  • Jake, Dwight, And Bill

  • I have a 1000 hours on Hag, I main Clown and Plague.

  • @Marc_go_solo Dr.Jekkyl/Mr.Hyde killer seems a lot like Blight. But they could totally do a Transform kiler of sometype. I am pretty sure Blight might cover that archtype though with his lore and things.

  • heck out the Blob killer https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/306691/0/#Form_Comment

@gilgamer Is the werewolf THE MOLE CREATURE NOW??????? Werewolf tunnlers. They would need to do like Rat Person or something and make sewer tunnels.

@KrampusJumpscare IKR! I am surprised they haven't done one yet.

  • It's a huge map just hide when you hear terror radius. But don't be immersed. You typically want to run to a gen across map when you start. Remember the killer has to patrol heavily on this map. It's huge. Center building is always your best friend on ALL the maps. Just bee line to the center building.

Double L walls are not always safe. The Double windows.

Always look for pallets with a long structure attached to it and loop against that structure. Always loop on a side of a pallet that will lead to the next escape plan. You don't want to dead end yourself on a loop. You usually have 2 to three loops on a loop. 4 is pushing it with dead heard. Tight motions, you want to make sure you are cutting your corners and things as tight as possible to save space around a loop on both killer and survivor.

If they don't break a pallet remember it and abuse them for it. Chain looping into center building is always strong.

Always pack DS, Unbreakable, Borrowed Time is good as well, Iron Will is a favorite of mine. Kindred is a must have if you are soloing survivor.

  • Does the Gelationous Terror need a terror radius? Could he expose you if he bloodlusts you? Bloodlust blob sounds scary.

Does the Blob need a terror radius? Teir 1 mikey moments are the best thing ever. Blob boi could be loved. No exposed involved right? Because if the blob catches you how bad is it? Just throwing this idea out there.

It's not bob the blob. It's not flubber. It's the gelatinous terror.

    blob.jpg flubberino.jpg

ITS THE BLOOOOOOOOOB!!! Blob hype needed. Bring The Gelationous Terror to DBD

  • th.jpg

    THE BLOB. It's not Bob.

  • Also Quentin face rework when?????

  • Is Spirit on the radar for changes?

Is intentional DC'ing going to be addressed soon? This sucks on both sides and is ruining the game for everybody.

    ==========================================================================

    @Peanits

Well done on fixing Nurse and Instaheals. These are the best changes you have made for the game in years. Hitting both sides at once is never a bad idea.

I hope to see you guys continue to hate out the uninteractive mechanics on BOTH sides.

The Archive is an AMAZING addition to the game and I love that it rewards you for playing both Survivor and Killer. A great way to get people to do play both without forcing them. Whoever came up with that idea, give that guy a promotion.

The game is looking better and better with each patch. These were strong steps in the right direction.

  • @Ihatelife Haddon just needs the Badham treatment. Shelter woods needs actual shelters put in.

  • @Nutty_Professor After Lampkin Lane I feel like they will probably QOL a lot of the maps until they get solid feedback. Shelter woods seems like it's supposed to be a stealth map but there isn't enough things to hide with. Line of sight blockers like crates and maybe an extra jungle gym or two would really help, or add more tall brush and make it similar to the estate, i could totally see small ponds with cat tails and high grass on this map. I do think it has a obscene lack of pallets, or they are spaced so far from one another they don't feel relevant. It's one of the few maps that don't have a center structure that can be abused and that really kills it for survivors. I would really like to see them put a middle building with the tree growing through the middle. Like some kind of backwoods hovel. Some of the maps have too many pallets too close together, this one has too few and too far without a middle building.

  • @bomb1720 Sorry for the late reply. So plague has the ability to projectile vomit on survivors and make them sick. The moment the vomit touches them, a timer starts. The timer is accelerated by performing actions like running and working on gens. It does not progress at all when crouching though and if a sick survivor touches things in their enviornment or other survivors, the sickness can spread. Additionally sick survivors vomit every few seconds, cough loudly, and emit a green haze when they run and she can hear survivors in lockers if they are sick. The more puke she lands on a survivor the less time on the timer. Once the timer runs out the survivor has the broken status effect (The survivor is permanently injured and a cannot be healed). The only way to remove this is to cleanse at the several fountains located around the map. When the survivor cleanses the Plague can go to the fountain they cleansed at and grab her Corrupt Purge. Basically this turns her projectile vomit into a damage dealer. Only 1 drop is needed to damage a survivor. It lasts 60 seconds at base.

Strong survivors typically don't cleanse until a few gens are done, and sometimes not at all. Meaning Plague doesn't get to use her corrupt purge that often in high Purple-Red Ranks essentially turning her into a killer that has to play around looping and manually smack the survivors (Even with them broken, can be a time sink depending on map and survivors skill level). The other strategy I have seen survivors do is cleanse the moment they get sick and hideout all game, which can work on indoor maps and stealth maps like Yamaoka Estate. I don't find stealth the most effective way to deal with her, but it can work for stopping the sickness from every spreading in the first place.

  • @Unicorn <3 <3 <3 Thanks for breaking the mood.

  • @Unicorn Oh thanks! I usually put a lot of work into the artwork. Photoshop is the best. Here's the real artwork unedited. Just so the artist gets some credit.

    “The plague”

  • Post removed.

  • @blueberry Thanks for ruining the post.

  • @blueberry ok

  • @Blueberry *rolls eyes* I don't care.

  • @blueberry Just go with the clump. It's sounds more like your opinion than an argument. I didn't come here to argue. I disagree with a lot of what you say but I don't pin point everything in a long list. Your intelligence is strong. The delivery is bad. Just wrap it differently and you won't get taken wrong bro. Just having a conversation. You're cool just please stop doing that. It's doesn't look good at all. I'd rather you barely know English and give me a broken paragraph than try to direct your comments AT ME. It comes off as really rude. Anyways I am done with this situation. New peeps are here, lets brainstorm and chat about the killer. <3 <3 <3 <3

  • @PoisonN Make it darken like legions stun, kill the peripheral vision. That sounds a little too strong tbh. Like I kinda wish they'd get rid of some of the cooldown and charge add on's because there's no point after initially breaking them. I was running Thanataphobia for awhile it seems to help push them to cleanse. Dying light can really make the game stand still once it gets going. What else are you running that with out of curiosity.

  • @Blueberry Copy pasting peoples statements and picking them apart seems very personal to me. It seems more like you are talking down to people than actually expressing your opinions. You sound like you are scoffing at me more than you are contributing to any kind of actual conversation. Your format isn't exactly inviting me to come over and chat it up with you. I'd really rather not.

  • @Blueberry I'd love to brainstorm with you about plague and how to actually fix her if you'd kindly stop talking down to me. Thanks.

  • @Blueberry Also picking apart my comments and then bashing me personally for them doesn't exactly make your argument any stronger. In fact I would say it makes you look like a weak minded individual because you can't express an opinion without directing it at someone. It's a discussion be an adult and treat it like one. This isn't politics and it's not a hockey game. It's a simple discussion about a killer we both like and would like to see playable at a higher rank without it being morbidly boring. If you can't handle a simple opinion without taking it personally you are a weakling and you should stick to phone calls because written material might not be your strong suit.

  • @Blueberry I play Plague at high purple to Red ranks every reset bud. I deal with Red Rank survivors all the time, it just takes some grit. I am quite aware that she is very loopable. Please remember that Red ranks are not the target of the devs changes to anything in this game. Red ranks are a small elite group and the changes need to feel right across the board for average players and high rankers. Especially when most people are in green ranks and below because they play the game casually. Red ranks is where the game breaks horribly on both sides. Alot of Red rankers are totally out of touch with the majority of the community because the sweat in their games creates different problems and worse solutions.

What works for you may not work for me.

I personally find Black incense + apple and slugging at the right time to be very easy to 4k off of. You can literally just equip combat perks if you are having trouble. If you need to see proof of the potency of Corrupt just watch any streamer with 3000+ hours. It should be obvious, literally a child could see that it's a strong ability when coupled with being broken. Most red rank players aren't even running ruin anymore, they just slug because that is better at slowing down the game and less of a gamble. Knowing where everyone is and having 60 seconds to one tap all four of them is rather strong I'd say. Just watch Monto sometime, he got corrupt one time in a game and literally the game ended right then and there. The potential of Corrupt purge shouldnt be underestimated. I normally bring two apples and just wreck them mid game with it.

It probably feels bad to use because you haven't really had much of a chance to even use it. Which is the problem. You never get to actually use the ability.

  • @Mr_K

Huntress doesn't even need red hatchet head!

    HUNTRESS strong like rabid Bunny!

    Huntress throw lots of hatchets!

Huntress gonna catch her a man after she help Adiris!

Maybe a Dwit or a Jake! Death by Snu Snu!

  • @pemberley Black incense feels like an auto win for her right now. But I admit that would be cool. Broken is such a powerful status already I was concerned about throwing too many more into the mix. Clown can stack a whole cocktail of of effects onto his bottles when coupled with sloppy. That only lasts 60 seconds and is rather strong. Imagine being exhausted or oblivious ALL game because you refuse to cleanse.

  • I think I'll do an article on Dying Light and whats happening like I did for my older posts.

  • @ad19970 I actually would like to see

Freddys Jump Rope Add on Reduced or moved to a higher rarity or it's flat 9% lowered. 9% slow down on anyone in the dream is a lot for a green add on. I also want to see Freddy's microsleep timer adjusted to be a little higher in general.

Microsleeps happen way too fast right now, triggering the slow downs. Like 5-10 seconds would probably do it tbh. This would give Survivors some breathing room between breaking the dream and dealing with the action speed slow downs.

Remember that Freddy can pack make your choice and camp now too because of the oblivious changes and since healing is slowed and actually allowed to happen he is halting the game because survivors are also wasting time healing.

Plague locks them out of healing entirely so they can only really push gens, or cleanse. At least with plague Survivors have a choice. Cleanse and interact with the killer, or hold M1 and stare at Gens. I see more people cleansing now. I don't even need Ruin anymore. With Legion the action speeds don't effect mend times and there is plenty of time before you absolutely have to start mending.

Thanta could be lowered from 16% to 12% max and now stay in effect for dead survivors. It's that or rework it outright. But I honestly think it's Freddy being over-tuned creating the problem.

Dying Light stays the same over all. I think it is fine as is. On it's own, it helps slow down the mid game and snowballs hard. (Consider that this is Mikey's perk and that Mikey struggles to stalk mid game when his terror radius is on and everyone is avoiding him.)

  • Freddy just feels like he's getting too much raw numbers from his add ons on top of the Thanata and Dying Light.

  • @ad19970 Honestly after running it on Freddy that 55% slow down with ruin and his map presence. I think He's the contender. I have been running it on plague and she still struggles. But at least now they feel pressured to give me my power or suffer the slow. I actually think she might be more fair at this point. I refuse to run ruin on any of my killers now. I hate that perk so much.

  • I have been running it on my plague. I've mained her since she hit the test servers.

Dying Light, Thanataphobia, Stridor, BBQ (If I have Black Incense or don't need BP I swap it out for a combat perk or Blood Warden)

I used to run Ruin instead of stridor, but it felt like overkill. But I have seen a lot of survivors complaining about how awful playing a 15-20 minute game is instead of them just being allowed to power through gens. I still get hard looped at times and Dying Light sometimes never even gets going.

With that said it feels like them stacking alongside ruin is really bad for the game. It forces survivors to cleanse or give me all that time to catch them. That or outright out loop me. If they can't I probably 4k.

With 6 stacks of dying light and max Thanataphobia thats 34% slow down. That is a full dying light. I honestly think Ruin is whats pushing it over the edge.

Freddy adds swing chains and thats 3% per survivor in the dream so 46%. Jump Rope adds 9%. That's 55% with just 6 stacks of Dying Light. With Ruin this doesn't seem fair to the survivors at all.

Legion sounds like this should make him strong but it doesn't. He stacks knives and raises mending time from 15 to 20 seconds. He has to have momentum which is hard to get when he's play stabbing people to make them bleed. If he has momentum and is getting hooks it is potentially very strong. I'm unsure if it's on the same level as the other two. Needs more testing.

  • Ok just making sure, there seems too be a lot of them. Your can icon is so disapproving. I like it XD.

    Thanks alot!

  • Also if I am allowed to what tags should I use?

  • SWF isn't going anywhere. In fact squads of 4 aren't even that common according to dev data. I would like to see an icon in lobby that says who is in swf and who isn't though. I think that alone could make a world of difference. If you don't want to deal with SWF you should be able to dodge.

  • Swf is a strong edge that the game doesn't reward the killer for. Dev Data showed that SWF squads are less common than people tend to think. But when they do happen its a bit traumatic for killers cause it can turn into a bully session really fast. I'd like to see a icon letting you know who is and isn't together in lobby. I didn't sign up for bully squads and shouldn't be expected to play against them. That or I should at least know who has an edge on me.

  • problem is that survivors can see your stalk bar as it goes up. They aren't looking for Ghostface they are just waiting till they see the bar start climbing

  • @PwnyFish

I would advise you to actually play solo survivor. Watch how often you see a Hag. 1 in 15-20 games. Anybody that's actually played survivor can attest how common Billy is,you don't need a percentage to show whats obvious if you actually play the game for more than a few hundred hours. Nurse is basically the only thing you see at red ranks with some Billy, Huntress, and Spirit thrown in from time to time. They don't need nerfed into the ground they just need to be looked at. I'm fine with their power level, I just want some kind of built in counterplay that actually gives survivors interaction because there isn't any right now.

    Current Counterplay

Nurse: break line of sight, avoid open places, flashlight her when shes stunned, try to hide when shes stunned.

breaking line of sight is a soft counter that does nothing against a seasoned killer who can guess your general vicinity or use sound to pin point you. Some maps are just death against nurse. You are usually downed before shes stunned. Pallets mean absolutely nothing to nurse.

Billy: block his path with objects/structures, force him to M1 by looping him really hard, hide from BBQ with lockers to end his pressure chain, attempt to dodge the chainsaw,

If he gets close enough to you the chase ends immediately, being a god at looping shouldn't be the only discernible counterplay, that's unrealistic. Hiding from BBQ is one of the few things you can do, but then he can just abuse the rest of your team and chain pressure off them, good luck trying to dodge that hitbox and if he has add ons you are basically boned. His kill rate is still in the top three across all platforms along with being one of the most popular.

I'm not buying your argument. It's common knowledge they are both broken as all hell.

  • Ignore this post

  • @PwnyFish

Hag and Trapper have high kill rates, but if you look at play rate its very obvious who is favored. Hag and trapper are just capable of camping out kills very easily which isn't the same as over performing. Kills don't equate to being a top tier killer. You also have to remember those graphs are across ALL platforms. So nurse gets gimped because of controller. Also Billy and Nurses kill rate get gimped even more because a lot of people get told they are the strongest and go immediately too them before they are ready. I'd say Nurse especially. Billy not so much. Any pilot with half a brain can pip as billy. I'd like to see a graph that says which killers single and double pip the most often.

  • Ignore this message

  • @PwnyFish Thanks for the response bud! I don't assume I am right on everything. The first thing is admitting these are actual problems rather than never seeking to improve the game for BOTH sides. If the devs would just throw things on the PTB more often things might actually get fixed.

Billy over performs across all platforms according to dev data. He is the number 1 killer in the game while Nurse is at the top of PC. It is too easy to create pressure as Billy because chases can end too quickly. He punishes survivors for the slightest mistake when Billy can make several mistakes and not be punished. A lot of the community doesn't want to deal with Billy. Nurse at least requires micro intensive gameplay and a lot of muscle memory. Billy is just timing and spacing which can be developed on any killer.

Could be his add ons or it could be that he has too much mobility. He is the only killer that gets practically free insta downs at base. Mikey has to stalk and the others need add ons to get exposure. Billy just has it and its easy to get on someones booty and end the chase instantly. It may also help if they fix the chainsaw hitbox.

The articles aren't supposed to be the end all be all for what should or shouldn't happen, just to get peoples brains moving in a constructive way. <3 <3 <3

  • @miaasma

Not sure how to change her without making her trash. I agree she is very consistent but shes not nearly as popular as Billy. Also Iron Will outright counters her.

  • @Ember_Hunter I mentioned Nurse balancing in my survivor post. I honestly don't want her nerfed or changed majorly. Shes fine as she is. I just want more obvious counterplay to her. Remove her ability to see scratch marks and make give her a darker screen when she ends her blinks a lot like they did to legion.

  • @miaasma

Billy is played more than spirit though. Billy is top tier across all platforms according to dev data. He's over performing compared to spirit. I consider Billy much stronger than nurse because he is far easier to play at a baseline.

  • @AStupidMonkeyy You sound like you got the right idea. You sounds like your just playing the game like a normal person, wish more people did that XD

  • @darktrix

I don't think I was thinking about my 4k or 4 escape when I wrote about any of this. I blatantly set out my perspective at the beginning of the post. Additionally if you think I am just some kind of disgruntled Killer main, I should let you know I did the Survivor article first. There is not a single change in my posts that have been strictly about winning or strictly favoring one side. It has literally all been quality of life stuff that I hear a lot of people in the community bring up. The negativity is unwarranted.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/67486/survivor-gbu/p1?new=1

  • Ignore this post

  • @AStupidMonkeyy

Some people are just negative. Can't please em all. I would say most of what I brought to the table are core complaints of the killer role. Just like I brought the core complaints of the survivor role up in my Survivor GBU. I doubt his response has anything to do with my post, it seems like more of a personal problem if you know what I mean.

  • Ooo I actually kinda like that Wraith add on idea, after unhooking in the killers face it doesn't count as tunneling in my mind. Unhook perks need to have a safety timer like they did with We're gonna live forever. Don't farm your friends.

  • @premiumRICE

I am not sure if steam actually cares. A report button would help. I think people assume I am generalizing. In reality taking some sort of stance on toxicity would help the over all health of the game. I personally don't care how lenient or harsh they are about it, so long as the extremely derogatory names are out of the game. I know that Riot just forces you to change it once it is flagged, and then bans you out for a few days. The reliance on steam makes this situation harder than it should be.
