Most likely for Ringu, they were still developing the Haddonfield Update or there wasn't a great location that could be used for a map. I'm not very well versed in the movie, so I couldn't tell you if there absolutely was or wasn't.

As for Pinhead, 2 reasons, he's kind of a hard killer to play. Aiming his possessed chain is hard to do and takes more practice than a lot of people are willing to give. Also, the NFT controversy and the voice removal. I won't go into details about the NFT thing, if your interested there are plenty of people on YouTube that can explain. The voice thing, probably left people thinking they were falsely advised about all that would be apart of him. He got those lines back, but the damage was done.

The way I’ve never heard of NFTs. I just watched some videos on it tho. Thanks for the info

I’m a PlayStation player who’s been playing this game for around a year now, and I can say I’ve been messaged like 4 or 5 times in that amount of time. How often do others get messages after a match and what kinda do you get?

On the rare occasions of me being killer, I get toxic/hate messages pretty much after every game. When I’m survivor, not so much but often and they typically consist of “gg”

Head-on is simply very abusable by survivors and specifically SWF's.

I truly believe it wasn't attended to be used in the way survivors are using it, it was meant as a last-ditch effort to extend a chase with a killer, survivor runs into a locker and stuns the killer.

Sadly, there are people who think it fun to have a friend run them to the front of the locker and then boom, you get head-on by a survivor that there is no way to know they're there.

Today, I was playing my first matches with Pig, I got Badham Preschool IV in the 3rd match, a rough map for most killers but especially Pig. I get a hook pretty quickly with a nice mind game and then gen pops, all of a sudden alerts are popping constantly at the house. I know from past experience I can't ignore it as they just constantly do it, so I go up to look.

It's the 2 rooms with the pallet and the lockers there, nothing I can do but go past the lockers, I assume they are still in the locker and then boom, head-on. I'm like OK, I go to chase after them but to my surprise, the other 2 survivors are in lockers as well and all have head-on.

Of course, I'm going chase after the survivor and there is no way I would think all 3 survivors be in the locker when 4th survivor is on a hook. I also didn't think anyone would be so childish and do this, I had people before running me into a locker where their friend is but never had it to this extreme before.

I disconnected as just don't care to participate in a match with people who think it's fun to abuse a perk.

This is why Head-On should be disabled and redesigned in a way it can't be abused by childish players.

I suggest changing it to "Lock-In", it's similar to Lucky Break that it works for a specific duration but a survivor can jump into a locker, and that locker can not be opened by the killer or another survivor until it runs out, once it runs out, the perk is disabled for rest of match. The killer can wait it out or at least some of it but survivors can waste more of the killer's time with it, could come in clutch in the end game but it's not abusable like Head-On is.

I get what you’re saying. That can be annoying to keep getting stunned for no apparent reason. However, I don’t like it should be changed. I would have just blocked/reported those players

    Better people? Do explain.

You made an assertion, I explained why I disagreed with you. Your only response is an ad-hom.

If you're implying that I'm a bigot of some sort, I don't think that it's in any way bigoted to say that kids that young lack any sort of sexual identity and thus teaching them about this stuff at that age is simply not appropriate.

Why not just let kids be kids, for as long as possible?

    I 100% agree with you

Every player and BHVR knows tunnelling is not a fun game, it's not fun for the survivors and the only fun there is for killers is the potential desired salty reaction they're looking for.

Ever since Wisps tournament, Otz 30 second challenge, SBMM introduction and Boons being added, the amount of tunnelling and camping has gotten worse, guaranteed every 2/3 matches you get a killer doing it.

I don't care what excuses players come up with, tunnelling and hard camping (staying at hook) are wrong, there is no skill to it and it's not fun for the players and this is well known to players, this game is meant to be fun for everyone.

BHVR, I blame you the most for this, you know it happens, you know it's been a problem for longer than I've been playing the game (1 year), yet you do nothing to prevent it at all. You throw out empty gestures like Borrowed Time Base kit in a FAQ but you tell people not to report it in your T&C.

Borrowed time base kit needs to become a thing yesterday and it needs to stack with Borrowed time perk. Also, it needs to be increased from 12 seconds to 24 seconds, with both being a total of 48 seconds. As for anyone who says BT basekit+perk is over-powered, it's only OP if you tunnel a survivor off-hook.

The proximity to hook penalty needs to be massively increased and you also need to introduce a massive blood point deduction to a killer who hooks the same survivor in a row, granted there are 3/4 survivors still in the game.

Proximity to hook penalty, borrowed time perk and borrowed time base kit should be disabled in the endgame, as hard camping hook is mostly the only play a killer has.

You need to come out and say whether you support tunnelling and camping, I would presume you want the game to be fun for everyone, some game sessions are ruined by players doing this. Survivors are just as bad but for the most part, killers can work around that but things need to be done there, like removing head-on perk.

There is no mechanic for tunnelling and hard camping, and you're not a big bad killer who is not meant to be nice either, everyone is looking to escape and have fun in DBD, not just you. If everything I suggest was to be added, then that is the fault of those players who tunnelled and camped, while knowing it wouldn't be fun for the survivors

This game can be a lot of fun but some selfish players ruin that fun for others, it's on you BHVR to do something about it, unless you don't want DBD to be fun for everyone in the match.

P.S I don't blame Wisp or Otz, I blame the players who interpreted the results of the tournament and challenge as an excuse to tunnel/camp.

I agree. I played against a leather face yesterday and he literally face camped every hook with chainsaw reeved up. And we had only done ONE gen. Then proceeded to leave 3 of us slugged smh. Such fun game play

  • What killer do you prefer then? I only have the basic killers

  • Lol they definitely have. It’s harddd

  • @WishIcouldmain said:

Well which killer were you playing and which map was it? And if you don’t play killer much it won’t be easy

I was playing Doc but we were on the Coal tower so needless to say endless loops

On a total tangent I player Deathslinger the other day with Ruin and Haunted Grounds. My Deathslinger is pretty bad because my aim sucks, and unfortunately midmatch the very first totem they cleansed was the Ruin, so I was going into the endgame with everybody alive and about five or six hooks I think. But then at the end, when the gens finished, I was chasing a survivor and someone destroyed Haunted Grounds! 😄 I’m guessing they were worried about NOED so they unintentionally gave me the same effect for 60 seconds. Ended up downing three in a row before it was over, it was pretty ironic since they’d have been better off if I had actually run NOED in the first place like they thought!

Sheesh! Good for you! I literally couldn’t imagine being a killer main. It’s hard

  • My soloQ’s teammates are either clueless, don’t rescue and crouch walk around or god tier altruistic players. There’s no inbetween. I’m sure as a killer that can be frustrating

my attempt at sarcasm did not come across, I tried rewording it but shrug

no, you;re just gonna experience 2500 hours of what you experienced in one game ;)

Lol it did but I wasn’t certain. Thanks tho

  • @MrPeanutbutter said:

Kudos for you for trying killer - it’s not easy! I respect your opinion a lot more than the survivor mains who are too cowardly to try playing killer but still confidently claim that killers can easily get 4K at high MMR without camping/tunneling or using sweaty meta builds.

It’s not easy at all. Especially with basic perks. Kudos to killers for still sticking it out

  • @DrDeepwound said:

naaah you only played one game.

PLay 2500 hours of it then make another post like this telling us how it went

What will be the difference? Will it get worse or more toxic? I’m genuinely trying to learn

  • @OpenX said:

Just depends what killer you are playing. Top tier killers I can see the argument against camping and tunneling.

Low tier killers have absolutely nothing else they can do. I been trying to make Onryo work again today and it's literal torture. Almost no chase power, can't hit and run cause of boons, lullaby stealth killer, and people can avoid her projection from miles away.

I want to play her so bad because I love her character but she's soooo weak I am typically resorting to tunneling the first survivor off hook most games

I agree. I want to try her too but I’m afraid that’ll happen and I hate to be that killer that just tunnels

GhostFace is 115%, the same as Trapper. I have zero trouble looping a GhostFace and I'm kinda bad at Survivor. He has no way to cut loops short.

Well maybe I'm running the wrong perks or wrong survivor because I really hate playing against him. With other killers I'm great

Ghostface is a M1 killer with normal walking speed. Try to bring a spine chill, he cant stalk you anymore and become a killer without the power, it work for me at least.

Yea, that's what I've been running lately. It works great against him and Michael.

Ghostface is super fast? Are you sure you aren't confusing him with hillbilly or legion?

Nope, definitely not confusing him. Been playing since it launched so I think I would know. I've played with dozens and dozens of rank 5 and higher ghost face and if you know how to use him right, ghost face is tough to go against especially with the right add ons and perks.

  • I disagree. Killers are op. Especially GhostFace. He is super fast and hard to go against as a survivor. One of the only ways to beat him is to have a super coordinated team.

  • Omg yess! I’m so sick of solo potatoes. Literally run and hide at the sound of hearing a faint heartbeat instead of trying to do gens and rescues. But as soon as the other survivors finish all the gens, they’re the first ones to power the doors fully causing the end game and leaving immediately smh

  • Ohhh that would be sooo good!

  • This! Face camping is sooo bad! It literally takes the remaining 3 to team up to get a rescue. Without borrowed time and another team mate taking a hit, it’s nearly impossible to rescue a teammate. Idk if the devs need to change it to where the killer is spawned away after hooking a survivor or what but it’s super annoying. 95% of the games I play are with face campers. And I’m rank 8

  • @Priyanshu_16 said:

The Goal is to save Survivors no matter what!

is that really saving them tho? or are you just getting points for yourself? that's definitely not a safe rescue

  • Tbh I think since the doctor buff, he's the most unbalanced and op. He can literally shock you are you're attempting to vault something and stop you from doing so.

  • I swear! I'm a rank 8 (I play xbox) and I'm always matched with rank 16s and up. In a match yesterday, I did 3 full gens solo while my teammates hid. Once we were down to one gen, I finally got hooked. All my teammates were fully healed and not ONE of the came to rescue me. I could see all them in the distance just crouching and getting in and out of closets. They literally let me die on my first hook. I was beyond annoyed.

  • @AvisDeene said:

    Dear Survivors,

Do not listen to the wretched original poster of this thread. The goal of any Survivor is to rescue their teammate no matter the situation. You are required to end your teammates suffering if you are capable to do so, even if the Killer is still about! You mustn't question the situation for the Entity will whisper doubts into your heart and lead you astray to your ultimate doom! It is imperative for you to cease all actions the moment the Killer renders one of your teammates immobile and you must rush to the scene and follow the Killer, taunting them with the clicking of your electronic light emitting devices while you follow them into the dungeon. There is no reason to even equip any perk to succeed in the challenge that the Entity forces upon you, for the Entity has given Survivors a saving grace - If you crouch and cease all movement, you will be rendered invisible to the Killer!

This message has been brought to you by "The Hookers" association!

XD XD XD this is golden haha

  • @illusion said:

Yeah. And please stop looping the killer around the hook. If you can't make a safe rescue, lure the killer away so someone else can. Stop worrying about getting altruism points. Frankly, they should give negative points to survivors who unhook you where the killer can instantly down you again.

Omg yess! Like please lure them away. I really do not under that type of play >.<

  • @BloodyNights said:

Nope, I forgot that I took Borrowed Time off for my meme build, so I'm just super used to rescuing you way too early. Now we all suffer...also the Entity is my best friend.

    XD wow

  • @tippy2k2 said:

    Agreed

It gets super irksome to see some dum dum rushing to me with the killer hot on their tail cause I just know they're gonna grab me, which will leave me alive long enough to get punched in the face again and dropped :(

Exactly :( I understand people are trying to do there challenges like unhook a survivor etc but please be considerate to your teammates. <3
