In your opinion, who is stronger between The Judgment and Jason?
I hope "The Judgment" doesn't get nerfed like Jason just because of complaints.

Jason overall most likely he seems to be a consistent killer who is good at a lot of situations whereas Judgment is more niche with clear strengths and weaknesses. Power Consistency and versatility will always trump power ceiling but I think Judgments niche will give them longevity.
Time will have to tell, as powerful killers like First have just disappeared. I am personally excited about the Judgment but I feel people won't like a change in how killers approach kills with them
judgement is the first actual long range killer in the game so it remains to be seen how well it'll work in live
I would say Huntress and Artist are.
If Judgement is in any way viable, there will be complaints.
Jason on the average player, Judgement when it's between skilled players that main each killer. Jason is infinitely easier to learn and play, and will be a lot more consistently strong. Judgement needs a lot of practice, but I think on a skilled player will be way stronger than Jason. it's just an issue of there will probably be a lot less good Judgement mains than Jason mains
huntress' actual effective range isn't much longer than a tile outside of not-really-practical trickshots and very situational setups, spirit has to commit to her attacks so i'd personally group her as mobility other than range
judgement is the first killer that can seriously apply pressure from a range greater than 2 tiles without having to actually commit to it
Ppl claiming Jason was nerfed because his addons got tweeked, which includes some nerfs and some buffs will never not make me eye roll.
Spirit was a huge typo. I edited to artist. My brain is fried…sorry.
"Nerfed like jason"?
You mean have a couple of addons tweaked? And have his ability to camp hooks improved?
Jason didn't receive a meaningful nerf, certainly not in the way he should've been nerfed. Literally all they did was reign in a couple of his more busted addons. Barely.
And they removed the return to hook slowdown when coming out of omnipresent even if he's vertically above or below the hook. So they actually slightlybuffed his ability to camp hooks. Especially basement hook.
Complaints were and still are valid. Jason is a very overpowered and easy to use killer. Strongest single ranged attack in the game, spammable fast traversal with free info and strongest set of add ons I've ever seen. He could do with some proper balancing to make him fair to go against.
I would say that the judgement will likely end up right next to The First. Their lethality and snowball potential is high, but only in the right hands.
While jason will resume being much easier for people to pickup and get results with.
I feel the Judgement will be much stronger… but will require far more skill to play and an insane amount to master, while Jason is a quite simple and straightforward killer. So I expect Jason to have higher kill rates, at least in broad MMR. But I don't know, let's see what changes the devs are going to make to the Judgement when it actually goes live.
Assuming Judgement releases at full strength, isn't nerfed, and the upcoming midchapter doesn't heavily shake up the meta? They're going to be on extreme opposite ends of A tier pretty reliably I'd say. Judgement is definitely going to be very, very strong in capable hands, and she directly counters a lot of the strongest tools survivors have access to.
Given she denies perks like STB and Resurgence while also having one of the easiest ways of forcing HyperStakeout users to drop the gen for a second or two, plus the passive slowdown from the heresy mechanic, she has a lot of strengths besides just the strong hits. Even with just the beam, I suspect we're going to see a Billy situation of characters with a decently high skill floor that are just straight up THAT good once you're solid with them.
They are strong for long distance but their main strenght is medium to close distance actualy but juddgement is good mostly for long shots and at clsoe range he sucks a lot.
Huntress needs clear shot and be very accurate for long shot or hit orbital which isnt easy, artist needs to get 2 hits and one locker can denny it compleatly, judgement injures instantly and has bit less range I believe but when empowered he is totaly more bigger threat from long distance like artist gives you another chance because she must hit her seconds hit to cause damage and huntress needs either know how to get orbital or have clear LoS which is not so consistent especialy in current stat of the game.
So in my opinion hudgement is stronger for longer distance. She is total bum in close range while artist can injure with crows directly and can totaly destroy loops with them and huntress can double tap kinda plus its easier to get hit (not to mention for very long shot thats not orbital you need either lot of skill or jsut crosshair on screen to get that hit).
Judgement for sure, she has potential to be a top 3 killer in the game in her current state.
Im really wondering how bad ppl are doing with him to be dragging his average killrate down. I look at my own KR and Im just like "surely im not some Jason savant".
Well she doesnt hook she just snipes with her power and then sends them into the another realm, but I dont think there will be such dislike because even now she is viable on average player levev like for only smaller half of the community and many people wont even play her because of how hard she is.
No literally, I think he's pretty well-balanced after 2ish months of him being ingame but the guy was never technically "nerfed", just had his incredibly strong (and broken) addons adjusted.
Im wondering how many ppl are fumbling hard as him then if his average killrate is around the sweet spot. I legit have over a 90% killrate as him in my stats from the last 30 days, mostly just because I dont make it a habit to slug for the 4k. Im pretty good at bouncing around to apply pressure, but I dont think im top tier. Maybe Im wrong and Im just a savant, lol.
You're talking about Jason like he's release Kaneki/Krasue. He's strong but by no stretch of the imagination unbeatable, most of his bustedness can be derived from those add-ons which WERE too strong and too free (Badge and Sauna Ronk) but those have both been properly tuned down, although a badge rework isn't a bad idea, as well as the Thrill-Penti Hex Build that everyone runs.
Base-kit Jason with normal addons and a normal perk build is just a more mobile Afton with an objectively strong projectile that is still 100% dodgeable and reactable. I am going to get dogpiled for having an opinion that doesn't encourage this belief that Jason is busted but I truly stand by it. At most, nerf his ability to lodge a hook spike in a Surv that just got off hook to prevent tunnelling but other than that, man is fine.
Am I just an outlier? Is this just a case where I found the killer I mesh with the best? Im pretty sure if anything, the upcoming perk changes might end up BUFFING my setup if anything. A spies buff would be cool. What does his average stats look like?
I think you just genuinely found a Killer you vibe with heavily. The entire Jason gameplay loop is immensely satisfying and it's no lie that he is super easy to pick up and get results with, but he's definitely one of the only killers I've played since I started in 2016 that feels sooooooooo good across pretty much every aspect of the Trial. But is he unbeatable? No, I've gotten my teeth kicked in by smart survs who read my Spikes correctly and deny me jumpscare value and know how to punish me dropping chase. He's not overpowered, he's strong, which is a wholly different thing.
He feels like the first killer that has no bad map. If I get Lery's or Hawkins as Huntress, I cringe as soon as i load in. I never have that with him. I usually stick with killers like Dredge instead of Blight who focus on the macro-game, but with him... I've been playing him on controller and I'll be getting even deadlier with those spears since I got a PC last weekend, lol.
This is really interesting! I hope you don't mind me interrogating you a bit for my own curiosity, but given you've had a solid playtime and a really high kill rate I'd like to ask, what kind of survivor behaviour (insert obvious joke here) have you seen from your perspective as the Jason in these matches? Both on the micro and macro level, I mean. Like, as an extreme example, are people still running into pallets and windows during OE from your end?
I usually dont use OE to CHASE ppl, so the ones I pop out at dont know they're chosen. Even the ones that are TRYING to stealth me by crouching the OE arnt safe since Im constantly using info I get from Spies, sleeping bag and Surge to find my next target. That COULD be after a hook, or I might just swap targets rapidly to apply pressure. I spend very little time patrolling in OE unless its endgame for finding hatch and patrolling the gates after.
Fair enough! Thanks for the answer as far as that goes. I'd want to ask so many questions but I know that'd be a bit of a nuisance, but the response to Jason specifically has interested me more than most other new killers in recent memory. I play mostly solo queue survivor at this point, and even when I played more killer it wasn't Jason too often, so a lot of the things I NOTICE people struggling with are like, the usual bad macro decisions (running killers back to hook, dying in a bad spot, unhooking too soon, healing under hook at bad times especially without Resurgence, not resetting, 3 genning on accident, that sort of thing), but thats because I can't really pay attention to the minute details of peoples chase.
I've also had a very different experience with Jasons in my own matches as far as my perspective on their power level, and people rarely tend to talk about specifics either on the forums or in aftergame chat, so its hard to tell what the difference actually IS match to match or player to player. Like, one thing I HAVE noticed is that OE scares some people a lot! They'll abandon tiles they can run Jason at because he jumpscared into them, or they'll crouch instead of sticking a gen even if they're at a spot where there are two different resources in range.
IMO one of his strongest qualities is his ability to initiate jumpscare from windows. Many maps have really strong main buildings with safe windows. Garden of joy for example has a gen upstairs with a super safe window next to it. Defending that gen is typically just a waste of time normally... but for Jason, its free hits. He'll appear at the window rather than going up the stairs, which means the survivors now have to run away from the window towards... nothing really.
Ooh, yeah, I can see why. Your only real options are to either book it for the stairwell checkspot before he shows up or, if you're at least in the hallway, be one of the 5 people who remember that upstairs has that third window that drops into actual tiles (not that anyone can be blamed for forgetting given how hidden and out of the way it is). If you're in the gen room at all during jumpscare you're almost certainly just taking a health state if not two! And if you've decided to be crouching in there, thinking you're not going to be the target, but the Jason knows you're there or just vibe checks the area anyways? Really nasty situation.
Generally they're in the gen room if im going up there, lol. I dont spend long in OE. Often times, ill hop in long enough to use the teleport to go from outside the house to upstairs. Stuff like a surge gen explosion is enough to let me know someone has started the gen. I also am a huge fan of sleeping bag. I see the location of any survivor within 10 meters of a hook... and they have no clue they got revealed.
