats new) is where you fill it whith info but you need some evidence like record of the time they cheated.

So if its survivor (you can see they are from other platform by that globe mark mostly epic) and they are cheating like speeding etc. and other survivors dont pay attention to it well it takes ages before they get banned and some subtle cheaters that are very clever (avoiding majority of players that come in contack with them by hiding their cheats good) are almost impossible to get rid of thats to that great way of dealing to cheaters so yeah only the ones that are bold enough can et banned fast the rest stays for long time and than when they get banned (maybe in next decade) they buy another account on epic with price around 2 dollars and they are good to go again.

This game isnt survivors or killers paradise but cheaters one just for 20 euros mothly or waht it costs you can do so many things for so long time and ingame systems wont stop you, great for others that dont cheat and want to play game normaly indeed.

Not to mention i encountering more people play in swf teams it seems (perks and and names or getting them few days again) and having cheaters or cheater in team to feel good.

Regular skill checks are just to make sure you're awake and paying attention. They don't really need a reward buff. And this gives no incentive for new players to get better at skill checks. I don't know who would risk messing up gen progress just for BP. I sure wouldn't.

Greats dont need to be "must hit them" for very long time like back than the reward was huge in progress (basicaly some easier version of hyperfocus that doesnt needed perks) and perk like og ruin kinda forced you to hit them (until someone found out you can tap gens and bypass the ruin effect).

It doesnt matter if you hit great or good skillcheck but what matters is to dont miss skillcheck thats that key thing.

Now days reward for great is kinda locked by perks like hyperfocus, the things that werent back than exist now in this mess like you could increase the reward in gen progress for them but than it could stack super high with hyperfocus build (that is strong now) and be super busted where one guy with toolbox can do gen in 60 seconds or even less and if 3-4 do it than its gg for the killer because you cant stop 3 people from the start you msut ge downs and eventualy hooks to get preasure and perks going (you can slug whole team but that is a thing not all killers can do).

Things that increase gen speed are problematic thats why devs are very strick around them, you can say "but not all survivors would run them" yeah not all but in time they could and than what you would need to nerf it and you are just two steps back and lost time in somewhere you had lot of info from previous cases in things that made increased gen sped problematic and at the end of a year you wasted few moths from that year in which you could do some bugfix patches and made game better or rework something, waste of resources.

Back in the day it was 2% for generators. Im not 100% sure if it was more in the first year, but i checked the changelog.

I dont know why you answered me, bc i dont want it changed.

I think it was originaly 3% for gens on hitting great one and 5% on hitting great one for healing (which is it now), they change many times because of how much impact it had basicaly people that could hit them very often (which were the better palyers) had stronger version of hyperfocus back than when gens took less time to repeair.

For people seeking validation for their work I get it but there are games where hitting skillchecks while doing some objective doesnt give you any perogress its just lets your bar progress continue, if I remember good skillchecks give you 50 bp oints and 0,5% of gen progress (0,45 seconds from 90 seconds) and great give you 1% of gen progress (0,9 seconds from 90 seconds) with 300 bp which isnt such none reward and argument "but you can stuck your points in that category another by other way" yeah you an by doing lot of gens but some people dont sit on gens all game but are preasured by killer and their gen time can be super low like in progress not even whole gen or just one so more points for them is a lot more important than for someone who just sits on gens and gets full points in that one category faster.

The whole point of an achievement is it is supposed to take work. 3ks are so common that getting a killer adept would take no work. Getting a 4k requires work and a little bit of luck. It doesn't need to be made easier. Sure a hatch offering isn't a guarantee, but it doesn't need to be, it still shifts odds in your favour.

Even with how the adepts currently work it still only takes me 2-4 games at the absolute max to get a killers adept. I think the only exception was blight, his adept took a while because I suck at playling blight, doesn't help I play on console. All of my killers are adepted, and aside from blight they were all pretty easy.

There's no point just giving out achievements for free just because people want to get them straight away.

The 3k is still lot of work on many killers with their just 3 base perks and only reason how to get 4k is to slug or be super lucky but if you dont slug than you throw your chance out of window and expect someone will throw it back to you from outside of window thats it (gens fly without perks).

It can take way more than 2-4 games as you claim all depends on killer you play (how stront and versitile that killer is plus his perks and addons and your skill and experience with that killer etc.), map, perks and addons (especialy on survivor side hurt you more), offerings its just huge mix of things so you can get it in first game of trying or it will take you few tens of game like it took me 5 games to get skullmerchants (I did it before she was gutted from devs that call it balance) and only reson was two people disconected which meant I had 2 easier chases with bots so it was higher chance to win for me, things like this effect it a lot not all killers wahe power of blight or nurse or perks in tier of artist, clown, plague like huntress has one function perk (her hex) and thats it.

I have all adepts on killers I own (all ecept pig I wont spare my money on killer that sucks and doesnt seems to be fun when I own her teacheable perks for many years its just not worth it) but i dont have tendency to spread wise choices because I had all these adepts.

Giving it for 3k isnt free like i said earlier adept is just huge mix of odds and outcomes arent guarantee (unless 3 people dc on 5 gens but that almost never happens) and hatch cant be much influenced and than if you influence it with offering than map is in play because not all maps have gates you can patrol and I think getting kill from endgame collapse wont count it to adept you need to kill them by hooking them or mori them so endgame collapse kills and bleedouts arent counting (thats why twins arent so easy to get either even the killer is slugmaster becuase if someone bleeds out in corner than your adept goes bye bye).

On many killers getting 3 kills with their perks is just hardcore like trapper, buba and many others even stronger killers like even wesker (all depends how skilled you are with that killer but still some killers that are very good if you are skilled with them and running them with best addons are lacking perks like loot at bubba beast marks are must and even with them you need build to fully utilise his power especialy if you slap his another best addon iri flesh).

I would argue that getting 3 kills on like 50% of killes with adept builds can be harder than escaping with survivor running just their own 3 perks because as survivor its mostly team than can carry you but as killer no one carryes you you are there on your own and your choices and skill are what determines your outcome plus some mistakes and missplays from your oponent thats it.

  • I see that map as Otz said (my opinion is very close to his) a survivor its kinda nice map not worst not best.

As killer it depends who you play if its some high tier killer who has power that doesnt get demolished on that map than you are fine (even hilbilly with boots can have good mability use from is saw and its better than on rpd) if you play other killers like the botom half and you are 115% speed than you will have though time but its still not worst and if you play 110% speed killers especialy with range powers (like only exception is spirit I would say) than pray to god because that map is probably one of best los breaker maps and one of best holding W map and may pallets that yre weak in normal looping around them around windows create very strong loops for predrop and holding W.

For killer it depends on his power like nurse can struggle too but she still can shine if that palyer has good sence and prediction of reading survivors movements, henry will suck because he needs los too and this map has very unpredictible turns in building parts which nurse can fix with second blink but henry doesnt cover that distance as nurse and is punished more, killers with straight dashes can suck in areas that arent straight and long like wesker or demo in parts that arent straight coridors they wont get much value out of their power as they would normaly get. Killers that are ranged and slower like trickster, huntress, slinger are cooked you best way is to hope you will tunnel someone out and than catch someone far from gates and get a hook in some good corner from which you can deffend it because there are so many los blockers and blocking things like pallets that are made for holding W which kills these killers especialy when some buildings have short walls where you wont be able to even pull hatchet or knife before that survivor dissapears behind corner for these killers that map is funeral.

  • @Skeleton23 said:

Honestly ratting is a strategy. Just like Tunneling or slugging is strategies for killer. They shouldn't remove it just make it counterable so its apart of the game.

If players cant stand Players using strategies to win then what is the point in this being a strategy game

Biggest problem with ratting is that they kinda let other survivors just die faster but is someone plays mainly killer tha nhe shouldnt realy be against that because it rewards him while he doesnt need to do much just play normaly and rat will betray its teammates for that cheese (hatch or getting out from killer by leading him to gen where another surv is etc.).

People that hide all game arent altruistic and even the fact that altruism kills there are situations where altruism is needed (like going for same that leads into trade when the hooked guy is near its death in stage two to ge more time or take away more killers time), they just hide and less targets plus time means usualy the killers preasure will be focused on these survivors that doesnt hide which means they will die faster usualy which goes more to killers benefit.

It is frustrating to lose an adept to hatch, but the whole point of adept is you need to get that overwhelming, total victory. Otherwise it isn't much of an achievement. And hatch isn't all about luck, you can bring a hatch offering, and even without it, the situation is in the killer's favour. They have more freedom of moment and depending on the killer they could have traversal powers that weight it even further or other powers to guard the gates like twins or trapper.

Achievemens are supposed to have a bit of challenge, simply getting a 3k with gens unfinished is such a common scenario that every killer player would get their adept in a game or two. Surv adepts are easier in a way but i definitely get more killers 3+ ks than I do surv escapes.

Hatch offering is secreat now so like other 3 types of addons from survivors (the spanw ones and maps) so its wild guess that they have it while hatch can spawn anywhere and no one than cheater (wallhacks) or bot cant know where it will spawn its chaotic element always been but now one side cant know for sure if other runs the offering as it was before.

You say challange and i agree but I think its enough challange in this economy to play the killer with just his 3 perks like not all have artist tier perks or power of the sun in their palm (blight, nurse) so killer like trapper, bubba, huntress even wesker or oni are pretty hard with just their 3 base perks, gens will fly and there only 3 perks that can be totaly useless like huntresses ones like many killers have perks of their own that arent good on them and can only be good on different killers or with combinations of other perks like that houndmaster perk that switches scorge hooks without other scorge hook perk (mostly pain res) this perk has no value or undying (maybe we can argue it steals 15 seconds from survivor but that perk alone does almost nothing and its aura reveal range is small 4 meters thats distance running survivor covers in 1 second).

So I dont see problem making adept work on 3 kills, hatch is something you cant influence much and if you do (with offering) it still doesnt mean you will win by 100% sometimes on some maps gates are in position that your killer (majority of killers) cant deffend it like larrys, hawkins or even rpd some variant have gates in position not all killers can patrol and smart survivors will win there so its not just hatch because closing the hatch isnt win the games goes to gates being powered and thats last battle that isnt guarantee to win thats why I think it should be 3 kills for adept.

Experience is something, but the difficulty of skillchecks also depends on the FPS.

I have 3k hours on ps4 (30 FPS) and now 1k on PC (120 FPS). It was a bit weird to get the different timing done, but after one week i had a far better success rate than ever on PS4. And i had 3k hours experience on playstation.

    But 1% is completely fine.

Back in the day it was 3% of gen progress after hitting great skillcheck and it was predecesor of hyperfocus, people that can hit them almost every time like the high experienced survivors did gens way faster thats why they chnaged it like 5 great skillchecks is 15% of gen progress if the one gives you 3% for hitting it thats more than BNP and like 13,5 seconds of gen time (thats just regression from pop or pain res).

Giving it back to top survivors would meant they would do gens way faster which isnt needed and killers regression perks would need buffs to compansate for it which would backfire on less experienced survivors that more miss or just dont hit the greats reliably so I dont think its great idea to change it.

  • Insidious is meme long forgoten and chucky even when his kit has some stealth and he is small easily hidden makes lot of noices that can point him out so staying inside bush that smilles and chuckles sometimes isnt working on someone who isnt deaf.

Yeah but why "support" this playstyle for slugging for the 4k at all?

    I mean look at this:

You go into a game as a Killer with a perk less, from time to time really bad perks and do a 3k.

After all that the game is like "Let´s see if luck is on your side aswell"

Thats just designed to be frustrating.

I mean why you get addept as Survivor if you get hatch but not for a 3k with hatch escape.

Because back in the day adepts were just for unlocking killers 3 teachable perks trapper, wraith, billy were only killers in the game and than it was get 4k for achievement than raks were changed so getting 4k while having merciless victory was required on top (basicaly getting 3 classes in points iridescent so double pip game with 4k, problem was some killers like twins or oni dont get points in that classes because of how they are made to be played slugging), this was than changed to get 4 kills which is it now but than hatch is issue because hatch can be effected by offering and killer cant see it now and its totaly rng which I think it should be 3k for adept for some killers that arent blight and have garbage perks this will be still challange.

For survivor at start it was same as for killer but than it changed basicaly to just escape and that was it.

With earning adept as survivor while killer disconnects I dont have problem but you will need to have 5 gens done and reached the endgame that would be great cap because getting achievement just because killer doesnt like map or 3 gens pop would be cheap, reaching endgame and killer dcing will be great point to make it there because you reached almost exit and killer throw your effort so you deserve it (my opinion hate it megheads but I think its great cap), for killer I would change it to 3k because like hatch is so rng and throws middle finger to killers all effort and when its not hatch than some maps like larrys have so safe gates that like 75% of killers cant deffend them and its easy escape for survivor if he doesnt screw it up (do gate infront of killer).

I think lowering adept for killer to 3k is fair hatch cant be controled and if its with offering than killer doesnt know that he cant see that like me claiming that stepping on mine in mine field is thing that you can control but its total bs.

hes too important to the dbd lore to just shove him aside IMO. Not to forget that they OWN the IP and probably have everything already done. From models. to VA connections to sound design to music composers (boxed ape) It would be such an easy chapter to create

Fact they have many things models, the whole idea so its not doing something from nothing so it shouldnt be that hard as coming with new killer.

Like blight first he was shoved in 2018 halloween event I think as survivor who caught killers and made experiments on them anf than later they made him a killer.

Honestly when I play killer I don't really bother with the crows. When they fly up they disappear in seconds and even if i see one land, it's old info. And that's if I even notice in the first place, normally I'm paying attention to other stuff.

They can be useful if you run spies from the shadows, gives noise notification when a surv scares a crow nearby. I don't often run it anymore but back when I started playing killer it was my go to location perk before I unlocked decent aura reads. Tbh it's a slept on perk, it's very tough to call it from the survivor side, and it gets around stuff like distortion and other aura read prevention.

Old info is still info like for macro you know someone was there, scratch marks are too old info or pools of blood, crows are the same but take longer to reset.

Even without spies they are good info and can tell you if domeone webt hide to the edge of map because they spawn a lot on edges or near them or if someone sneaks there. Who played so online competitive game knows info is very important and can help you make your macro game sence better.

    #BringDistortionBack

Lately people play more efficient nowdays I saw them pretty often when distortion was meta but now I dont see them that much and if I do trs rare.

Cheaters are more in my games 3 days back I faced 3 of them through one evening with slinger, they are so dumb they dont find it obvious I will tell when I cant catch them around short tile in 8 rounds without using my power just pushing W and gaining bloodlust and loosing the chase due to speed or see clearly they run wallhacks because I had Im all ears aura effect few times on them on tall loop or if they pick teammate few seconds after I downed them into full health state or guy not running for gate shen he has teammates for bodyblock running there instead trying to loop me and than running to excat spot where hatch spawns few seconds after all left no coincidence he knew where it will be and no hatch offering on yamoka. Things like this and ofcourse they dont have some perks to cover some actions they did and have mark that shows they play on different platform mostly epic games clear subtle cheater.

Ahh, gotcha. I would probably not enjoy those games either. I just wish I could say I had those games. I just haven't.

People are either saying 'Yeah, happened alllll the time, especially with old distortion, and then others who say 'Rats were very rare, and even so, Distortion had nothing to do with it.'

In today's environment, Rats are still prevalent, but Distortion simply isn't there.

If every time a new perk comes out and all that's said is 'Oh, that'll help rats, kill it' then seriously this game is boxed in by the players AND devs.

Rats are bane for survivors especialy those in soloq because on swf atleast duo you have someone who cares and will try to help you but when you are alone depending on others and some of them arent active in helping (in a way thats for good of the team and chance for your survival).

These people “rats” are best ally for killer, they help him in his goal harming the survivor team from inside helping him in getting his job done. Only way rat like survivor can help his team in survival is when killer is wasting his time trying to look for him, but this isnt common and smart killers know when to drop chase as when its pointless to look for someone, when the unhook happens and they see only marks (scratch marks plus blood) and that survivor they will commit for him.

Its been a wild back and forth with people claiming rats are either in ALL their games or HARDLY in the games.

    This community is so inconsistant.

I dont doubt you had rats. But come on, 'Quite a lot of people called rats?' Please define 'Quite a lot', because I have no idea how you measure that as an individual. Once I know your definition, I think I might understand. Hopefully. <3

I would say they were rats (by behaviour I described in my post before) if someone gets you killed faster while not helping or even trying than I would say its rat behaviour ( if someone eats all cheese and lets others starve while cat is hunting them thats rat behaviour for me).

I would say 2 survivors in 5 games something like that, distortion in meta was few months and I played survivor a lot in that time window, when someone was playing hiding simulator there was almost guarantee chance they ran distortion but I found these players way more than today, not enjoyable time to play soloq just getting bafoon in team that just hid sll the time or farmed you from hook and hid nothing better to get than sandbager isnt much possible in soloq as teammate.

The difference is when you had the player base using map offerings, there was always the ability to counter or prevent the map in the next match. Now you are guaranteed to get those 6 - 8 "Survivor-sided" maps with no ability to prevent them. I used Map Offerings - specifically Midwich and RPD - in every match as both Killer and Survivor. I enjoy playing on those maps regardless of what side I was on. But I rarely had more than 2 at a time and other players would sometimes counter or block my map offerings. I just think the previous system was such a great feature to have in the game, especially for those of us with 4,000+ hours that have nothing to spend Bloodpoints on besides Map Offerings and the choice to select the maps we really enjoy spending our time on. If Behaviour wants to continue this "Random" feature, at least tell everyone in the lobby what the next map will be so we can choose to leave and try another server before the match starts. Or implement the "Featured Map" dedicated server that they tried out a few months ago. That would make everyone happy.

You arent guarantee to get them but only have higher chance and be honnest not all boosted maps are always survivor sided now only badham and the game came ho my mind. To counter guarantee map offering you needed to use hand but that didnt meant that map will be chosen and killer can only use one offering compare to survivors where one was just enough to get map and rest could be what they wanted so unless you wanted to be on survivor sided map all the time than you had to use only one offering which isnt much tho and makes this game stale in experience. I had problem with offering not as killer only but as survivor too playing on same maps with killers fearing they will loose because of bad map so they sweat more than now was somehhing very enjoyable experience.
Maybe 20% is low especialy for that map quality but having map offering guarantee or stack is a problem especialy due to balance of offering options (all 5 players offering have same weight but one side has 4 of them and can tell each other which they will use or someone can use and other has just one with hope of not getting some nasty map offering, this wasnt well done).

Map shouldnt be that muvh of a guarantee because of DBD balance map is one of the most important elements which shapes and influence the match and to killer variety some are very map dependent like billy is strong (top 5 killers) but on map like larry he drops down or ghostface is playable on larrys but total bum in open map and so on, so lets not fool ourselfs map doesnt matter because map is very important thing like getting badham or haddonfield (back when it was option before removed it) was huge difference or farm map to the game (gideon meatplant), such huge difference that favors one side more than other and kinda decides match outcome from the start ( you will be lucky to get 3k with pig on game map compare to farm map etc.).

Map isnt only thing shaping the outcome of match but we cant denny it has huge effect on the match.

I saw it maybe once or twice of people sneaking around from the start not touching gens with the old Distortion but yes really rare but as I have observed when someone complains about something its happening to them all the time, every match and even when they are sleeping.

When distortion was in meta state I ecounteted quite a lot of these people called rats, happened in situations like 3 people alive on 2 gens left and they were stealthing in corners waiting for hatch like solo survivor perk abusers or they saved you from hook (someone) and hid which wouldnt be so criminal unless killer was near or came bacb because he had no where about on other survivors and this guy hid while you were dead on hook guess wha happened next killer came looked around found out me or that poor soul and went for him.

I dobt remember number but this was pretty common in my games when distortion was meta and ofcourse all these solo survivors were usind it because it had no drawbacks only made their stealthing better.

I was using distortion too but mainly because it was strong perk that gave you lot of safety from killers info perks and told you almost what auta perk or addon was that killer using but instead of hiding in corners and farming teammates from hook I played like I do taking chases and going for bodyblock or try to get killers attention when it was needed something most pf people running distortion werent doing.

When playing killer it was quite helpfull to have such rat against me like you couldnt find him with aura perk but than it meant others that didnt run distortion were picked and killed first which lead to rest two hiding for hatch, pretty easy 3-4 k games.

One thing is playing stealthy and doging killer while wasting his time but doing it when its not beneficial for team only for you when you werent even hooked and people around you are almost dead hook or are dead hook than thats totaly different thing.

  • You will get 50k bp and there will be new latex cat suit skin for sable in month for 15 dollars only.

Thanks for this explanation, I was a bit confused at the OP how someone standing under the hook was gen rushing but you mentioning the Otzdarva Rule 2 I get it now. Yeah, I don't fall for that "trap" if you suggest you want out the game, be careful what you wish for.

I didnt ha a clue until I saw his video but it makes sence its actualy very successful and minimaly its 50/50. Sadly for them if they dont want to stay and I dont want to hook them than I slug them so I had no risk and only risk there is that when I slug them too much they can abandon and leave bot that will do something.

I dont claim all people that give up do this but ifthey do it near gen where you found them of have toolbox theres very high chance that they are doing it. Like if someone plays normaly and you totaly are destroying his team and he than gives up and gestures for you too hook him than that petson isnt doing this scumy strategy but wants out fast from game that is lost the chance for that is high here.

In DBD player must think because even some things that look strange can be actualy very well planned strategies like in this case this one where he makes you spare him and he will rush gens shile his teammates have your attention and than has great chance to escape either his teamates are good and stall you till they get gates or he survives to be the last and has options.

Like one game on jawkins I had kate downing herself under pallet with plot twist. It could mean she is meming but I thought about other thing, she had that perk combo so when you pick her up she will stun you with pallet and syves herself luckuly for me I guess it and picked her near the edge of pallet and as soon as I could move I m1 from pallet she dropped it but I was out of range, she tried it second time but I didnt forget I feared more the first time she has buddy hidden around that will save her, things like this require player to know about them from some video or already facing it before etc. but its worth to be on picture because than you can make decission and counter it like me here gaining free hook two times.

  • @Dinadin said:

How is it rat bevaviour if survivors can play stealthy?

Sometimes when someone is hooked in second stage you save him and go hide because killer is coming, killer sees marks from injured guy and no one else so goes after him even if he doesnt want to. This doesnt applyes when you are dead on hook too than I get why you hide.

Thats exsample of rat behaviour because nos there are few or one perks that can help unhooked injured survivor to hide. Sometimes you cant hide because the teammate needs help to keep his existance in match its a team mode after all so I get stealth plays but some use them all the time even when its not great for good of a game and I have seen lot of these people in distortion era let me tell there isnt many things more irritating than teammate that plays for himself and just hides all the time only sandbagers can match this absolute level of blind, deaf buffalo. Stealth jas its place but its not solution for all situations and survivors around you will hate it more than killers if you will use all the time as unlimited solution count on that (funnily enough smart killer knows team that isnt playing togeather is easy to beat do to their lack of teamplay like no one will bodyblock or take the chase and leads killer away just hide totaly optimal game for killer his preasure is focused on less survivors meaning in majority of cases he will kill them fast and have more wins than against team where survivors help each other thats why swf teams 3 man and 4 man are so scary for vast majority of killers because they dont just hide and each man fends gor himself but they play like team thats why they are so strong than average soloq team).

  • It would br super annoying to go against on indoor maps and very easy to loose the killer as survivor becsuse of elusive all abilities, notmaly you can loose survivor when he just has no scratch marks easily but no sound or blood makes this even more op.

It will have a negative effect tho, the killer will ignore more that person and focus on others and this makes it hated even between survivors.

Second thing I fear about this is 4 man with meta abusing it.

  • @MechWarrior3 said:

The spirit is far from dead. She’s a top tier killer.

The only concern she would have is if dbd keeps releasing more and more elusive perks. That will be problematic.

That will get her one time we will see her fall for that but personaly I dont play her since grass removal and survivors having bad audio sounds like back in 2016-18 you could hear survivors just breathing or sound of grass even when they were just walking or moving while crouched but these sounds if they even exist still are super hard to notice through all the loud misic and other sounds so unless I want to buy even more expensive headgear like pro streamer and increas the game sounds to the point from which I will go deaf I rather skip her.

  • This is great art, the irony here is good for rage bait but I think you missed one thing, you dodnt picked a right killer to do so if you pick like pig and vomplain about like her terror radius or dash you would bait more people.

  • Sence of karen you have buddy more than me, cant take even irony.

  • Its called the Otzdarva rule 2.0 and is good to kill that guy who gives up for one big reason, they play dead bug trying to deveive you by you letting them live but its a trap if you would look at their loadout later it would be perks for gen repeair and yes they want just sit on gens and rush them while their teammates slow the killer so they can eascape.

The pure fact you even mentioned she had toolbox and hyperfocus makes this even more clear. If you dont wanna kill them than atleast slug them so they cant imideatly rush gens behind your backs because thats what they do its their true purpose they lack the emotions you have for them to leave them thinking they have just bad day but thats not truth its strtegy that is rat like its like false charity where instead giving money to save children dying in africa you just help some bum to get rich, decieving strategy so beware and its your call how will you tolerate them but prrsonsly I just take the hook or slug them.
Truly something many people miss, these ones just taking advantage of your empaty like thievs taking weak grandmas purse.

  • Take it or not, Im pretty sure adult human has good sence to spot irony or sarcasm or double meanings. Than there are those who cant get it or are suspecting everything to be against them, I think it should be clear if you would look at rest of my posts here but thats your thing not mine.

Exactly. BHVR took away the only free choice the player base had in Map Offerings and shifted to their 100% Map Offerings on the same worst maps in the game! At least when the player base could choose, there were always methods to counter with another map offering or anti-map offering add-on. Now we have no choice or any method of map selection and are subject to a cycle of constant Autohaven and corn map Hell!

Its not because of map offerings that you have same maps more because of devs each week or month or in what time window they do it boosting some maps so they have 100% more chance to be chosen than all other maps like all have 3% chance or something like this 2,75% and 6 chosen maps have 6% chance thats why people get maps like the game or badham, nostromo because they are boosted maps and have higher chance to be picked.

With map offerings being 100% I had as killer and survivor just 6-8 most survivor sided maps all the time because in every game there was one guy that used some offering like for erie, badham, the game, garden of joy etc.

  • They dont but its like around 60% each on 3 gens meaning killer can only stop one or max two if he has good mobility.

Sometimes you cant look only on your left corner of your screen on number that shows how many gens are remaining but also take in count the progress on all gens if 2 gens reamining but 3 gens have like 50% progress than you have these 50 seconds if there are 3-4 survivors alive and you dont get down and some regression from pop or pain res in that time.

But I dont think I need to explain it to someone who plays killer against survivors around his skill level so the games arent easy for him.

  • @Reinami said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4065593#Comment_4065593

So you spend 50 seconds breaking 3 god pallets, and then another 30-40 chasing and downing that survivor, then another 15 or so to pick them up and hook them. How many seconds is that? Oh yeah, 3 gens popped.

Pretty much people forget its not only one gen 90 seconds but 3 survivors each on different gen have 3 gens done around these 90 seconds depending who touched his gen first or had toolbox etc.

Thats what people forgot is one guy does something in 90 seconds than if other 2 have same abilities and endurance which in DBD all survivors have gameplay wise than they do 3 times more in the same time thats common sence. Same as it is to not thinking killer gets hook second after ending chase because many chases doesnt end with survivor being downed next to the hook.

  • One time like few years ago someone found out he always gets maps on which he underperform with that killer like larrys on billy etc.

Im having this till today like indoor with billy or garden of joy sith dreadge.

It's 2 minutes if you do nothing, or go get BP, or spam power.

It's far less if you hit them out. And as someone who actually doesn't give a ######### about crouching, and you claim not to, I have never actually seen a full 2 minute end game collapse with the gates open. At least not with 4 survivors standing.

I hit them out. And doing so I've actually forced mistakes and extra kills because of it. And anyone who truly has thick skin has surely done the same over a long period of time.

Those are options not available to slugs. In fact, it's not even available unless very specific conditions are met. I had a match recently where I'm not sure what his issue was, but the slinger tunneled and slugged Nancy it for 4 minutes until she bled out. Threw the game for it, since we did gens. But she never got to abandon since 3 people were still standing. Pretty ######### gameplay for everyone, honestly. But still possible even right now.

Than they didnt hid till almost the end against m1 killer because if they did you would be there for long especialy if they were split on both gates.

Forcing mistake? If they arent brainless babyes than they will stand near edge so when you down them you cant get then and they will escape, as I mentioned above not all killers have power or addons to punish them for not leaving but someone with so much hours as you should know that.

That last paragraf of yours is lot chaotic to understand what happened? Because if survivor, same survivor is downed two times and he recovers to 95% the max point than he can abandon so unless you left her there with him on top of her than its possible she couldnt do much but if you picked her few times and he went only against her than its easy abandon, if he bled her out because you were around her and dennying him hook than I kinda get him why he bled her out but feeling salt for free escape even if it not feels right is another thing.

Im saying abandon option when gates are opened and all survivors are in gate area, thats compleatly same for killer as it is for all survivors (remaining) when they are sluged or when its just mori situation (doesnt mean he is last mori can happen when 2 are in game and one is hooked in second stage than the other one can be moried).

Only killers that can get gate downs to hook without depending on addons are twins (victor is blocking escape when survivor has him on his back), weskers grab, slinger pulling survivor out and last I believe is houndmaster where after dogs grab survivor cant escape immideatly as with others killer after being downed, others can do i only if they run specific addons that are basicaly mini bloof worden (knight, springtrap) but this is usualy used with full endgame builds so its totaly different situation than in regular game where killer is fucosed on getting survivors in endgame and last is survivor getting downed and not falling into escape line in exit area and killer picking him up but this is dame mistake from survivor as when killer has injured survivor infront of him with nothing hr can use opening 99 exit and escaping because he spuned the killer by fov tech, same mistake.

  • @MrBuffalo said:

Or you could just….Not mori them and skip the animation as well?

And second of all. What does me saying "Don't let their actions bother you" have to do with an abandon feature for the mori?

And waste 1k bp in 8 second action, tell me which action gives you more bp in same time and dont tell me hooking because before that you must go through long proces of chase, downing the survivor and than picking him up and succesfuly hooking him which are actions that take longer and can be dennied, mori cant.

Nothing just the thing when all survivors are in gate area why killer cant have abandon option when outcome is clear same with mori situation?

  • @Icaurs said:

    @Abbzy @Dionysusdog

The abandon feature is not for survivors to stop the killer form wasting the time. It is to stop the killer from holding the game hostage. Because that's what they were doing. Just to to be toxic. And a little toxicity is normal. But not when they are dragging it out for minutes at a time.

So why don't killers get this. THEY DID, it's called the end game collapse which I support.

Seriously if you can't handle forcing people out the exit game you nay need to consider you can't handle online games.

Telling someone who plays DBD for years and played siedge that he cant handle online games is biggest lmao I had in time, I have stomach for more things even things some cant handle on this forum even imagining it, thank god for them all these things or almost all are banned here by rules.

Im here against this hypocrisy of one side leaving game after loss immideatly as that person wants while other cant, endgame collapse is 2 minutes if they arent downed or hooked and on these 2 minutes I can have another game.

  • @MrBuffalo said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4065627#Comment_4065627

So? Who cares. You don't know them.

This stuff will bother you if you let it. I don't know these people, their ego's mean nothing to me. If they make me miss a swing why would that bother you?

Same can be said about having abandon for mori when one side can skip these 8 seconds why other one cant skip the 6-12 second window or even little longer forcing someone from gate is dependent on more things like how many survivors are alive, perks like dead hard.

Its just doble standart one side can skip the short end while other cant, like it or not its just fact not all killers have blood warden build in basekit like twins.

  • Kinda interesting but no one knows everything.

When survivor startles the crow it will fly up and killer can see that and second variant is when in place killer wasnt passing through the crow returns to its sitting place than its clear someone was there and startle it.

Some killers like slinger startle crows a lot because when he shoots his gun they fly up a lot around him so he cant take much info from them but majority of killers can and if they know this fact how crows work in trial than they will have solid info from it, the more nerdy people even know the time when the crow will reset and come back to its sitting place I believe so they can predict a lot.

Crows than have secondary work and thats flying around people that are afk or didnt touch a gen for long time or interacted with the killer, they will just fly above the survivor or sit on locker in which the survivor is.

Many times survivors are “how did he knew?” but forgeting killers have eyes and that crows work as info tool for both roles but modtly for killer because survivors have terror radius as indicator where killer is.

Like ghostface cant startle crow when he is crouched but even when he is in his power and isnt crouching he will startle them and this can sometime tell you that he is sneaking on you etc.

Many people forget about crows and mostly og ones or sessoned ones know because when in 2016 game was mostly hide and sneak the crows were known thing a lot, now with crows only spies from shadow work (killer info perk giving killer info survivor startled crow in 36 metrers range from that killer).

  • @[Deleted User] said:

As survivor i can abandon when the killer is wasting my time after all hope of escaping is gone. So why when all the survivors are standing in exit is there not a killer abandon feature? This is a clear double standard and there is viable reason that is isn't here yet.

Because your view on this topic would meant that you denny survivor to enjoyment the triumph victory and denny them finall tbag which would be very rude and huge violation of their rights.

Such choice would show that devs are killer sided and that they dont want to survivors have some fun.

Your personal opinion on this double standart isnt very progressive and constructive and would ruin one of last enjoyment survivors have. *please dont take this serius its joke, everyone knows that the best way to make game better is just to buff survivors and give them validation they deserve from survivor rule book.

  • @MrBuffalo said:

Or you could just hit them out. Get extra BP for hitting them.

I don't think its that deep fam.

Most of then wont let you hit just stand there and bait you do edge just to escape and make you miss for their ego boost thats just thing that happens in my matches when I loose.

This is a very good adjustment that restores the lost fun and makes it easier and more rewarding. Those who are dissatisfied are just creepy people with delusional tendencies who cannot accept what they cannot do.

    addition

There are some creepy people in the world who can't stand it unless things go exactly 100% the way they want.

In what does his rewok made him esier?

The getting down in open are or low wall loop where survivor cant hide behind stuf? I dont think so just buffed him in what he was already good and nerf him in what he sucked before.

His skill requirement went up and he is harder to play, do you think he is more fun and rewarding for more people than just few trickster mains?

I dont think so he was already dead killer for anyone playing on console and now is way harder than 115% version even with needing 2 less knifes to hit, he is slower in everything and only faster in cutting survivor down in open area but he was already good in it before, his main event is less common and in 90% of time its better to keep s-rank. Less knifes mean you need more reload which on slower moving character is very enjoyable thing.

So in what he is better other than things I mentioned? He sucks in more things than 115% version thats just facts laceration sucks more and many more things he was better in before.

This rework just is made for some of his mains that wanted something simular to first version of trickster, not for other players and survivors will hate him always theres no fix for that.

  • @RevertWesker said:

dbd is a dead game anyway

    >Wesker nerfs

    >Trickster nerfs

    >New map sucks for Trickster and M1 killers

    >Rework or release OP perks

    >Buffs Blight but nerfs Ghoul

There is no such thing as game balance anymore when they hide balance changes by masking it with 'bugfixes' and listen only to survivor mains and blight mains.

I wouldnt say dead but these late changes are totaly random and dont make even sence.

Wesker gutted for all his mains and even people that dont main him can witness his clunkiness, trickster changed to picture of his mains but like half of them dont like it and he is deffinitely more harder to play as and grab so I doubt his player base will increase rather it will have opposite effect.

Ghouls hit after vault with leap got called unintencional feature and removed after so many of his nerfs and especialy bug fixes (he feels little harder because his hitbox is smaller but after he vaults I personaly havent seen survivor to walk through my character model and vault back as before it seems you dont injure them if they walk to you but they cant vault through you, can someone varify it). New nice map thats terrible as 110% speed killer or lower tier killer.

Fast track buffed making gens faster and goong against healty gameplay of killer spreading hooks and punishing killer for it and rewarding tunnelers which is totaly out of sence but nothing crazy to get for people that been playing this game fir years. Many strange changes but the wesker one is one of worst there and out of nowhere after 4 years they are nerfing his techs.

This video is literal nothing burger he has nothing there that shows any bug. That is normal pull and always been like that. Houndmaster should not be able to stop survivor from moving but slow them down.

First on 2:30 totally normal nothing odd in that and the creator makes a huge deal of it like it was somehow abnormal. This guy has some odd idea that survivor should not get away from the spot he gets grabbed by the dog that has never been a thing they are always meant to be able to move so they can use pallets to get rid of the dog. This happens on 3:03 he even goes that he grabbed them on the spot he goes to stand and no he did not the dog grabbed them about two meters forward of where he claims and look how far the survivor got basically no where they are still there. 5:00 Sable has enough distance to get to the pallet before the pull happens nothing odd in that and as said you should not use her power to do that as it usually ends up them using the pallet to get rid of the dog. His question why its useless on grabs before pallets is because the pallets are the counter to your power you should know that if you play enough of her. 5:51 Dusting is pulling the dog towards the loop and as he moves closer the dogs animation turns on the right side as its now pulling towards the killer. Still the dog is never meant to keep the survivor on the spot they grabbed but move towards the killer in that case the path finding most likely was little bit confused of what direction it should pull because of the long wall but still that is still totally normal behavior from the dog. 6:08 totally normal nothing to mention in that one. 6:28 Nea gets about the same distance as Dustin did with the one he made a huge deal out of so nothing odd in this one either but this time he does not find it odd.

This guy seems to not know how Houndmaster works if his thinking is that survivor should not be able to move from the spot they got grabbed by the dog they can totally move with the dog and has always been like this. This is just an example of somebody making a video about something and not really having any facts to back up his claim. Its usually btw good way to get views to claim something is buggy and some content creators use blatantly and make videos like this that does not even back up the claim. Also he does not get that the bug they fixed finally fixed the problem where the odd faster movements from survivors while grabbed by the dog were possible because it was tied to fps of the survivor player now they are consistent and so worked every time the same in his video and as it also includes the inputs of the survivor player how well the dog manages to hold them back as survivor has control of the movements not the dog.

The pull seems weaker than it should be and dog never pulls over or to catch point which I dont think it was issue before ( only issue before with dog what was changed was where he pulls once it was to killers position and other was to point where he caught the survivor which I belive is still working now).

I was meaning The Game Map because its also called The Meat Plant for some players. And I should of clarified that I was just showing how many pallets there was and how some windows where surrounded by Pallets. Which this creates god tiles. Thats why I showed it

The game map, gideon is pinicle of map with most god pallets and many safe pallets, good windows that map is torture to play on not to mention like bigger half of these god pallets are chained togeather which is absurd but also relic of 2017 balancing of maps.

  • Easy counter just tunnel or choose less targets like going only for two survivors and rest just injure, slug or hook only once to activate perk values like pain res, grim embrace or other token base perks bound on hooks.

Many will downvote it but this is best way to play, like it or not and best way to counter this.

The swf teams might have tools to hold you or slow you down in this strat but but if you play good you can still 2k but you need to get downs on these chosen targets and hook them which strong swf can make hard especialy against weaker killers like ghostface but its still better than playing regulary and spreading hooks because with these weaker killers your hook number will be same and the outcome in kills will be different (better results on target/tunnel gameplay than on spreading hooks gameplay).

In this case as in many others the line chycky says even in game is how it usualy ends “good guys finish last” no more mr. Good guy.

Now let witness downvote shower from those which cant handle the truth in facts.
