If you're talking about the audio issue where directional audio breaks, that only happens when you interact with Springtraps cameras. I tested it, and sent a bug report to the devs.

This sounds like a completely level-headed post. /s

blame the community and bhvr but also you have to blame sensitive people outside of this community since they're censoring the broader internet as a whole since they can't just turn off the monitor or do something else
it's pretty depressing when you think about it
I don't think it's that deep lol
They just need to add an option for it, it's not as in-depth as you're making it out to be
-
@terumisan said:
people are sensitive unfortunately
That's not a good reason for not having an option for it at least. The "sensitive" people will just keep it turn on.

In this game i see no other option for the killer, than slugging ect.
Ofc I'm not talking about Boil Over games or heavy Flashbang games, but hard slugging in the average match is not healthy or good for the game in any way.

Its like the people defending knockout saying its not that bad havent been in a solo que round before lol. Person goes down, "oh they have knockout cant see where they are.. are they picking them up or? second person down oh its one of THOSE *rushes to go find someone thays down* third person down, killer backpedals to see you pickup the first one downs them again then mowed you down game over. End of round. Period. All your fault apparently cuz u didnt all have empathy. The amount of times solo que survives a 4 man slugfest with knockout is verrrrry low.
"The amount of times solo queue survives a 4 man slugfest with knockout is verrrrry low."
Surprisingly, I won a solo queue match of Knock Out today. They DC'd before everyone was about to escape. But yes, it's extremely rare.

Slugging is a valid playstyle, but i agree that Knockout is punishing SoloQ, while it have little to no effect on SWFs, and in that regard i think it needs a change
Slugging to an extent is fine. I get that. But STRICTLY slugging is the problem. Like no hooking. And Knock Out promotes that.

As a survivor main I couldn’t care less about bloodpoints. I’m sitting in about 4.6 million of them at the moment. There are far more pressing things to do to improve the health of the game.
True, but tweaking a few numbers wouldn't be a bad thing.

I think the point of so many brown addons is that it drains your BP, so you have to keep playing the game. But I also see how people would get annoyed by that. What if there was a lottery system where you sacrifice 2 addons of one color, and then get to choose 1 of 3 random addons one color higher? That way you put those addons to some use without messing with the bloodpoint system?
Idk I personally don't see an issue with just being able to turn them into bps.

I think it could be nice although I imagine it would give you less bp than it cost
Which would be fine, they don't present any value.

Disable character switching at all honestly. The killers locked in, so should the survivors.

Yeah I heard people have the same kind of issue with Doctor/Clown. Effects that make it absolutely miserable to play. It took them many years to even add something like a heartbeat icon for people with bad hearing, so something like this would probably be very low on their list (if at all).
I would just disconnect if you can't handle it. That's what most do.

Can you expand on why you feel this way? Survivors don't get to see anything on the killer side, why is it fair that killers can pick and choose which lobbies they play based off a literal infinite amount of more information than survivors receive?
I didn't even make the post about that, the main reason was because there's many killers that treat high prestiges differently than lower prestiges. Getting tunneled out just because you're playing your favorite character is just BS.

This is exactly the reason it should be removed. It also makes matchmaking worse since the lobby now has to back-fill. Personally I think the lobby should be scrapped altogether. You queue then get matched and load straight into the game. Seeing items/survivors/prestige/steam profiles shouldn't be available pre-trial since it only gives the killer a reason to dodge. You were matched for a reason. Lobby shopping needs to go.
Not even dodge, it just gives the killer unnecessary information. "Oh, this play has 4000 hours? I now know that they're probably gonna be a problem and I should stay away from them."
"Oh, 4 items? Time for franklins!"
"Oh, flashlights? Lightborn it is!"
It's just stupid. It's not like survivors can see the killers profile, so why give the killer information for no reason? Even if you can hide this stuff, I shouldn't have to.

I would resume your initial thoughts once she gets ironed out my friend. She has potential to be an amazing killer, the developers will iron her out to her strong and suitable for the game.
Of course, nobody is asking for an overpowered killer, but most people don’t even wanna play killer to begin with because the stress it already entails coming from a killer main, but somebody has to load into these lobbies
Yeah that's probably what I'm going to wait for, when she's in a good state. I am expecting another rework this mid-chapter, but who knows. They may even revert the changes that they made for the final PTB changes. She was well received for the most part, even OnePumpWillie liked her changes.
Don't know what "feedback" they were going off of, but I don't think anyone asked for these nerfs.

A lot people pointed those things:
- There is no risk with holding tapes.
- Survivors can remove stacks on your face and you can't do anything because of hit animation is longer than tape animations.
- Many people pointed her irri add-on is weak because survivors can remove her power easily and she can't build stacks to punish them. Her irri add-on can make her powerless.
But what we got? Nerfs. I really don't know how to feel, it's just big disappointed.
I am not against nerfs, if there is some issues, i am fine with fix it. But why you are making PTB if you are gonna ignore the things we pointed?
As someone who really wants to play her, this is extremely disappointing. I've wanted to play her for a while now, but after his constant changes I just don't want to dig into that pile o' beans. I thought maybe after this PTB I might watch a guide or two to get into her finally, but now that everyones saying she's extremely weak, I don't know if I want to even try...
I'll just stick to good ol' bubs.

So instead of kill-rates , i will take your words?
No offense but nah. On all MMR levels, kill rates are higher than escape rates. High level included. If you have proofs about this game favors survivors, i am ready to listen.
You can't say any side is favored in this game. There's far too many different factors, which all change match to match.
You can get a blight with full meta running against solo queue survivors without items running off-meta, and then in that case it's killer sided.
But then you can have a match against a Trapper with 1 slowdown, but against a 4 man swf with 4 bnps with adren, dh/sprint burst, bond and windows, and then it's survivor sided.
It all depends on who decides to play more sweaty, which is impossible to tell before the match has started, except for the rare occasion where the killer sees 4 p100s with 4 toolboxes/medkits.
And even if you pair a 10000 hour nurse main against 4 survivors with 4 bnps, the best perks possible, then there's rng that comes into play. Which map did you get? Where did gens spawn? Is there a 3 gen? Where did the survivors spawn?
Arguing over which side this game favors is such a ridiculous argument, and it's entirely pointless.

These are my suggestions to improve the Onryo's UI elements:
Make it so when survivors gain a stack of condemned, their ring flashes a different color. Make the holding a tape indicator a different color as well. Since hooking now locks in stacks, it would be nice if the UI can tell us what survivors are worth hooking. I'm not asking to see the survivors' stacks. Just a generic indicator that lets the Onryo know that a survivor has passed a threshold of new stacks that can be locked in. I'm thinking it should show up when a survivor has 2 or more stacks not locked in.
Yeah, like if they're closer to being condemn make the ring go from white to orange to red over the stacks.

I promise you it's probably not subtle cheaters.
And even if they are, who cares? There's nothing you can do about it, so there's no use getting worked up over it.
Yeah it's very hard to tell if someone is cheating in this game unless they're blatantly doing it. You'd have to rewatch the game in order to see if there was anything odd. Most of the time you can see if they start increasing their speed over time, or if you chase them for a while and you're not closing any distance. Sometimes they'll do a big fall and not have any fall stun, sometimes their adrenaline will last too long, sometimes it could be something like using a perk that they don't have equipped.
If they're just using a speed cheat to go a little bit faster, then there's no way to really tell; you're right.

It’s the same bug. Victor crashes into invisible walls if he tries to jump over a pallet, or if he tries to jump off any sort of high ledge. I’ve personally experienced both of these.
I’ve also heard he has issues jumping if another object is too close to him. I didn’t bother checking that, because honestly the 1st two issues I confirmed are bad enough that I refuse to play him anymore. The Twins streamers won’t play him anymore either.
Yeah in one of SpooknJukes videos he played Twins recently and he would be against a wall facing outwards towards a survivor and jump with Victor, then wouldn't move and the game would act like he hit the wall behind him. It caused him to rage quit lmao
And yeah I've also seen how Lynxi stopped playing Twins. She uploaded a video yesterday of her playing them, but she stopped soon afterwards because they're too much of a headache to play.

1) The skin has ragdoll physics if the killer moves the camera quickly. It also covers more or less of the screen, depending on how high or low the camera is facing.
2) Your screenshot still has the skin covering like 20% of the screen? Really? You think that's fine? Would it be fine if BHVR caused injured survivors to have 20% of their screen covered in blood?
Yeah me personally, I don't see a problem... I guess I wouldn't be against reducing the size, but it's definitely not a big problem to me. It's not like I can't see what's happening, tbh you're the first person that I've seen complain about something like this.
I just really don't like your idea of completely removing the weapon from the screen entirely. That is what I don't like.

You don't think BHVR should at least make some of the weapons smaller, or force weapons to be closer to the edge of the screen? You think the below pictures are acceptable?
That looks like an issue with that Dredge skin. I went in and tested this on my own, and it's really not that bad. Not sure why yours looks so bad.
I don't see this as too much of an issue tbh.

I have enjoyed the limited interactions via animations which have led to some clever methods of communication. That being said it could be fun to gain more specialized animations, even some character specific ones. This could be used for like “heal me” or other simple fun ones. Then character specific ones could be gained and performed for fun. This is something I would be interested in at least.
Does anyone else feel like this would be a fun and easy to implement addition?
Yeah dbd mobile has a very cool way of communicating, they have text lines that you can do, they have different emotes, emoticons, etc.
I don't think anyone would mind if bhvr took that and put it into the live game.

Every Survivor starts off unique from the others. They each have 3 special perks. However, as players level up, Survivors become functionally indistinct from one another. Currently, all of my Survivors have access to the same perks. The only difference between them is purely cosmetic (excluding Bill and his louder-than-average smoker's cough).
Compare this with Killers, who (rightfully) have unlockable add-ons in the bloodweb which enhance or alter their abilities, allowing variations in strategy and game-play.
I think it would make Survivor game-play more interesting if every Survivor had (even one) unique add-on in their bloodweb, which enhanced or altered their original perk set.
This could be done in the same +1/-1 fashion as many Killer add-ons (eg. increase the range of Mikaela's boons, but also increase the time is takes to bless totems).
This strikes me as a great way to add variety to the game and also allow Survivor's to retain their unique character traits.
This would 100% make the game more interesting and would make it easier for me to find a main lol
I completely and entirely agree with this idea.

I was playing deathslinger and avoiding tunnelling as much as possible but would still go for the person who unhooked if they did it mid chase or before I could leave the hook. Every time without fail a premade squad would abuse bt to prevent the hit with no counter. It's a common tactic many survivors abuse with no counter and rewards terrible decisions. A simple fix would be to remove collision during the time as it's not working as intended.
Well in this case, tunnel the survivor. Every day of the week. BT is supposed to be used as a crutch to help with a tunneling killer, it's not supposed to be used to take hits for your teammates. If the survivors complain about you tunneling after that, then boohoo. I almost NEVER take hits for my teammates after unhooking unless they farm me and are injured, and if I go down after protecting my teammate I definitely don't get mad over it. That was my choice, the killer just reacted accordingly.

That's my issue with all of this, the constant goal post moving. Survivors complain about this, and BHVR reacts with oh they must change that. Now they complain about that, BHVR quickly hops on board to nerf that too. Now complaints about something else, you bet that's getting nerfed, now.
Now killers have a long line of rules of what they are and are not allowed to do. Can't hit people off hook, no sir. Nope, you're not allowed to grab people doing an unsafe hook, nope! No, you can't stack slow regression perks on a gen that merely needed to be tapped to counter - you're so silly! No, killer, you're not allowed to be at a hook, now you have to go stand way over there. Nope, you're not allowed to kick this gen more than 8 times - are you crazy? Eruption? Don't be silly, now you can't use it more than 4 times on a gen! Now you must just watch that gen get more and more progress and there is NOTHING you're allowed to do to change that despite being right there in front of you with no survivors around.
Next up, it'll be proxy camping that "must be fixed" followed by being able to block gens from being worked on. Eventually, all that's left is to have killers standing in a corner waiting for the survivors to sign a consent form to be able to even be attacked.
Can't wait for entitled survivors to complain about Billy and for them to nerf him to the ground again. Soon it'll feel like he never received a rework in the first place, although I hope BHVR proves me wrong.

On another note, I'm saddened by the fact that pre-endgame you can have two survivors on hooks in the same room, but you CAN'T camp them because of anti-camp. 😥 *sad Bubba noises* 😢
You definitely can. Just mow em both down when they unhook!
-
I haven't personally tried out the FoV slider, I just wasn't interested, but I don't think it's the "bare minimum". They could've just not done anything and kept it exactly the same.
And the last part is really not a good idea imo... Sure some of the killers weapons are big, but like, the screen would be bare if they just removed them entirely. I really dislike that idea.

@bazarama said:
Why on earth did the devs decide to punish killers for doing their objective regarding hooking survivors?
Survivor dies on hook and hook is gone(apart from basement). Why?
Isn't that the whole point of the game, hooking survivors?
I've had a few games recently where hook Is disabled following a kill and a dead zone is created that survivors constantly run into especially if running boil over. It left me no option but to slug and bleed out which sucks for me and survivors. I don't want to play this way.
It's like killing someone in a shooting game and your gun is disabled because you did what you're supposed to do.
You make a good point, but at the same time they're like that to give the killer another thing to manage.
Next time just make sure to avoid creating a deadzone.
And I must say that your issue is a unique issue, very rarely does that happen. And if it happens, it happens. That's on the survivors. You just played accordingly.

I still think depipping shouldn't be a thing. You can't do anything about it if you get tunneled out since you won't get anything but boldness as survivor and you are not only losing the game (which is fine, who cares), you're also going to lose progress and you literally could do 0 things about it.
Yeah I guess you're right... Idk I just think because you can't derank out of certain ranks, it doesn't matter, but I guess yeah getting tunneled out is the issue. There's an idea going around in the suggestion thread that survivors that are tunneled out should get a bloodpoint bonus, which then would prevent getting tunneled from losing pips at all.

- developers designed the game without any mean of communication between survivors aside from 2 emotes
- developers added a lot of perks to get aura info about mates and some about killer
- every online game considers 3rd party apps cheating
but that wasn't my question, which is how do you (if any has) counter that kind of situation?
Yes but no game has ever banned a player for using discord to talk to their friends.
Aura perks are more useful than any communication can be. I still run bond when I play with 3 of my friends.
"Every online game considers 3rd party apps cheating" then why aren't people getting banned for using discord/teamspeak do you think?
But play the best you can... There's no way to counter it. But that doesn't really matter, because most killers don't really get that hurt over communication. And with DbD adding the icons beside player portraits in game to tell you what your team is doing, I don't think they dislike the idea of communication.
And you never answered my question, did you come off of a lose streak? 99% of the time a post like this is due to someone looking for an excuse to why they got destroyed.
-
I would say Midwich and The Game definitely, and I would probably say Treatment Theatre for the third one. Probably the 3 smallest maps if I were to guess.

Because as survivor, losing hurts much more than it does on killer I find. When you die, you lost. You can't die as killer. You can just not do very well lol
That's probably a lot of it tbh
-
Playing in a VC with your friends is not "cheating"... I'm assuming you've just come off of a lose streak right?
In that case, just chill out, go play something else. Don't go searching for an excuse to make yourself feel better, because I can almost guarantee you that there was something you could've done better in every game you lost.

@ChrissyG88 said:
I normally play killer, but when I do play survivor in solo queue, it seems at east one survivor purposely kills themselves on hook at least once every 5 games, and I even notice this to a lesser degree wen I'm playing as killer. This obviously means the game becomes at least 95% killer sided.
The truth is, the mechanics which allow the survivor to kill themselves are so unnecessary in the first place, and do not add much (if any) value to the game.
1st hook stage
The ability to try for a 4% should be removed from general gameplay. Perhaps if every other survivor is either on hook, in the dying state, being carried, or dead, then perhaps the 4% unhooking chance could activate then. But at any other stage, it is so unnecessary.
2nd hook stage
The skill checks are so easy to hit that you can only really miss them if you deliberately miss them (maybe the last few are slightly tricky for beginners). But being that easy, it doesn't seem necessary, especially as 2 of these missed skill checks result in instant death.
Survivors on hook should just be made to wait it out until they are saved. And if the survivor wants to leave the game, they should just quit and let a bot take over.
I do understand that if there are two survivors are left and one is on hook, the hooked survivor might want to kill themselves quickly to allow the survivor being chased to get hatch, so in the instance where there are only 2 survivors left, the hooked survivor can choose to just kill themselves to help the chased survivor.
Honestly there's nothing in place to prevent someone from leaving the game, you add something like this and they'll just run to the killer and die that way. If that won't work, then they'll go down griefing and sandbagging their team.
I wish that there was some form of reputation system in this game, where you can upvote/downvote certain players in a match and depending on their reputation they get put into lobbies accordingly. Not sure how well that would work with this community tho lol :P

@adaw0ng said:
This was mentioned to be a thing the devs are looking into but as always is pretty hard and confusing to figure out when will we see anything regarding the topic. So...?
I think that it should stay a thing, but they should make pipping up easier, because in higher ranks it is far too difficult to rank up.

i find it utterly ridiculous that i just came back from a 2 day dc ban and now have got a 3 day one, im a paying customer/player of dbd but i can’t play it due to the servers being all over the place
i would love a dc timer cap of 30 mins at least, as it will put new players/veterans players off from playing a game that punishes you for something you cannot control unless you manually disconnect, this has really itched at me for months and shocked this hasn’t been addressed yet, people shouldn’t have to feel like it’s their own fault for like i said before something they cannot control unless they are having internet issues or actual game issues
i would love if this was addressed bhvr no other game punishes you this harshly for dc’ing as they want players to keep playing and enjoy what they have paid for and it feels like a waste of money not being able to play a game i mainly play
Have you contacted support over this issue? Tell them that you keep receiving bans because of their servers?
I know you'll probably just get sent internet troubleshooting steps, but you might as well give it a try.
That's a ridiculously long ban, I've never received a ban even close to that long.

I don't even want anymore licensed chapters tbh, I want a full year of just original characters. I would love some kind of animal type killer, like a giant frog or something would be cool. We've been spoiled with licensed characters, and I'm kinda finished with them personally.
I would rather just a bunch of original characters, let BHVR's creativity come out.

You're working on the assumption that I'm taking sides here, rather than just pointing out the flawed logic behind the requests. Just because you play the Them Vs. Us game doesn't mean everyone else does as well. I don't care whether someone is a Survivor main or a Killer main; a good idea is a good idea and a bad idea is a bad idea. The OP is a classic example of a bad idea.
