I run these perks if I have a lot of matches where the killer slugs: WGLF, MFT, Soul guard, DH. I don't have back to back killers who slug though, so most of the time this build is only effective 25% of the time. Hope this helps
-
I had a ghostie stalk throughout the match, never touching gens. He would occasionally get into chase, and 99ed all of us. When the last gen popped, he marked, slugged, and hooked us. Only one got out cause he was in the exit gate, too afraid to leave cause he knew he was 99ed too. I honestly wasn't even mad cause it was clutch, and he used his power tactically. It was beautiful. I'm def calling skill issue here.

You must have never had a good team. A good team can wreck a killer
-
I just played a match with spirit and can confirm there is an audio bug. When the spirit phases, her moaning takes up the entire sound space, so you can't hear directional audio coming from survivors. Considering her power, tracking by sound is very crucial to her playability, and scratch marks tend to be misleading.

Players shouldn't have complained about the perk being changed in the first place, but they should've realized it got changed from a stealth perk to a chase perk. Players have complained so much that bhvr gave back the recharge mechanic and token system. I agree it is dead, NOW. And yall have yourselves to blame for this one.
Im sure the devs wanted to change the perk because distortion counters A LOT of perks, and the recharge system of the old version promoted TOO MUCH stealth gameplay- to the point where users would stealth and essentially let their teammates die because they couldn't and wouldn't be found if the killer ran aura perks. This was in most of the games where distortion was being used.
I'm laughing in killer cause yall be complaining yall are drowning in a 2ft pool. Don't be mad at bhvr. Be mad at yourselves.
-
I've been saying on these forums about the ptb version of distortion being changed to a chase perk. That it was supposed to be used during chase to counter the changed zanshin and other aura perks. Now, players have complained about it so much that they re-added the recharge mechanic again and also upped the tokens. So players now have to last at least 30 secs in chase and requires a minute of chase for full recharge. Lol, it is NOW a dead perk thanks to the players who couldn't see that the ptb version was actually good. Yall have yourselves to blame for this one.

I just tried deleting the DbD in appdata, it did not fix it for me.
Wow, thank you. Lmk if anything works for you.

This was a major problem for me that I ended up fixing by deleting my appdata for dbd. it will reset your settings, but its faster to fix them than wait out your disk issues.
How did you do this? I've been having the same issues with disk usage for some time now. Things still run smoothly, but it is alarming when the disk use goes to 100% my fans go into overdrive.

Every clown I've faced tunnels and camps off hook. Imo, if a killer can slow you down and speed himself up, it's really the skill of the player atp. There's really no counterplay other than high cover and walls, and even then, he just needs to throw his haste bottle to catch up. Sure I can predrop, but his hinder bottles negates any distance really. On top of that, his haste bottles speed him up. Blood favor works wonders on him. Try it next time. Have a good day.

Imagine crying about light born lol. You sound like someone from a swf that got salty cause your whole team brought flashlights, and the killer brought one perk cause he or she didn't want to get bullied. "The audacity" -Lifeweaver

It's not at all holding the game hostage in anyway shape or form
How would you go about circumventing this then?

Imo they could implement a system where you can trade x amount of brown offerings/ add ons for x amount of green, purple, or iridescent offerings/ addons. Too often do I have thousands of brown addons for killers that go untouched because they're weaker compared to their other addons. At least with this suggestion, if you run out of something, you can always replenish.
-
You sound like you're a survivor main, complaining about things because you don't like them. Dracs wolf form is VERY situational now, and most survivors know that how to juke it now. Like what @Smiss said, a lot of dracs use bat and vampire mode more.
I think you should play drac and get used to his wolf form. Maybe then, you'd understand how to juke his pounce. Assuming that's where the frustration of complaining about this form comes from.

Just my two cents, but it really depends on the team im playing against. Read the room scenario. If I see that at least two survs have beamers, imma slug more that game. If survs are downed by pallets imma slug til I know I'm safe before picking up. It really depends on the match and how those survs play.
If unbreakable becomes base kit, I do believe survs who play obnoxiously would just take advantage of it at that point. All it would take is to have duos run beamers and power struggle perk to actively harass the killer, so they don't pick up, effectively stalling the game. It would be hell for any killer going up against survs who would exploit this feature imo.
If they add base kit unbreakable, bhvr needs to add more time to the gens to compensate for players who would stall the game cause they want to use their base kit unbreakable every game. Mind you, each survivor would have one chance to do that, effectively prolonging matches too. So imo, no we don't need it. Yeah it sucks to be slugged, but base kit unbreakable would be exploited too much. Just something to think about. Have a good day.

Okay sure.
I dislike stealth killers and stealth as a mechanic in general, I do appreciate how they make the matches tense and require my SWF to actually have good comms, but Chucky is diff in the sense that he's tiny and to my knowledge his indicator isn't very reliable like GF cloak or Myers breathing, feel free to provide insight I am open to getting better.
I dislike how tiny he is, feels similar to Sadako but worse as far as mind-gaming and keeping an eye on the model while looping.
Finally, I dislike his M2, I'm okay with it going under pallets, I'm partially okay with it curving, but it's way too spammy and feels like trash if you're not at a good loop chain.
Oh yeah and he feels like a magnet for emotional players.
People complained that him scampering under pallets was a free hit. So, they reworked him, gutted his scamper, and to compensate, gave him a cooldown reduction to recharge. Which killed his signature as a dash killer imo. Now, he can get his power back faster, and people want to complain about that too? Pick your poisons people. Understand this killer is a 4.4 m/s. He needs some type of traversal in order to have adequate map/gen pressure.
You can't complain about something when the option to play as him is readily available, assuming you bought him as a killer. Play as Chucky, and then you'll understand why he needs his recharge. Don't petition a killer to be gutted when they already took away what made him Chucky in the first place.
I'm calling skill issue here. Every time I play as chucky, people predrop, crouch tech, and juke me all the time. His S&D is very linear and VERY predictable. I'd say, step out your feelings and learn some counterplay. Thank you and have a good day.

Don't come for Ada mommy. Just buy her and enjoy your ptw ;). Have a good day

Shes not. I've gone up against good SM. What they do is place drones in high traffic areas where it's hard to hack her drones. Initiate chase and basically bait the survivor to run into all your drones. Claw trapped and downed. Simple. I dislike how people complain about changes, but don't try to adapt to them. She's still gonna be brain dead when it comes to getting value from her power. You place a drone. If not hacked, survivor runs into it. Bam scanned.
She was a pain to go against. Now, there's just more counter play for survivor. and I also play SM when I feel like killer games aren't going my way with my normal picks. I use the same strat, and there's nothing the survivors can do about it cause they can't hack my drones lol. Nothing is going to change except the haste. Which really needed to go. Wasn't fair if she chases you and is faster cause your other teammates got scanned.
Hope you use this strat. Have a good day.
-
I honestly think this change is balanced. I've encountered too many times where I had to tunnel out the non distortion users simply cause they're easier to find when I run aura reading perks. Most of the time, the distortion users just stay hidden the whole match, legit letting their teammates die without ANY hook states.
If anything, it'll at least even out the hook states between the survivors if the killer isn't intentionally tunneling. I've always felt distortion is too strong, and it needs to be earned. Love that BHVR listened to the community by establishing that in order to reactivate distortion, you need to have chase with the killer. Essentially, evening out the hook states amongst the survivors so you can have your distortion back.

I play spirit quite often. In some matches, her chase music would completely swallow footsteps and injured noises. Just my two sense. With the iron will buff, it's EXTREMELY frustrating to play her, or just playing killer cause sound is primarily how some people track survivors. Does anyone run an EQ? I'm curious to hear someone's results?
-
I was watching streamers play drac during ptb, and I'm surprised no one said anything about the bat forms bat sounds. I've been play with drac for a bit, and the bat form seems kind of lackluster. It's good for mobility cuase his teleport, but I want it to be more viable during chases where you get the hit and the surv gets adrenaline to gain distance. The bat form is LOUD, and it's just not practical to use while in chase which is kind of a bummer. I would like, if they change it, so the bats aren't as loud on the killer side. So, it would be easier to track survivors while in the form to make it a more effective pick versus dracs other forms for closing distance. Hopefully, this could be implemented. Have a good day.

With your suggestions, what would be the point in playing as spirit at all then? Her power is supposed to be this way because it highlights a very good aspect of the game- mindgaming. You can't see what the killer is doing, and in return, she can't see what you are doing. It sounds fair, no?
There is potential to mindgame. On both sides. I also dislike when survivors make no effort to learn counterplay. Iron will exists that COMPLETELY counters her power, and it is top five most used perks ATM because of its buff. If you aren't using headphones, what are you doing? If you aren't, that's on you, and you're actively at a disadvantage.
Why complain about a killer that is so rarely seen in pubs anyway? I've only gotten one spirit in the past month. And I've only faced about 6 in my ENTIRE span of playing on pc. I have about 1.2k hours ATM.
Footsteps ATM are bugged, and scratch marks are still bad and misleading. These aspects are crucial in using her power effectively. And these things are either bugged or aren't as effective as they should be. But these aren't a survivors problems are they?
As for those whose hearing is impaired, there is a visual heartbeat. You're calling changes for a killer you HARDLY see anyway in any lobby. At most, you'll only get about one spirit game every month because her player base is so low. Imo, you shouldn't be complaining about her if you don't play as her. I challenge every one who thinks she should be nerfed to play as her. So you understand the real problems at hand. Have a good day.

I think if there are TWO survivors left, and no one is touching GENS to progress the game for at least 7 minutes, their aura should be revealed for 5 seconds. BHVR should also let the last survivors know their aura is being read via an icon. If there is only one survivor left, then this deactivates.

Tbf, I never saw how a scamper under a pallet was a free hit. Most of the time, if the surv knew how to loop and track, when I scampered under the pallet, they'd be at the other end of the loop by then, practically on the other side, ready for another loop when the scamper animation ended. Because he's 110. Mind you, there are some add ons that were made obsolete cause of the change. *cough iri hat*
There were occasions where the surv lost track of me, and I'd scamper and m1 them because they'd be in front of me after the scamper. But they misplayed the pallet, and it got me the hit. It wasn't a free hit. It was the surv being outplayed by my power. Scamper was chuckys identity and one of his major selling points. Heck, his intro video even shows him scampering a pallet. And bhvr gutted that to appease survs who cried cause they didn't want to learn proper counterplay.
Overall, the changes are good cause he's in his power alot faster. But his gameplay feels kinda bland imo. Just a dash killer with no uniqueness to him. The S&D feels so clunky, and the turn rate is abysmal, after scampering under pallets or vaults. It's kinda sad cause he was once my main, but there are better dash killers such as wesker or blight. Both who have their own signatures as dash killers. Just my two cents. Good day players.

I played against four singularities in a row. He's def oppressive. And there's no counter play after you emp the slip stream cause he'll just tag you again with another.
-
I just went up against four singularities back to back. Lemme tell ya'll- it was not fun to play against this killer. His new changes honestly make him OPPRESSIVE with no counter play AT ALL. Story time folks. This is gonna be long, so grab your popcorn:
All of my chases with him were miserable and hopeless. Any camera near me, he'd take control of. Bam. Instant auto aim lock. Biopoded. I broke line of sight. Sought out windows to vault through. Barely threw pallets cause he could just chew through them either by tping or being in overclock. There's literally nothing stopping him once he has you tagged. I would emp the biopod on me. Wanna know what happened next?
Singu just aimed a few meters ahead of me, put up another camera and tagged me again. That autoaim is something fierce cause i was getting tagged FAST too. Even had my teammates jump in chase to emp the pod on my back and vice versa. Same thing- he just shot up another cam and tagged us again. Now two emps gone and nothing to show for it. Just constant tping with NO COOLDOWN as he ignores pallets and vaults. And this is solo q. My last match had some good survs, and we got the gates powered.
I died first as the last gen popped and started spectating. Bruh, this killer put three biopods each on both exit gates in different angles and lengths from the doors, so they weren't able to emp them with one or two emps. The end was miserable. One guy just stood behind cover near one gate, staring at it with an emp in his hand... knowing he couldn't emp all of the biopods.
Another teammate was at an emp case, his char pressing the stupid button to make the printing go faster, so he could get rid of his tag. The third one was trying to get the other exit gate open, but like I said, three biopods guarding it. And singu was teleporting to each gate, tagging and tping to anyone who was trying to open them unhindered.
Getting the gates powered to see how that killer did them looked like a hostage situation... I'm glad I was the first to die. It was frustrating to put all that effort in that match to have the killer do that to the gates so no one could leave. It was hopeless.
It took no effort to tag my teammates trying to open the gates. If they stepped out of cover, automatic lock on. Bam. Biopod On their back. Theyd run to cover again. If they stepped out, the auto aim lock on sound commenced and singu would tp to them again. I couldn't watch anymore, and I don't think they got out.
Bhvr needs to add a cooldown on his teleport or something to compensate for the ridiculous auto lock on feature his cameras now have. You're CONSTANTLY tagged during chase. Literally NOTHING you can do about it cause his cams recycle like Freddy's traps when destroyed by him. His cameras can be put in ways they're in close proximity to one another, but far enough to where one emp won't disable all of them in that area.
The emp case having to wait until a surv interacts with it to even print an emp is trash considering how fast he can cycle through his cameras to find the one nearest to a surv to tag and tp to them. The time it takes to print an emp and use it is futile to how fast he can replace a camera that's been emped.
Like bruh, this killer is oppressive and NOT FUN to go against.
I've had a friend stop playing singularity because he told me he was over powered to play as.
For the people arguing for him or are indifferent about his changes, ya'll have not went up against him enough. Mind you, I went up against four singularities IN A ROW. And they all played the same- camera set up, camera control, auto lock on, tag, spam teleport. It might be managable if you have a swf, but I'm solo q. And it was depressing af in all my games against him.
I hope BHVR reads this. Something needs to be done.
