It would be interesting for a Dev to comment on the Oni 180 flicks. I’m not talking about the ones that are pulled off by dashing against an object, I’m talking about the ones where the Oni looks up right before flicking, and then flicks 180 degrees. If the blight hug tech is considered a bug, by the same logic I would think Oni 180 flicks are also a bug.

I've seen a lot of posts on these forums on ways to rework pig, but this is one of the only ones I 100% agree with. A lot of people say her RNG should be more consistent. I've never agreed with this idea. I personally think having killers with RNG aspects to their powers makes them more interesting and helps make games more exciting. Plus the RNG on pig is really consistent with the themes of the SAW films and makes her a faithful adaptation. Instead, the pig's base stats, such as her crouch speed and terror radius, should be buffed to improve her non-RNG dependent strengths. This will compensate for the fact that a large part of her power is RNG dependent. This gives players a way to still win even if they get bad RNG and survivors get the bear traps off quickly, while also not making pig too overpowered if the pig player gets good RNG. I seriously hope more people take notice of concepts like yours and give my girl Amanda the buff she deserves. I want playing her to be a less inconsistent and frustrating experience.

I wouldn't say its exactly normal in purple ranks but it becomes fairly common in red ranks. Personally, I like getting groups like that. They test my skill as a killer and help me improve. But, I understand many people play killer casually and don't necessarily enjoy this kind of pressure.

Even though Candyman is probably one of the most "meh" chapter ideas for me I'll be happy for those that are excited for it. That said though, I'll continue to believe the next chapter is original until some more substantial evidence points towards, well, ANYTHING about the next chapter being licensed. The only hints we have towards the next killer is that he/she/it will have a very unique pallet breaking and pick up animation which, to me, is leading to having a lot of new animations on the level of Demo, so, who knows at this point, we could even see the Xenomorph if that's the case.
Where and when did you hear about this? I’ve been looking everywhere for hints about the next killer and I’ve heard nothing about this. Other than pennywise a xenomorph is the killer I want the most.

Hey, man, I said it before and I will say it again, you ever stop to consider why someone playing a 4v1 game is toxic? Maybe, just maybe it is because they are projecting their insecurities on you and could never dominate a player in a PVP game that involved more than running away. Lol. Seriously, all they can do is click a flashlight or squat. They are still your bottom.
Do people hate Freddy? I usually get very little bagging when I am on him. But then again, maybe that is because I can actually play him. My Pyramid Head is low tier. It feels like they can just stop moving, watch for the timing, and then take a step to the left to dodge. Landing it is the most exciting thing I have personally experienced in any of the other competitive games I have played. Nothing is as satisfying. Especially because that is when hoards of survivors try and BM my baby triangle...
Thank you for saying this, this actually made me feel a lot better. Normally I don't let stuff like this get to me but today has just been probably the worst day for matches I have ever had, and eventually it got to me. I feel the same way about Blight that you feel about pyramid head, when I get a Lethal Rush hit it feels amazing but I definitely struggle with it on some maps. I'm normally pretty good with Freddy, I just sometimes struggle competing with survivors who have thousands of hours when I'm not even at 500. I'm sure with practice and more hours I'll get to the point where I can hold my own against them, I just need to keep playing.

Shes not a weak killer.....that was your first mistake. 2nd, the amount of actual pig mains in red ranks is very small. Simply put, she's strong....but not that popular, and people don't really wanna take the time to learn her mechanics or recalculate their gameplay to do well with her.
Spirit Mains on the other hand are a dime a dozen, she was insanely popular on release.
Pig on the other hand....not as popular as spirit right now, but the people who do play pig.....are usually demons.
Same with freddy. Freddies position in strength is arguable. But his fan base is small, rare, and the ones who do play him.....ARE DEMONS!
These killers popping up in matches at red ranks and killer kill rate has less to do with the strength of the killer itself and more to do with who's willing to master said killer and use it in any rank.
Freddy and Pig are my two mains, so I guess I'm a double demon. Are Freddy players now rare at red ranks? I don't play enough survivor to get to red ranks, but I thought statistically he was one of the most picked killers?

She's the only killer I've never lost with. I believe I'm on 84 wins (4k or 3k with hatch). People underestimate her stealth, you run M&A and whispers and you should always get a hit. Trick is to never use your ambush and just stand up to attack. Her traps slow the game even if they get it off first try becuz that person or people are not on the gen when your chasing someone else becuz of the trap.
What are the other two perks you run with M&A and Whispers?

@GeneralV said:
Yes, it applies to the passive sleep.
Thanks for clarifying! Guess I gotta keep playing an obscene amount of Freddy until I’m up there in the statistics
-
If it’s between only Freddy and Myers, Freddy for sure. Blight is a also a lot of fun but can be frustrating to learn at times.
-
Freddy needs a more interesting power badly. I love to play him because of my love for NOES, but his power is boring to use. I don't even necessarily think we need old Freddy back we just need a more unique killer.

I wish pigs crouch was as fluid and flowing as ghostfaces
This. This would literally make her such a better killer. I’m okay with a killer having rng elements, but without combat straps crouching is painfully slow.

@GannTM said:
I like running Whispers+M&A which helps with gen grabs. You can run that with STBFL as you can ambush the obsession to not gain stacks, or you can use Enduring instead.
Is the combo of whisperers + M&A good against red ranks though? Grabs are a lot harder now and it seems that regression perks are necessary on M1 killers. I know the build usually works for Scorpionz, but he’s basically an M1 killer god that very rarely, if ever miss plays. Is his build really a good build for the average player facing good survivors?

I think Scorp uses a Chase/Tracking Build only.
Brutal Strength, Enduring, Whispers, BBQ
I am not sure about Perk 4 but you should run slowdown Perks on Killers you aren't that familiar with.
I'd recommend Ruin/Pop/BBQ/Tinkerer.
Tinkerer makes you Undetectable more often so you don't have to waste time crouching in order to be undetectable. Ruin and Pop helps in that regard.
This is what I’ve been thinking about running. It might not have been clear from the post but my current build is BBQ, Whisperers, M & A, and Enduring. I’m beginning to think I’m not getting much value out of whispers and M & A.
-
I gotta ask what's the reasoning behind running monitor and abuse on Blight? I would think Blight wouldn't get much value out of monitor due to the noises he makes when he rushes.
-
I know it got mentioned earlier but I can’t stress enough how good getting BBQ as a teachable is. I literally run it on every killer I play and it’s amazing on both pig and blight. Scorpionz has said on multiple streams (and I think in the guide as well) that BBS, Whisperers, Monitor and Abuse, and Enduring is the best pig build. It will also help you grind bloodpoints faster to level up other killers.
-
Scorpionz, who is easily one of the best, if not the best pig player has a great guide for how to play the pig on YouTube. Biggest thing about playing Pig is getting all your bear traps out as soon as possible to get survivors off of gens and learning how to best use her stealth (monitor and abuse + whisperers greatly helps with the latter). That guide will help you with pig specifically, but learning how to play killer just takes time. Scott Jund has a great video on how to run tiles that I suggest to every new killer player that will help with killer basics.
-
I don’t understand why everyone thinks pig needs a buff. I personally like the rng aspect of the traps. I like survivors having a chance just like the victims had a chance in the Saw movies. Plus if you want to really be like Amanda and use the traps to get kills there’s addons for that. The dash is also good if used right and adds a skill ceiling to pig. Good players like Scorpionz can make pig terrifying so I think she’s currently strong enough if you take the time to master her.

I'm thinking a surprise this time with actually 2 killers.
This seems to be a direct link to Code Veronica. Maybe Alexia Ashford as one of the killers.
Honestly I want Alexia to be the killer more than I want a Tyrant or Tyrant variant. There’s much more potential for her to have a cool power IMO. It would also make more sense that she could be stunned by a pallet as well, since she’s not a huge beast like many other RE monsters.
-
The only buff I would ever want for pig is her terror radius reduced to 28 meters. Other than that, I think she’s in a very good place. She’s far from the strongest killer, but a good pig can be terrifying. Scorpionz is proof of that. Part of what makes pig my favorite killer is the fact that she’s on the weaker side, but has great potential when mastered.

They could change black box from the mini blood warden to giving freddy his old power.
I would rather them just give us the option to play as old Freddy from the killer select screen. Needing an ultra rare add on to play the version of Freddy I want is too much and if it came to that I would just stick to other killers.
-
I never got a chance to play old Freddy but from the clips I’ve seen of him he looked super fun and interesting to play. I’d rather have a killer on the weaker side who is fun and unique than a killer who is easy to master. #bringbackoldfreddy
-
The build that got me to rank 1 with Freddy was BBQ, Ruin, Pop, and Tinkerer.
-
After reading all the comments I’ve decided I’m gunna level up blight first and maybe later learn nurse. If I’m going for all out power paired with mobility I’ll probably just give spirit a shot later, but I want my next main to have a high skill cap, which blight has more of than spirit IMO. Plus I know survivors hate spirit and I would like to main someone who is fun for survivors to go against too. Plus I’m beginning to realize I really like blight’s aesthetic, especially with the sophisticated slaughter outfit.

Well, the current issue of killers getting their first hook when 3 gens are completed is being ignored. So killers resort to the only thing that's left.
Solve gen speed and the other issue will decrease.
This. I don’t think many killers want to ever tunnel or camp but when generators are being completed and any pressure the killer has is disappearing the killer will do the only they can do to regain power and remove a player. Especially when things like brand new parts are being used.

Freddy main here. If I want to play Forever Freddy, I will run something like this:
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/88V4N6RLTSOP/image.png
But this is just a suggestion, Freddy is a versatile killer so feel free use any perk you want :)
I was hoping you would comment on this you seem to be the most active Freddy main on these forums. It’s nice to see one of your builds! What other Freddy builds do you run when you aren’t going for the forever Freddy build?
-
@[Deleted User] said:
Forever Freddy isn’t even his strongest build imo the only reason worth running it is when you’re fed up of toxic survivors and want to harvest some salt.
To that effect throw on as many perks that give the survivors icons as possible. Swing chains + jump rope + dying light + thana + sloppy + you could try Ruin, it goes quick but it annoys survivors.
Again its not his best build but nothing beats that feeling when you get the early hit, the survivor sees about 20 slowdown icons appear on screen and they just stop running and give up
Interesting so what would you consider his strongest build then?
-
While never is a strong word I don’t see myself playing nurse for quite a long time. I would rather learn universal skills on other killers or skills that apply to multiple other killers before dedicating a lot of time to nurse and learning things that only work for her.
-
Freddy main here most of my 115 hours in this game have been spent playing him and I’ve leveled him all the way up to prestige 3 level 50. Now I’m working on getting Pig to prestige 3 and have been enjoying her a lot, possibly enough to make her my new main. I might also consider maining Trickster when he comes out because I want to get really good with a weak killer to show their true potential.
With all that being said I would have loved to play old Freddy and wish we still had him. Especially with a Robert Englund skin. That’s why I’m excited about the upcoming Freddy nerf. I don’t care if he’s weaker afterwards, I just want Freddy to have a higher skill ceiling. If he gets this he will remain my main.

It honestly depends on the type of playstyle you're going for, because while some killers can be strong, you may find them boring to play (ex. Freddy).
I'd personally recommend Oni, here's why:
- Since you like to play Blight & transverse the map easily, I think you'd like Oni because he does the exact same thing but better. Once you earn his power (2 hits), you can do exactly that without playing pinball (Blight) & without worrying about bumping into stuff (Billy). Not to mention, you get free instadowns.
- Oni is a really good killer for pressure & does superb at high ranks. You shouldn't worry about underperforming with him as long as you're playing him to the best of your ability. His Blood Fury is extremely easy to master & a lot of times catches people out-positioned. Though I'd recommend not activating it in jungle gyms unless you're confident.
Even if you don't try out Oni now, atleast give him a shot in the future. There is no doubt in my mind that you'll be disappointed.
The Oni has caught my attention recently, mainly because he seems to be near the top of most tier lists, yet surprisingly he doesn’t seem to be played much. Rn my top contenders are the nurse, spirit, and the Oni because all 3 have amazing map mobility (the thing that I liked most about both blight and Freddy) and the ability to be competitively viable. Do you personally think there’s a high skill ceiling to Oni? The main reason I want a killer with a high skill ceiling is because I want to be able to learn cool plays with them even after playing them for many hours. If Freddy has this option after his upcoming nerf I would happily keep playing him, but I would be very surprised if he gets a rework of that nature.
-
Main a killer you like and find interesting regardless of the skill ceiling or how difficult it is to play them. I started playing Freddy when I first got the game and still consider him my main, but I also have started leveling up other killers I like and hope to main my favorite killer once I find out for sure who that is. Play whatever killer looks fun, and start leveling them up and play a few games of them with good perks to decide if you want to keep investing blood points into them. Even if Freddy does get nerfed hard playing him now and playing him smart (placing snares in effective locations instead of spamming them in chases, learning when to teleport and when to cancel teleport to fake out survivors, etc.) will help prepare you for that nerf and make you a better Freddy player than people who don’t play him smart and use his ability effectively.
-
I 100% understand the urge to uninstall, I think a lot of us have been at that point but I wouldn’t give up. I’m a pretty new killer (only 75 hours playtime mostly with Freddy) and so far Freddy is the only killer I know well enough to get into the red ranks with. The previous advice about placing snares is good for shack. I’m not sure if someone has mentioned this, but the shack looses a lot of potential once the pallet is removed so getting survivors to drop the pallet is a really good play, even if it means taking a hit. I like to place snares on either the opposite side of the pallet or right before the pallet so I can either get a hit when they attempt to drop the pallet, or buy some time to catch up to them after they drop the pallet. This only works if they are asleep, but chances are they will be since many survivors don’t wake up enough when facing Freddy.
The other Freddy advice I can give you involves the build. Ruin + Undying is great on Freddy and will help a lot against SWF teams, especially with additional slow-down addons. The other two perks I consider essential with learning Freddy (especially when playing against good teams) are BBQ and corrupt intervention. Corrupt will help you get that vital first hook that you can then snowball from with BBQ. After that first hook the game becomes a race between you and the survivors that Freddy can likely win thanks to reduced gen speeds and the fact that survivors will be spending time trying to find and cleanse totems.
I hope this helps and encourages you to give the game another chance.

I think Oppression has the potential to be a good perk, but I don't think it's going to be a good perk on its own. I personally am excited to pair oppression with pop goes the weasel, surveillance, and possibly even surge too, as long as surge does actually trigger oppression after the PTB. Using it not as a slowdown perk, but as a detection perk when its paired with surveillance is the main way I think Oppression will be useful. I'm excited to hopefully incorporate it into my pig build, but I do think the ruin/undying combo will be better on killers that can reliably defend totems.
