Most Survivor Sided Event!?
Ok so if im reading this right, survivors can receive more pallets, can make pallets unbreakable??
-constant haste, invincibility, invisibility
-faster repair speed and healing speed
-old dead hard dash effects
-portals to teleport around
And killers can give survs hindered…?

Comments
Counterpoint: this gives survivors alternate objectives, and slows them down, whilst also allowing you to poison the banquets and greatly hinder a survivor.
Killers have a lot of ways to change the way they play the game, through playing different killers and what perks they have which can shape the game, survivors dont have that much influence on how the game is played.
This event, whilst giving relatively little extra for killers to do, makes the survivors have extra objectives and more "fun" things to do that should slow them down whilst flavouring their gameplay.
(Laughs in Hag).
wow it's the worst aspects of 2v8
Considering that the last few events very vastly killer-sided, at some point it could have been expected to be the other way around. Remote-hooking and Remote Pallet Breaks were far better than blocking a window for a few seconds or putting up a super bad Pallet.
I can imagine that their numbers showed that less Survivors played the event the last years. Like, I did not play Survivor at all in the event queue last year.
And another factor which cannot be ignored is simply that more Survivors will be needed to play. The queuetimes for Killer are really long right now due to a Killer Only-Chapter AND that chapter being one of the most anticipated licenses ever. Having the same killer-sided Anniversary Event like usual would probably have made it even longer for Killer.
They're probably anticipating longer killer queues, especially since we just got Jason. So they make the survivor role more interesting so people still queue up.
I dont really do much with the anniversary gamemode itself because eitherway its unbalanced every year. I didnt contribute when we had remote hook and break so I probably wont do much here either. Just play the normal que not like cant get cakes lol.
I like to have other stuff to do like the usual. Just last year I really did not feel like getting followed around by a Killer until their remote Pallet Break is ready so that they either get a Hit with Bloodlust or because they broke the Pallet. So I opted for the regular queue.
Yeah, fully agree. I have no problem with making the survivor side stronger/more interesting during the event because we know the killer queue times are going be long (they already are) with everyone wanting to play Jason. Killer players can complain all they want and threaten to not play, but there are plenty of other killer players who still want to play and will gladly take those spots in the queue.
Ah so by making Killer a miserable experience so nobody would want to suffer playing this event
I think everyone is ignoring the "Poison can also be thrown at survivors" line. If a hit on that causes enough hinder and is readily available to the killer this could become killer sided really quickly.
Itd be funny if the hinder is reduced by vigil. Because that perk has been the bane of the past few bhvr designs with hinder especially.
None of it actually says hindered, I think I just immediately assumed throwing the poison would be like a clown bottle. The dessert section does mention collecting poison so we will have to see how abundant it really is and what exact effect it will have when thrown at someone. Could be nasty, could be nothing.
Fixing the survivor queue and making it playable for more casual players helps the killer experience a lot as well. The obvious, that it doesn't take 8 minutes to find a match, but also that the survivor playerbase isn't exclusively sweats and tryhards who are the only ones who are able to survive in the onslaught of ghouls and all the massive mobility/anti-loop killers with massive innate tracking that keep being released.
I mean, if MMR was baseline functional at least. But still a wider array to pick from.
Tell that to 2v8
I’m pretty sure that poisoned has a new status icon, so probably vigil won’t affect it.
Maybe they're desperately trying to get someone, ANYONE, to play survivor?
Just a thought based on queue times
The nerve to complain about this after how killer sided recent anniversary events have been.
”Miserable experience” is quite subjective and there is going to be a wide range of opinions on this for killer players. Remember that with the last 2v8 mode, which some people also said was so bad for killers that “nobody would want to play”, a vast majority of killer players still wanted to play and there were super long killer queues even though the survivor role was very strong. This is all about balancing supply and demand for the queues. You’re never going to make everyone happy, so the best thing for BHVR to do is try to make the largest number of people happy. That means if the killer side has super long queues, you nerf killer side or buff survivor side until the queues are more balanced.
So event for high tiers so its worth the time you wait.
Sounds simular to 2v8 que times tbh.
If that is true, I would say it took long enough.
"old dead hard dash effects" So… Dramaturgy, what we still have.
I'd wait and see how it works in game before getting upset about it, survivors having more to do and interact with is less time spent on gens, killers have been asking for this for a while.
Also if people are as good at Jason as they claim they are, it won't hurt to have a fun challenge rather than just dominating the survivors, right?
Comparing dramaturgy to old dh? You good?
Dramaturgy has downsides and doesnt make you invinciable to damage from projectiles and traps or doge rffects like doctors shock.
I dont see any line that even mentions gen speed. Also nothing that says everything is in play at the same time and for eternity. And you just ignore that survivors have side objectives to do while killer literally just play the game and throw around some hindered effects.
So yeah, youre NOT reading this right at all.
Dramaturgy doesnt have downsides if you know how to use it (roll for expose then keep it for chase the next use)
Does the event dash have invuln? no? why are YOU comparing it to DH lmao
Dramaturgy has downsides like exposed and if know how to use it then you are rewarded but dramaturgy doesnt doge range projectiles that would hit you or dash powers or doctors shock like old DH did.
Old DH had invinerability so huntress throw axe and you pressed and E and it didnt do anything to you and it was you who compare them in first place here literary you:
"old dead hard dash effects" So… Dramaturgy, what we still have."old dead hard dash effects"You used his words good. So… Dramaturgy, what we still have. Here, right here caught in act.
Seems like you forget what old DH all did dapping over trappers traps and doging killers powers, using it for distance or dashing over holles in floors of buildings like badham main etc.
Go watch so old vids and embrase yourself with knowledge of what old DH all did and how it looked like, thank you.
Not that I'm agreeing with your assessment that the event is going to be miserable for killers but assuming the premise is even partly true, why not? Survivors have just had to suck it up across multiple very killer sided events in the past and they still queued up for the blood points. Killers are too good for that?
You're so bent out of shape over a comparison over a dash effect. lol
they both have a dash component, why did you have to uhm aktually then complain when it happened back to you.
Just own it, neither was wrong, they both have a dash lol
Yes. We saw this same level of behavior over a survey nobody even knew about.
My main problem is it is just hindered. Nothing else. It doesnt even need to be strong but have other effects when you poison a survivor.
Like for example a poisoned survivor get either a hindred effect, next pallet they throw doen or vault is destroyed, maybe get their aura revealed for 14 seconds. Not all together but a random effect.
Its not much but at least it makes it a lot more interesting for killer while not changing the core identity of this event.
It explains itself
Oh please whenever a killer has an opinion you downvote them to the abyss
So what? Now we just make so killers are the punching bag from now on? Instead of making the event balanced and fun for both sides we just say nah and beatdown killers until there forced to not wanna feel like playing to force reduce queue times? I geuss that's the fate of DBD making Survivor 1v4 the new 60/40 power role
At least survivors got tons of bloodpoints to compensate them through it what about killers? Now they don't get nothing on top of nothing
LOL ok sure 😂. First of all, how do you know which posts I downvote? Second, I play killer more than I play survivor and you can simply look at my post history to see all the comments I’ve made supporting the killer side that have plenty of downvotes from people who don’t like that I am sympathetic towards the killer side. It’s pretty hilarious that I get accused of favoring both sides and to me that’s a good sign that I must be doing something right 😉
Notice how I didn't name names and you instantly took offense really telling
