Nurse is the undisputed strongest killer.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/SC4PRCN76G66/my-image-281-29.png

I don't see many of them but when I do I either face a bad nurse or I face god himself.

And it got me thinking "are there any plans to nerf her or do we just assume she is the best?", that's basically it I jus wanted to know if there where any plans to nerf or rework her

The way I look at it nurse doesn't need a nerf. She's definitely powerful but I see it as MKX, with a balanced experiences, both sides have a good chance to win, but if it is unbalanced, then I believe you create a situation where the mechanics aren't the problem. The killer roster is growing, with that being said, I believe that there's a room for every playstyle. Not everyone wants to get dominanated, but there's some who wants to play more aggressively and who play to win, for nurse to have a "hard to learn, harder to master" fits perfectly with the others.

To say it simply, nurse isn't an effortless killer, her power may be powerful, but it isn't like there's NO WAY to get around it... it just requires more knowledge whether side your playing on.

  • So far i love the concept, I've only played the survivor and i believe it has potential. From what i can tell it may be harder to hit the survivors since they're smaller. The oni was also cool but for survivors who cant do anything on the pallets it didn't give a reason to break the pallets.

  • Wait you're complaining about free BP... I understand its not the best, so complaining about everyone bringing BP offerings during a BP event is just ridiculous

  • @Hex_Ignored said:

I have to stress again just how terrible weaving spiders is. Yes, on paper installing 7 bnps sounds insane until you look at the cost. 120 seconds sitting in the basement doing nothing and becoming permanently broken. This isn't worth it at all.

Wicked at least has some use as an info perk now. Still, the "main effect" is extremely situational but the aura reading part is usable and pushes the perk from bad to niche.

Strength in shadows is meh. It's not offensively bad (unlike weaving spiders) but it's also not really worth using. Running injured across the map to self care in basement is risky and should have a higher reward. It's probably faster to just self care in a safer place anywhere on the map.

I feel like Weaving Spiders should have a regression system and at least a second place to complete the ritual, so that the perk is just situational enought to be actually considered.

  • This killer has been AMAZING! In my opinion, the horror this killer gives you sometimes is what this game is all about. Ive never felt that before (other than my first games) the horror aspect is not to be overlooked because in the end, we came here to get jump scared, we came here is see what lurks in the dark. For his abilities i love em because they promote the horror aspect (maybe not his UVX) I have to give credit were credit is due. his add-ons are... ACTUALLY DIFFERENT?! depending on the other killers I'm surprised to to see NO ADD-ONS that were recycled (some of them were kinda, but they each have a situation to proc) no EXPOSED add-on! some of them we're actually changing the killers playstyle and of course there's add-ons that straight up benefit the killer. From what I've seen they've thought of not only the killers mechanics and add-ons, but has refocused on why this game is so good to us... Keep growing your game! Show us horror!!

  • @Yourmother said:

they can hit you when your over the pallets, it has happened to me many times, and dead hard should be normal again, the killer can lunge swing around walls which sucks, the survivors get hit even though the killer has finished swinging their weapon, so can you guys make it so that the survivors and killers have a even advantage?

Well the lunge isn't broken, he probably faked you on a pallet....

Regardless of my reasons people would still objectively try to argue why it shouldn't be nerfed, the post was merely in regards to more awareness for the devs.

I agree with the fact that tunnelling is annoying but punishing killers for this is too much, not for them. We'll have to change the game so much that it doesn't feel like a game anymore. So why not reward killers who don't use the strategy? therefore the killers who still tunnel can still tunnel, but the rewards would be good enough that tunneling will just blow over...

So I would consider myself a survivor main. I play both sides but i normally only play killer to get them to iri 1 for the blood points and then I go back to survivor. I got to say Survivors are getting really bad on what they consider "Boring". So first it was the Ruin/Undying, then Scourge Hook/Deadmans, then the infamous Gen Kick builds all boring. So i was playing killer a few days ago and I was running no slow down just Agitation, Starstruck, No where to hide, lethal. A little aura read with a very high risk high reward starstruck. 3 different teams I went against called me meta and its a boring playstyle that shouldn't be in the game. So my question is exactly what perks are a fun combination killers can use that survivors do not call "Boring" these days?

    None, It's really sad...

  • @Dolphinixus said:

Upon getting hit by the 6th knife, Trickster can injure you. There's no cooldown whatsoever for Trickster, so he can immediately and quickly throw 6 more knives to down you if the situation allows it. This makes the slight haste boost after being injured useless unless the survivor is using perks such as Overcome. Huntress is also a ranged killer and her single hatchet makes you lose one health state, but she then enters a short cooldown period in which she can't throw a hatchet or do a basic attack. For Trickster, I suggest that there should be a slight period after injuring a survivor with a knife in which the Trickster cannot throw any knives or do a basic attack. This is not the case for the Main Event, of course. I hope to see this implemented sometime soon so that it can be slightly more balanced to play against the Trickster.

Uh, have you tried using cover? I'm not trying to be mean but seriously? I think the whole point of Trickster was to be a different ranged killer from Huntress besides that, I never had an incident where the Trickster had down me that fast. "So he can immediately and qiuckly throw 6 more knives" that's UNHEARD of unless your running in the open, getting hit by every one.

Fire Up has to be kept weak because it can stack with other perks that share the same effect (like Brutal Strength when breaking objects) and this can make animations look silly or make the killer too powerful if the values get too high.

Stop its effects from stacking with other perks (and use the better of the two values instead of adding them), and then double the strength of Fire Up to 8% per completed gen.

    ----

If not, then keep it 4% for breaking and vaulting (the effects that can stack), and double the picking up and dropping to 8% (the effects that don't stack).

I like Fire Up because the perk's name really fits the effects... and the perk just feels good to use for meme builds and killers with no gen pressure.

So i took a break from this game(around a month). Before the mid chapter update, later i return, i play a few survivor matches and it's crawling with campers. I would imagine it would be cause of the slowdown nerfs. This is not fun, the mid chapter was a failure, and now what once was a good game, is only dying. Either BHVR does another big and good balance update along with a good chapter. Cause i'm telling y'all and mark my words. At this rhythm and if the next chapter is bad. This game will be dead very very soon.

I haven't seen much campers lately.

    Changes

    Sprint Burst (added)

    • Cannot be activated until having walked for 3 seconds straight
    • Stops being activatable if the user stops walking

    Lithe (rework)

    • Press the active ability button while running near a vault location to immediately perform a running vault over it
    • Causes exhaustion for 40 seconds, cannot be used while exhausted

    Overcome (rework)

    • When the killer misses an attack on you, move at 150% movement speed for 3 seconds (would obviously require a lot of work to program and shouldn't be activated against dumb stuff)
    • Causes exhaustion for 40 seconds, cannot be used while exhausted

    Dead Hard (added)

    • Immediately enter the dying state if Dead Hard doesn't successfully protect the user from damage
    • The killer is notified while chasing a survivor with Dead Hard active
    • No longer requires being unhooked or unhooking yourself to activate

    Notes

    Sprint Burst:

Currently is the definition of "free," more than dh ever was. Insanely powerful effect with basically zero prerequisit and is even strong when not 99d, and even then, it's not that hard to 99. It can be 99d easily while on a gen solo or with someone else, and is beyond powerful when used that way. Purpose of this change is to just add SOME prerequisit to using it. Having to walk before using it would basically prevent it from being able to give you mega distance for free, but would still be very useful while mindgaming a killer around a tall loop or stealthing. Basically in situations where you would walk anyways.

    Lithe:

The perk I personally find most annoying out of any of these. Although technically having a prerequisit, it's pretty meaningless realistically speaking. Literally any survivor can get a fast vault off, and then subsequently get the insane value that Lithe provides. With this rework the perk would still have no prerequisit, but have a MUCH more reasonable effect that wouldn't make or break a chase as often as it does now and is something that I'd personally find really fun and at the very least would want to see on some perk in the future.

    Overcome:

I don't even know how this perk exists tbh. Most hold W perk in the game, just why? A perk like this really just shouldn't exist, and although there's situations where it won't work, they are not at all the usual. This rework is probably unrealistic for it to be implemented, as stuff like killers using their powers to break a pallet, trickster missing as little as one knives out of a flurry of knives, plague infecting the environment, dredge breaking a lock, etc obviously shouldn't activate it. Imo, it would activate if no part of the whole attack affected the user, another survivor, or the environment, and would start when the killer enters their attack cooldown. So in the case of trickster for example, he would have to throw at least one knife and have none of them hit you, and then exit the throw state for it to activate. I'm sure this sounds really out there but imo it would makes more sense if there was a better standard for what counts as an attack and a missed attack and whatnot since it would just be cool to implement into some perks and whatnot even if it's not necessarily this. This version of the perk might still be annoying but would be very fair and very practical to play around.

    Dead Hard:

This perk has problems, and this perk has non problems. DH against certain killers and at pallets is a problem. DH in the open at close range is not. Point of these changes is to make it very worth it to bait DH out, and would give it counterplay in said form where there currently is none. The killer being notified of the perk would also help plenty, as without it it could still be very obnoxious not knowing whether or not to miss an attack on purpose to bait out DH, and is something I personally wouldn't mind as a survivor could still get lucky timing it even if the killer knows they have it. My thoughts on DH have previously been further explained here: https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/373516/tl-dr-for-previous-dh-post

Inb4 someone comments "they're fine as is" and anything I said apparently becomes meaningless 👍

But I thought that was the reason for exhaustion perks... to gain distance? They don't call it Sprint Burst because you have to wait for it, they call it Sprint Burst because it's a sudden burst of speed... meaning that yes, it is suppose to be use to gain distance for free.

Deactive her drone and she will put another.

When she catch you on gen she will just m1 you and then she will leave for checking other gens.

Ignore drones and she will get you down with one-hit.

Do not ignore drones and she will just put another.

After 30 minutes, one of us just give up and died. And at this point we just lost. But even at 3 v 1 , she still did not leave her 3 gens.

After 3 games against her in row, i really wanna remove this game for forever. I don't know is there any chance to rework her.

Well what I would do is try to buy as much time as possible, you have Lithe so I'm going to assume that when she saw you do that during this time she left? Because then I would keep repeating that...it may not be much but at least your Guaranteeing time for teammates.

    Now you say something nice:)

The strategy is so unique, I love the Trials were the survivors know that this is some game, which for me make the game SUPER immersed. The chases... Beautiful. For a game of hide and seek, the game allows a lot. Last but not least I love games that don't take a lot time (What I mean is I love games like Minecraft and Among Us... These games at their core didn't take a lot of brainpower, But somehow the games are really fun) Dead by daylight at it's core is just a game of cat and mouse, and the rest is up the players in the Trial.

If the killer is with in 16 meters of the hook or something for 5 seconds... the survivor on hook is transferred to another hook on the other side of the map.. so thiers a punishment to face camping...

This would make Pyramid Head's auto-hooking mechanic irrelevant. plus I feel killers would use this to get a "perfect hook" so they have an excuse to camp the generator.

  • @adsads123123123123 said:

To clarify, I mean Bubba's Chainsaw Sprint shouldn't end when hitting an object. It seems like an unnecessary mechanic that places a major barrier of entry to playing Bubba (when not camping). You need to learn the hitboxes of every object, including weird ones like on Garden of Joy, and how to curve every tile. New maps and tiles keep getting added, and there's far too much to learn. Without camping, I feel like Bubba is one of the killers you need to main for hundreds of hours to play well consistently. One problem with this is that he has by far the most punishing mechanic for messing up out of every killer in the game, which makes it difficult to learn him without losing a lot (if you don't camp).

For reference, one of the top Bubba players in the world with over 7000 hours (https://www.twitch.tv/sethdbd_) still regularly crashes into walls. If it still happens to someone with 7k+ hours, it's obviously a difficult mechanic. I feel like there isn't a good reason for the mechanic to exist. Blight and Billy have a similar mechanic but it exists so they can't slide off walls like Oni. Bubba's Chainsaw Sprint is much shorter and slower, so it can't be used this way. The mechanic just makes it unnecessarily difficult to play Bubba, which encourages people to take the easier route which is to camp.

I actually like that mechanic, you can't just mow over everyone, and bubba looks goofy when he's swing the chainsaw everywhere! It's hilarious to go against him, and to play him.

It’s actually not that hard. You can either do

    1. Make bbq bloodpoint bonus base kit so you get more bloodpoints.
    2. make it so each unique hook increases your move speed by 1.25% so at 4 unique hooks you move 5% faster and you lose the speed when a survivor dies
    3. each unique hook makes the gen kick regression 2.5% more so at 4 unique hooks your gen kick regression is 12.5% for until 1 survivor dies.

This is not bad, however all of these are a perks effect, which would mean that we would have to change. The extra Bloodpoints... that's fine, but the other two feels like basekit Brutal Strength and Play With Your Food. I'm not trying to downplay you but it seems the devs would go ahead and change the perks if they're too similar. (I know they did the same thing with BT, but that's just one perk I doubt that the devs would be ok with changing multiple perks.)

  • @Chilli_man2400 said:

Instead of punishing the killer, why not reward them? Punishing them is not good game design you should add incentives to not tunnel like.

Bonus bloodpoints, more movement speed or higher gen regression on kicks. This way the killer is encouraged to not tunnel and actually get a reward

I see what your saying and I'm totally down. I understand I'm not a developer, but finding some way to reward the killers enough to stop the camping and tunneling is very difficult. Same for punishing the killers for the play style, We can't change this without making a massive dissension.

  • @Boons123 said:

Let's all agree that fixing generators is boring, and that's because all you do is watch the progress go up for 90 seconds.

Skill checks get boring once mastered

So what are your ideas for making it a little more fun?

I really didn't like how boring the gens are, but I think it's perfect now... In among us (Yeah, I know right?) the tasks are braindead simple, because what the game's around is the chases. Kind of the same in DBD, the survivors just need a reason to be in a certain spot for the game to work. I think making the gens a little bit complicated would take survivors eyes off the map, and make them oblivious. I cannot argue that generators are the objective, but for how fast survivors could miss something is very Important.

  • @1ettuce said:

Tunneling and camping are both valid strategies that should not be as effective as spreading hooks or just going for chases in general

Although I am aware spreading hooks/going for chases in general is not *currently* viable enough for this to be the case, I would like it to be

Hopefully the heat produced from this take doesn't cause the world to burn

I don't go out of my way to stop, or start tunneling. I don't tunnel, but if I'm 25 meters from the hook and someone unhooks you and disappears... I'm not just going to go right past you just to look for a healthy survivor in a jungle gym. That's ridiculous, but I'm also not just going to be like "ooh, injured survivor is easier than healthy survivor" That's ridiculous.

  • @NoHookDC said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3423512#Comment_3423512

That's still 8 seconds in which they are preventing the killer from changing targets. You know; the thing Survivors already whine the Killer never does.

Plus they are STILL able to bodyblock because they know the Killer will be Hindered if he hits them after those 8 seconds.

It's just another mechanic that Survivors can weaponize. People need to stop looking for punishments.

For all the other discussions, It's pretty hard to find a way for killers to prioritize other things than survivors. Even though my Idea was a little bit flawed, I do appreciate the brainstorming... I totally forgot about the bodyblocking. :)

  • @NoHookDC said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3423490#Comment_3423490

And how does that interact with BT?

With BT: Survivor can now bodyblock, and if he's hit, he gets BT AND the Killer is Hindered for half a minute.

That's broken and ripe for abuse.

OK I see that logic now, but the BT lasts for about 8 seconds, so if you just stand there the survivors will get the message and run.

  • I didn't say that specifically, but I said when the killer chooses to go for the survivor, (the unhooked survivor) nothing happens until he hits him which then the killer would get the Hindered. I'm going to re-edit to say that.

  • @NoHookDC said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/375072/an-idea-for-camping-tunneling

I think we all can agree this is our biggest problem

No. Some Survivors salty that they died agree it's a problem.

If he chooses to go for him, nothing happens until he hits them. The killer will suffer from the Hindered status effect for about 30-35 seconds.

ROFL! I mean R O F L! Great! So now the unhooked can bodyblock with BT and, if I hit them, I slowed down for half a minute!?

And you saw NO WAY in which this would be broken, busted, abused, and downright used as a weapon?

The killer is camping a survivor on the hook, you manage to unhook the survivor, since the killer was in a certain range for a certain time, he'll suffer the hindered for about 30 seconds.

Oh good. SO a Survivor can run up, farm an unhook, and now the Killer is punished.

All because Survivors insist camping should be 'punished' with mechanics they can abuse maliciously for EZ wins.

    No. No. and No.

    Did I mention 'no'?

Well I said when he hit the survivor with BT, so no survivor could bodyblock with BT

I like Dead by Daylight very much, I like the emotional expression of this game, it presents the classic horror movie bridge for the player, and it is interactive, the player needs to hide intermittently, observe the killer, feel the heartbeat, this is exactly the video game The great thing about this interactive art.

But, until I met survivor auras. The killer can see the survivor auras, which completely breaks the logic of a horror game or killer movie. This leaves survivors feeling hopeless, as there seems to be no time when their privacy can be assured.

For example, as a survivor, you follow a killer who is kidnapping other survivors. You have to follow it and rescue your teammates. This should be an unforgettable moment in horror games, killer movies, or real logic. This is definitely an excellent strategy. I think this is also the initial vision and core experience of the game Dead by Daylight. But it was destroyed because of a killer perk. At this point the killer sees the survivor's auras. Ruins a great horror experience. This is unreasonable in reality logic, because in reality, the survivor did nothing wrong and he should not be discovered by the killer.

This ruins the emotional expression of the game. Turning a horror game into a skill confrontation game similar to moba, if that is the case, why don't I play DOTA2?

Why do I think survivors have no problem seeing the killer's auras? Because survivor auras and killer auras are not equivalent. The survivor's auras are the survivor's only bottom line, the only thing to protect. The equivalent of this is not the killer's auras, but the killer's attack. If the survivor has a lot of perks that the killer can't attack, it will also ruin the killer experience. Make the killer feel fake. Because it doesn't fit the logic of a killer movie.

Survivors should be stealthy but weak. Killers are supposed to be clumsy but powerful. If the survivor's secrecy cannot be guaranteed, this is not a horror game or a stealth game at all, and it contradicts the core experience of Dead by Daylight. If so, why don't I play biochemical infection mode of some FPS?

Note that I'm not discussing balance issues, just discussing the emotion and sense of substitution of a game. In other words, it is a logical self-consistent problem of the game. The core selling point of Dead by Daylight is obviously a game that creates that kind of killer movie, but it has a certain mechanism that destroys this core selling point. Isn’t this a kind of logical inconsistency? And it's not that I don't know that this game will provide thousands of hours of play time, and the game may not be so scary later. But I don’t think that’s the problem. Even if the late game isn’t scary, it doesn’t mean you’re about to break your core.

It's like you have played Counter-Strike for thousands of hours, you definitely don't feel that you are fighting terrorists, but it doesn't mean that Counter-Strike has to add a gun without the slightest recoil, because a gun without the slightest recoil will completely Destroys the core gameplay charm of Counter-Strike.

In the first part you said that aura-reading perks for killers makes survivors feel "hopeless" In horror, is their such thing as Privacy, I understand this is a video game but I believe the aura-reading gives you that sense you being watched, even if the killer isn't there. For me, aura-reading perk are scary, you never know what's going to trigger the perk.

Boil Over's ability to mess with the killer's control is significantly weaker for PC keyboard players than controller players. PC killers barely notice it exists when used against them.

I noticed that I have to move my camera to go against the wriggling, but sometimes I see killers eyes locked on the hooks and is simply (from what I can tell) pressing the key opposite of the wriggling...

Time to ask an interesting (and difficult) question for the community to answer.

If you were forced to choose (even if you feel as if it were unnecessary): Would you prefer it loops had weaker windows spawning OR weaker pallet spawning?

    • Weaker Window Spawns: The walls along window spawn locations are shorter which ensures less runs around a loop can be made; only applicable to certain loops; forced pallet drops faster than before; pallets still retain the same strength as before.
    • Weaker Pallet Spawns: The walls/structures around a pallet spawning location are reduced, making most pallets more unsafe than before; already unsafe pallets are not changed; windows still retain the same strength as before.

Keep in mind that the windows will remain there the entire match, you can break every pallet on the map but the windows will still remain for Survivors to use. This is important to keep in mind, so do not rush with your decision.

I've actually mentioned this a little in a discussion, I think for the endgame collapse, since it is the endgame I though if the timer started after the last generator pops. Slowly, the map starts to morph chaotically, the cataclysm will change most tiles to be unsafe, broken, and pieces of the world will fall through. I though this would seem cool, since that part of the Trial is called the "Endgame Collapse"

In addition, there were no perks in the load outs which allowed survivors to hide their aura from killer aura-reading perks. Their auras do appear once they move away from the circle.

As survivor, I've had this happen to a degree too, I've been using Kindred with Open Handed, so far it's amazing you can see the killers aura almost anywhere, but for those couple of seconds when the survivor is screaming on the hook, I cannot see him anywhere (Open Handed really helped to counter this) I understand your complaining about this happening on the killer's side, but I though I would share this.

I wish there was a button I could press to not play against certain killers. I absolutely hate playing against certain ones.

Wow. Can't wait to play against Trapper for an eternity.

    My vote is yes.

The perk only affects a specific subset of players (those on Console) and it affects them to the point where it is still impossible to hook people if they have it on certain maps.

It's pretty much the only perk that I am genuinely upset at seeing in my matches.

    Thoughts?

no offense man but you pick out a specific scenario for Boil Over and bashed it... Boil Over is not that effective overall, but you know how good it is on inside maps. That doesn't mean it's instantly ruled as broken.

    Hello dbd team and players,

On my opinion sabotage is useless perk and need to be balanced.

Reason: if you sabotage hook killer can drop wiggling body.

If he do that , you have bleeding ally on the groud so he can camp him.. my experience from the game is..that you lost another life becouse you are trying to safe your laying teammate.

    Sabotage doest make a sense.

Drop the wiggling body had to be killer's perk. Than i think it will be balanced.

Isn't that the point of running a sabo build, to buy a bunch of the killer's time? if your camping the down survivor, then doesn't that mean the survivor did his job? so the gens would get done if they're not too altruistic.

I feel like a lot of killers in this game kinda take things too personal

I got a flashlight save so the killer proceeds to tunnel me and then face camp me out of the game

but luckily the 3 other survivors got out so...I don't know what I did to make them upset like that lol

and no this wasn't the a one time thing this actually happens a few games I get

Well at least they're being emotionally accurate... ever seen a horror film were the person gets away? Yeah, the killer's pissed.

Since May's update, I have and I still am the obsession of every single match. I literally run no perks that would make me the obsession or make those chances higher. Never had this issues before. I can run any character and I will still be the obsession. My chat has even noticed this issue for myself. Please check into this.

I'm not completely sure about this but some obsession perks (and add-ons) decrease you chances of being the obsession, maybe that's still putting an obsession in play just because it messes with the chances.

Well, we have two chapters from Japan, and chapter from Brazil, and a chapter from Korea and others

But what about the Middle East chapter? Which Arabs or The majority are Arabs

Not only chapters But the Arab community wants the Arabic language in a game, and some even offered to volunteer to add the Arabic language, and this is not new because the Arab community has demanded this for years, and you can find some of them since 2017 asking or offering to volunteer to translate the game into Arabic

Isn't this strange for behavior that does not look at the Arab community?

The Arab community is a big community however, there is no response from the developers which is strange

You might say that Zerina is indeed an Arab

But I will say that Jake is from Korea and yet they made a chapter from Korea

What the Arab community wants is very clear (a complete Arabic chapter) and (the addition of the Arabic language)

Doesn't matter to me, just love a good chapter.

Alright so writing this out in a forum post is probably gonna be a touch out of my depth so I'll just link a couple of articles about fear and arousal as a springboard.

    https://humanbehaviorlab.com/why-fear-and-arousal-look-the-same/

    https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/the-embodied-mind/201301/sexual-attraction-and-survival-mode

That should get you and anyone else curious about the link started towards looking into that link more if you want. To answer you question on a personal level is something I can do in a forum post though.

For me, some things are purely repulsive and shocking. Monsters with no inherent feeling of humanity, things that push at the edges of conscious understanding. Things that I can't relate to or even truly comprehend, but instinctively have no choice but to fear. Most killers in this game aren't that, they aren't conceptual beasts that evoke only fear and can't be understood through other more human lenses. Most of these killers are just people who happen to do horrific things or experience horrific things that ultimately change them for the worst. Huntress would split me in half without much thought, but it doesn't change that she is a beautiful woman under the mask. Trapper's brute strength would destroy me and I'm kinda here for that.

Like humans don't experience single feelings, we can and do experience a multitude of feelings all at once. Even our senses are tuned to understand things in broad groups. Like when you smell rotten meat it has a repulsive odor, but it also has those strange notes of sweetness. It's such a common thing that we have the phrase "The Sweet Smell of Death" which basically describes not only that actual sweet smell, but also the strange allure humans have towards death. There is beauty in violence and their is violence in art. The feeling I get when someone both scares and entices me is quite strong, it makes no less invested in my own safety in that moment, but the lingering potential thought of spicy end makes those moments just as memorable as being so terrified that my heart tries to stop.

The horror genre is really good at capitalizing on these sets of mixed feelings to create memorable experiences. DBD isn't locked to one specific franchise or sub genre of horror it is just a horror game full stop. So it has always touched on other emotions than pure fear. Way back in the day Wraith and Nurse got Valentines Day cosmetics that made them a couple. Nurse literally gave Wraith her still beating heart, a grotesque display of affection.

I agree with this, I don't mind sexy, or even very sexy outfits, the grotesque display of affection as you said isn't just horror, and that's why I don't agree with the skull merchant, the sexy outfit is awesome, but they just shoved it in you face with no relations (or a very bad relation) to her lore.

My boy Jeff is the ONLY CHARACTER in the game sporting a big body and belly. THE ONLY ONE. He carries the THICCC community ON HIS BACK ALONE. Sure sure Jane she thicc.... she bad... BUT DOES SHE BREAK HOOKS SHE SHO THICCC? No. Breakdown a la Jeff Johansen!

    ONLY JEFF.

BHVR... you make me work SO HARD for Jeff skins. Everyone else just gets to BUY some nice skins. But if I wanna spoil my boy I gotta buy the Rift pass, then put in 70 hours of gaming to EARN the skin. AND I WILL DO IT EVERY TIME.

Finally, though, he gets a beautiful paid-for skin--and we see his full tattoo sleeves FINALLY. BUT I KNOW THIS MAN HAS GOT A BACK PIECE AND I WANNA SEE IT. I SEE THE LIL CHEST HAIR PEEKING OUT AND I DEMAND COMPENSATION FOR A FULL REVEAL.

    Do it.

Stop giving shirtless skins to these pretty boys Alex and David.

Give the people what they want.

I counter 90% of these with no problem.

But the remaining 10% feels like they're cheating. Here's how it goes:

    • Survivor tries to twirl me
    • I wait it out, realign my view on them
    • They're still swerving, but I track them
    • Swing straight at them
    • Lunge cancels itself despite me holding M1
    • Miss

The game forces the killer's lunge to end if the survivor is within striking range, which normally results in a hit if they are moving at a normal speed. But because the survivor is spinning, they're moving faster than normally possible by exploiting the camera + movement keys.

It feels a lot like how you whiff a swing when a survivor activates Sprint Burst, except spinning isn't an exhaustion perk; survivors can do a Sprint Burst speed spin anytime they're about to be hit and cheat you out of what you deserve.

    Anyone else experience this?

Wait, if you counter 90% of these problems, then why is it cheating? I'm new to killer, so I guess I don't have much room to talk but only way I mess that up is when they just disappear to the left of your screen, but that's when I'm right behind them, and that little burst of speed you get when you lunge never helps me, so I just no-lunge.

But the Community isn't Ready For...

    Survivor Perks

    Sprint Burst

    • Nerf: Reduced the movement speed bonus from 50% to 35%.

    Lithe

    • Rework: Overhauled Lithe to be a more chase-oriented Perk.
      • Buff: Added a new effect of increasing vaulting speed by 15%.
      • Buff: Added a new effect of making any Rushed Vault turn into a Fast Vault, with a cooldown of 50/40/30 seconds.
      • Buff: Removed the Exhaustion status effect caused by the Perk.
      • Nerf: Removed the 50% speed boost from vaulting windows.

    Balanced Landing

    • Buff: Removed the Exhaustion status effect caused by the Perk.
    • Nerf: Removed the 50% speed boost from falling from great heights.

    Adrenaline

    • Nerf: Removed the ability to wake up from the Dream World.
    • Nerf: Removed the 50% speed boost if you did not activate the last Generator.

    Smash Hit

    • Buff: Increased the stun duration caused by the Perk to 4 seconds.

    Killer Perks

    Crowd Control

    • Rework: Overhauled Hex: Crowd Control into Crowd Control.
      • Buff: No longer a Hex Perk.
      • Nerf: Now only activates on the first window triggered while chasing a Survivor.
      • Nerf: Now has a cooldown of 14/17/20 seconds.

    Coup de Grace

    • Buff: Can now accumulate tokens via hooking Survivors.

    Beast of Prey

    • Buff: Now activates upon initiating a chase instead of activating Bloodlust.
    • Buff: Now has a consistent maximum duration of 20 seconds.
    • Nerf: Now has a cooldown of 50/40/30 seconds.

    Save the Best for Last

    • Buff: Reduced the amount of tokens lost when hitting the Obsession to 3/2/1.
    • Nerf: Reduced the maximum amount of tokens from 8 to 6.

    Lightborn

    • Nerf: Removed the ability to completely block Flashlight blinds. Instead, it now reduces the speed that you are blinded by 50%.
    • Nerf: Now only grants the aura reading upon evading a blind attempt.

Not gonna lie these don't feel well though out, most of these aren't a nerf, they're full-on rework, and not a good one at best, I'm a survivor main, and even the killer perks seemed absurd. Some of these perk I almost never see, but when I do, the perks feel just fine.

Can we please get achievements while playing against bots in custom matches, the reason is I am a new player and found this game very lately not a fan of multiplayer games but I find this game very interesting and multiple times replayable, so hoping in future if we are allowed to get achievements in custom matches. everyone in public matches are much experienced & harder impossible to get any trophy ☹️☹️☹️old players are annoying and irritating about to delete the game in frustration. please help

As an achievement hunter, this would ruin the games achievements, you could get all of the them in minutes, so their would be no point. I like getting achievements, and I'll definitely go for one no matter what, but I also love the challenge. They wouldn't call it an achievement if it was that easy. I'm not saying games should not have easy achievements, but they shouldn't be so easy to get that a baby could 100% the achievements

Man killer mains ######### up. Complaining so hard about DH. Now literally every surv is running lithe, SB or balanced landing and it is annoying af.

You know what I liked about DH? You could counter it, SO easily. You can't counter any of these other exhaustion perks and it is driving me up the wall.

Whereas with DH once I figured out who had it, it was the easiest perk in the world to counter. And now I've got uncounterable speed boosts in practically every chase. Love it.

Well It's not that bad, at least you could decipher when and where the other exhaustion perk was going to activate.

You rlly cant play killer casualy anymore. Every round the same genrush in to oblivion. Of course every round min two BNPs and for god's sake you forget the map offering. Its ######### misreble to play a casual killer game with a weaker killer and if you play myers with no addons and 2 slowdowns got send to the game of course the problem is that you start camping at on gen remaining after 100 predroped pallets. Playing Killer is ######### bullshit right now.

PS. I know solo que is also bullshit.

I've started to play killer so I can get some of those achievements, Myers feels ok, I don't have many perks...
