I feel like most of us would love to unlink all the "skin sets" we have, but I it seem like it is more "easy" for them or their "pocket" to make linked ones.
-
They are all nice ideas, but I think most of us would cherish a upgraded Cheryl Mason model at least. It seem BHVR is pumping more collaboration power with Konami finally and that would be a great point to make with the new skins arriving.
-
I feel like they should test more their new skins/character models and consult community about them. Because it may seem weird, but I do catch myself at judging characters by their animations, even if 75% of time they are fine. That nasty low % just burn my eyes and make me seek another character to play.

I feel like the basic DBD game for me is a 1-3 hours at max. I did no life a lot with the Halloween event because the BP bonus and did 6+ hours many times, but I feel like it was artificial and only because it is attractive to a person that still have much to unlock to get the opportunity to do it faster.
-
I would love any souls like in DBD. Especially Bloodborne as my favorite.
-
I really enjoy Xenomorph. It's insane it is 33'd 😮

@TheGoon224 There is also the empty bracket where you can describe the problem, some people could have use it to tell about slugging.
I personally really don't see it in my games now. Like when I started and was in the newbie hell - yes it was often there - and maybe it is the case here. But now it is really hard for me to find a Killer that love to slugg. I like survival/altruistic builds, so I even run for a while "We're gonna live forever", but I very rarely had a use of it and it where just cases when someone was on the ground because some circumstances in match.

I thanked a Pig today who let me boop her snoot while in the void, and who then hid outside the portal and immediately gave me my third hook :)
She was a fun Pig!
I had yesterday a Bubba that was doing Bubba things like crazy. It was a tense and fun match. As I test different perks, I used yesterday Blast Mine a lot and 3 times hit him with it. At the end I found a hatch and thank him in the chat for the game worried a bit he will be mad about the stuns, but it was surprisingly a very cheerful person, we chat a bit and they told me they enjoyed hunting who was doing that.

The part on the lake with all the wooden structures would be perfect for that.
Would be fun if when you throw something to the lake, Del Lago would pop out like in the game and eat you
-
I feel like the only enjoyable things from the event for me where the new outfits and the points you got from the offerings. They allowed me to unlock perks for many other characters and made me start to feel fun from the standard gameplay (The irony in it). I now play DBD much more, before it was very casual because it just wasn't enjoyable with the current perk unlocking system.

This would be very cool. I wish they'd get a lot more creative with verticality in maps. Have a map with less horizontal and have like 4 levels to it.
Me too, especially with village from RE4. I fear the first district you see of it (the one with the bell and chainsaw-man) could be too small in DBD and I don't really like small maps here, so it could save it or extending some additional village locations to it to make it bigger.
-
If they would give even just one killer bot to us, that would be awesome. I would love the poster boy Trapper in this role, so he would not be too hard and let you test things. Maybe with some options to customize him in different ways.
-
@Ricardo170373 thank you for the screenshots! I actually was considering buying her, but I was not sure if I would play as her a lot. This do impact that.

To other survivors It's usually friendly, yes. Occasionally it isn't, but the context makes that pretty clear. With killers, it's hard to explain but there's a vibe to it. You can say thanks to a killer by tbagging. It's how you do it, and how they're acting too. If the killer is standing by the gates being non-hostile and you walk over, give them your item, and tbag once or twice, that's a thanks.
That seem like a nice way to interact and say it.

Because ideally this would be a multi-step process:
Step 1: Release a survey to figure out what topics should be addressed
Step 2: After you figure out what topics should be addressed, release another survey to go into more depth on each of those topics.
That would be a perfect world solution, but I feel also it would never happen without a more tight communication with the team. I feel like the team do read those topics here on the forum and I don't blame them they don't respond in most of them considering how are emotions flowing in them in negative way, but also it make the community voice here depended on what DEVs filter from our topics - and that isn't perfect.
-
The funny thing is that before I started to view the forum and the reddits, tbagging was just a positive way of expression towards others in my mind. Like many survivors when they meet first time in the game - tbag to say "hi" or when you unhook and heal someone, they can tbag to say "thx" - I see it often all the time. Then I read those topic about it and it was a culture shock 😮 I can only imagine that there are some casual people that don't view any media, they tbag at the gate to say "Thank you for the match Mr. Killer", oblivious to the fact the person have now emotional surge until they get a end game chat about it.

I have yet to receive a code for the promotional Halloween charm. I've checked my spam and everything. Nothing is there. Tried searching it all. Nothing. I check my account. I'm still signed up. What gives?
It maybe in spam, I found mine there by accident😅Good got one now!

I do agree that the survey should be improved, especially that many of those options are just empty points without any obvious solutions. However I am surprised that some people think (in this topic and the one before with the suggestion of survey improvements - I did read both) the point choice system is better than the empty space where you can freely describe your issues to the people that want to resolve them. For me that should be the most important part of the survey, because how can someone make your problems go away, when you won't share them in full way?
Some examples would be:
Perks are unbalanced. Someone tick it and what now? There are so many perks in the game, do they mean we should re-balance them all or some? Should we guess what perks? This lead to no problem resolving, but if you describe what perks and why are behaving this way. Also there is a large number of people doing the same - now we are getting somewhere.
Changes to existing features. Again! What features? Should we guess here? Or do you mean all? No solution without describing your issue.
Killer powers or addons are unbalanced. The same story like with the perks.
And yes those are all the original survey examples, there are even more there and the point of my post is to show it don't matter what side you prefer and feel is mistreat here. It also don't matter if you have 100 options for every side if they are just empty slogans and you don't want to share what you feel was your true problem. People that tick options that say nothing really just make themself still suffer from their problems.

Ellen's are so rare to see for me 😮.
As for my funny experience. I feel like Steave's & Ada's are the ones that shine the most of time and save me a lot. Nea's in Eto outfits are mischievous tricksters that play with the killer and end badly most time 😅A Dwight can be a blessing or a mega troll and Sable's have it the worst way, like they are priority targets for the killer next to ttv's & clear SWF. Poor Sables.

It maybe a unpopular opinion, but I do love the RPD map. Not only because the franchise, but also how they made the layout of it. As a Resident Evil veteran I visited the RPD in those games so many times, I feel at home in DBD RPD. Despite the numerous versions and blocked map parts, I never get lost there. I just get into a room and I am 100% sure what a room is next to it and how to get to point Y. No other game with a collaboration gave me such a experience with a map.😮
But to be fair it is also the map where I see killers quit the match most time.
Please bring back map offerings to their old values
I also do agree. People complain so much on the "bad map rng" and repeating maps, I can't understand why there are ways to avoid it, but they are nerf😐️

Those screenshots do look great! I would love to have those effects to boost the horror immersion even more. I feel like some maps are too bright and clean compared to others.

Look Im not saying you should sweat as much as you can but rather think, personaly I let someone escape or give him a chance to but I find that playing mr. nice guy is more counter productive than helpfull it will mostly backfire and most of times no one will notice it or say Ty and it will draw more toxic narcissist that will send you their Ez more than some normal message. So best thing is play as you want if you want to be nice guy go, if you want to tryhard well do it and if you play more like normaly and sweat or loose your grip a little if survivors are dying too fast on 5 gens then its your choice, personaly I sweat if my opponent sweats first Im mostly just adjusting my playstyle depending on what my opponents are doing like if I want to chase someone else and other survivor just abusing antitunnel agressively or bodyblocks me from the hook then Im like ok you want my attention now you will have it till you either die or i loose as simple as it is.
Just key thing is play as you want but then dont be sorry or angry because your sweating and tunneling failed or you were nice and now whole survivor team are calling you baby ez because it was easy game for them even the fact you held back (which happen to me many times and I have learned from that).
I do agree with what you say and I also don't believe you should be charitable to anyone despite yourself. In the end you should enjoy the game how you want it. I just wanted to share my experience that - yes, there are people like that and I do notice them as someone that play mostly a survivor and I do appreciate it. Because at this forum most topics have just the theme of "x,y,z" bad.
As for the end game chat it is like that and because it I have it locked on PC most time I play. I open it only when I really liked the match or something worthy of my words occurred in it, otherwise I skip it, because I play for my casual fun and relaxation, not to resolve people emotional problems. But even then I can see sometimes the "mud throwing", so I can imagine experience of someone that is constantly exposed to it.

Look I value your optimism but its easier to do as killer but how you wanna 4 other people bring to be more less sweaty. Thats the problem they wont be and there is always someone who will just sweat and be toxic and mostly survivors arent argue with each other in endgame chatt but they team up so if someone basicaly unhooks teammate instantly when you hook him and than sandbags that unhooked survivor (its rare but can happen) from my personal experience the farmed and unhookedm survivor will blame the killer even the fact the wrong move and main vilian of that story is his teammate who farmed him and than let him get caought again, its kinda sad but reality.
That is insane, but like today I had a Feng in my team that unhook everyone next to the killer and he tunnel every one of them. At the end screen she had Left Behind and she was a 34 level prestige - so it wasn't a newbie or a accident…but someone just played this way.
As for the kind and friendly killers. I feel like there are many out there. The more I play, the easier I can also notice when a killer "swap" his target to let someone play longer or how when they find a group of survivors, they choose the ones without hook states as the priority. I always try to appreciate it later in the chat. But also I feel like any game even if it ends in all of us dead, that let me play a bit and do some things for a while is a good one and most of my games at the moment at least - let me have that fun. I hope it will stay that way despite the horror stories in this forum😮
-
I main Rebecca Chambers and this is a funny one, because I feel like I have so many other Resident Evil characters that I prefer more than her in the mentioned game series. But in DBD Rebecca have some kind of a "charm" for me, like her lines and animations make me feel not only more relaxed, but calm, like everything will work out somehow if I give my best^^ Also all the Rebecca's I met made a positive impression on me and she make me push more for altruistic builds and experiment with them. But I still feel so new and I use the Halloween event to farm blood points and unlock perks for other characters, so probably a half year from now I could really say what a survivor or killer will stick to me more and if Rebecca still be the one then.😉

I didn't mean the later games in particular. Even in the earlier games, the player was a "doer", proactively fighting against the monsters. He was expected to succeed. Resident Evil was never about horror to me, not more than Castlevania, which in my eyes was the worst possible Dracula version they could have included. Castlevania uses characters and imagery from a classic horror theme (Dracula) and sieves it through the "everything is rad and cool"-filter of video games, losing the horror vibe.
Horror is about helplessness, facing the unknown without a safe plan to fall back upon. Being the hero wielding a weapon that solves the problem disqualifies any franchise from being horror.
You could argue that you also have a weapon in Silent Hill, but the horror there does not come from the threat of the monsters but from the "human monster", the dark secrets of the protagonist (in Silent Hill 2, at least, where Pyramid Head is from). It isn't the hero's objective to bring an enemy down, it is facing his own darkness and ultimately there is no happy end; the best you can achieve is surviving and coming to terms with the dark past.
I do enjoy Silent Hill games also and considering what you aim for. I can only say that sometimes the higher difficulty is the way to go, they even tell you in some newer Resident Evil games that choosing hard - less ammo, weapons on start etc is the difficulty you should choose as a series veteran. My best & closest experience to what you seek was in Resident Evil 3 original game. I was a teen there and fear had much more impact on me, but also the game had a monster called Nemesis in it and he often randomly show up in the city locations, make sounds and seek you to kill. Nemesis didn't care if you had a lot of ammo for your hand gun, shot gun or m-16. He could soak it easily and throw you like a rag doll all over the place and some of his attacks could instant kill you. I was always scared when he show up and I run from him most of the time, just to see him chase me to other city locations, it was tense and scary that a killing machine like that can pursue you for so long and you are hopeless despite the guns that in normal world should make you confident. Especially if you play at the hard difficulty - you had a hand gun and few bullets at start here and also it was the intended one, because only on it Nemesis drop special weapon parts. They even made a Nemesis "desktop pet" app back then and I once had it launch and run on my screen and making noises while I wasn't aware of it and then I was playing the game…for a while I was a paranoid in my game experience because I was waiting all the time that he will charge on me, before I realize the Nemesis "pet" is making all the sounds on my desktop😁 I feel like it was the most intense RE game for me and it was a very disappointing experience to see how they made the remake.
In the end I just wanted to share some of my experience here and show why I feel like I feel because of it. It is enjoyable for me to exchange that and see what other people seek in this game and what horror fans desire in it in this community.😜

None.
Don't get me wrong, I don't know many of these options, but I'm not a big fan of including the "wrong" Pop Culture franchises. Mainly, characters that don't really are "horror". D&D is not horror, Resident Evil is arguably not horror as you are the hero gunning down enemies and its style doesn't fit the game. Silent Hill IS horror, by contrast.
Tokyo Ghoul, being an anime, had me wondering, but they made Kaneki's looks fit the game. Still hate playing against him.
The Resident Evil is a complex one. Because it is a survival horror and "gunning the monsters" was implemented as a "change of style" in later installments in the game. I can see why people that see the new Resident Evil games feel like it is more of a shooter than a horror, but the first three at least where about not having enough ammo, horror and survival.
-
I would love to have Jackie Estacado in this game. His power set is very complex, a mix of darkness manipulation and minion spawning. We have already a one killer The Knight with minions, it would be great to make the presence of them more active in this game. Also Jenny Romano as a survivor 😍
-
Resident Evil franchise is still a great treasury full of potential skins, I hope they revisit it. If not sooner, then at least when Requiem will come out - any huge release is a good reason to put some skins in the game🙂I would love to have a Billy Coen, Luis Sera or Ashley Graham skin. As for the Village Lady D is like the must have and I love @Starlesque idea of Donna Beneviento, especially the Twins & Angie mechanic could look like real fun.
-
As a new player I do feel like the Nostromo and Toba maps are good (for a survivor at least), but I also feel like they are overused in my games. Like I have 60 hours of the game and I had just once the Walking Dead map, but those two are every 5 I do😐️
