The developers increase the BP cap to 5Mio
The developers announced that they will increase the Bloodpoint cap from 2 million to 5 million. It happens today at 11a.m. ET. However, they say it is a test, so they could go back to the 2 million cap after the Blood Moon event.

We can finally save enough BPs for prestiging a new unlocked character to level 3 in one go.
Why would I gamble my BP and go over 2M if there's a chance they'll lower the cap again and screw me?

I hope they keep this, there really is no reason for a bloodpoint cap.
You shouldn't lose any of these, it's just you will not earn more BP than 2mil cap once the 5mil cap is lifted back.
You can already go over the cap and those BPs aren't taken away from you. I see no reason to think it'd work otherwise if they choose to lower the cap again, you'd just be over the 2m cap and not be able to earn BP until you've spent the excess.
Hopefully this sticks around and isn't only for the event.

Why not just remove it? Capping bp makes no sense to me.
Does nothing for my almost 40 million BP.. There simply shouldn't be a cap. When they finally remove it altogether 10 more years from now, then I'll give them praise.
They want you to keep playing. For example, if you hoarded millions of bloodpoints, you could instantly prestige every new character to whatever prestige you aimed for, and then there would be less motivation to keep playing because the gameplay loop keeping you hooked would be gone.
TLDR: don't ask questions, consume product
Only 5 million? Darn i already got 10 million saved up i can't use yet.
