I don't have any update about the fps issues you are facing I am afraid, as soon as I do know I will communicate it but for right now, I have no information I'm afraid.

I think you'll find censorship is not something that is done on this forum - if posts are within the rules, they stay.
Thank you for acknowledging the issue.

This is your average red rank SWF group? Thats kind of cute.
Wait until you get the real tryhard:
This is where the fun begins. I only won this one because we were on Rotten Fields.

You must have good ping, I suppose. For me it's the same and I have 30-35 ms stable. Unironically, dedicated servers favor laggers and punish good pings on the killer side, not the other way around. Or rather, they work for good pings and don't fix the issue with bad pings.
However, if I play survivor, I get some very disgusting hits. Sometimes, I even see the killer do the whole missed swing animation and then all of a sudden a bubble of blood bursts out. Let's not even talk about dead hard.
In near enough every online game I have played laggers are at an advantage. However a lagger can always be beaten by another lagger in games. But due to Dbd's asymmetrical nature, this doesn't quite apply here.
-
As much as I would love to see that, I don't think it would really fit into the game.
I mean, Xenomorph is probably one of the most deadly creatures you could ever think about. Unless you have a flamethrower, you are dead the moment it charges towards you. Pallet looping and stunning it just feels wrong.

The fact that one problem exists does not negate the fact that the other one is also present.
The bigger problem however is that sooner or later the developers will solve one of the problems, while not solving the other.

Yup having a decent headset and hearing takes skill.
Yup, just installing a 3rd party voicechat program takes skill.

And what happens when she goes against a solo q team?
The same when a SWF team goes against a Clown.
The other side gets wrecked.

Imagine thinking Spirit takes skill along with an ebony mori.
Spirit takes more skill than Survive with Friends.
-
@madradfox said:
If you are suggesting that the Spirit is the most balanced killer, then you are also implying that some killers are overpowered in comparison to survivors and some are underpowered.
Balance implies an equal number of advantages and disadvantages. Most people are aware of Spirit's advantages. Can you list the Spirit's disadvantages that lead you to this most balanced conclusion?
The same can be said about Survive with Friends. There is no disadvantages, only massive advantages.
Survive with Friends is why Spirit is a balanced killer.
-
Meanwhile when I play killer, survivors are already immune to melee-hits halfway through the fastvault-animation. Quick pallet drops (when not holding down the run-button) are an unreactable instant-stun, and survivors can litterally Dead Hard a hit that already finished like half a second ago.

In hindsight I probably should have tunneled the rank 6 Claudette because the rest were rank one and were far above my skill level. I just don't like tunneling 😅
If survivors do the generators fast, then there is nothing wrong with you doing the killing fast. You are both being efficient by rushing the objective.
-
Killers get more points per match, yes. But killers are also the last player to leave the match, and right now killer queues are longer than survivor queues.
-
The only true counters to determined and skilled 4man SWF is either an ebony mori, or being skilled at Nurse or Spirit.
-
Spirit with stacked phase duration add-ons. Or go with both iridescent add-ons if you wanna be extra cheesy.
Huntress with Infantry Belt and Iridescent Heads. Exhaustion addons are also extremely good with her.
Clown with RedHead's Pinky Finger and another addon of your choice. I would go for increased bottle-amount.
A Trapper with Iridescent Stone add-ons and the perk Remember Me can pretty much 100% deny the gates for the last survivor. Only need to worry about hatch in that scenario.
Wraith with Windstorm + Coxcombed Clapper can more or less deny the hatch with a high success rate, and patrol gates extremely well. Ontop of being really strong with those addon given the player plays him right.
Freddy with Red Paint Brush + Swing Chains, or stacked slowdown addons is extremely dirty. Be warned that this can cause disconnects alot.
As for perks, I would just stack slowdown and information perks. Pop goes the Weasel, BBQ, Hex:Ruin, Nurse's Calling, Infectious Fright, Sloppy Butcher, Hex: No one ecapes death are all excellent perks that synergise with most killers.
-
How is a black person having dreadlocks rascist?
Extremely tighly curled hair is pretty damn common for someone with her skincolour.

Yeah, but she's busy buzzing after survivors.
So are Billy and Bubba or not?
-
I don't farm myself, but I see alot of killers smacking pallets to signal they wanna farm, and survivors generally follow along very quickly.
Some killers use it to gain the survivors' trust to NOED-Bloodwarden at the end, but thats a different story.
-
@MeltingPenguins said:
Look, ever since it messed with Billy and Bubba's chainsaws the Entity has no more means to actually cut wood into sensible sizes...
Nurse can still cut wood with her psychokinesis.
-
I used to do that when someone had a funny name. For example I came across a guy named "Hex: Dedicated Servers" the other day. He had an appropriate profile picture of McCote with the "Pretty good job so far" phrase printed on it.
But now that killer queues are so long, I am generally AFK doing something productive.
-
A little fun fact: Pallets actually got shadow-buffed in the Pyramid Head chapter. When doing the quick pallet drop (when not holding down the run-button), the stun is applied much earlier (pretty much instant) than it was before.
I noticed that when I was no longer able to consistently hit survivor that do a pallet safe.
-
Up to the basement you go.
-
I mean, the fiasco started on the 21 Jan when Hex:Ruin was nerfed. So it was kind of obvious this year would be bad.

SWF is part of the game. It is not cheating, and I don't see any evidence that this isn't being considered for balance. Kill rates as of the latest stats drop are in the 65% ballpark at all ranks and closer to 70% at red ranks. That includes SWF. Would you have that percentage rise?
The killrates are that high, because survivors dont use their tools to their full potential. Most SWF groups mostly just ######### around and don't care about winning, but that doesn't change the fact that they are still overpowered with no effort whatsoever put into by the players.
And before you go in and say that killlers should just bring in their strong stuff themselves to counteract the advantage SWF has, that behaviour always leads to it getting nerfed. Hex:Ruin being the most prominent example.
-
I don't like playing against cheaters (mapwide voice-communications that is not taken into account by the developers when balancing the game).
-
No response from the devs whatsoever.
Atleast give us a "No, f you console players.", that would still be better than nothing at all.
-
Yes, Nurse has a lot of unblinkable areas on that map. To some extend the stairs, and a section in the lower corridors where a bunch of lockers are partly blocking the way. Thats what I remember from ontop of my head, I havent played alot of Nurse in the last month.
-
I agree. A skilled Spirit is one of the few killers that have the potential to take on good SWF groups.
-
Min got some muscles <3
-
I absolutely loved them. They minimally changed how the game was played out to make it more diverse. Also the asthetics really got you in the mood.
-
Huntress is left handed. She is holding her axe like a left handed person (hold the base with the left, lead the head with the right), she throws her hatchets also with the left hand.
-
*Laughs in Nurse*
-
Do you mean ...
... actually punishing survivors for their mistake?
How dare we ...
-
Killers can't snowball if survivors split up. If you get snowballed by a M1 killer, you have no one but yourself to blame.
-
Possibly unpopular opinion, but I think apart from a God-Nurse (which are so rare, they might as well not exist), no killer is overpowered anymore. Not all killers might have counterplay in chase (many people argue Spirit is one of them), but due to power recharge mechanics, outside of chase every killer is beatable by splitting up, doing gens, and not being overaltruistic.
In my conclusion I am assuming the killer does not use a mori.
-
After being stunned hundreds even thousands of times, you will eventually have to embrace it.
-
I tend to go P3 for my killers, because its a little bit of visual stealth to them. The blood has a kind of disruptive colouriation camouflage effect to it. Also the blood weapon and hands look amazing in first-person camera.
-
As others have mentioned hitboxes and model animations don't match in this game. Injured survivors have the same hitbox as a healthy survivor, a killer with a knife has the same hitbox as a killer with a sword for example. Ever since dedicated servers, Dbd also has movement extrapolarisation, where the game attempts to predict where the player will go, so their model is not shown where they actually are.
This ontop of bad server infrastructure and netcode can lead to some strange looking hits or not-hits. Its something the developers need to work on.
-
I like all McMillan maps. They are aesthetically very pleasing to me (in terms of lighting and colour-sheme), and are good to play on (balance-wise). I wish more maps were like them.
-
As someone with a low-end-ish PC, some optimisation in general would be greatly appreciated.
-
Nurse's black Reaper Wedding Gown (https://deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com/File:Nurse_outfit_005.png) makes her really hard to spot at a distance, especially on McMillan and indoor maps.
-
Nurse.
She is my favourite killer in the game, and is easy to cosplay as you just need a long white dress with some modifications.
-
I remember back in the day when the game was alot darker on most maps, I never really minded Blendettes sitting in bushes, because if I walked past them I could hear them breathing. Now in 2020, Claudettes have like a 70% chance to not emit any sound at all (only as killer though, as survivor I can almost always clearly hear all survivors around me).

As someone with both Deuteranopia and Protanopia, that restrictive of options would be very concerning to me. Otherwise I'm all for it.
The reason why I suggested presets is because the developers most likely wont let us freely choose auras colour for the sake of "balance".
-
There a very simple solution. Let us customise the aura colours, or just create presets to choose from in the settings that deal with Deuteranopia, Protanopia, and Tritanopia respectively. Its been 4 years in which you "cared about colourblind people".

No, they removed it 😭
Cool, so now I can no longer communicate with my random teamamtes while staying in cover. Nerf solo-survivor and increase the gap between solo-SWF even more.
Great addition Behaviour, you really outdid yourself in that patch.
-
Wait, you can't point while crouching anymore?
-
Myers is actually a very weak killer, because he has barely any anti-loop, average mobility, and minor stealth (low terror radius, but extremely good visibility due to his colour and size).
He is stronger on indoor maps, but thats not nessecarily a bad thing.
-
Optimisation WILL need to adressed, if they want to ever update the graphics of this game. Otherwise it will become litterally unplayable on consoles.
-
Developers be like: "Guess, we will need to nerf Pig again. She is getting too cocky again."

lmfao i'm not a hardcore player, i just moved from ps4 to pc...how has only 9.7% of players prestiged to level 2 with ANY character...
Free weekends. I would imagine that the vast majority of the players tried out Dbd, got scared by the broken status of the game, uninstalled, and never touched it again.
