I think you are not the only one who thinks like this. Active player stats on steam are shrinking every month. Some people just take a break for a few months. Others uninstall permanently because of how toxic this community can be.

We have streamers that get DDOSed and people who would threaten their families.

Behavior needs to step up their game and do something quickly. Their stance of "this game thrives on frustration" needs to change. Its not a healthy stance.

DBD is one of those modern games who are designed to be addictive but not in a way that's truly engaging and rewarding in the long term, and more people are starting to realize this as time goes on. BHVR can't rely forever on just bringing new players to milk and getting carried by licenses.

I'm an old school type gamer who's very into fighting games, and since games like KOF 98 UM and Blazblue Centralifction got their netcode updated and new features, i'm starting to care less and less about DBD anymore since there are better games that reward my time and skill more. Other people are probably feeling the same thing with different games.

  • The devs don't apply the same logic for survivors because so many of them still suck so hard at the game that even with the copy paste meta build, they still die a lot since they exclusively rely on getting carried by perks.

Nowadays you'll notice that even the kind of survivor who just camps pallets and still gets mindgamed anyway runs at least DH and DS.

I'll just copy and paste a comment I made in another post about this because I'm lazy:

Probably because the addon isn't exactly easy to use. I know people here on the forums like to pretend that using Alchemist Ring is the equivalent of an automatic win, but the addon is only oppressive if you're good at Blight and can hit consistent rushes. If you M1 and then Rush, there's no Alchemist value; if you Rush and then M1, there's no Alchemist value; if you miss the second Rush, there's no Alchemist value.

It isn't the same as things like Nurse double recharge, Huntress extra hatchets or even Marvin's Blood that any player can get value out of. It's not an addon that any Blight player can slap on and win games, you need to actually be good at him. I still remember when Otz tried to prove how oppressive the addon was and only got to use it once because he spent most of the match M1ing, it was quite fun to watch him malding about how the addon still wasn't nerfed while missing more than half of his Rush hits.

Ofc the addon should be toned down a bit (maybe recharge 2 tokens instead of all 5), but I disagree with how people think it's a huge problem. Considering most people who play Blight aren't even that good at him, probably the devs are looking at raw data and decided the addon isn't overperforming 🤷

    Well put.

It's also another typical case of bad survivors getting caught too quickly where they probably shouldn't have and not really understanding the counterplay of the killer, which leads to an easy snowball and people coming here claiming "it's just an automatic win".

Huntress has never been blatantly overpowered. She's always been strong, yes, and she had a broken add on combination, but outside of that combo she was popular regardless.

Huntress appeals to a different cohort of players. She's difficult to learn as she plays entirely differently to any other killer. She rewards high-skill plays and even if you aren't great at her and miss a lot of hatchets, the one that you do land will always feel satisfying. She's also good youtube/twitch bait because if you throw a potshot or two after BBQ, eventually you'll land one and people love to watch that happen.

It's originally based around Magic: The Gathering, but I'd recommend looking at the psychological profiles of players referred to as Timmy, Johnny and Spike, as they hold true in most games.

Spirit players in general were in the Spike category, who basically just plays what is strongest, which is why they had no loyalty to the character when the changes took her down a peg. Huntress is more of a Timmy, who likes to play strong things, but wants to play something showier, and cares more about the quality of the win than the quantity. You're probably right in that the people who played with iri heads will have stopped playing Huntress the same way Spirit players stopped, but that was never the majority of Huntress players.

The thing is that you're only looking at it from the perspective of picking the strongest thing and winning without taking pure, simple fun into account.

When Wraith got buffed, he suddenly rised up from irrelevancy and become popular, and while it's true that many people picked him because he was easy to use and pretty versatile like Freddy was, it's also because...zooming around, sneaking up on people and coming out with a long ass lunge was just fun. Wraith was simply more enjoyable to play than a lot of other killers, and when survivors started to complain about him because he became a noob stomper, the devs quickly came in and toned down the fun by nerfing his lunge.

The actual reason why killers often disappear from the game after getting nerfed, is because BHVR has the terrible mentality of only caring about making them easier to go against for survivors, which is the audience that just wants to see nerfs and doesn't care about playing them.

In the case of Spirit, they just made her less fun by making Stridor a useless perk and turning her invisibilty into a gimmick. I'm not saying she sucks now because for some reason they still let you use stuff like Ring + Cherry Blossom, but the point remains.

It's why i don't really blame 95+% of survivors for running Dead Hard to the point where it feels base kit; while it's so popular because it's a busted perk, it's also undeniable that unlocking a dodge ability is just fun.

Huntress is still popular because it's the rare case where they only looked at gutting two things and leaved everything else the exact same. If she would have got the Billy treatment, she would have disappeared as well.

The people playing Huntress before weren't the people who migrated from easiest killer to easiest killer but the people that enjoyed Huntress and continue to enjoy Huntress.

See, it's just talk out of the ass without any real counter argument. As always these types of threads end up being a massive circle jerk.

And let's say someone is truly only interested in playing the easiest/strongest killer, it's funny how it gets painted like it's such a vile thing as if oh my god, survivor is so much harder in comparison!

I'll try to keep this shorter than my last post, but to touch upon a few of the points you've brought up:

1: On the subject of The Nurse, using pick rates as a determining factor is very shaky territory. First, you've gotta consider the fact that part of the reason she's picked less often is due in part to the bugs with her power. Even if someone likes The Nurse and is doing moderately well with her, it's totally within the realm of possibility that the bugs were too frustrating for them to continue playing. Secondly, pick rate is not a universal thing. While it stands it reason that she may not be picked at lower skill levels (owing to her higher learning curve), she becomes far more popular at higher skill levels. I won't speak for everyone, but I'm assuming at least some people would like to see more Killers pop up regularly in the higher skill levels.

But beyond this, The Nurse's bug fixes is also a prime example of something that has come up a lot over the years. Often times we're asked to focus on things like game health rather than content / balance, and The Nurse and her various bugs was often tied directly to that as a poster child of sorts. Fixing these issues did require a complete redo of her coding, but it's a prime example of us doing exactly that: Putting content / balance to the side to focus on fixing things. I totally understand if you're not pumped for this next Mid-Chapter, but it's a pretty shocking reaction to something that was asked of us very often (focusing on fixes/game health over content).

2: To think point of Circle of Healing, I just want to say that this is absolutely not something we're ignoring. We make a point out of letting things settle before making rash decisions these days. Between PTBs & live these days, the changes we make are almost always fairly minor. We've been burned in the past by making rash decisions when the initial feedback was rough. Nowadays, we try to let everything have some time to settle before we start thinking about how it should change. This gives us a better idea of where it actually sits rather than making a knee jerk reaction and hoping it works out. Circle of Healing is an even trickier scenario since it came bundled with an entirely new mechanic (boons), so it's very important that we see how things work before diving head first into changes.

That said, though, I can't reveal if/what will happen to Circle of Healing right here, just please keep in mind that there's always a cycle that looks like this:

    • Something releases
    • Wait for it to settle
    • Determine if changes are needed
    • Create changes

3: On the subject of Freddy, I feel like this something that often gets misconstrued as well. In reality, kill rates only play a small role. You compared him to The Nurse, and I'm really glad you did because she's the perfect example of why that's not the case. The Nurse overall has a fairly low kill rate (well below the rest of Killers), but that doesn't mean she's weak. She's tough to play, and in the right hands, she can be hands down the best. But that also isn't necessarily a problem because there's a ton of skill that goes into playing her extraordinarily well, and there's also a lot of skill that goes into playing against her well.

In the case of Freddy, on the other hand, you had a Killer that was very strong without needing much thought or skill. Dropping a couple traps at a loop would yield very strong results with very little risk or strategy. His slight tweaks aimed to make the strategy of spamming traps constantly while in a chase less viable.

On the point of lack of skill, I won't delve too far into this, but that is a very loaded point to make. Many developers play the game daily (typically not with BHVR tags in their name, they don't want to be recognized). I myself used to stream this game three times per week, and I was playing at the higher ranks just fine. Sure, not every game developer's going to be ready to jump on an eSports team, but expecting everyone working on a game to be able to play it at a competitive level is a frankly unrealistic standard, even if some of them are pretty good.

"In the case of Freddy, on the other hand, you had a Killer that was very strong without needing much thought or skill. Dropping a couple traps at a loop would yield very strong results with very little risk or strategy. His slight tweaks aimed to make the strategy of spamming traps constantly while in a chase less viable."

Why don't you guys just admit that you start nerfing killers when they become popular noob stompers?

You say that Freddy was very strong and required little skill, but have you stopped thinking that a lot of survivors who went against him ALSO didn't really know what they were doing? It's the same reason why you gutted Hillbilly and still get a lot of hate for that; many survivors were just free Pop and BBQ stacks who always went down in 15 seconds so it made it seem like he was unstoppable, and thanks to your "slight tweaks" no one plays them these days. Hillbilly for instace, has been completely replaced by Bubba and Blight in the meta.

  • @anarchy753 said:

Because as soon as people think she's not the most OP killer in the game, they jump ship to the one they think is. There's a lot of players in every game who don't play something because the playstyle is fun, or because the design speaks to them, or just because they like something underappreciated, they will only pick the thing that is undoubtedly the strongest for the lowest level of investment.

Huntress is still incredibly popular like top 3, and she's not easy, but according to your logic, she would have dropped massively in popularity once they nerfed Iri Head and the exhaustion add-ons, but that didn't happen.

Maybe most people are not playing Spirit because they simply don't find her as fun? No, that couldn't possibly be.

  • @konchok said:

What an overreaction. And let's be clear about something. As long as killers have unfair add-ons they can't receive buffs because it skews the stats. Pinky finger nerf is needed because it skews Clowns stats to the point where he looks balanced. Michael has the same problem. Fixing Pinky finger paves the way to future buffs.

Yes, and this future Clown buffs will probably come by 2026, just like the 5 years it took for BHVR to change Trapper's base trap capacity from a 1 to 2.

    Delusional thinking.

  • So he finally stopped being delusional thinking the devs actually give a ######### about his hours long videos.

Honestly, I can’t complain about his thoughts on most killers. Twins is crazy good, and the ridiculous downplaying most do with them is hilarious. I agree they’re top 5, maybe not 3 but Victor is one of the strongest powers in the game. I’m also glad to see Billy and Slinger up there, as both are still very good killers. People like to over exaggerate their demise. Billy and Slinger both just went from S to A tier killers after each of their respective nerfs.

Was a good watch, like to see other people’s opinions who know the game.

    Deathslinger S tier

  • How can a legacy player have so many bad takes

  • @Veinslay said:

No, not everyone agrees at all. I've heard from plenty of survivor mains that the really good Deathslinger mains were gonna be totally fine, the nerf wouldn't even impact him and that only the people that use him to win easy in chase cause they have no skill would be the ones impacted and they would have to move to Trickster. I'm still looking for those Deathslinger mains to see how they're doing now tho

This is always the same argument that gets perpetuated with every killer nerf.

"The good X mains are gonna be fine" only for these "good" players to never be seen when i'm playing survivor.

How is he easily counterable by Survivors now? That aspect of him never changed.

The thing that never changed is that he's always been overrated.

  • @GannTM said:

Billy’s always had a punishment for screwing up, which is the cooldown for missing his saw. Overheat just limits the mindgame potential. A killer shouldn’t be “punished” for using their power.

He's also slowed down to 92% while charging.

BuT yOu jUsT cAn'T sPaM tHe ChAiNsAW bRuH

  • No.

This is just another stupid oversimplified argument that obviously doesn't take into account how easily counterable he is by survivors with brain cells.

  • Hag is the prime example that contrary to the popular belief of "you just play X killer because it's easy", players don't just want something that's strong, but it also needs to be fun to use.

Hag is good, although a bit too overrated, but despite her being better than many other killers, she's so unpopular because no one finds her playstyle fun.

  • @Crowman said:

Sprint Burst will be used more if DH gets nerfed and it will be annoying for killers, because it means that anytime you try to engage a survivor in a deadzone, they just run to safety.

Killers are already on a time crunch. Having to every chase take an extra 20-30 seconds to get the first hit is going to hurt a lot of killers. In fact Wraith will likely be unplayable without Mindbreaker (or whatever it is called now).

Wraith doesn't really care about Sprint Burst. The problem with him is in the loops, not catching up, so Dead Hard is far more annoying.

Any killer with a catch up power is better going against Sprint Burst than Dead Hard.

  • @Marigoria said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2714118#Comment_2714118

It will literally never end. If dead hard gets nerfed and people start using sprint burst they'll cry about that next. Which imo is WAYYY more annoying to face.

Survivors literally do the exact same thing and to a much bigger extent.

I don't think people will complain as much about Sprint Burst if it ever becomes as popular because the best killers have better tools against holding W.

Nurse and Blight against multiple Sprint Bursts isn't as detrimental as multiple Dead Hards.

  • Only the DBD devs are capable of gutting something just because it's considered "unfun". That alone is massive red flag for the quality of the current team and the future of this game.

I didn't really like going Deathslinger either, but making killers clunky is such a trash design decision that it shouldn't be forgiven.

  • @Smuk said:

I love the comment section. So many captain hindsights analysing what he has done wrong and how he could outplay.

The outcome of it is, game is totally balanced, now we only need to nerf NOED, becouse its stupid that i get punished for genrush

Didn't you know that only survivor is allowed to be a snoozefest because "99% of people just wanna chill with friends"?

Don't you dare complain when obviously killer is the easiest it's ever been.

Baby killers only want ez 4ks all the time smh.

  • The devs traded their chainsaws a while ago and now Billy is the boy with the bootlegged one.

Even with curving into account, Bubba is still way easier and more consistent in chases.

If you want someone who goes fast, just play Blight instead. Billy is not worth the time and effort until they decide to do something about his piss poor state.

  • EU is pretty much Nurse, Blight, Bubba, Huntress a good 80% of the time.

I think we did a pretty good job so far

  • Billy nerf primary reason. I just don't find anything else as fun to play as old Billy for me to bother with all the annoyance of killer. Blight could have been an alternative, but i'm not a fan of all the sliding and weird techs.

If i decide to boot up the game every now and then, i stick to survivor.

  • I really doubt BHVR is gonna nerf your Rin-chan again. They generally don't nerf killers twice, they go hard once and tell them to gtfo.

More than anything you should be grateful they didn't completely nerf her into the ground like the others.

  • There's no justification. I heard more than one dev trying to justify the nerf, and their arguments always show that they have a total lack of understanding of how Billy works. They always think they're smarter than anyone else.

As for the community; with every killer nerf there's always this minority of people preaching the same "you only stopped playing X killer because it takes skill now" nonsense. You shouldn't really take them seriously.

  • Don't worry Sluzzy, Bubba is probably already on the dev's "overperforming" radar.

  • @Shaped said:

I don't like how every Billy player I see follows the surv rulebook.

Is this some reddit trend or something?

It is not fun if they don't capitalise when they can and throw the game basically. I love Billy but I don't want them to play "fair".

Because no one of them is really playing Billy to win.

Why would you pick a buggy high effort/low reward killer with trash add-ons for trying hard when there are much better options.

  • A "bug fix" that apparently they forgot to mention in the patch notes.

    Very believable.

  • Modern DBD feels stale and lifeless to me. Another reason why i barely play anymore is because i miss the old animations and the atmosphere of the maps. They could have simply updated the models of the old maps a bit but they decided to change their look completely.

BHVR has this annoying habit of changings things that don't really need changing.

Haven't been on the forums during and slightly after the ptb. Quite a few said it was going to beat dead hard and sprint burst.

To make it clear i don't think Overcome is bad per se. It's better then i though, I was pretty convinced it was the worst exhaustion perk. It isn't

But it's nowhere near as good as a lot of the community thought. Just calling out that you need to think of not only the best case scenario but also the bad case scenario. And not just trust a video of somebody showing how strong this perk is vs a powerless m1 killer on the best holdw map midwich. The community is just very bad at judging perks. Myself included to be honest

I think that another reason you won't see it much is the same as to why SB is much less popular that DH despite it being extremely good too.

Most people find DH to be more fun and choose to pick it over anything else because they can dodge things, use it for distance, do fancy saves etc. instead of something that let's you hold W better, even if it might result in being less useful in many situations.

  • And who said it was gonna be better than Dead Hard exactly?

It's debatable what the best exhaustion perk is, but Overcome is an objectively good perk. There's no argument to be made for calling it bad.

  • Well, what did you expect? He was never popular before and people demanded nerfs for Topknot, which for how strong it might have been, the main counterplay to Oni is to delay him from getting his power in the first place.

He's another killer that has to deal with CoH on top of getting nerfed in the same patch.

  • More than anything it's crazy how the devs want to keep No Mither as a trash "hard mode" perk that no one uses precisely because of that...

The only reason why the killer won't tunnel you is because they're accepting your memeing, but by any means they're not obligated to do that and just troll you instead.

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2676891#Comment_2676891

For Nurse, it is true. Otz even had a video on his channel just a few days ago stating that 3 Blinks Nurse is easy mode. And back in the day 3 Blinks were way more common.

I also see a good share of Nurse players nowadays, not as many as before the Nerf, but more than the first few months after her Nerf.

When it comes to Spirit, she plays roughly the same. She is even easier than before, if you use MDR and the Cherry Blossom, the game plays for you at this point.

And regarding Billy, I still think that not the Overheat killed his playerbase. It was already dropping when they changed his animations before they added Overheat and nerfed the Add Ons. And up to this day Billy does not feel the same as before, his animations and FoV are different. The latter can be somewhat fixed with Shadowborn, but I totally get why someone does not want to run Shadowborn on Billy just to feel a little bit more like "old Billy".

Also his collision is so annoying. I played tons of Billy before the Nerf and since they changed the animations, I played a lot less, simply because he felt so much different.

(But also his Add Ons before were really making him easier. Billy should never had Chargetime Add Ons and his Cooldown-Add Ons made it almost not punishing to miss chainsaw hits... Let alone allowing him to change from mobility to chase way faster than nowadays)

I think that Nurse was the excepetion because she still has the strongest base kit. Pretty much every Nurse either runs double recharge to cancel the cooldown mechanic or range + one recharge, which it's still pretty good. An extra blink add-on is nutty, but i'd argue it's more fun to have strong things in the game than meme stuff that nobody is gonna use. The old version of Torn Bookmark could literally make her worse than not having it, which didn't make sense.

Spirit nerf is another weird balance decision because Ring and Cherry Blossom pretty much turns her into a different killer, so if you still see a Spirit now, it's just a guy with these two add-ons.

As for Billy, maybe the janked collisions are also a victim of spaghetti code just like the buggy animations, but yeah, even base kit he felt better to play. It's a mistery why BHVR doesn't bother fixing this stuff even though they said that they know about it.

The good Freddy players were removed along with the second nerf to his power. Hence why I said he fell off.

The good Spirit players? @TheGannMan you've been called.

The good Billy players? Overheat. The only thing that needed a change were InstaSaw and they gutted the whole killer. Idiotic idea and I wish they'd get rid of it again.

Also I like you bringing up Billy despite me never mentioning him in my original comment. Really relevant there

Sorry, but i don't really care about a streamer or one guy on the forum, i'm talking about the thousands of people that still play this game.

I brought up Billy because it's another case where people say "you just relied on add-ons", which is exactly what killed him in the first place; not having any good add-ons anymore.

Overheat is dumb but it's mostly a minor annyoance these days. Even if it would removed, no one would play him anyway just for that alone.

  • @GoodBoyKaru said:

This happens every time something terrible players used to think they're good gets nerfed.

Multi-blink Nurse? Nurse got a massive swing of the Hammer and down she went, taking both good and terrible Nurses down with her (good players couldn't deal with the bugs, bad players couldn't be asked now they no longer had 4 blinks without downsides, or old OmegaBlink:tm: to basically guarantee wins).

Forever Freddy? Down went his add-ons and you saw a lot less people stacking every possible slowdown. Some even used chase perks. Then he got hit again- perhaps a bit too hard- so off he fell.

Old Old Spirit? Remember when everyone said them adding in a vault animation and removing collision would kill her? Then Stridor went and she was still incredibly powerful? Then the most recent change happened and she's s t i l l incredible, just god forbid you have to use brainpower now.

Whenever there's something obviously overbearingly good then bad players will flock to it like moths to a lamp to make themselves feel better. Then, when it's taken away and they're faced with the reality, they figure out they only enjoyed stomping people and migrate to the next thing that takes the least effort for the greatest reward. It was Spirit, it was Freddy, and it was Nurse. Who it is now I genuinely don't know, I haven't played enough to see it yet.

Oh yeah, the same old song that never corresponds to reality of "you just stopped playing the killer because it's not easy anymore"

If nerfing killers only gets rid of the bad players, then were are all the "good" players? Because whenever a killer gets nerfed you just stop seeing it.

Where all are the good Freddys, Billys, Spirits who supposedly didn't get carried by add-ons and other stuff?

You can still outplay killers who have strong 1v1 powers, it's just harder. And did you know killers with strong 1v1 powers also take skill to use effectively. But you don't about the better playing winning, you just want to feel like you are good by being able to take the killer for a trip around the entire map.

Not to mention you are conveniently ignoring the fact you have 3 teammates you need to work together with to beat 1 player. So the killer should ultimately have the advantage in chase.

If you want a 1v1 pvp game, you can look at fighting games. DBD is not a fighting game where you need to be able to handle your opponent in a 1v1.

They don't want to play fighting games because they know those games are actually hard.

Can you imagine survivor mains playing any fighting game? It would be an absolute gold mine of scrubquotes lmao

You would hear some crazy bumb takes like "mixups are unfun to deal with and have no counterplay"

Man just think about all the Nurse bugs that's existed ever since her rework and they still haven't fixed them.

I know, but at least Nurse is still useful when she works.

Billy is just a buggy ass dumpster fire.

  • @Mandy said:

I believe the acceleration after the chainsaw sprint with the engravings was a bug that was fixed recently.

I guess it's more important for BHVR to change stuff like this that no one asked about than fixing Billy's buggy animations which have been there for ALMOST 2 YEARS and people have reported that many times already.

Man, i wonder why no one wants to plays Billy these days considering he's also free with the base game...

  • @anarchy753 said:

They got salty and ditched him when his add ons got nerfed. Previously they were in a state where it was basically "equip any two add ons to win," and post nerf their descriptions may as well read "puts an icon of an add on in the bottom left of your screen" aside from one or two. Then they pretended it's because you can no longer walk around with the chainsaw revved for over a minute without consequence.

He's still a strong killer, and has a fun playstyle, but he's definitely been powercreeped by some of the later entries like Blight, and Bubba who got pretty universally buffed at the same time as the Billy nerf.

If you lost to a Billy who keeped revving the chainsaw all the time, that tells you much more about your skill level than old Billy being overpowered.

  • Other than the things other people already mentioned, the devs also straight up refuse to fix his janky ass animations that have been there for almost 2 years now which make Billy even clunkier to play.

  • 80% of my games were Nurse, Blight, Bubba and Huntress before i stopped playing when it started to get insanely boring. EU servers.

Before the Boon, they still step on traps here and there. Yes some matches there are some survivors that dedicate to disarm my trap, but not always happen. Recently, every single match, every single survivors able to find my traps and disarmed, I had less than 5 survivors step on my traps in an entire week of playing Trapper only.

I dont know what's happening, I dont know if everyone play on Low graphic with increased brightness, since my play style never change.

I dont think they put zero thought, they just nerf the trapping spots on purpose. Here is the list of spots that used to hide trap under

    Spoiler Spoiler Warning ▲ ▼

Hawkin rubbles at collapsed walls used to hide traps, now cant. (removed)

The game used to be dark down floor, now its bright.

Lery used to be creepy dark to hide traps, now its bright.

Yamaoka estate, pillows used hide traps, now cant.

Autoheaven used to have grass, the broken glass used to hide traps, now cant.

Chapel rubbles on upper floor vault used to hide traps, now cant.

Pale rose, the plank to walk up to ship used to hide traps, now cant.

Haddon field, the garage with basement house, the stair used to hide traps, now cant.

Sactum of wrath, the little rock on stairs on temple used to hide traps, now cant.

Ormond rubbles at collapsed wall used to hide traps, now cant. The snow at shack doors used to hide traps, now cant.

Midwich, the gate with a vault, that vault used to hide traps, now cant.

First step at basement stair used to hide traps, now cant.

But those map nerf affect merely half of my play since survivors still step on traps on grass areas, though recently doesnt matter where I put trap, it doesnt work at all.

I dont know if I reach to high level as Trapper, but in the last week, my kill rate is 1k, which should drop my MMR.

I doubt they nerf them on purpose; the level designers just don't think, it's that simple.

It's like how they gutted Billy on top of reworking the maps to have more stuff in the way and introducing new indoor maps.

  • The devs literally put zero thought when making maps, it's not a new thing.

Guess slightly buffing Trapper after 5 years is enough for BHVR.

  • Because the devs adjust killers based on what survivors think it's "fun" and "skillful", basically making them a clunky mess everytime that nobody wants to play.

It's almost as if the killer should be fun to play AS before anything else.

if you're jaded enough to make this exact same kind of post on nearly every thread why are you even here

It's a general rule with DBD players that the more hours they spend, the saltier they become.

Cause it’s literally the best player of dbd every game always has the one player that comes up with something better than the actual devs and don’t think there not listening they could take any of these ideas at any time. Otz suggested that wraith should have true invisibility and they added that Otz suggested lots of stuff from his blueprint and the devs pretty much did all the stuff he suggested

The problem is that it takes them years to change anything whether it's good or bad.

It took them 5 years to give Trapper 2 traps base kit which is not even a crazy buff. That was literally changing a number from 1 to 2 and a couple of add-ons.

VHS is no competition. Not even close.

All the Killers who claim that they get "bullied" in DBD (which often just means that Survivors won the game...) will not have a good time in VHS if Survivors can fight back there.

VHS is just one of those asymmetrical games which is announced as a new DBD-Killer by the community and will then die like any other "competition".

Isn't it funny though how so many people complain about getting bullied in DBD where the survivors can't attack the killer. There must be a reason behind it that's beyond just bad killer players crying.

Maybe it's true that survivors being able to fight back the killer might never work for making a succesful game, but this conversation doesn't really matter to you guys who essentially live in DBD because any other asymmetrical game will be shoved off regardless.

  • He simply got overperformed my friend.

All that matters is the 50% kill rate and everything is gonna be fine.
