Not to sound rude more just a little confused...is that sarcasm?
i dont see it as rude and no im being fully genuine i would love to play against you
i dont use meta perks and i despise tunneling and camping since i think from a survivors perspective
just do know if we play together then dont enter any lockers for i may be in them

SImple answer I don't have to deal with meta for a while. Seriously just I want one match just one match where I don't have to deal with Pain Res, Corrupt, Pop and whatever the fourth perk is. "But their the best perks in the game." BHVR just made a bunch of other regression perks good Oppression a go to slow down perk for me you have three gens get hit at once and yes I know a skill check prevents it but still.
I just seriously want Chaos shuffle back so I can play matches where the meta isn't going to show up plus I find the chaos shuffle helps players learn other perks they can use.
id gladly play against you if i had gold

How do we feel about getting sent to this match as a Killer? Is it survivor-sided? Is it balanced? I have only played Solo Survivor so I am wondering how killers feel about getting sent here. I like to burn this offering since I feel like I can see pallets and loops better & to me it seems like both sides can have fun matches on this map.
OH BOY A MAP!!
teleports to a survivor and slaps them-dredge main

Strictly speaking, Crotus Prenn is the the name of the realm. It consists of Disturbed Ward and Father Campbell’s Chapel.
Disturbed Ward definitely leans more towards survivors. The main building and its generator spread are tough on M1 killers.
Chapel is generally decently fair, but some windows and tile combinations can be nasty.

very funny idea; DBD but everything is 1000 times the stats. Billy moves at 1000 times his movement speed in chainsaw, hooks take 70000 seconds per stage, gens have 90000 charges each, etc.
This is definitely a serious suggestion and not a stupid idea where I wanted to see what would happen if this was a thing. Definitely don’t post funny things that would happen because of this.

A respectable answer, but for the sake of options which I cannot modify would you lean more towards holding W or looping?
as a killer maini turn and look them in the eyes confused as dredge
but if im playing surv then i just run like a headless chicken using every window i can and as few pallets as i can so my team survives

@Reinami said:
His chains need to be buffed, Many times hitting the chain you barely gain any distance, if any at all over any decent distance, and if they dodge the chain, forget it, they are completely gone.
Looking at the math for it, when you chain a survivor, each chain takes 1 second to break, and the survivor moves at:
- 1.13 m/s with 3 chains
- 1.695 m/s with 2 chains
- 2.26 m/s with 1 chain.
So in total, during those 3 seconds, you reduce the distance a survivor can move from 12 meters to 5.09 meters. But, the time it takes to switch to the gateway camera is 0.5 seconds, then there is the slight travel time, but lets say you land the gateway literally on top of the survivor and its effectively 0. Then you have 0.25 seconds for the camera to switch back.
That amounts to 0.75 seconds where you are not moving AT ALL. So you give up 3.45 meters of distance doing that. Meaning that now you actually are only slowing a survivor distance down to 8.54 meters. where you are moving at full speed.
In summation,
- holding w and not using your chain, means that you gain 2.25 meters of distance on a survivor during the time you would be using your power.
- Using your chain and landing it PERFECTLY, you gain 5.26 meters of distance on the survivor.
And if you miss, or the survivor dodges, they gain massive distance. That makes the power not worth using most of the time.
The other problem with him on the survivor side is the RNG around the box can be miserable in regards to spawning, and you never know if your teammates are actually going for the box or not.
To combat this, these would be my suggested changes:
- Increase the time it takes for a survivor to break a single chain to 1.25 seconds from 1 second
- This turns it from gaining 5.26 meters of distance on perfectly landed chains, to instead gaining about 7.5 meters of distance. Making it a bit stronger
- Impaling wire becomes basekit. Every single cenobite is running this addon, it needs to just be basekit.
- Make it so the cenobite no longer breaks chains himself when running into them, it doesn't make sense to chain someone, and then have to walk around the chain to not break it, given the little distance gained when landing a PERFECT chain over just holding w. Having to walk around the chain makes you lose any distance you might have gained and is silly.
- Rework the original pin addon to do something else so it can't be used to hard tunnel
- Rework the box spawn logic so that it is more randomized and can't be figured out by the killer or the survivors based on where everyone is.
- Also fix it for maps like lery's where it literally has like 2 spawn points.
- Rework the box to work like:
- If a chain hunt is happening and you are holding the box, the person holding the box does not get chains spawning.
- It sucks for new players because they probably don't understand the timing for solving the box at that point and leads to just infinite chain hunts
- If a chain hunt is NOT happening, the box spawns chains on the survivor holding the box and disappear if they start solving the box, so that they are encouraged to actually solve the box quickly rather than hold onto it and hold it hostage.
- If a chain hunt is happening and you are holding the box, the person holding the box does not get chains spawning.
- Rework the Iridescent Lament Configuration to have a downside and be stronger so it isn't just straight up an upgrade. After making impaling wire basekit, this would become the new "always run this" addon.
- 10 seconds before a chain hunt starts, the survivors all see the aura of all other survivors for that duration
- This lets solo queue survivors see if their teammates are running for the box or not and they can figure out who needs to go for it.
strong opinion but i gotta say i like how you think so try doing something like that for dredge for me next please

I'm not someone who plays killers very often, but I want to get better at it. Could you give me some advice? For example, which killer should I start with, which perks should I use, etc. I don't really enjoy camping or tunneling. I prefer applying pressure to generators. I'm not good at looping and especially struggle in shacks and jungle gyms, which makes chasing survivors less enjoyable for me.
I’m looking forward to your suggestions. Let’s discuss and exchange ideas!if you have trouble just call out @09SHARKBOSS and ask away
also i recomend aura perks so you can find people and possibly the legion or dredge for movement to said revealed survivors plus mah boi dredge gives a top notch aura perk for ya but if we are talking starting killers then either doctor or wraith

I honestly didn't think i would return as i really hated that game when i left during last autumn (i won 9/10 of my killer games without trying too hard but survivor became absolutely unplayable).
Well, let's see if i stay.Right now i'm struggling as killer. Yes, part of this is that i'm rusty of course, and strangely (even though i thought they announced something like that?) i'm stilly playing against 3k - 7k hours survivors, so my MMR got not resetted or diminished. I also don't really know what many new perks are doing exactly as i didn't follow the dbd news for months. Survivor on the other side was quite cool, i escaped in my only match yesterday, but i'm currently more hooked to play killer.
Now my question, is there something like a killer meta? I honestly couldn't find one, i looked through all the perks and also the new perks, and there wasn't anything catching my eye as very strong. Which is… probably a good thing? I mean that's how you want to balance a game.
But i couldn't find a build that works for me. I tried CoB + Pop on Wraith and Surge + Pain Res on Spirit but it never felt like great (enough) value. I also used Sloppy on both which got nerfed as it seems (######### why?). So i'm thinking about only one slowdown and then go for a fast start + information build or a chase build. But maybe i missed some new perk that everyone is using right now?just a quick recap FNAF is gonna be in dbd next summer

Which again, is assuming that
- The Entity claws are actually part of The Entity's main physical body or that (again) there even is a main physical body to begin with and that the claw aren't just like everything else, nothing more than an extension or manifestation created by The Entity itself that aren't directly connected to the main physical body.
- That the claws have an internal blood stream that connects back to the supposed main body of The Entity
- That there is a needle sharp and strong enough to pierce into the claw
- That injecting it into a claw doesn't affect only just the claw and that it can simply just manifest a replacement.
Honestly, i'm pretty sure that if killing The Entity was so easy and straight forward to do, someone in the fog would have already done it by now, so it's safe to assume that it's not.
Not to mention, if you kill The Entity, there will be severe consequences from doing so and it will indiscriminately affect everything and everyone in the fog.
yknow fair enough

That is if it can be turned into a toxin, even then you still need to find the actual real physical body of The Entity itself to use it on, that is assuming it actually has a physical form to begin with or an internal blood stream that the toxin can effectively be injected into.

Even then, the Compounds Blight makes from the nectar of the Pustula plants wouldn't really harm The Entity exactly because it originates from it directly, it would basically be the equivalent to someone taking a dump and then someone else trying to use said dump to kill the person that took it.
At best you can make them reek of #########, but you're not gonna be able to harm them with it, let alone kill them.
unless the thing is turned into a toxin and injected into the creatures blood killing it at an unknown speed

It wouldn't make any difference if the characters are pre-realm or not, you can't hurt something that you can neither hit nor damage in any meaningful way.
Everything we see of The Entity both outside and inside it's realm are nothing but extensions of itself, rather than it's full self appearing.
Meaning none of the Survivors and Killers can really do anything towards it with the only exception being possibly Vecna and even then it's uncertain how much he can really do, as we never saw them duke it out fully.
i thought "oh hey blight could get him" but remembered he only got the blight serum from the entity

Hi, so I don't really tend to speak on the forums but I feel like this issue is getting out of hand. I've been playing dbd for a while now and even though I'm not the best player by far I've always been able to play and enjoy the game both on my own and playing with my friends but recently I haven't been able to play without being tunneled out of the game. By tunneling I mean being the first person to go down and hooked and then getting chased straight off the hook until I'm out of the game, no matter how many teammates try and stop it the killer doesn't seem to care and just wants me.
Last time I tried to play with my friends I got tunneled 4 games in a row and I just stopped playing because I wasn't having fun. Even if I'm not the one being tunneled I see a teammate in the same situation at least once or twice every couple of games (think about 1/2 times out of 7/8 games).
Again I know that I'm not the best at the game and I could get better at running the killer around but I shouldn't have to become the best at the game or play at a competitive level to just have fun, to just play the game I paid for. I don't have a solution for it but if anyone can think of something to stop it it would be great, I really like playing dbd but if this keeps up I don't think I want to go back to it :(
previous statement is for you

https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/424112/tunneling-is-ruining-the-game-for-me
The only person that can ruin the game for you is you. We all play the same game and deal with the same obstacles. Step up.
you are both right and wrong about that
our buddy should try getting better at the game and improving their skills but i believe others can ruin the game for people
example: i dont tunnel or slug and i send the survivors "gg wp" at the end of every game no matter if i stomp or get stomped.
example in the other direction: a killer that does tunnel and slug (or hack) would make the game less fun for their enemies because it gives them little to no chance of winning unless they are god tier players or dont care about their teammates so they dont go for them anyways
try thinking about it from multiple perspectives to see their point as well as your own

Its happening almost every other game, took 25min to find the last 2 survivors because they refused to do gens and hid the whole time. After 25min looked like they got bored and started doing a gen so I found them. And people have the cheek to complain about 4min slugging? Really? Sorry but no sympathy from me, the last 2 survivors of that match was slugged while I watched them crawl around. That's the treatment people can expect from me, I'm sure others disagree with it but I'm sure many others do. And yes they were reported because as per Devs explanation, actively avoiding the objective (gens) when the hatch is not available is holding game hostage and is reportable.
