TruTalent came up with a good idea for the endgame when there is only one survivor instead of hatch play. The survivors aura is shown to the killer randomly and a certain number of pallets respawn. Then, after like a minute, the gates open and the hatch as well. I thought this would make the end game more interactive and show off some really cool skill of survivors and killers.

The moment I saw Ace, I knew there was something special. His gray hair, his cheeky smile, his finger guns... I knew from that moment Ace would be the one for me. It's not a perfect relationship. I have been tempted with the likes of Steve or Cheryl, but I come back to that happy-go-lucky beef cake every time ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

The reason I prefer unique addons is because I want something that changes the way I play the killer. Of course you have a lot of variety in this game because there are a ton of killers, so as a survivor you have to constantly change how you play, but we could take it a step further with addons as well. For example, the way I play against damaging-traps trapper is wayyyyy different than how I play against a normal trapper. The pig, the clown, the huntress, etc are always played against in the same ways, regardless of addons. It would be the mark of a truly skilled player to be able to identify what kind of killer they were playing against and conform based on addons.

When it comes to picking a survivor, just pick the one that you like the looks of the best, since they really are just cosmetics. You do not have to worry about their teachable perks since you an just unlock any perk you want for them later. Make sure you visit the cosmetic store to help you with your decision if you plan on buying skins later!

Last thing this game needs is longer gen time.
I actually agree with this. Before the pitchforks come out, hear me out. Generators from a gameplay standpoint are kind of boring. You just sit there and hold M1 with an occasional skill check. I am in favor of extending matches, though there has got to be a better was to do it besides making it take longer to repair gens. For example, they could implement a mechanic where you have to find gas to activate generators or something like that.

I really enjoy the amount of spookums we have right now in game. It seems the devs have gone for a heavy psychological horror approach, and it works very well! If I could add anything, I would prefer to have a much more diverse soundtrack, but thats just me.
-
Spirit is a diverse killer when it comes to perk builds due to her great mobility! Because she can move so quickly, it is good to use perks that capitalize on this. Here is a good build that more often than not ends in a win.
- Discordance - A perk that I almost think is extremely underrated. Discordance can honstly win you the game more than you would think. Not only is it a great detection perk, but you can use it to initiate a chase, and disrupt and apply map pressure. It counters organized SWF groups, buys you so much time, and stops those pesky generators from popping. On spirit, you can speed to a generator the second it turns yellow.
- A Nurse's Calling - Great on Spirit as you can quickly speed over to a survivor that is healing using phase walk. Simple and effective.
- Sloppy Butcher - Not only is it a great time waster, but it really powers up the effect of A Nurse's Calling. More healing time = more detection time.
- BBQ - Extra effective with Spirit as you can detect where someone is and hone in on them very qickly useing phase walk. To be honest, I mostly use it for the extra BP.
A few other perks that you could use are Hex: Ruin, Pop Goes the Weasle, and Surveillance. I have seen a lot of people who swap Nurse's and Sloppy Butcher for Ruin and Haunted Grounds as well. I hope this works for you in game, and good luck!

I don't think the number of pallets is as bad as the amount of pallets with no mind game potential. Even then, if the map was smaller, it might fix the problem as well. When I play killer on that map, I find myself never even leaving the side with the temple because gen pressure is mostly hopless anyway.
-
I also have crazy wait times at red ranks. Sometimes I will wait 20 or so minutes for a match only to have a DC and have to wait all over again. I know matchmaking is an issue, but I'm pretty sad having to wait so long for lobbys :(
-
One thing you need to put into consideration when evaluating a perk is the time it saves or wastes when you use it. For example, people like to use brutal strength because after kicking generators and pallets at a slightly faster speed, you have saved about 15 or 20 seconds by the end of the match. This is pretty good! Sloppy Butcher is great because you can save a TON of time as a killer making survivors heal for longer (an estimated 20sec-50sec per match). MOM is VERY powerful. A survivor can waste anywhere from 2 to 3 minutes extending the chase, and then you have to keep in mind that all four survivors can run it. DS has a similar time-wasting effect. This is why, even though it is very hard to activate, it is balanced.
TLDR; Killer perks are run when they can save 10-20 seconds because every second counts in a match but MOM can waste minutes of a killers time with no counterplay, hence its difficult activation effect.

I think to properly ballance the EGC, all that really needs to be done is increase the distance between exit gates. This forces the killer to give you time to open one of them. It at least gives you a fighting chance.
-
I think that the hatch closing is ok starting the end game collapse. The only thing I do think is kind of lame is how exit gates can spawn right next to eachother. In these situation, it's almost imposible to escape as a solo survivor.
-
Regardless, I have found it is almost imposible to get enjoyment out of red ranks anyway. The games are just so toxic, instaheals with meta perks on the survivor side and nurse/billy or best addons with meta perks on the killer side, games are so short and players are just hostile and DC. Purple ranks seem to be the most enjoyable atm, expecially with problems like yours so it may just be a blessing in desguise after all!
-
I don't have a specific statistic I want but I do have a question. There are a ton of games where people will not play as usual (doing a meme build, purposely dying to derank, etc.). Is there a process you guys use to discard these matches when considering balancing in the future?
-
I would even prefer a slight power nerf while taking away the hex effect.

This is about all the evidence I have to show that Jake Park and Evan Machmillan may be brothers. I might be wrong, but I thought it would be cool to show people my thoughts.
My research also shows something similar. Jake's brother, as stated in the lore, did graduate with honors from Yale, which is in Conneticut. I believe the estate is also in Conneticut. Benedict Baker notes that he visited a town quite close to the Town of Weeks called Wethersfield which is also in Conneticut. At the very least I do believe that if The Trapper was released as a DLC, his survivor would have been Jake. They seem to have many connections.
-
The Nurse is prefect for when you have gotten destroyed like 6 games in a row from SWF. For me, she's a great way to let off some steam.
-
Adrenaline is so situational that I feel it is fine to reward a survivor for running it when they do. The only time it is OP is when you are facing a 4 man SWF and they all heal at the last second. I would find some way to nerf SWF over adrenaline personally.
-
There was a bug recently on The Game which pretty much put the whole level into pitch blackness aside from some lights here and there. It really added to the horror factor of the game, so I agree that something should be done to enhance the scariness of DBD!

As a Pig main, would you also rather have something to boost your ambush attack? Right now I strive to P3 all my Killers and have played a lot of Pig when she came out and now recently again before I prestiged her. The traps are definitely cool, but I would also love to see a little love tap done to her ambush. Like potentially they could make those combat straps just a base kit thing.Any ideas for a different 'game' and rules which focuses on her ambush? :chuffed:
Like she dismisses the RBT and instead survivors get those traps used in the third movie which killed the doctor she was threatened into killing, unltimately resulting in her death. Those shotguns rings or what they were called. Maybe survivors couldn't get too close to each other at that point or smth. I dunnu, I'll leave it to the experts.

Honestly yeah, her ambush needs some help. If it lasted a bit longer or went just a bit faster, mind games around pallets would be much more viable. As for the combat straps, I use them every game, no questions asked, so yeah, those would be a very nice bonus to start with!

One thing I find interesting about the Entity is how it communicates with its own language. I know that someone found a way to translate, but it still begs the question, how does the Entity know how to communicate, and how did it teach the killers to understand its language?

@Mercury said:
Hey, that's a pretty cool idea. Even though I think that no way in hell would Amanda start off a tape saying hello everyone. xDIt definitely changes the way she is played and enables you to focus on your ambush a lot more, not having to really worry about trapping someone so quickly.
So you would be able to set the trap on your head immediately, even when the generator is at 0%? Wouldn't it be kind of hard for miss piggy though?
As a Pig main, I feel this would be a rather strong addon. Since traps are all about forcing survivors to waste time, this give Ms. Piggy a much stronger early game. In addition, you would know survivors are trapped due to status icons and be able to hunt survivors on Jigsaw Boxes. As a survivor though, it would force you to stick together to be most efficient and would force one survivor to bite the bullet and be the one who takes the trap. Thanks for your kind words btw

I play stealth often, and most of the time won't even be seen by the killer (if my team mates are decent anyway). Idk why I prefer this, but it works for me and I think its fun.

I wish instead of offering incentives not to camp they would make camping not a viable strategy.
-
You make this sound like it's ok for survivors to DC in these situations. There are no excuses for ruining your team mates fun. It always boils down to the fact that if you don't have the mental capacity to finish a game with people that depend on you, you are immature and probably shouldn't be playing the game in the first place.PinkEricka said:Reason for survivors to DC:
• being tunneled for no reason
• being camped for no reason
• having a ######### team that won’t cooperate
• being found when you literally just spawned 5 seconds ago constantly each match
Reason for Killers to DC:
• swf team trolling
If they didn’t DC because of these reasons, then they’re just cry baby entitled killers that can’t handle losing and have to pull the plug on their internet to ensure no one gets points if they can’t lmao -
Plain and simple, ragequitting is a sign of immaturity and entitlement. Survivors ragequit because they feel they should have won despite making bad plays. Killers ragequit because they feel they should have won despite making bad plays.
-
Well, it seems that The Clown was watching her from a distance. The entity might have just snatched Kate to coax The Clown into coming to the fog.
-
Honestly, even thought it is a bug it looks so cool. I would love to play a game in the dark like that, seeing as how it would make the game scary again!
-
I like how the perk is right now. The short time limit encourages killers to run from the hook quickly in order to use it. The regression given by the perk isn't too much but it isn't too little. It helps to extend the match length and is really satisfying to pull off. In addition, not being able to use it on already regressing generators allows subtle counterplay on a survivors part if they notice you have the perk in the first place. Good ideas, but I like how it is now.
-
I really like the idea of DS only being usable by the final survivor. This really fits Laurie's lore and would require strategy and careful planning on the survivors part rather than what we have now. +1 good idea!
-
The Trapper is the mascot of DBD simply because he was the first killer, originally called "chuckles" by the devs. I think he is the perfect example of a traditional killer though as there is nothing supernatural or special about him, he is just a big, devious guy that inspires despair when you see him.
As for his hooks, I'm pretty sure the devs did say he did not go along with the entity happily, so they were probably used as a "persuasion" tactic by the entity. It is interesting to think that out of all the killers, Evan might be the most "human" one. Given the choice to escape the realm, I'm sure he would.

I agree for consistency sake. Also who tries to snap out of it close to the doctor any way? It doesn't seem like this combo would be too OP to me.Gonna tell you now, as someone who played doc to rank 1, with nurses, it’s inpossible to escape him. The only way is to do a quick juke and immediately Snap out of it, but no, that’ll get you seen by nurses. He’s needs more chase powers, and less the ability to completely ######### on stealth
An easy way to fix all of this would be to change Snap out of it to not be healing any more. I know it would be a nerf, but honestly it would make The Doctor more fun to play against at least. He should be stronger in other areas.
-
As a killer main, I would give ANYTHING even NOED to get rid of DS.
-
Like John Kramer says, Failure to make the right choice will result in death...
-
The most insight we have into this topic is Kate's bio. At the end, it mentions how she is taken by the entity, but it is still up in the air how the others survivors were taken.
-
Lol can you imagine a huge beefy Evan MacMilan running from Amanda? I would like to see that.
-
I agree for consistency sake. Also who tries to snap out of it close to the doctor any way? It doesn't seem like this combo would be too OP to me.
-
I would change sprint burst by making it so it doesn't recharge unless you are crouched and not doing an action. This would make it so it wouldn't proc during chases, and slow the games down a bit.
-
This is an interesting idea. I'd like for the devs to put it in a PTB, because a concept like this would be really hard to ballance withough community feedback.
-
She is an interesting killer. Her skill cap is higher than people think, as there is a lot of mindgame, strategy, and devious trickyness you can pull off with her. I do not think she is OP at all, but I don't think she really needs a buff either. If I changed her in any way, I would give her more interesting add-ons, but thats it.
-
Honestly, I can't tell a difference, but to be honest something like that is hard to notice immediately. I have noticed however that the "middle of an open field" and "on top of a hill like a god damn lighthouse" totems are still a thing.
-
I love how well designed the look of The Hag is. I have literally had nighmares about her before, and she is no less scary in my dreams than in the game

-
While I believe that Myers is not only the most ballanced killer but the most fun to play against, I have a real big soft spot in my heart for The Pig. There is just something so satisfying about ambushing a survivor or getting a RBT kill. Ms. Piggy for life

David doesn't exactly have a weapon anymore. None of the Survivors do, which is why they cannot fight the killers. Also, and this is just a guess, but I believe the Entity has strengthened the Killers, hence why Killers like Amanda are able to carry Survivors around, break pallets, and damage generators. This makes the most sence to me. SAW III SPOILER I remember the scene from Saw III where Eric Matthews fights Amanda in the tunnels outside of the bathroom. Even though he has a mangled foot, he still almost takes Amanda down. In this universe, David King was a rugby player, so he is way more jacked than Eric ever was. If David can't take her down, then there is probably some Entitiy medling going on there. Lol, I always thought it was funny that Amanda, such a tiny little girl, could destroy solid chunks of wood and lift full grown men on her shoulder.
