Killer Qs: 15+ minutes since weeks
Survivor Qs: 200+ ping lobby's, dodging, infinite loading screens. And in case I get a good ping and no dodge it's going to be the matchmaking destroying the experience. basically I play 1v1 with the killer because my team mates are yellow ranks while the killer and me are red ranks... Horrible experience and very very frustating. We all know how annoying solo Q is even when you get red rank team mates but they are still potatoes... But yellow ranks are something else..
Thanks BHVR, I guess. I will take a break, this time a long break.

Nerf ds and sc and MoM and exhaustion perks and nerf bnps into the ground and oh they switched to adrenaline bc we killed sc? Nerf that too and let's increase gen tines even though there's lots of "why is killer que so long!"
Have fun waiting 20 mins to play against 4 man swf with engineer toolboxes. You'll nerf survivors enough only SWF is fun enough to play.

game dodge is not equal to lobby dodge friend.. call names all you want, you'll grow out of that.. :)
It's reality. Entitled killer players think it's fine if they dodge survivors/items they don't like, but hate when survivors dodge killers/items thet don't like.
Only an idiot or a liar can deny it.

literally the most left-handed twisted thing i've ever read.. lobby dodging same as dc'ing in game? hahahaha
understand this: if you think i as a killer should be forced to play dumb games vs blendette squads just because the luck god dropped them in my lobby, understand that if i do play that game it's a total waste of time for everyone cuz i promise i'll hide better than all of them and there'll be depips for everybody :)
your suggestion was not very well thought out. If i as the killer keep getting the same group over and over, whether i dominated them or not, i don't want to keep getting them..
there are many many reasons for me to leave a lobby, there are very few for me to leave a game in progress (or loading).. if you are getting bounced from too many lobbies, try something different. take TTV out of your names, don't be looking like a garbo immersed team, change your names & look different, or get better internet.. after completing that checklist your lobby experience will probably be much different.

A killer isnt obligated to stay in the lobby...however leaving the match does violate tos ..so theres a big difference
Mhmm good luck with that.

The difference is one is when the game starts and is technically bannable
Kinda hard to convince people one is good and fine and one is bad.
-
Killers lobby dodge toolboxes and swf.
Survivors lobby dodge moris.
It's the viscious nature of the game.
-
Not enough high rank survivors playing so you get matched with low rank survivors?
-
I can see it now.
09/26/2019 "YAY THEY INCREASED GEN TIMES!"
10/20/2019 "Why does killer que take 30 minutes to get into one single game!?"
-
Simple question for those who think 3ks and 4ks should be common for killers.
If a survivor player has a 0%-25% chance of his character living, do you think many people will play survivor? Seriously. Are you brain dead? Have fun with your 30 minute ques. This game literally requires 4x as many survivor players as killer players.

I've seen a good amount playing on console like 3 games in a row the first person I down left cause he or she was the first to be hit
Logically it makes sense. They get downed quickly, and decide "do i want to stay to get camped/tunneled to death or do i want to try to find a new game quickly that might be fun?"

SWF doesn't need nerf, solo needs buff to be more like SWF, and killer may need buffs to compensate.
Is there any actual data that shows killers need a buff? Such as, at rank 5 they average 40% kills?

Killer is supposed to be the power role. It's how asymmetrical games work. There is a power role and a numbers role. Also, a 2K at red ranks is going to be a de-pip 99% of the time.
Well enjoy your 3k's and your 20 minute que to play 1 killer round then...?

@Corrupted said:
I agree with this, I come from a long line of competitive communities in gaming but DBD killers don't seem to get it. Against 4 really good players on com, it's supposed to be hard. 4K is not how an average game should go. 2K is fine, hell if you hook a ton and give a ton of pressure you can get a black pip if you kill one person.
Now don't get me wrong, there are only a handful of viable killers at red rank and swf survivors do have things tipped in their favor. But it's not nearly as bad as most killers think. Haddonfield should get reworked and a few more killers should get something to bump them up but the game is by no means a stomp in survivors favor.
- Agreed, it's like when you play Rainbow Six Siege and get a 3k. It's not supposed to happen every game, at all. It's supposed to be a memorable thing that happens only now and then.
- Killers talk about how only a few killers are viable, and only certain perks. Survivors have the same issue. That's why killers complain only about a handful of Survivor perks--because there's only a handful of good ones, so survivors play them all the time because they like seeing their person escape.

Survivors have second objectives during events. The perfect example was "Chinese New Year" event with lanterns. They did not need 3 hits to do well and the event was fun for everyone. There is seriously nothing wrong with secondary objective for survivors but sadly devs do not want to implement it.
Difference is those lanterns took literally a second or two.
Killer mains want 2nd objectives that take as long as more gens.
-
Hmm second objective +making survivors able to take 3 hits before going down.

Camping is a legitimate strategy.
However if I get bored queueing (?) I'll just go play Survivor.
So is looping and t bagging at pallets i guess

Your first statement is true. Not sure what you're saying here.
Not sure if joking or trying to help prove my point...
-
Killer mains: "Camping is a legitimate strategy. My job is to kill you, your fun is not my responsibility."
Also killer mains: "Why does it take 20 mins to get into one game? Why aren't more people playing survivor?"

4 man swf with Object of obsession, borrowed time, decisive strike, self care, and all insta heals. what a great game, totally balanced like all things should be. No point in playing killer.
to paraphrase killer mains "your fun is not my concern, my job is to escape. You're not entitled to kills."
-
There should just be a trade haha. Decisive strike gets removed along with ruin or noed. Or maybe bbq and chili.

This incredibly stupid fantasy that there's less survivors than killers CauSE kIlLeR lObBy iS lOnGeR
As of RIGHT NOW there is: 120 killers and 406 survivors waiting in lobbies.
I'm not sure if I can link the website showing this, but you can probably google it. There's NEVER less survivors than there is killers. It's always MINIMUM the double up
Sooo what website is it that? Is that PC, PS4, Xbox One?
I don't think anyone says there's more killers than survivors. Because if the number of killers and the number of survivors gets even close, that would be a huge problem.
120 killers need 480 survivors to play with.
Sooo in your example they are short 74 survivor players.
-
Killers gripe about voice coms but then go "if someone dcs thats your teammate, not my problem."
A "team" game that does not even default let you use comms is BS
-
You wouldn't lose sleep but you would lose games 😂 swf might be OP but solo survivor alternates between good teammates and torture of teammates who play like golden retrievers.
-
Lol now the next question is, how badly would the survivor base shrink?
Someone gets into a match with potato teammates and dcs. Bam, sprint burst is gone. They try again and next round get tunneled and a face camped.
Two weeks later all the threads: "the devs messed up matchmaking, killer lobbies take 40 mins"
-
LOL i'm waiting for "the devs should make dc'ers send in videos of them wearing dunce hats in public for 5 hours before they can play again".
-
The new players will Iove the game. Once they get chased down, hooked, and a killer standing their nodding until or revving a chainsaw until they die, they'll be so glad they got the game.
-
Will this "undetectable" nullify preminition and spine chill?
-
The hatch exists because this is a team game. Except you can't talk to your teammates, and they can completely ruin your fun by being stupid as golden retrievers with xbox controllers.
Killers hate the hatch. But do they really think many survivors at all will keep playing if it's removed? There's already so many threads about long killer que times.
-
With how messed up hitboxes are juking killers is actually really hard--you get hit by swings that visibly missed.
-
The game should be fair. Just like killer will get a survivor husk for bp farming if a survivor dcs, survivors should get a killer husk if killer dcs.
Anyone who says otherwise is just biased and hates fairness.
-
Why not just remove keys? And toolboxes? In three weeks the devs will prob be announcing killer vs killer mode since so few people play survivor.
Stranger things will bring a huge influx of players probably... Most who will play killer and help those killer que times go up even more. 😂
-
Retribution: if your three teammates are killed, your character has a 25/35/45 percent chance of finding a shotgun in a chest.
-
Maybe the idea is they look macabre like that
-
Survivors don't want to see their character die... So gen rush, because that is the best way to live.
Seeing your character die on a meat hook and their soul taken by satan vs seeing opposing players run away and eacape--seem clear who gets more distress if they fail.
-
No mither really is a joke.
-
It really does seem like a chunk of killer players are just hoping to feel power by trying to make others feel miserable.
-
Killers: "why isn't dc punished more?"
Also killers: "face camping is a legit strategy."
-

Not true. Survivor q's are also messed up, at least on console
Really? I get on xbox one, hit play as survivor, and i'm in a full lobby 20 seconda later. I hit play as killer and i have time to throw laundry in.
-
Less and less people want to play a "get hooked once and a psycho stands there and hits your character until dead" game.
-
Here's thing. It's not "ultra rare survivor ad ons need to win the game easy."
It's "ultra rare survivor ad ons are kinda crap." simple example is brand new part. Why bring it? It's not worth the space.

I'll try and make this as short and sweet as possible. So I feel like most of the community agrees that games go by way too fast and want something to increase the games length. I've seen many posts on the forums, reddit and various places about ideas to increase game time but I feel the best one I've seen is parts for gens or a whole new secondary objective of varying degrees. So which would you prefer, adding onto current objectives with the parts idea, a whole new objective, both or do you have some better ideas?
They should run a ptb where the objectives are longer. It would be interesting to see what happens to % of killer players and survivor players... Right now 80% of players need to main survivor and 20% killer. What happens when you add more objectives and end up with 50/50 ratio?

Not too hard to fix. Just have the entity kill me as soon as the killer closes the hatch.
Problem.
That means killer finding and closing hatch is automatic win same as killing the last survivor.
If the killer is not a billy/spirit, and doors are an okay distance apart, the last survivor has decent odds of escaping through a gate. Why take that away?
-
Dude... Scroll through a few pages of this forum. The majority of "nerf xyz/remove zyx" threads are killers complaining.

3 should be average
Here's the thing.
If a survivor player has a 75% chance that if all sides play equally well, he will lose and see his character die, how long do you think survivors will keep playing? People play games to feel good. Not feel like they lost. What happens when a mere 40% of dbd players are survivor mains? Trapper vs ghostface deathmatch?
-
@Carlosylu said:
Ok, this is just my opinion, I really believe, as this is a HORROR game, the game should base it's performance on the killers having a higher average than survivors, I play both sides, and do good on both, but yes, it feels like survivors ain't afraid of KILLERS, and that's contrary of what a surviving game should feel like.
I want to feel the wrath of being a killer, and I want to be afraid of being in a chase when being a survivor, but I'm afraid that, right now, the game makes me feel like a bully when I'm a survivor (quite fun though) and as a cat hunting a mouse (Tom and Jerry reference) when I'm killer (even when I usually get 4/4, t-baggers are the proof that a killer ain't someone to be afraid of)
Ever played Resident Evil? First time i played Resident Evil 4 it was terrifying. 8Th playthough, not so much.
Why would survivor players who have played 50 hours of this game really be afraid anymore?
-
Imagine if he was reworked so his ability involved the other gang members, even if briefly. That would be a cool touch.
-
It would be really interesting if the devs released a pbt where gens took 100 seconds or something like killers are asking for.
I feel like the percentage of survivor players would fall drastically.
-
Simple. The hatch is there because the devs do not completely hate solo players who get stuck with potatoes. 😂 but you're right. The old hatch was better. No end game collapse, just hatches.
