I've just stopped wiggling altogether. I hate the new system, never used it in beta and don't care to use it now.

Same, F8ck the new system. It sucks and they should have left it in the beta, in the patch notes it said that killers would have a "more difficult time by walking in a straight line" but I don't find that true cause I see killers walk more in a straight line then ever so I guess they only tell us crap...

  • @RStrife said:

Yea I didn't use that 'new wiggle system' either because it took too much of my awareness away from my surrounding, and put it on the stupid skill check. They should have left it an option instead of forcing it on us. I can't enjoy this game now. But, I am only a whisper in the wind, so why should bhvr care about people like us.

Yep this is what I thought as well, they should have make it an option on how people want it. This new wiggle system is bad af IMO...

You’re not wrong for thinking this game is more killer sided especially with only 600hrs in the game. Trickster is very very unfun to go against even with 5k hrs in the game you will still complain about how unfun trickster is to go against. It’s hard and frustrating because the learning curve/skill gap between a survivor with 600hrs vs a survivor with 5000hrs is a MASSIVE difference as far as extending chases for longer and staying alive in general. Please don’t take that the wrong way it’s just how this game is. Grindy asf.. This game is killer sided imo until you get over that grindy tedious skill hump as survivor to a degree.

Like you have your opinion I have mine so im happy for you that you think the game is ballanced :) And I don't know anybody with more the 5000hours in the game so I can't know :)

Deffinatly is not killer based. It's very balanced imo. I can agree it's killer based when you first get into the game but once you learn the mechanics as survivor the game leads to survivors side. 3 amazing survivors and 1 ok survivor vs 1 amazing killer will end up in survivors winning. Don't see how the game is unbalanced

It's nice that its balanced for you :) For new people who are against players that are red ranks and play allot its not balanced at all.

  • @GaslightGabby said:

If you think that this game is killer sided it's pretty safe to assume that you're at low MMR. You're not skilled enough to escape and therefore you die and derank in MMR, netting you lower teammates and forcing you into a cycle of death that isn't possible to escape unless you get good. And getting better is next to impossible when you're not going against good killers. This is an unfortunate consequence of MMR that probably won't go away.

However, I'll give you some tips to counter the killers you mentioned, because none of them are OP or really even all that powerful.

Huntress- Loop high walled structures that block line of sight. If you hear her wind up, pay attention before running into an area where she can hit you. For example, if you're looping a pallet on Ironworks of Misery, the kind that Huntress can't shoot over, and you hear her wind up, pay attention to see if she's at the pallet before you cross that area. This obviously only applies if the pallet is downed. If it isn't, greed it as much as possible, even when you won't make another loop, because most Huntress players wind up at pallets. When in the open, be as unpredictable as possible and watch where she's aiming.

Trickster- Break line of sight and loop high walled loops. When out in the open, move in a diagonal line and switch the direction of that line when his knives are consistently hitting you.

Doctor- His Shock Therapy slows him down and prevents him from getting Bloodlust. If he shocks at a pallet, don't throw it out of panic, keep looping. If he continues shocking, never drop the pallet because it's not possible for him to catch up. On the rare occasion you find a Doctor who knows how to use his power, run in a straight line and avoid looping altogether. That's a guaranteed 40 second chase because Doctor has nothing to counter this playstyle.

    I hope this helps!

it's safe to say that I am pretty skilled and that I can loop most killers for 3/4 gens exept when I get hit by a huntress or deadslinger or trickstar who can shoot through rocks & walls🤷‍♀️ Besided I get a pip every match and many times I get 2 pips so :) thank you for the tips but I dont need them✌ But I will let my friends who just started with the game read your tips😁

  • @laucters said:

Yes the game is very well unbalanced my dear friend however it is not killer sided. And ranks dont mean #########. Anyone who plays a lot can get to red ranks. Ranks are not a measurement of skill but measurement how much time one sinks into dbd. And you, my dear friend, are a prime example to those kind of people. You don't deserve to be in the red ranks if you actually think that game is killer sided.

I said I was red ranks before they changed the ranking system ;) And you don't know how I play so you can't know😉

I say the game is unbalanced and more killer based that survivor based and thats my opinion so😉

No it’s a puss way to play because you can’t play the game the way is was supposed to be played. Same goes with anyone using the new doctor after his update. The killer has no skills at all.

    I agree :D

  • @[Deleted User] said:

The Devs themselves have said time and time again that the wicked 3; camping, tunneling, and slugging are perfectly viable strategies the killer can incorporate into the game, just because you don't agree with these doesn't mean people should be punished. I play a lot of survivor and imo camping doesn't bother me at all because at the end of the day, it's a game, the same goes for tunneling and slugging.

The forums is for everybody so if somebody won't agree with camping they can say that here. And if you can see there are already many post with camp problems so good for you when you don't have the problem ;)

If you bring % of your killer games to 50, your opinion will probably change. The balance is on the side of the survivors, but it becomes noticeable only if you play a lot on the killer, otherwise experienced survivors simply will not come across to your lobby. Therefore, there are many situations where camping allows poor killers to somehow straighten the game. Of course, there is just camping in the form of trolling, just to spoil the game for another person, but this is the same downside of the game, like tbag and killer bullying by strong survivors. I'm just already used to both of them.

    >I get chaught allot because my looping is so bad and im trying to improve on that :P

I think you will succeed :)

Yes i should do that :)

Yeah camping sucks but I'm working on the perks to help me out when somebody is camping :)

Less than 300 hours? Don't be offended, but this is small. Rank even in the past was easily gained when playing in the SWF, in a team of at least medium skill, even a not very experienced survivor could be on the red. And now, after changing rank reset system and nerf ruin, it has become even easier. For killer, I already began to meet survivors of red rank, game of which showed that they were clearly weak, it was easy to catch them. I don't mean that you are completely new, but you still don't know many aspects of the game.

Do you play as killers? How many percent of the total? I play 50/50 for both sides.

    > I'm trying to get the perk borrowed time but i recently unlocked it and have no luck yet :(

I have 6 survivors 3 prestige with all perks, so this is not a problem. For fast farm BP, better to play as a killer, he can get more per game, especially with “Barbecue & Chili”.

Yes, for a successful rescue from camping, you need a BT or DS at hooked, without them it is much more difficult (but still possible). This must be done by at least two, running to the hook at the same time to avoid grab, one take a hit, second protect wounded. It's possible for one if you have active DS and not far from open gate, or you have a BT, then other survivor may try to protect you by taking a hit on himself (since BT is active). But saving alone is much more dangerous. Adrenaline can also help if you team can get last gen on timing.

But if the killer is experienced, all this (including flashlights) may not help. It's always a risk of death for others. It's very difficult to save from a skilled killer, personally verified for both sides. Just one will change on the hook of another. Or worse, killer may slug a few. So reconcile that sometimes your friends will die :) Sometimes better to leave, so as not to lose more. You will understand all this with more experience. Or maybe devs will again listen to new survivors, and nerf killers even more :D And then killers will just stop playing this game. :D

    >And it's oke, we all make misstakes same as me being a ######### to you. Truly sorry for that !

Okay, and you excuse me if i seemed rude :3 You are my favorite ######### on this forum 😄

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1064117#Comment_1064117

But he is still weak against skilled survivors.

Yes i have less then 300 hours xd. I have the game for years already but i always swap between games :) And i know that is small haha my friends have twice as much xd

I normally only play this game with friends but i start playing killer as well sometimes when I want to play but no friends are online. So lets say i play survior 8/10 and killer 2/10 :p

I am getting the characters now to level 50 to unlock perks that I want and BT is recently unlocked. I have 8 surviviors at level 50 now.

I don't want them to nerf killers cause i think most killers are pretty balanced. I get chaught allot because my looping is so bad and im trying to improve on that :P

    Thanks :D <3

"My Guy" is a general quote, in this instance not meant to denote gender, but impatience with the foolish bravado all survivor players seem to share. I personally never camp or facecamp, and when I play survivor I'm cool if they do, because it's the only way Killers are gonna keep playing the game, really. That is the system that whiny survivors made. A Killer has to be ruthless, dirty and savage if they want to actually pip, or at least get decent bloodpoints. We can no longer afford to play by survivor rules, those of us that did. But, this is a pointless back and forth. You'll try and rescue your friends, and you'll die doing it. Enjoy that.

    Oke i will try xd

  • Good tip! Thank you for that :D

  • @bob_bobber said:

Unlike DS, it is possible to use Perk such as BT.

Camping is also a risky activity. Survivors can respond to killers by quickly turning on the generator and escaping.

Now we need to reduce one survivor early because of the generator rush. That's why camping as needed is often an option.

I don't think anyone can blame a killer who takes the option of camping at risk.

Yes i recently unlocked Borrowed time but didn't have it in my bloodweb yet :(

Thats a good one, didn't think about that :O

You don’t know how to accept feedback, aggressively reacting to every comment that you don’t like. You wish people to "be camped in every game in their life." You look at things selfishly, only from your position, not wanting to think about the gaming experience of the other side. And telling me about respect. If you feel bad that your opinion is not indulged - these are your problems.

And your ostentatious wishes of a “nice day” look like a lying mask of politeness, which does not make your speech different from mine.

You sound like a newbie. And if you are not right due to lack of experience, and people tell you about it, this is not rude. This is a statement of fact. And when people don’t understand such obvious things, someone has to speak more explicitly.

You can see what answered me when I created a topic that also sounded like a newbie topic.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/22636/ability-to-disable-the-most-hated-killer/p1

The people who answered me were more experienced, and they were right. But not me. And later I realized this. But even then I admitted that maybe problem is that I have little experience, and not the Pig is OP :D. You can’t even admit that you’re wrong, although all experienced players will answer you the same way I did.

    >Yeah sure say tough guy, that if you can read you see I'm a girl lmao

Oh. This explains something. I did not see in your speech references to the feminine. Anyway English is not my main language. Whatever :)

    >Have a nice life kid

    Kid saying :)

I do acchept feedback but if people say things I think are rude then they can get it back.

I didn't lie to you when i said have a nice day, but i can image that you think it is a lie. Maybe I sound like a noob but i played less then 300 hours and made it till red ranks already so i think I'm doing pretty fine :P

Thank you for letting me see your old post, i was lauging about it xd I'm trying to get the perk borrowed time but i recently unlocked it and have no luck yet :(

Camping isn't fun, chasing and downing survivors is fun. Campers get destroyed when they move up the ranks.

"Killers who camp have no skill"

My guy, you have the attitude that I hate the most in this game. So many survivors wanna say "bad killer, bad killer!" As if things aren't stacked in your favor. Do the gens, open the gate/hatch, and leave. This isn't the military, or some other "no man left behind" sorta bs. Sometimes you escape, sometimes you don't. But calling a Killer trash for playing how he wants is rude. People like you are why I run NOED. Teabag and play around all you like, but i'm getting my bloodpoints either way.

First i'm not a guy :) And second oke if you feel that way I'm sorry but this is my opinion. So when people facecamp you or your friend is skill or what xd? If you are such a good player then there is no need to camp cause you will get them anyway. And I'm fine that I don't escape everytime because that's normal ;) I don't ask the devs make killer less overpowerd cause they can be outplayed. I only ask the devs to make it reportable when somebeody is face camping.

And if you don't know what face camping is, i will explain it for you: Face camping is when a killer hooks a survivior and is standing in front of him/her until that person dies. Yes people are gonna say let that person die and escape, yes when you are playing solo I do that. But when you are with friends and you are like nah i'm not gonna save you and only think about yourself then I think your selfish and I think allot of killers forget that for surviviors its a team game so you should be able to help eachother. I hope i made it clear :)

You don't know who I am and what kind of human I am so. I only teabag when I'm with friends to say Hi or thank you when they helped me, what is wrong about that????

And also I get my bloodpoints :) Have a nice day.

  • @Rullisi said:

Toxic behavior should be just bannable. At least I don't ever want to play with the same person ever again so why would anyone else. It's not that when a killer is good, it's precisely the facecamping stuff for no reason

I thought it was bannable already cause you can report people for being toxic already. Why would the devs make such an option when they not use it? :O

  • @ausanimal said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1046229#Comment_1046229

To start off with with face camping is not cheating it might suck if it gets done to you but killers shouldn't be punished for it if the devs need to do anything it's to balance the game better, good example is the ruin nerf why didn't they adjust toolboxes at the same time even if it meant the ruin change would come out later say a month later. Least doing that it would off been a fair trade and balance for both sides but they choose to nerf ruin and not touch toolboxes.

You say "but a game should be fair" tell us how the game is fair atm with all the changes/nerf to killer and the future nerfs to come, the game is nowhere near fair for both sides or even close to a point you could say its fair. But hey anything to make the game more easy for survivors and less annoying i'm sure the devs will fix it.

And now it sounds like that killer's aren't good anymore. Or have no good perks, I think killers have allot of good perks. And i agree the Ruin nerf is in favior of the survivior, but before the change it was way too overpowered and everybody used it so then you get people who will say there opinion and the devs listend. Sorry for that.

So you think the reworked dokter who makes you can't jump over pallets/fast vault is fair then? Or when a killer does a charged shot and u are already done with vaulting you still get hit? Or way to large hit boxes? Killers like Billy and Leatherface can easely catch up to surviviors and 1 shot everybody. Killers have devour of hope wich, bbq, nurse calling, noed.

But yeah let's see with the new matchmaking changes how it goes :)

  • @Beardedragon said:

i see a lot of survivors getting entitled to be unhooked, even though it wouldnt make any sense.

Ive had a game where i "camped" a guy on a hook, because i ran whispers and the raven perk that lets me know when they make the ravens squeal.

Basically i could tell on many different occations that they were me and the hooked guy after i hooked him, so i tried to find them. in the end, they never left the area and i knew they were there, so he died on the hook.

i got flamed for not moving away, which wouldnt make sense for me to do because i knew they were there. Why would i move away from a hooked guy, if i KNOW they are nearby to unhook him? im not supposed to let them if i can avoid it.

I agree on that. But there is a huge difference between face camping and patrolling the area because you have a feeling or know that they are close. When I'm killer and i hook somebody I leave and go to gens who are close, but I at least give them a try to get somebody off the hook.

And there are killers who are face camping for nothing or maybe because they are mad that they got looped allot but I think this behavior should be punished.

  • Oh yeah sure judge again, say enough about you lol.

I can handle other people's opinions but it needs to be respectfull and since you dont know what that is cause you try to make people feel bad.

Yeah sure say tough guy, that if you can read you see I'm a girl lmao.

    Have a nice life kid.

  • @FrootLoops said:

Survivor main here and I would argue that camping is a legit playstyle. Most new killers will camp and stab on hook because they dont know any better, and most experienced killers will only camp when memeing, or when salty, or when basement bubba (which is hilarious IMO).

As it is today camping is plenty punishable by the other survivors simply by focusing on gens. Given 180 seconds to die on hook a 3 man team can easily knock out 3 to 4 gens. Maybe a perk like kindred, but showing gen auras when killer is near hook would help get that point across to a team

I get when you are new at the game that you don't know better. But when you are at red ranks or purple ranks you should have some skill.

  • @MrOwl2099 said:

Actually camping, tunneling etc.. is considered player griefing in xbox and is reportable. Don't believe me just ask xbox support they'll tell you. Dbd don't care about that stuff obviously so yea. It runs the gameplay for the survivors and if you suck at being the killer enough to camp then you shouldn't play killer, get some skill. Not hard to hook a survivor then leave them, if you're good enough you'll get three rest without camping

Yeah but people here who only play this game don't understand this. Until they play a game where they get camped and then they will change their opinion.

And you are right, I'm playing killer now more then survivior and it's easyer to play killer then survivior. If you patrol that's fine but facecamping is pathetic, like are most comments from people when you give your opinion about camping 🤣

  • @rikaa said:

They really have to fix facecamping. I am sick of it and tired of getting facecamped. Especially without any reason. We played today and 3 of us are facecamped one by one. Without any single gen is completed from the first hook of first down the oni just facecamped. I do not understand how killers enjoy it. They paid for this game and just to stare at someone's face on the hook. :DD Woow how funny... If it goes on survivors will tend to hide more and complete gens as fast as they can just not to take risk of getting facecamped or tunneled. Because some killers just do it not because of gens are popped. There was not even 1 gen completed.

Yep. Some killers are pathetic... It's a problem for allot of players i've read.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1046229#Comment_1046229

Complaining about everything that is possible is the norm here, as I see. Do you really think that the rules will change for each of you?

I don’t need to know about your playing style, it’s enough that you are trying to decide for others what kind of playing style they should have. This indicates the one-sidedness and subjectivity of your gaming experience. Most likely you are just main survivor. But even if not, others are not required to play like you. Clarification: if you do a ritual or farm BP for killer - this does not make you not main survivor.

    > And if you think that high rank killers won't camp your wrong or you are just lucky

That is their right. The balance of the game is all the same such that it is not difficult for the good survivors to win in general, even by sacrificing one. Also, you have a chance to save this survivor with well-coordinated work, which I saw and did myself many times. But the fact that in case of failure the killer can receive more than one kill is, as I said, your risk and your responsibility. If you want more, take bigger risks.

    > but a game should be fair end of discussion

    Camping it's fair.

U see it as a complain, i do not. This is my opinion and probbably allot of others as u said feel the same way. I think you are complaining and can't handle when people say their opinion. And I never said they need to change the rules for me ;) I only think that it should be reportable when a killer is camping.

If that's your opinion good for you but allot of players agree with me that camping is UNFAIR so END OF DISCUSSION. Have a nice life :)

So and I answered you, because this forum is also a discussion of ideas.

    >I dont care that people reply

Good position. "I close my eyes to what is inconvenient to see." Does criticism hurt you so much that you can't stand it? Your idea is not new, it has been repeated by the thousands here before you. Maybe better learn to play than to complain?

    >I only think its pretty bad from you that you judge people you don't even know

I judge by your words. Camping is a problem only if you are a weak survivor. Or if you want too much. Do you think all four should always run away? Do you want an easy victory? If you want to save, try it. But it's your responsibility and your risk. It should not be easy. You want everyone to survive, the killer wants to kill. Why should priority be given to you? Deserve it if you can. No one should succumb to you. Killer doesn't have to entertain you. He wants his entertainment. So your position is selfish.

    >and you can't change that so deal with it

I'm not trying to change your opinion. I criticize him. No problem, and this is my opinion too, and I can speak about it, so you deal with it too ;)

So if more players say something about it then it is a problem if it's not for you then good and mind your own buisness :)

And again u talk about something you don't know anything about. Do you know what my playstyle is? Do you know what rank I'm in? No you don't know anything about my matches so don't say gid good or maybe learn to play better. And if you think that high rank killers won't camp your wrong or you are just lucky.

I don't exepect to win every match or my friends but a game should be fair end of discussion ;)

So the killers have 12 objectives (hooking survivors) And the survivors only have 6 spread among 4 players 1.5 each (gens and gate)

The survivors team has 4 tools 32addons 12 perks and 4 offerings

The survivors can open boxes and pull out items and leave with them allowing them to stockpile ultra rares

while killers must grind for each resource and it's always consumed

So with every resource harder to obtain and consumed killer overall upgrades are more rare making them weaker.

If I must get into perks, every killer perk has a survivor counter... while the killer has 4 slots the survivors can spend 4 of the 12 they have together to counter the killer and then still have 9 perks collectively to improve themselves.

So the side with less players, powerups, perks is somehow in your opinion overpowered

    against the side with

Teamwork, more powerups, more perks, better point of view, with half the overall objectives

2 health states, 3 hooks, and adrenaline boost every time your touched to gain distance. As well as free hatch spawns on last alive

Just how many second chances do you need ?

Do you want to know where a killer is at all times ? Oh wait you have a heartbeat 4 that

Do you want to find a survivor ? Better hope they make a noise making mistake...

Wanna know if I killer might hit you ? Bam Red stain.

Speed an issue ? Cant beat that POINT ZERO SIX GAP .06mps that's it you got vaults, you got stairs, you got pallets, you got trees and piles of garbage to break line of sight preventing bloodlust all while using ur 3rd person point of plan a better path for escape while the killer struggles to keep you in sight with his limited view

    What else you want ?

What else do i want? I've writing it in the post. You can't just hit a survivior true the wall or rock or when you stunn a killer before they hit you that you still take the hit. When a huntress is chasing you and u hide behind a roch and she throws it true the rock yeah thats unfair. That's what needs to be fixed.

Everyone paid for the game and has the right to play it as he wants. Stop imposing your rules on others. At the moment, after the nerf ruin, playing for the survivor is so easy, but you keep complaining. You will achieve that most killers will quit the game, and those that remain will be so weak that playing against them will become uninteresting (God, didn't think I'd say it someday, it was always the argument of those with whom I argued in discussions).

I posted this before i knew the ruin nerf. And i don't complain. I only say what bothers me, if you don't like it scroll further. I didn't ask you to reply. And you are the one who is complaining ;) I only asked the devs to do something about campers if you can't handle that, then thats your problem, have a nice day 😉

Use Borrowed Time Perk, it's perfect solution.

Yes I know, but if you don't even get the opportunity to get somebody off the hook because they are facecamping that really sucks.

Damn killers, how dare they kill one of your friends? This is not fair and should be punished! Please do something with this!

I don't know why you would post such a post but oke. To make myself clear, i don't care when me or my friends get killed by the killer as long as it's not cheating or camping ;)

This game does have balance problems but I don't think most players would agree that the problems you've listed are a result of poor balancing.

Sprint Burst and Balanced Landing are strong perks and when utilized correctly can mean the difference between winning and losing a chase. Moreover, fast vaulting windows is an incredibly useful tool to distance yourself from the killer and prolong chases. There's a technique and skill involved in running the killer which involves knowing how:

    • To loop tiles properly.
    • Which windows are safe to vault in a chase and when.
    • When to abandon a tile.
    • When to take hits.
    • To use perks (especially exhaustion perks).

Your timing and skills in a chase will improve with time and practice.

Yes you are right. But i play this game for a pretty long time now and when you are on the otherside of a wall and the killer on the otherside and you still get hit with a melee attack then there is something wrong with your game. Just saying :D

Sorry, but camping is not cheating.

    If you think so

While I agree with you that camping is generally a sign of a killer that has very little skill the answer is not to make rules that punish a killer that camps. The punishment for camping needs to come from survivors playing smart. The main reason killers camp is because survivors don't play smart and they make camping an easy strategy.

If a killer camps do not reward him. If you are the one hanging there while he camps make sure you don't DC and when the time comes struggle. Make him waste as much time as possible camping you. Give the other survivors time to get gens done, or find a hex totem or whatever.

At the same time if a killer is camping someone else don't make it easy on the killer. Don't go running to the hook trying to pull that person off. All that does is reward the camping behavior. You are just giving the killer another easy kill.

If survivors would just play smart you would see a lot less camping because it would be a far less useful strategy. There is no need to punish killers though for taking what survivors willingly hand them match after match.

When somebody of my crew hangs we always do gens but in the end of the day we are friends and want to help each other out, would be really ######### up if we would let our friend to die when the killer is facecamping. And we know that he is wasting time but still it's NOT oke especially when you play against high rank killers like rank 1 - 6/7 they should have skill and still i see allot of camping.

I could scream at some survivors when they just sit there as a killer camps me... go do gens then come back and rescue me.

The number of times survivors trade hook for hook... I'm fine tapping away but better have someone who has borrowed time if I'm nearly dead on the hook

We do gens when somebody hangs ;) But you can't get somebody off the hook when he is facecamping because the moment you want to get him off he can grab you.

It's not cheating though. If someone's getting facecamped, that's 2 minutes of gens for the other three. If everyone is doing gens that's at least 3 gens, and that's without toolboxes or Prove Thyself. And devs can't really do anything about it. Killers lose emblem points for "proximity to hooked survivor" but that's it. Plus, if a killer knows someone is nearby, they'd be idiots to leave.

Well i prefer a cheater then a noob who is facecamping ;) End of the day i wanna save my friends, if 1 killer is camping you till your death that should be punishable imo idc if you dont agree.

I can already tell you're new to the game. There are already tools to deal with camping, use them. Or do gens and punish the killer for playing bad.

No u can't tell cause i'm playing the game a really long time ;) Don't judge people if u don't know anything :D Off course we do gens but if all gens are done and the exit gates are almost open you want to save your friends, and u just don't let them hang at least i'm not like that ;)

  • Yeah it should be an option to turn it on or off :chuffed:
