If these changes went live, someone said on tiktok that survs will basically see an uptake on S-A tier killers in most of their lobbies. The same killers that a lot of us cry about. There would be no diversity in the lobbies when it comes to killers because either killer mains would play better tier killers, or they would simply stop playing. Lets face it- this update would have killed everything below A tier on killers.
This is a reality to anyone who doesnt main high tiers (blight, billy, drac, spirit). Slugging or tunneling is used as a tactic to apply pressure to the enemy team if the killer cannot do it via gen regression/pressure. One chase can determine the outcome of a match if the chased surv knows what they are doing.
It sucks to be tunneled or slugged. We all know. The age old argument of "there are perks in the game" is a valid point. There are so many perks in this game that help/ hinder tunneling or slugging. Use them. Stop being dramatic. If you are getting tunneled or slugged almost every game, either its a skill issue, your gameplay, or you are the 1% unfortunate enough to have these types of killers.
I play surv just as much as i do killer. Let me tell you, about 5% of my games consist of tunneling or slugging. My go to build was DH, dejavu, we're gonna make it, and iron will. If i was being tunneled or chased right after hook, my DH would come into play. After a killer hit me with it, they'd leave me because it's essentially a waste of time to chase me even more.
People should start adapting to how matches are played. Getting tunneled? Try anti- tunneling perks. Getting slugged? Try an anti slug build. I promise you you won't be needing it cause games don't consist of tunnelers/sluggers ALL THE TIME. This is the only way this game will get better. Doing the same thing with the same builds and crying about what side bhvr caters to isn't gonna solve balancing issues, let alone the "hand holding." The definition of insanity is doing something the same every time and expecting something to be different. You want change? Be the change.

If they could, id love to see Coraline's the other mother when she's in her spider form at the end of the movie. That would be so cool. Her power could be like; the longer you stay in her world, a timer ticks off. When it reaches completion, you're hindered for 4%. You have to find the seeing stone, then find the ghost eyes to reset the timer.
Her power would kinda be like Freddy, but hinder like a spiders web the longer you don't find the ghost eyes. She could also have a web ability where she attaches it to you and can pull herself towards you for a lounge attack, kinda like kaneki, but you aim on a survivor instead of terrain. Kinda like demo's shed attack, but more accurate since you have a web attached to you.
I'm referencing multiple killers cause their code exists in the game, so it would be easy to adjust them to fit the other mother. With that in mind, they'd just have to make her character model, adjust the codes for her, and proceed to get her ip, and we would be able to have a spideresk killer in our roster. Plus, it would be cool to see through the seeing stone to locate the ghost eyes throughout maps.

Down one. Anticipate that someone is nearby, especially if they go down by a pallet. Down the one nearby, or try to. If you can't, go back to the slug, usually there is another waiting for you to pick up. If not, pick up, try to hook. If they Sabo or hover, drop th one you're carrying and try to injure the harrasser. Ideally, you want to have injured all of them, so they waste time healing. If they are all injured, you can choose to slug them too which is ideally the play here.
If they're playing by lockers for head on/ flashbang saves, you literally just wait till they leave it. It can be a long wait, but usually these types of players are either jumpy or impatient, so you have to be more patient about getting near the locker in which theyre hiding. And honestly, best of luck to you.
I had one game where there was a duo that had headon, flashbang, resi, and wglf. I managed to kill the other two, and hooked one of the duo in the basement. The other of the two managed to save and immediately, they jumped into the two lockers near the stairs. I literally just sat there staring at the lockers until one of them leapt out to bait a swing. Luckily, i downed them as they were trying to enter the locker, but the other was still in the other locker lol.
So, he had to watch his friend bleed out until he couldnt anymore, and he jumped from the locker. Smacked him as he burst out. Then i proceeded to hump them until the last minute, hooked the first one that i downed. And then, i got to watch the other one bleed out in thecorner next to the chest in basement. It was so satisfying. Mind you, they got multiple locker/flashbang saves before all this went down because i was just playing normall. As soon, i realized what perks/game they were playing i was merciless. Hope that helps.

If bhvr made it so two licensed or paywall perks were in the shrine would be awesome. One killer and one survivor. Ive been waiting for rapid brutality to come backaround. Dont know how long i have to wait for it.

How hard is it for people to take a Legion hit and then drop the pallet for the guaranteed stun? you can literally disable his power with a random useless pallet and he can't do anything about it, but asking survivor players to adapt is apparently just not within the realm of possibility.
I have tried to do that. The legion swung through the pallet, hitting me with frenzy, landing on the other side with me. Then the animation played for the pallet drop. It didn't stun them out their power. I had to vault the pallet after the hit cause the Legion was on the same side as me. It could be a ping issue, but that's what I experienced. Maybe I'll try to do it again when i get another legion.

I keep telling complainers this. Its not catching tho
I guess you pick and choose when the other killer suddenly wants to appear in your chases and arguments now huh? You think people are complaining cause they're not skilled at looping and being downed by a legion? Even when there is another killer in play? You really are thick.
So essentially you're complaining that other people are complaining because they should be better in chase? And you are better than them. And instead of giving tips, you belittle them by calling them complainers? These posts sound stupid asf. Bro nobody is trying to be a sweat lord like you. Some people are just casual gamers looking for a casual time, not trying to play mend/heal simulator.
Your argument is invalid because yall are applying 1v4 legion gameplay to 2v8 legion gameplay. As i said in my other post, these modes are not the same. They are not the same. Add something to an equation, and the answer will be different. I thought they taught this in school?

The herbs become very useful when everyone has stages to lose and injuries to heal. Someone will very likely find it, and make it respawn near teammates to lose their stages, COMPLETELY FOR FREE!!! Survivor is still obviously the better role in the 2nd and 3rd version of 2v8, the herbs make solo queue so much more bearable. If your teammates just do gens and don't 6 gen, you can win any game against any killer combo.
Lol found you in another post about the dislike for 2v8. Not everyone plays like you bro. We know you are a looping, gen rushing machine. Want a cookie? Though i am happy for you that your trying to advocate for this game mode.
I can tell you are def a killer main, trying to convince other people to play survivor, so you can go stabby stabby mend simulator as legion in 2v8. If youre a legion main, just say that.
You can't convince anyone this iteration of 2v8 is better. Killers got 3 whole new killer, and all survivors got are herbs placed in random ahh places that you have to waste time searching for. Where is the new content for survivor in 2v8? This is one of the points Im trying to get across. I hope you can comprehend that much.

Less Skill expression? Whats not skillful abt getting massive chase times against two different killers in one match?
These replies lowkey feel stupid asf, imma just ignore u now since you can't grasp the concept that maybe all your complaining abt is your lack of skill
Are you dumb? It is like talking to a wall. You are thick bro. You proved my point exactly. You have nothing better, nothing else to say, so you talk your ish and chalk it up to skill. You change the subject to benefit your little ego. We not talking about looping two killers in 2v8. We talking bout legion in 2v8 and the perma-injure is kit has.
Yeah, it is stupid asf commenting the same thing in every 2v8 post I see on this forum. Its sad actually. You are literally on every post about the dislike for 2v8, telling people to "get good." Are you paid to be a boot licker? You must be a paid actor bro.
Multiple people are saying the same thing bout legion. I guess we are all not as skilled as you. You sound like a toxic survivor main who teabags every time you predrop a pallet in the killer's face. Awe, you escaped two killer chase; you want a cookie? Miss me lil boii and your little ahh ego.
Go post about how good you are at looping instead of boot licking this trash game mode. Why are you in a discussion when you clearly not comprehending what is being said? Let the adults talk. Go child. Go loop the two killers for daddy. Nobody wants to hear a little boy talk in a grown man discussion.

Why do you people cling to the 1v4 opinion everytime, they are to be played like a support in 2v8, if you have a friend on comms its very easy to get huge value from their slowdown/information/and everyone being injured. it's getting tiresome seeing you all be so closed minded.

Bro. Its really not that deep 💀 legion gives u a lil tickle and then his teammate who should be across the map pressuring gens is gonna come and get the down?
If they're 2v1ing than they're gonna lose, because no matter how short chases are, gens are extremely easy to pop in 2v8. Speed penalties will only apply when the gen is popped, that means theoretically all 7 other survivors can be doing gens and popping all at the same time, benefiting from the unfair 2.5% stackable increase per cage.
Even after doing allat, they are gonna have a super hard time tunneling.
He really isn't much a threat at all, idk why you can't see that. The experience is the same for everyone, sometimes you get unlucky with your teammate's skill, thats just apart of the queuing system
"Legion gives u a lil tickle and then his teammate who should be across the map pressuring gens is gonna come and get the downs?" Bro what's not clicking...? I guess you didn't comprehend what I'm saying. People are unmending, healing, or getting unhooks. No one is thinking about gen rushing when there's a blight/nurse/spirit that can traverse the map with ease. They are healing so they don't get instadowned by these highly mobile killers, which are paired with legion. Idk why you're failing to grasp this concept. As I've said, the dynamics of legion's gameplay change when there is another killer in play.
You're commenting in other people's posts about the same thing. Whoopty doo, your games are better than others, and your matches are perfect. Not everyone has optimal gameplay. Still doesn't change the fact 2v8 survivor feels bad to play. Whether that be because of legion, limited class systems, or less skill expression. ALOT of people aren't playing 2v8, and BHVR sees that and is addressing it.
The underlying issue is there seems to be a shortage of survivor players they aren't playing 2v8, hence the killer queue times. People are just giving their feedback on the new iteration, and what BHVR can do if they want more players to role queue survivor in 2v8. Nothing more, nothing less.
Yes, it isn't that deep. So, why are you on every post about how people feel being in 2v8 as survivor? Idk why you're commenting on what people have experienced and/or feeling bout it. It's what they experienced. There is no right or wrong or opinion. You coming in multiple discussions telling people they essentially suck doesn't change any of what everyone's experiencing about the game mode.

Legion is still super weak in 2v8. Healing and mending is also way shorter in 2v8.
The reason people don't like legion being in 2v8 is because their teammates don't know how to counter them, which i because theres no mmr in the gamemode due to the queues being so long and grabbing random people across the world.
I haven't lost to a legion once yet, they're still really bad, arguably the 8 hit requirement is actually a nerf since your gonna lose all those injuries to fast heals and only get one down like a minute after starting power, or you don't get a down at all because the maps are way too big for his power.
The buffs he should've gotten was; Basekit Mural sketch, super short frenzy fatigues, basekit friendship bracelet, still only 5 hits for an insta down.
This way the legion actually makes meaningful pressure, while injuries from his power are still pretty recent for the second killer to clean up, that is if the survivors are stupid enough to not just heal right away.
Like i said, still really weak
Lol, you're in every post about legion in 2v8 too. Another broken record saying the same things. Lemme sum up what the majority of people's experiences are for you too.
Imma say it flat out; No one wants to play against a legion in 2v8.
It's not a hard concept to grasp. We know they are an m1 killer after frenzy. That is not the point being addressed. What's being addressed is the fact that the experience of going against a legion is not fun or interactive. You are either mending, healing, or unhooking. Idk why you're not getting it either. There is no chase involved BECAUSE there is another killer mopping up after a frenzy hit. Instant downs, no time for loops, no survivor skill expression. Just bland, stale gameplay. This is the point.
You can say it's because there is no mmr, and other people suck (paraphrasing). Still doesn't change the fact you're mending more than you're doing gens. This is MY experience. We know your matches differ cause you're just better. We get it. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. Other people are less fortunate to get baby survivors in their lobbies. Hell, less fortunate even to get a legion/blight combo with undetectable to go against.
Don't discredit people's experiences against a legion in 2v8 by saying its a skill issue (paraphrasing what you said). You offer no insight or tips to combat legion in 2v8, and even then, all counter points have been addressed in those conversations. No one is attacking your main bro. If youre a legion main just say that, and stop hiding behind your passive aggressive posts blaming other people cause they suck. Us vs them conversations are not helping this game mode become better.
The point being made is this iteration is worse because they added legion into it. Simple. It is evident because this time around, they had to add bots and double exp incentive just to get people to play the game. Ik ALOT of people who take a two week break when 2v8 comes around simply cause of the queue times for both modes. Why do you think the incentives are for both modes?
There are so many posts about legion being unfun to play against. Most of them are negative. If most are negative, it's safe to assume people don't like this new aspect of the game mode. It surely is not helping BHVR to get people to play the survivor role in 2v8. Having to implement bots, then go around and take them away, then having to do double exp and 400% bp obviously says a lot about the player base not attending the role.
I hope you can read this and comprehend what is being said. Thank you for your time and have a good day.

The complaints about Legion really show you the caliber of players we're dealing with. They can't handle being injured, the 1 thing that all killers do. It does not matter that he gets easy injures across the team and across the map, because it never has. Legion is not superior to Nurse and Blight. And there being a second killer doesn't change much. Good survivors stay injured in 1v4 against almost all killers, all the time, and they don't have pallets every 2 feet. The 8* survivors do.
It's not a skill issue. It's not anyone's opinion on whether or not legion feels bad being 2v8. It's people's actual experiences playing against a Legion in 2v8. You are on other people's posts commenting the same thing on every discussion about legion being in 2v8. Idk why you're not getting it.
So, I'll say it again for you in this post.
In 1v4, you can opt to stay injured against a legion because they'll just frenzy hit you again anyway for a free health state. You have pallets, loops, and vaults across a map designed to COMFORTABLY fit 4 survivors, so you have the option to spread out against a frenzying legion. This is not the problem.
The problem is when they are in 2v8 paired with a high mobility killer. The maps are designed for space to fit the proper number of gens needed for 2v8, and even then, it's a tight fit. You BARELY have room to spread out. A legion can get fast, chained health states. All the other killer has to do is clean up. Most chases are 2v1. Easy downs, easy wins.
To a survivor, this is not interactive gameplay. It is bland and stale, hardly any interaction with the killer, map, and objectives. Everyone's mending, being chased, healing, or getting unhooks. In that time no one is doing gens. Why are the survivors healing and not opting to stay injured you ask? There is a whole nother killer who is present on the map. An injured survivor is short work for a blight/nurse/spirit to which these killers are often paired with legion.
You can tell when a game mode feels bad when major content creators (tru3, JRM, otz to name a few) aren't even playing 2v8. Killer queue times and the survivor gameplay is just not it. Adding legion, not updating and adding new mechanics to survivor's gameplay just wasnt the play here, and it shows with all the things BHVR is trying to do to entice people to play survivor.
You defending legion on every 2v8 experience is painful. People are commenting their experiences playing against legion in 2v8 on these posts, and you're still sounding like a broken record, "They can't handle being injured… And there being a second killer doesn't change much." No. This is not 1v4 where survivors opt to stay injured cause legion'll just come back around once their power is up to stab you again, sending you to mend YET AGAIN. The whole dynamic has changed BECAUSE there is another killer introduced to the equation. The answer is different. So idk why you're still commenting as if 1v4 gameplay against legion applies to 2v8. They are not the same.
I hope you can read this and comprehend what is being said. No one's attacking your main. We are just voicing our experiences with 2v8 against a legion. Hope you have a good day.

It's not a skill issue. Its not our opinion on whether legion is bad for 2v8. It's the experience of going against them. Legion isn't the problem, but it's when they're paired with another killer is when it's a problem. You're on multiple threads on this forum spouting the same nonsense on other people's posts.
Idk why you're not getting it. So, I'll say it again for you in this post.
Being injured by frenzy is fine in 1v4 because healing is a waste of time against a legion who'll just frenzy hit you again anyway. You have pallets and vaults to loop and the whole map is big enough to spread out. It is not the same in 2v8. There's another killer, usually a high mobility killer at that. You are bound to run into someone cause the map is just big enough for more gens, not survivors. The legion is getting free health states cause of frenzy and the other killer just cleans up. It's 2v1 in many chases. Its easy downs.
Why survivors aren't queing? The experience is trash. The classes have not had any updates. There's little to no interactive chase when there's a legion in the lobby. When there is a legion, survivors are constantly mending, whether they are in terror radius or not, so no one is doing gens. Everyone is either healing or getting unhooks. On survivor side, it's bland/stale gameplay with no chance to loop or escape. Instant downs in chase feels bad, and there is no skill expression when it comes to survivor.
You know a game mode is bad when a lot of major content creators (tru3, JRM, Otz to name a few) aren't even playing 2v8.
You defending legion is pitiful because they're only a problem in 2v8 as what is stated in every 2v8 post about legion. You're legit disregarding peoples actual experiences playing against legion and youre still, "They can't handle being injured... And there being another killer does not change much." Clearly, something is not getting to you. You're like a broken record, replaying the same arguments from legion being in 1v4. We're talking about legion in 2v8. They are not the same.
I hope you can read this and comprehend what is being said. Have a good day.
-
Legion on their own is alright. You have the option to stay injured because the map is big enough for 4 survivors. However, in 2v8, someone is bound to be caught in their terror radius when they frenzy. You can't actively split up in 2v8 because 1: There are two killers, 2: There are still bots in lobbies, and 3: The map is not big enough to not run into someone.
The option to stay injured after being hit by frenzy is a death wish because of the other killer which is usually a high mobility killer like blight/nurse/spirit. The strat is for legion to frenzy hit everyone, then the other killer just downs the rest…
It honestly makes for stale gameplay on the survivor's side. Everyone's mending, injured, and not touching gens. All the while they're running from the killer or getting unhooks. Most are healing because of what I stated above. Blight/nurse/spirit can make short work of someone already injured, so youre basically screwed if you're not at full health. And yeah, the healer class does have the team ability, but it does have a hefty cooldown compared to how fast and how much legion can frenzy.
My first game going into 2v8 today and i get a legion/blight. Needless to say, im not playing it again. One and done. I only went into a game because i wanted to test it and see if matches were better with one less bot. Surprisingly (sarcasm), it was.
Delete legion from 2v8. Just like how freddy is kill switched for lights out, legion should be kill switched for 2v8.

Tomie is still bugged.
For regular Spirit, the husk audio is fixed, but they actually fixed it a little too good as now while phase walking you now also don't hear the little "crunching" sounds from your husk that are normally there, but that's not a big deal.
Tomie is purposefully louder because survivors conplained her skin was too quiet. Kinda like how the were-elk skin was too quiet, so they made spirits tomie skin louder. So the "bug" is intentional.
You should watch some spirit videos on youtube before the castlevania chapter dropped. The only thing youd hear when she phased was the subtle whooshing sound while doing it. Nothing else. Now, if you stand close to your husk, you can still hear her bones cracking and her croaking. They only got rid of her loud ahh moaning as she phases which is nice, but the fix doesnt compare to before. Its still bugged.
-
You probably dont have crossplay on. But another reason could be because no one wants to play survivor. Bots are horrendous and getting a match with legion os playing mend simulator. Gl with the matches tho, if you find one.

Who doesn't like legion? Hes one of the weakest killers in the game rn. Its your teammates who make them seem strong, because for some reason no one knows how to split up which is super obvious counterplay. Hes not even overtuned, its literally that no one knows how to counter his power, they just insta mend since mending isn't long in this gamemode. Then again, im yet to see a single legion I've played against get 9 hits consecutively, its actually hard to do and you need to activate power on one end of the map and travel to the other side over time, gettung chain hits on the way
You can ask any survivor who their least favorites are and legion would be in their list. Frenzy has no counterplay at all. You can't pallet stun, loop, or locker dive to save you from getting hit and put to mending.
Your argument is splitting up, but how can you split up with 7 other people on a map that's not big enough to elude a 32m terror radius? Someones bound to start beeping if one person gets hit with frenzy.
Ive instamended because in the short while of getting put into the mend state, no one is doing gens at that time to avoid legion. Can't do gens if imma bleed out.
There are already two bots in every game that don't touch anything if they hear a terror radius. Everyone's constantly mending while being chased by the second killer, so its an instadown, comboing it with frenzy. All this time and no one is doin gens. Thats my point. Ive played about 15 games and only escaped once from exit gates and once from hatch.
Every legion was accompanied by a high mobility killer, so good luck with trying to get away. Im not ranting. This is my experience playing this iteration of 2v8.
Legion was not the play here. Bots are dumb. No one is doing gens if theyre mending all the time. Killer queues are still 15-20 mins for a lobby WITH BOTS. No. Im not queueing into this game mode.
-
Legion being in 2v8 is repellent for the game mode. Im not playing.
They wanted less queue times and decided adding legion to 2v8 was going to have survivors queue up. Dont tell me that isnt a joke, right? Out of all the killers to add, they added the one killer almost all survivors dont like? Must be the punchline.
-
@danielmaster87 said:
I reject this premise every time it arises. The only reason you're playing a "mending simulator," or mending the whole match is because you keep healing over and over, which is the worst thing you can possibly do against Legion because that gives him value of his power. You're spending 20-30 seconds healing at minimum, and then he comes by and re-injures AND deep wounds you in 2 seconds. Not smart. He could, of course, keep deep wounding you while you're injured, but then he's just wasting time to get nothing in return. That would be a net positive for you.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3882736#Comment_3882736
I've never heard someone say there's no counterplay to Legion. That being true would make him the strongest killer in the game, more than Nurse/Blight/Spirit, because at least they* have counterplay!
I know it's hard for 6-8 players to know to spread out against Legion, because the regular 4 have a hard time realizing that. But that doesn't mean you're unable to do anything against the killer. Even if he always hits you because your teammates let him chain frenzy all the way to you, you know how to hold forward and waste time, or pallet stun. No Legion is 100% perfect at baiting out pallet drops. And at the end of the day, he's M1.
You saying that is like saying no nurse is perfect and will sometimes whiff, or a phasing spirit might get audio mixed up and miss her phase. I dont understand what youre getting at. Youre essentially saying that its inevitable, "You know how to hold forward and waste time." The best you can do is waste their time...? Does that sound like counterplay to you? Your response offers no incite, no substance on how to counter frenzy. "No legion is 100 % perfect," but every legion ive gone against anticipated the pallet drop. Not to mention a legion can vault the pallet with no delay, so theres no pallet tech to reverse the killer and make them hit the pallet instead of you. Your argument is invalid.
Not only does his power take time away from gens being done, survivors arent doing gens regardless in 2v8. Also, not to mention that bots dont do ANYTHING as long as they hear the killers terror radius. They dont do gens, heal, or interact with anything other than hide or distance themselves from the killer. So literally no one is doing gens. All my games there are 6 people (im not including the 2 bots), and only 1 or 2 people are on gens. Thats it. Thats why i mentioned legion. One of the most boring, repetitive killers there are, and someone decided to add him to 2v8.
-
Evwry match ive played in has had bots. All my matches has two bots. Legion is a literal blight having people constantly mending, so no one was doing gens. Ive escaped once and played maybe about 10 matches, all survivor of course. Im not waiting no more than 7 mins for a lobby. Survivors are horrendous, almost as if they lost the thought to loop the killer, if given the option (two killer two tap). The bp incentive doesnt even amount to much. I Would like to at least get 100k bp for playing this stupid mode as survivor where the bots do next to nothing as long as they hear the killers terror radius.
-
I hear you. Legion was not the play for2v8. They need to completely overhaul his kit cause its not fun to comstantly mend the whole trial. Not to mention theres really nothing you can do for their power. A good legion would bait out pallet stuns, locker dives, and window vaults, so theres essentially no counterplay against it
-
If they have a 400% bp incentive to play survivor, id do it. These past iterations were dog water when it came to bp, especially since you cant bring offerings. Trust that if theyd just bump the incentive, people would play that side more. And id be able to prestige my characters faster.
-
If they did this, id play that stupid mode. Maybe 100 iri Shards a match would be okay, but not be game breaking. But honestly, when 2v8 comes around i usually take a break from the game. Queue times are horrendous, even for 1v4. Playing as Survivor is chaotic and bland in 2v8. So i dont really care for it.

Idk bout you, but I've gotten thank yous and ggs from people i let out. Even gotten people telling me I'm really good. The trick is, if you can, you slug them enough so they understand that you can kill them at any time. I don't do it to be mean, just maxing my blood points, but they get the point too lol. Often times, they'll line up at the exit gates for a slug race. It's fun. You could try that approach.
Anyone i deem toxic though, i kill immediately and let the rest go. Or if someone is trying to go next I'll slug and go back and forth on them (hehe) for a min cause going next is bad. Sometimes, their teammates would join too cause going next is an epidemic rn and ruins the game imo.
Hope this helps. Remember to slug them enough. That's key.

We are not rejoicing. How does BHVR say they fixed something TWICE and have the problem still be there? Idk whats it like on their end, but dont say you fixed something and clearly the prob is still there… it wouldve been better if they said, "We are working diligently on the problem. We have removed her LOUD AHH moaning tho, so theres that." You can still hear her croaks and bones cracking still while standing near her husk. She should sound like before the castlevania chapter dropped. However, she is quieter. I'll give them that.
-
Whoa, honestly just thought my L2 was giving out... sometimes thathappens to me too, and i have three diff controllers. I hope it's a bug
-
Im glad someone reported it again. Also, the tomie skin (junjo ito collab skin) is bugged now too. Her breathing is a lot louder, and you can hear her husk when shes phasing. Whats worse is that her breathing sounds a lot like survivor breathing, so people who bought the skin are calling it a scam. Very hard to track survivors. People who bought the skin are using default skin cause its that bad.
-
There is only one thing on my wishlist.
-Fixing the audio bugs in the game (flashbang silence, bad/misleading directional audio)
I dont ask for much. But ik that this prolly wont happen.

Ah you just gave yourself away 1 bad chase, that means you should have maybe drop whoever your chasing asap or if they taking you to strong loop areas do not go there and hope there is a weaker person in chase. No matter what you say aura reading is lazy and crutch for killers just like how distortion is for survivors. Chaos shuffle confirms to me this that whenever they have 0 aura reading even with a strong killer they struggle because they cant be 24 hour peeping tom or jane.
Im not trying to change your mind. Im merely stating my experience. Im not talking about me chasing a surv for a minute, knowing i need to disengage. Im talking about getting stunned or the surv having an exhaustion perk to get away.
And as for your statement about crutches, im playing chaos shuffle without aura and winning most of my matches. Its not even about crutches. Its about using the utilities you have and adjusting your gameplay.
You are just a bias surv main.

Killers who are lazy and have no awareness are also bad at the game thus they relay on aura reads to find survivors same concept.
You can be genrushed in four minutes and down to one gen in less than five. One bad chase in early game usually determines the outcome of the match. Ive had three gens pop back to back after I just got done with my first chase. Imo, having aura reading perks cuts the downtime of finding survs. Play smarter, not harder.
Its not laziness. Its the simple fact that distortion users cant last 30 secs in chase to recharge stacks. Thus, why i said to get better at looping. I mean thats what all the crying was about right? Just gotta last longer in chase to get your stacks so you can hide. Am i right?
Old distortion was lazy cause you never had to be chased or even interact with the killer. You just had to stay within their terror radius, and you essentially hide forever. Imo, poor game design... rewarding hiding by hiding... cant progress the game if the survs are hiding. Cant progress the gens if all the distortion users are hiding in corners waiting for their teammates to die.
-
Imo knockout should be a hex kinda like third seal is.
-
All i got to say is- get better at looping. I read in multiple streamers' chats that the ones who talk about aura reading, or complaining in general are just bad at chase. The only ways to get better are watching someone being chased, or to be chased yourself. Its a core aspect of the game. You cant avoid being chased forever. The killer should find you. Thats the reason why distortion got nerfed in the first place because you could hide all match and gain stacks with the old iteration.

Like many in this thread stated, just take a tape from the nearest tv. Youre safe from condemn as long as you arent near a tv thats on. Spamming tp is a tech that utilizes her power to maximum effiency and denying counterplay. Always pick up a tape as soon as the tvs turn on. Its not an option like how current freddys power is.
Shes not a strong killer. She has no gen pressure, mid chase pressure, and shes an m1 killer. Imo, shes one of the hardest killers to maximize her power because its so easy to deny her power. Just like its easy to stack her condemn if she spams. Vice versa.
As to the map offering, i cant blame an onryo that burns midwich offering. That is one of her strongest maps. Easily, the funnest map you can play her on cause of the tv spawns and floors.

What made my survivor games better is by playing killer tbh.
When you play killer, you get a sense of what the survivors are doing. You might even run into a survivor who is really good and loops you for 3 gens, but thats where you learn. And for me, i love going against good survs who know how to loop cause you learn how to be a good survivor from their gameplay.
Also, playing killer teaches you how a killer thinks. Since you have a general idea of what you'd do as a Killer, 9/10 that's what the killer you're facing is thinking too, so there's mind game potential. I think alot of people only play one side mostly, and that's where the frustration comes from. Now, to address the issue of slugging.
If i encounter a slugging killer, it's usually the lobby's fault for giving the killer that option. In every slug match ive encountered, this is always the case. People play too altruistically, going for saves too soon or too late (timing is everything). Or someone is waiting for the flash save, not doing gens at all (this is how slugging starts in most of my games). Or not resetting (opting to play injured when they could have healed). The killer punishes the misplay. Think of it like a fighting game. If one side makes a mistake, the opponent counters and starts to combo.
Or the killer is having a bad day and is trying to slug (you punish by gen rushing which deletes their slug pressure). Well then, you could always go next and/or dc :) (which is an epidemic rn and people who do this need to be cured).
After reading this, if you don't think there's room for you to improve your gameplay, you just wasted your time reading my post.
Have a good day. Stay safe in the fog ;).

Where is the best place to read about updates besides Twitter.. Since I left Twitter I find it difficult to find DBD news all in one place.
If you have steam, they post their soon-to-be updates there. For me, i just go to my library, and at the top where the news for my games are, its there. The forums don't really get the soon-to-be ones, but just the existing ones. Hope that solved your question.

The best example of this would prolly be Chaos Shuffle,
That mode took out the deliberately picked meta builds entirely, leaving just strats if they cared to use them. Players of the more competitive bent may not enjoy the chaos as much as casuals.
With how many people that conplain about perks, chaos shuffle should be added to the game as a game mode permanently. Cause chaos shuffle is def fun, and it caters towards casual players alot because of the random perks. Its a good break from always having to rub meta perks, and going against meta killer perks

Honestly, if numbers are plummeting, it's probably because of all thebugs in the game. Just my opinion, but dbd is the only live service game I've played that had bugs go on for MONTHS, even years before being addressed. Not to mention a lot of bug reports go unheard or unanswered. Idk if it's cause the devs aren't concerned about it, or their team doesn't have the resources or people to look into these issues. Iirc, they let go a BUNCH of good people who could've helped in fixing the million bugs in the game. Ik many people who quit or taken a long break cause their favorite killer is insanely bugged. So there's that
-
There are a lot of hackers because any hacker can essentially apply an overlay to your game through malware or faulty WiFi. Some have even impersonated other streamers/casual players by using their names and getting the innocent player banned instead. I know this because I am a victim of ingame overlay through something called a decisive traversal exploit. So make sure you have a good firewall. Im still repairing and setting precautions for my pc even after a month of me "not playing the game." Stay safe in the fog everyone.

Mobile is free and most of the pay wall perks were base. Kinda sucks that everyone that played dbd mobile free will now have to pay for the game in order to play. Just my two cents.

apparently it’s bots: yesterday I had the nurse who auto hooked everyone and the killer was a TTV player. But when I went to their channel they were live and actively playing as a survivor in a match. So it couldn’t have been them. It’s very strange.
Hackers are impersonating casual players and streamers with low numbers. Happened to me.

My take on it is a person has invested so much time and resources into learning the nuances of their killer that when they get changed, it is usually to the detriment of having learned that killer before the changes.another reason is a lot of the dbd community is pretty toxic. The tbagging, bm, and hatespeech, etc. If a person needs help on a very particular subject, it's often met with hushed tongues and side-eyeing. So I can understand why people don't play anymore... my reason came very involuntarily, but I'm glad I can't play anymore.
-
Idk. It's sounds like bhvr is banning the wrong people if there are so many hackers these days. I just casually scrolled down fhd forum and seen at least 5 posts about hackers. Have fun in the fog lol

It's sad that the devs buff/nerf certain perks to ALLOW some type of variety, but people always complain about it. First, it was the gen regression that got nerfed. You BARELY see pop goes the weasel because of it. Aura perks got a buff indirectly cause of distortion. Now hex perks got buffed, and people are complaining bout that too.
I remember people used to call it cringe that the killer would bring four slowdowns. Like straight up being toxic to the killer community cause four slowdowns were met. Now, there's actual variety in perk builds, and people still aren't happy. Still complaining.

The final survivor mori is fine, idk why people keep making such a big deal about this anyway. Not like killers weren't slugging the final 2 survivors anyway before this change.
This. Idk why people came out the woodwork to complain about the new mori system causing killers to slug for finisher mori. They've been doing that. It's not more prevalent cause of the changes. They've been doing that. If someone wants a 4k, they're gonna get a 4k. It doesn't matter about the built in cypress mori. It doesn't matter about anything as long as the killer wants a 4k. Stop complaining about it.
Better yet do something about it if it's such a problem. There's perks that facilitate finding hatch like clairvoyance, left behind, low profile, and others. Bring an endgame item like an iri map or iri key so you can find hatch or open it if it's closed. There's so much complaining on here bout the new mori. It's ridiculous. It ain't that serious bruh.
If you're that frustrated, go play something else. Works for me.
-
Do people seriously get back to back games where killers slug? Enough to complain about it on multiple threads? I play daily for at least 5 hours, and I'll only experience a killer slugging maybe once or twice throughout the day... and they usually slug when the team is good at getting gens done... idk, may be my MMR is low or something cause I rarely get a killer who slugs for the sake of it. Someone clarify so i can understand please.

You should get every character you have on console with crossprogression. You keep everything on your account.
What this person said. You just have to link your console acc with your pc acc (steam or epic games) to your bhvr acc (create one if you don't have it) and you should have all the dlc your console had. Cross progression was a W move on bhvr's part.

I call it "impossible skill check build." Is essentially oppression, undying, Huntress' lullaby, and overcharge. You need the iri paintbrush and green dress add ons. Iri paintbrush, so they don't wake up missng checks. Green dress to regress missed skillies further. When survivors miss skillies, it can regress gens by 15%. Overcharge and oppression just helps in them missing skillies. If you get hooks earlier on in game and get lullaby stacks, there's literally nothing they can do until they find the two totems.

Honestly, I slug when the situation calls for it, or if all survivors are huddled around the downed surv. I think these things go hand in hand. If you don't want your killer to slug, or have incentive to slug, don't put yourselves in situations that calls for the slug play to be effective. Like huddling around the surv that is by a pallet. I think that people should play both sides as do I to understand the situations better. Only time I see a killer slug is when multiple players are by the downed surv, and the killer knows it.
if anything just run this build: WGLF, MFT, soul guard, DH. But I honestly think people like to complain about this issue cause I BARELY get killers who slug, especially back to back games where this build is needed.
