It doesn’t make it unfair that a survivor 4% without any perks, that survivor took a chance and it paid off.
Yeah of course its unfair, its 4% each attempt, 3 attempts. And you have 0 risk trying to unhook basically because when you try to unhook is when you are the last survivor alive, the rest of survivors are hooked or slugged, or if you want to suicide on hook

4% each attempt
You wouldnt believe how often it happens if you arent killer main, but in 1 out of 3 games there is usually one unhook. It is true that 99% of the unhooks are when is the last survivor and you just camp him until he unhooks, but if you manage to down 2 or more survivors, even 4, the unhook is an absolute unfair pain.

They are going to be Charms, i dont know how you dont imagine it, its Behaviour, xD
BloodPoints? Maybe, but i wouldnt expect more than 300k, again, its behaviour, you need 32,328,000 BP on average to get all perks level 3 with all killers, and if you want all killers and survs with maxed abilities (without making prestige to anyone) you will need 400,000,000 BP average. Now think that when they do some EPIC event maybe they give you 500k bp max
So expect a charm and a pat on the back

Hmm, all justified requests to me.
Well i assume that if you agree with nerf petitions you at least also play killer and you play some games with those perks/killers/gameplay and you dont have an opinion without even having played the other side

Requests to nerf “already useless killers and perks”.
First forum page: Noed nerf, trickster nerf, camping and tunneling nerf, leatherface nerf.

Provide one recent example, otherwise you’re just blowing smoke.
Recent example of?
An ongoing analysis of Steam's player numbers, seeing what's been played the most.Right now there are 40k players. Its the lowest player count since 2019

Ah yes... and what about killer mains? Who win most of their games, but complain cause they lose some... and can't accept it since they always have to 4k.
Man, this problem is way too far to even be about wining or losing. For me personally is about gameplay. Since sbmm i stopped playing killer because im bored of having to play incredibly tryhard in all games, having to proxy camp or tunnel if i want to win without nurse or blight. It is just not enjoyable at all. However, playing survivor is fun because you know, there are 3 other guys on your side and everything is incredibly more "chill". As surv some games are going to suck (getting face camped) but at least im not going to get bald in 2 months due to stress. You just need to watch steam charts and queue times. Killer mains are switching to surv and ocassionally play some games as killer or some of them are just leaving the game. If you cant see it i dont know, maybe im the one living in another dimension but i think the charts and queue times speaks for themselves.
-
Imagine being able to listen to music while playing killer without meaning lose the game lol

No. Just.... no. The problem isn't SWF, it's competency. I recommend you play solo survivor, run bond with open handed and just watch your team. they just stand there... like statues. Only moving when somebody is hooked, and then they book it across the map for a save. After getting hit, they run to the across the map to the corner and start self caring. No amount of information I could have would make it playable. I apologise if killers feel frustrated when they verse people actually playing the game, but I shouldn't be punished because I don't want to have to run the killer for 2 minutes each chase just to stand a chance.
Man im literally saying i dont find this fix the right one due to the fact it will affect mostly the solo players while the real problem, the swf would not be that affected. Since SBMM i play a lot of survivor and i play it only soloq. Yes the boon totems are VERY strong even being solo if you know what you are doing but it biggest problem is when used as a team so i would nerf it in that direction
-
@Nos37 said:
I give up then.
It is IMPOSSIBLE to balance for THREE sides.
SWF and Solo need to have the same information
SWF needs some type of nerf. All the balance issues the game has comes from swf
Gen speed
Perks
Map offerings
Boons
Items
All this things are a problem due to SWF
-
I kinda like the idea but this would affect mostly solo-queue players, and imo the problem with boons are the swf's and placing various boons over the map/knowing all as a team where dull totems are exaclty, so i dont think it would be the best fix since as i said, this would affect mostly solo-queue players since they would have to be looking for every totem while swf's could still tell their teammates where are dull totems that havent been blessed and snuffed previously

the people you don't like facing on ranked are gonna...just also play casual lmao
Oh no, an apparently guy who only played dbd in his all gaming life. Because we all know no game ever has a casual + a competitive game mode, and because obviously casual mode means totally random matchmaking, like in league of legends for example, that you can totally face a challenger being yourself level 16 in casual games
-
@YOURFRIEND said:
Because absolutely no one would play the competitive mode without some very very good incentives.
Iridiscent shards instead of the pathetic 250k bp. Problem solved.
Oh no, a way to reduce the insane grind for free skins/characters, forget this immediatly

I'd rather die of bleeding than give the hook to this tunnel
SO WHAT DO DS ON EACH HOOK
btw they already told you, if your ds deactivates and you think you are getting tunneled, you shouldt be able to repair, heal etc if you are being tunneled, if you repair or heal in killers face its not tunneling, what do you expect if you are the one closer to him, injured and without ds? Do you expect the killer to look at you and leave you there? I honestly dont get it
-
The people asking of removing the cooldown on ds to avoid slugging, do you understand that without the timer you would be slugged until you die from bleedout?
-
Add it too for killers when we match people that dont want to see you only repair
-
I facecamp flashlights click spam survs since first hook until they die
0 regrets, not ashamed at all
Oh also if they were really annoying and they are the last one alive in the match, i go to grab something to eat or drink while they bleedout on the floor
-
It is simple, anyone who says that dh validation is fair is people that never plays killer. Ofc it was frustrating to see the exhaustion icon while being on the ground, seeing that dead hard failed; we all agree that it needed to be fixed, but making the killer hit, get the hit animation "stunt", getting the screen filled with blood, hear the survivor screaming and then seeing the survivor running at 10 meters from you is absolutely NOT the solution
-
Literally all the killers that you see without -rep camper -rep tunneler -rep noob are because they delete the comments. You would be scared of every match because every killer would be filled with dozens and dozens of steam comments of -rep, and i insist, if they dont have them is because profile is private or because they delete them
-
@InnCognito said:
The list goes on and on For game balance. I don't really like streaming this game anymore for MANY reasons. Campers being one of them.
Somehow, there is no peace to be discussed when it comes to this game and changes because Ranks are different and how players handle the game completely seam to be different.
Today, High rank gameplay is about staying in chases with the killer. Early access gameplay was about hiding from the killer.
I am struggling to find this as a horror game at this point because anything about hiding is heavily punished.
This game stopped being an horror game since the first 2 months

@Yords said:
I mean what is the point when someone can DC once they get into the game?
Its not the same facing a map randomly than facing a map with 4 offerings from a swf prepared to play in that map
With this i mean, when i play a map that has been spawned randomly, i play the game, when i see 4 offerings of the same map, i leave the game
-
I have a different suggestion: Delete map offerings
-
I dont think its op, yeah it feels unfair when it happens to you but its one perk slot for an item you can take back.
However i totally agree about the offering, didnt knew that and it shouldnt happen imo

It does feel like a double edged sword though. Lets take DH for instance, Survivors will bend into origami swans to try and tell killers that it’s not over powered but killers will do the same thing to tell Survivors that it is.
I feel like Behavior really wants the two sides to fight more. I remember back when the meta was self healing after pallet drops. Seeing a survivor (Usually Claudette) do that actually conditioned me to Tunnel Claudettes as fast as possible. Maybe the Devs want that feeling back? Actually hate for the other player?
Yeah i understand this and thats why i said that its impossible to not be any biased to one role, but one thing is for example thinking that DH needs a nerf or a bug playing with it and against it and another complete different thing is telling it should be nerfed/buffed if you only played with or against it
-
I think the better way would be having an animation time for flashlight and crouching, like when you crouch of turn off flashlight, it takes like 1 or 2 seconds to be able to do it again, which also wouldnt be any nerf for survs because you are not going to spam a flashlight or spam crouching in a real in-game mechanic situation or something, its only objective in any situation is just to be toxic

That's not the license I was referring to. I meant the leatherface license to have those cosmetics for him
Oh my bad, but then i doubt that would be a problem since we already have some faces, and i remember hearing in a interview with a bhvr staff something like Texas Chainsaw massacre was one of the licenses that gave bhvr less problems and restrictions.
Not sure about this last sentence tho, im making memory and i think that was the saw one
-
@[Deleted User] said:
I'd be down with more faces, but I think it might be a licensing issue.
I forgot I was running Megs face, and it freaked me out when I spawned with it.
Yeah but there are a lot of non licensed survs that would be nice to have their faces, david king, ace visconti, feng min, kate denson, jeff johansen, mikaela reid... Just imagine having those faces or some of them, it would be amazing

I've actually had quite a few people telling me that they've changed their "meta" for playing, which I think is a great thing.
Well yeah having strong new perks is good, but i personally think it would be even better to have all the perks kinda more balanced so we dont have 3 meta builds in each patch, better to have you know dozens of viable builds since we have like 185 perks which like 20 of them are actually viable
-
@FellowKillerMain said:
You might want to post this in general discussion, because the people that would benefit from this don't post or read much on the feedback forum.
idk like 80% of things i read here are people asking for totally crazy things, which defiently means they only play one side or they have few hours. Im not talking about bait posts, im talking about totally serious posts demanding totally crazy things

If the killer respects ALL the pallets its either because he is bad or you are bad. If you are looping correctly, the killer will be forced to: try to guess you are going to drop the pallet; risk a hit. There you have 2 options: Try to predict if he is going to hit or if he is going to respect it. If he respects pallets all time, simply dont drop it and he will literally never hit you, so yeah, in that case you are not going to stunt him, but you are going to loop him for the whole game without even dropping the pallet. So obviously in this case one of you are doing things bad
Also if killer is respecting all pallets it can be due for 2 reasons: Instead of looping you are insta dropping/camping pallets; he by default respects all pallets, which is good for you because you can loop him for a very long time baiting pallet drops
-

Every argument for "casual mode" is precisely the point of MMR.
So that casual players arent matched up with sweaty players and noobstomped constantly.
Again this, it looks like dbd is the only videogame you played, literally all the games have a casual gamemode and this doesnt happen
@Clevite said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2602970#Comment_2602970
We aren't. We could easily play more casual and not sweat the results.
Many just prefer to get 4 out or 4k as a win.
Well when you have a somewhat "good" mmr if you dont tryhard you lose, why? Because your 4 opponents are tryharding, so if you dont sweat its guaranteed that everyone is going to escape, so basically you are letting them win to reduce your mmr, which again, is a horrible game design
-
High MMR killers are drastically leaving but on the surv side its more or less the same, sbmm actually makes the surv gameplay more enjoyable and fair but for killer is frustrating

Considering nobody knows their mmr I find arguments centered around this pretty pointless.
Yes, a medkit has limited heals. Realistically though how many times will you heal in a match? 2 to 3 at most I'd say typically.
Somebody has to spend at least 14 seconds to bless a totem. Assuming the totem stays up, which it usually didn't in my experience. Add to this you often had to run across the map to make use of said totem.
Meanwhile a purple medkit with gel dressing and scissors would give me 3 heals at a faster rate. I can even use perks to add both speed and extra heals if I want.
In short, medkits are much more efficient and practical. Boons have higher potential value, but come with sufficient drawbacks to not be worth running in my opinion.
Dude with the boon totem i heal on average now like 6 or 7 times per game because i do a LOT of protection hits now, knowing that i have a literal infinite healing source which heals pretty fast

bro please stop trying to nerf killers that are just alright I promise you that you are not actually facing good survivors if your ruin and undying isn't gone in the first 10 mins no offense it's just facts
10 mins? Thats whole game lol, my ruin and undying lasts max 1 min, or if i protect them, 3 gens are popped while i protect the totems

How are you forced? Just stop looking at your grades (rank)
Sometimes you will run into sweaty opponents, sometimes you dont, thats a sheer luck that cannot be controlled with other queue type
No, that was the game before sbmm, now every game is sweaty, every one. Not forced to play competitive? Oh then the solution is to let them win and lose intentionally? Because if my opponents are tryharding and i dont tryhard, i lose, so it would be losing intentionally. What a nice game design in that case
-
Cool and fun for surv, extremely annoying for killer against SWF.
Healing one is overpowered tho

The game is designed to be a casual party game.
It was us , you,, me, the Royal We, that turned this game into , well less than casual.
And quite possibly, started at the first teabag.
Then if it was designed to be a casual party game why are we forced to play in a competitive way?
-
@Kumakx said:
what does adding casual mode achieve? The SWEATIEST killers will go there to get easy 4k. The SWEATIEST survivors will go there, to loop killer for 20 gens. Seriously. Just because its called casual mode, doesnt mean players there will play casually.
Man you are talking like adding a casual mode would be something first time done to a videogame xd DBD is literally the only game without casual mode, and ofc casual mode doesnt mean random matchmaking, casual mode would mean something like the old system, in which actually there is some kind of mmr but its not as close as yours, like literally all the games do. By what you said, in League of Legends in normal games is totally normal to find games with challengers vs levels 5 or something
-
I would add a special "tool" like a wrench that survivors must find in the map and take it to be able to start repairing gens, so they have more objectives and the start of the game lasts more than 20 seconds. Genrush is the game biggest problem imo but adding more gens or increasing the repair time would make it even more boring for survs, so i think adding a new objective like i said could be a good way. Also definetly SOMETHING must be changed for swf, they break the game balance completely, being able to be permanent repairing at least 2 guys while other distracts you and the other can be blessing, breaking your ruin or repairing too, its just too hard to deal because ANYONE is losing time at ANY time
-
The fact that the game was worse years ago doesnt mean its not in a bad situation right now. Yeah, the game at high mmr isnt worth playing rn
-
Just stop hiding for 10 minutes in a locker waiting for the guy to bleedout to try to catch hatch

"kill the killer for 1 second" Damned useful ! Use a flashlight stun instead...
Amazing reference btw... Have you more 'great' suggestions ?
You didnt got it!! It means that in a time frame of 1 seconds you can shoot and kill the killer, ending the game because you know, its dead 🥰
-
@Knotty1985 said:
It's pretty simple.. it's a used up perk slot with no guarantee of finding a totem easily.
I've played numerous matches where I haven't been able to setup a shadow step totem because they were so hard to find and other players without boon perks were cleansing dull totems.
Well when you have played a right amount of hours you know all totem's possible spawns in each map, which makes you find totems in seconds
-
Welcome to the killer world!!! 😍😍😍 dont worry, as survs say the mmr is something totally fine that makes the game better 🥰🥰🥰 going all games against swf with 2k and 3k hours having yourself 400 is incredibly fun!!! 😊😊😊 just think about it 💡🤔 you dont need to go to the gym!!! 🏋️♂️🏋️♂️🏋️♂️ you will sweat and burn calories while playing at home!! 👌👌👌
