The in game antics I personally do not find toxic. They want to do it, go for it. Its the messages that is truly the toxic actions here and this is what needs to stop. I hope you reported the idiot who made the comments. They need to be banned.

Tbh the messages are legit the worst. Why tell someone to ######### over a game? Why be that way, why day anything at all?

You are saying it yourself. The game is balanced around survivors not being good at the game, so against 4 optimal survivors no killer has a chance. The game needs to be balanced around good survivors facing good killers and the ranking needs to be reworked to match these people with each other.

Also what do you mean by "good guys need an advantage"? This isn't a movie, this is a game.

The killer was a rank 16, I was a rank 12, my friend is a rank 7, the other two random survivors were a 6. The one rank 6 was the one tea bagging and sent the messages, the other rank 6 was fine.

I play on xbox but I've noticed more people on PC, including survivors, not liking the idea of farming. Guess it's different between console and PC

I love farming, especially during double BP. I don't understand why anyone wouldn't. We also will message killer like hey, we need challenges, you have rituals? And kind of go from there. Game doesn't have to be so toxic. We can all get along.

I've been playing during the event and have never faced this type of behavior (more than usual that is). As a matter of fact I've seen killers and survivors simply being friendly and farming together. I've mostly been playing killer and farming with my fellow red ranks, since BPs are the only thing we both love very much. We may not like each other, but boy do we love BPs.

I've had a few that farm. I love when killers get in on the shenanigans as well with us abr we dance and spin together. LOL I'm thinking maybe more toxicity on PS4? I dont know how it varies by platform.

  • Yeah, just had a killer DC after we did 3 gens. He failed to get one if us in a chase, the went to top of house and was staring at everyone doing stuff, got into another chase, stopped mid chase and left. Watched him leave. I'm not trying to be salty or have a killer be nerfed, I love the game, but lost my key even with white ward because of it. I just dont understand the point in DCing.

I entirely agree. A lot of players I see complaining about camping have quite a skewed and biased idea about what constitutes as camping.

The problem seems to arise from the definition of the word rather than killers playing in a problematic way.

I guess everyone has their own definition of camping then. Every hook, with one I'd the killers as an example, was standing in everyone's face and smacking them. And this was every hook. Maybe new to killer?

I think the discrepancies we find with some people having this happen all the time and people like us saying it's rare comes from our definitions of "camping".

The frustration we are referring to is like a straight on face camp, where he's right in front of your face on the hook and ignoring everyone no matter what. This situations are extremely rare and when they do happen it's generally because the survivor was toxic.

I think that a lot of the "camping" scenarios people refer to are situations where the killer doesn't go extremely far from the hook and keeps checking back on it. I have zero problems with this scenario as they are definitely savable even without running certain perks. A lot of these situations go bad because of player error and not making a good save.

In other words many peoples definitions of "camping" are far too broad and many of those camping scenarios really aren't camping. There is simply a lack of skill and self agency in the person and it's easier to make excuses or blame others than admit they messed up or could have done something better that would have made the save possible.

My experience with this topic anyway.

Game just started, I dont think I was being toxic?

Well i did try that then they just played it like a normal game wouldnt even let me hook them to get bbq stacks. So i just played it normally to and hooked each of them twice and let them gtfo. Was debating on killing the one because he kept looping me when i was just trying to farm.

I have ppl I've played with do that. I'm always like, but hea farming, and their response is so and not trust on killers part. Sometimes you get good survivors sometimes not.

  • @supersonic853 said:

I have a bunch of them since ive leveled up most of the killers and my survivor but the 2 times ive run them the survivors and killers mostly turn into toxic pieces of... well you get the picture. I want everyone to get more bp sure but i dont want tryharding killers and survivors.

Try messaging survivors and ask to farm? Alot do. Had quite a few farm matches yesterday.

Oh yeahhhh that would be really interesting to see. But how would her legs work? Would she just swim through the air, lifted only a little off the ground (like nurse)?

That would be sweet!! Like a slight fog surrounding where her legs should be? Making a water swooshing sound.

  • @Blueberry said:

    Sounds plausible to me!

I want a screech ability that temporarily blinds survivors so you can mess up their looping mid chase.

Not blind, but, distort? Like blindness but makes screen wobbly.

Another great reminder that punishing DCs with BP penalties won't work.

That's true tbh. People will continue to DC. Maybe something else. On siege, if you team kill you get game ban for set times. After so many after that it could be a week or more. Maybe implement something like that.

  • I try not to on DBD. She's fine, just not DBD.

  • @ThisGuuy83 said:

Well, when 1 gen pops 40 secs in and you go on a chase, and then the other 3 pop almost back to back by the time you catch that person and hook them, that's when I sometimes DC. I'm not wasting my time on mega swf's that just wanna ruin my fun. Oh, and I was running RUIN too. What help that perk is now... But gen speeds isn't a problem though, right? So, do you survs really expect killers to hang around for that? I mean, you quit the second we brandish a mori...

I pretty much go with the flow. I'll point at a killer, sometimes let him just whack me. I'll even farm if the killer has a ritual, as a survivor main I dont understand why survivors have to be toxic or try so dang hard. If the killer could hear our convos whilst playing, you'd hear, dont boop the floof, whyre you running around in circles, quit stalking the killer they'll get you, whyre you slamming lockers, stuff like that, we don't take the game so seriously that it's not fun, and sometimes the killer notices us and our antics and they join in, we even sacrifice ourselves afterwards so they get blood points as well. It's not all about escaping, dp'ing sucks, but at the end of the day it's just a game.

  • @bilaueta said:

You are an idiot. Plain and simple

You lost the extra points and if someone had a bloody party streamers you lost the triple points.

I say this because I played a game as wraith where three survivors dc'd on their first down, making me waste my bloody party streamers and them loose all the bonus points if they would have STAYED AT THE GAME FOR MORE THAN ONE HOOK

I played several games yesterday with a friend and literally everytime she felt the killer was tunneling her or body blocking, or legit just singling her out, she would say she was done with the game and be I'm gonna DC I'm gonna DC, and then DC. We explained that she was losing out on BP. She said she didn't care. I didn't mind the first time, I let it go like yeah whatever, it's on you. It got annoying when she did it the next few games. To each their own, you can lead a horse to water, can't make them drink. 🤷‍♀️

  • @Tr0g said:

That's what you get for being a whiny survivor. Nerf killers into oblivion, no more games. Oops, people didn't think that one through.

What does anything you just said make any sense towards what I said? Am I not the only one to complain of wait times or is that not a thing?

Only time it is really justified to DC for killer is when they get stuck in a pallet or stuck on a tree. I’ve only gotten stuck in a pallet once and I had to DC.

As a survivor it is justifiable to DC when the killer traps you and you cannot move. It’s holding the game hostage. That happened a few days ago when a Wraith cloaked and trapped two of my teammates. They didn’t DC though. They died to EGC. Or when the ping is so terrible you can’t play without getting hit due to rubber banding issues. Can’t tell you how many times I’ve gotten 500+ ping killers and I was teleporting across the map. Sometimes I don’t pay attention to the pre-game lobby ping.

When you DC due to the game not going in your favor it’s not justifiable. If worse comes to worse and you don’t wanna play the round, just AFK in a corner and go make some food.

    I 100% agree.

  • @DWolfAlpha said:

The only time that a killer disconnected and I wasn't upset was when the lag was so bad that survivors started floating up above the trees.

Oh yeah, had to DC before because of lag, messaged the killer and got a, "Shut up you're a rank 10." Lag is a justifiable excuse to DC tbh.

  • @Primalux135 said:

maybe killers dc becuz is not fun that 3 gens pop in 2 mins maybe is that. But if u catch someone at the begining or end of the game survivor dc or even if he is gonna get moried.Im waiting for devs to add the dc punishment and very ahrd one

As stated before, killer mains expect survivor mains to get better at game and not to rage quit. If the survivors are popping 3 gens in the first 2 minutes, then killer mains need to get better and make sure survivors are not popping that many gens that quickly.

  • There is no reason to DC on either side, agreed. Just play the game through.

  • I agree, I play DBD on PS4, maybe killers DC'ing on other platforms is not as bad or a thing. Just been noticing an influx in it.
