Just adding to the pile of killers are too strong posts, maybe the devs will actually do something if enough people say something.
Even when i solo q i don't usually have a hard time escaping, this is at red ranks. Which region do you play in?

It is not hard to see which role has it easy: Killers by a long shot. Play a few matches and you see who struggles to win. Part of the reason is because survivors have been nerfed too much, maps are way too open with not enough pallets or vaults to extend the chase. Way too many deadzones, no way for survivors to defend themselves. Can’t even hide either. It is a serious balancing issue when 9 out 10 matches you play and 3 are on their bellies with only 1 gen is completed at most. Killer perks are mostly busted, especially by a skilled killer. A skilled killer is way too overpowered. It is exactly why Deathgarten flopped. Too competitive and survivors had no chance to win in that game when the killer knew what they were doing.
Evolve didn’t last either for the same reasons. Critics all said it was too competitive and PC Gamer said: “It didn't help that Evolve, a game "that only really works if you're playing with your friends," was $60 when it launched. "Getting your friends to spend a total of $240 on a game is a hard ######### sell," Colville said.
You literally can’t play DBD without 4 friends and even 4 friends struggle to win. That is wrong and the devs need to stop ignoring the elephant in the room, pandering to killers that expect a 4K every match.
All a killer must do now is put on 3 slowdown perks and a tracking perk and cruise control to a 4K. That is not balanced, that’s literally enabling god mode. Killers all need to be nerfed and survivors need to be buffed, and maps need to be more balanced so you don’t need a PHD in looping to last longer than 10 seconds.
I will ask again Sluzzy, have you ever tried playing Killer? If so, was it at the higher ranks?

Steve. Not all Steves are toxic but I swear Steve attracts a bunch of the toxic players.
Same thing with bunny Feng in my experience.
Bunny Feng is a demon spawn.

There should be an option to report these killers for unsportmanship gaming. As a new player to dbd i have been killed on site and not given a fair chance of playing any part of this game.
Killers are supposed to kill. Get better at avoiding the killer and/or learn how to handle chases.

In my killer games survivors find keys in chests way more often than before the update.
Same here, when i play survivor i find keys every other game.

@AgentTalon said:
Last 3 games I found a pink key, thought it was just me.
Just found two hatch keys in one match. This needs to be fixed.

@boostedsurvivormain said:
Yeah, I have been noticing that as well. I'm getting a lot more keys than I used to
Yep thought something was wrong, every other game when i play killer there's someone with keys, sure they could be green, but there's not much of a reason to pick those up, these people did not bring plunderers.

I was using it for end games because usually killers camping in end game when they get someone down. And when someone trying help just they swapping hook. And then who has ds saves teammate on hook and killer was punishing for camp & tunnel. But now it is useless. Because if i save my teammate i will lose ds and i will get hook. That perk is unhealthy and useless now. So i removed it.
And there is Ruin & NOED doing everything for killers but i never see killers said those perks unhealty. Just scare survivors and make them leave to gen. And hex ruin will do everything for you lol.
Both of these perks can be cleansed.

Game mechanics have no idea of the intentions of the killer. He is chasing someone and the perk is denying player choice to stop an objective from regressing even during a chase. That is horrendous.
This is very similiar to a person healing and the killer returns to look for the same person and tunnels. It is all still tunneling. Killer mains love the perk now because they can exploit it and tunnel. And, of course, inability to do the objective.
Sluzzy can i ask you a question? Have you ever tried the game mode where you can play as a killer? You should try it sometime, it can be fun.

DS nerf was NOT AT ALL needed. It was survivors' only ticket to survival against tunneling and consecutive hooking with 60 seconds. And now it is gone if you repair, cleanse, heal, etc. Now more killers will enjoy tunneling, calling themselves pro killers and add to the toxicity.
How about the Devs do something meaningful for a change and resolve the tunneling and camping issue? Do you think low rank players enjoy getting tunneled and camped?
Also what next? Gen repair nerf or surv sprint speed nerf? Killers need to up their gameplay and strat, not have everything spoonfed by the game. And I say this as a killer myself. It disgusts me to see killers come crying here requesting for surv nerfs.
Yes.
-
People will still tunnel, just like they did when old DS was a thing. I played against a 4man gen assault team, all rank 1 yesterday and was relieved to see they couldn't go around abusing what used to be a busted perk. They kept hook bombing and gen tapping, finally killers are able to punish it.

@Pig_Is_Pog said:
Ever since the ds nerf every killer just tunnels now. i havent been able to enjoy pretty much any game since chapter 19 because me or one of my teammates are constantly getting tunnelled out of the game.
DS is not feared anymore, it’s nothing to what it use to be. DS cannot stay how it is, it needs to have a full rework. It’s almost impossible to not be tunneled off hook, the ds nerf has affected how killers play and has made the game really unfun for survivor.
Pleaae just completely rework the perk so it’s still an anti tunnel perk but also can still be somewhat feared from killers...
Hey, at least queue times will be better.

Sure your argument works for coordinated SWFs but regardless of the match result the amount of people I see just get run down off hook and removed around 3-4 gens left just because they are the "weak link" in solo queue is just wrong. They barely get to play the game and survivor queues are so bad at night that they probably wait like 7-10 minutes for that experience.
There's a reason those queue times are what they are. (:
-
I am loving the DS change, being hit by a 59 second ds is far more uncommon now and if you see someone that's working on a gen they can't just sit there being in your face. The game needed this a long time ago, hopefully with this change a lot of killer mains will come back to the game which will also bring the queue times down for survivors.
Survivors will have to play their games smarter now instead of relying on a busted perk. I definitely felt the difference when playing survivor, but this is certainly a step in the right direction.

So far, from what i can tell (4 games in) i am experiencing zero issues. Met a poor Clown in one of my matches that was stuck using gamepad, he was spinning around a lot so i told him to disable his steam overlay.

Gotta say that I just tried this with the Steam overlay disabled for like 5 or 6 games as killer and have not ran into the issue yet. Could be a possible bug with Steam overlay? I can't be certain. Perhaps a stroke of luck maybe? I'll keep testing with it disabled and report back later. How are your findings?
Will try this now, maybe i will be able to play again.

Exactly the same issue, this is unplayable. Taking a break then until it's fixed in like two months. I hate to sound miserable but they couldn't fix hit boxes quickly when they broke and i have a feeling a small issue like this won't be high on the list of priorities.
Yea, been like this for three whole days now, game is literally unplayable. I am pretty sure this happened right after MMR was enabled so they must have messed something up then, this should have been fixed way earlier.

So far we know.
* Clean install does not work, nor does validating game files.
* Configuring game files such as camera options does not work.
* Sometimes it happens once you go into the second match, sometimes it happens during the first match, did for me twice.
* The issue can sometime occur in the middle of the match.
* Mouse appears to be wonky after a while which makes for laggy movements, turning your DPI or in game sens up barely helps, if you put your sensitivity up by too much it appears as if your mouse is broken.
* Updating game drivers do not help (i.e Nvidia Game Driver).
* Restarting your computer or steam does not help.
* It doesn't matter which mouse you have.
-
The only solution i can find for this so far is to quit the game every time you're done with a match and start it over again. You can also test to see if you have the issue by playing the killer tutorial so that you won't have to dc or have a miserable match where you can't control your character.
Edit: Nevermind this time it happened on my first match. Game is literally unplayable.
-
This time it happened within 12 minutes of me launching the game.

Can you please post your log files here on this thread, not sure if there'll be anything in there that can be of assistance but it's worth a try.
1. Press Windows Key + R to bring up "Run".
2. Type this in the "Run" prompt: %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\DeadByDaylight\Saved\Logs
3. The file called "DeadByDaylight.log" is your log file.
EDITED TO ADD - VIDEO WOULD ALSO BE VERY USEFUL, TO BE ABLE TO SHOW THE EXACT PROBLEM
There's not much to say, when people say the DPI is low they mean it, It's extremely low. Even turning my game sens up to max and my mouse it still appears to be slow, that or it just starts stuttering as if your mouse's laser was broken. The thing i am noticing is that it usually appears after the first match as a killer. It might just take a while to kick in or something. This needs to be fixed Asap.

I am hesitant to say I have found a fix, but I will direct everyone to this answer I found on Reddit from a year ago.
"It may be a scaling issue with Windows, my friend experienced something similar.
Right click the game in Steam, and click Properties. On the Local Files tab, click Browse Local Files. This will open the base install directory.
Click the folder called "DeadByDaylight" in the window that opened, then "Binaries" > "Win64". There's a file in there called DeadByDaylight-Win64-Shipping.exe
Right-click this file, and click Properties. Go to the Compatibility tab, and look for the button called "Change High DPI Settings" (https://prnt.sc/r4p0xv) and click it.
At the bottom of the window that opens, enable "High DPI scaling override". The box below that will have several options, I suggest trying them out in order to see if it resolves your issue. (https://prnt.sc/r4p34y)"
Give that a try and report back with your results.
Here's what I've done, and I think it may have fixed it temporarily. I edited the GameUserSettings.ini found in the "C:\Users\YourNameHere\AppData\Local\DeadByDaylight\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor" pathway. I changed the "KillerCameraSensitivity" and "SurvivorCameraSensitivity" values to 60 & 70. You'll need to have hidden files made visible to you. Doing both of these things works for now.
Nope didn't work, this bug renders the game unplayable as killer, really frustrating. I'm surprised this just appeared out of nowhere.
