I am 8/10 for escaping Billy, are people really struggling or are they lying to get him nerfed again

I am seeing many comments wanting him to be nerfed a missed cooldown penalty but right now it's in a good spot. I've played him on mostly maps like Lerys, RPD, nostromo and badham. I realize that most maps he cannot freely use his power. His missed penalty is needed to keep up in many of these insane indoor maps and many maps where he can't spam his power.

I genuinely do not believe most here are struggling against him as they claim, they just want killers to be heavily punished, they just want to play against m1 killers.

  • Basekit Billy is perfect.

However (with the right add-ons) his missed cooldown is almost non-existant, especially in Overdrive, which is similar to what got him gutted the first time.

Scott Jund recently made a video on it, it's a good watch.

The first time he was demolished, it was mostly because of insta-saw add-ons, basekit Billy was fine.

  • I almost never play Billy. I dusted him off for the rift and I have to say: hes really fun.

Not just fun, also very accessible. He's not as punishing anymore which is great.

  • The issue is that the cooldown can be pretty short, and with add-ons there is practically no cooldown. A survivors should be able to get some distance if Billy misses with their power. In their current form this element of gameplay is lacking. Billy is in a great spot overall and certainty doesn't need heavy nerfs, but they do need some adjustments to make it so survivors can be rewarded for countering him properly.

  • Why would someone lie to get a killer they weren't struggling against, nerfed? I agree he's fine as is and people calling for nerfs are misguided, but what's the logic in that?

For personal fun and feeling of being impactful?

  • I don't get the point of these threads. The kill rates are what will decide whether he gets nerfed. If he is massively overperforming then he is going to get nerfed. There is nothing else to it. He has already gone from one of the lowest kill rates to one of the highest in a SINGLE DAY on nightlight. He's really strong and I don't know why people are trying so hard to downplay it.

  • I don’t feel Billy needs a nerf personally.

  • I don't get your logic. If he's easy to go against now then why would people want to get him nerfed?

  • I have had 5 games with people DC'ing against Billy. People may be lying but DCs are true, they DONT want to play against him. and in the games where people do stay I can see why, when Billy downs and hooks 3 players in less than 2min. NO THANKS.

I genuinely do not believe most here are struggling against him as they claim, they just want killers to be heavily punished, they just want to play against m1 killers.

This is what happens when you only think in Killer vs. Survivor, you start seeing others are liars when they don't agree with you. Now I trust bHVR a lot more than you to determine the quality of their product and the mega DC wave will speak for itself. All People are not having fun vs. Billy those that do are in a minority.

  • He may need an add-on pass to adjust the time between chainsaws - that's the one thing where the only counter I see atm is "kek just don't be in 90% of the tiles available on the map, ez". - Other than that I suppose it's mostly adjusting; quite a few tiles that used to be safe against Billy aren't anymore, if Billy has some idea about what they're doing. Which leads to a lot of frustrating experiences.

I'd give it a couple weeks and then I suppose we see how much of an impact the Billy changes really have.

Where did you get these numbers from

"Yeah, you felt the need to contradict my personal experience with your own subjective experience. But its not like its new here, if I had a dollar for every user Ive seen not giving a hoot about other people's experience playing this game, idd be a rich man.

    Carry on."

Where am I posting to contradict yours? I am allowed to post on this forum yes?

cooldown is still weaker than it used to be even with the addons because cooldown addons used to be everything and the kitchen sink and not just cooldown, most commonly 2.1s cooldown (mix + tunning guide) but it also came with 30% charge speed, even double cooldown (1.92s) still had extra charge speed on it (2.23s)

but the addons are getting changes to not stack with overdrive so 2s cooldown out of overdrive and 2.25s cooldown in overdrive

I am simply using the same words you used to somebody else. You are invalidating my experience just like you complained another person did to you

  • Either way BHVR needs to let things settle before making any changes. People have been playing against old billy for years and now he has all these new additions that can throw people off.

I apologize if my previous message gave the wrong impression; that wasn't my intention. I respect your perspective, but I strongly disagree with the idea that people providing feedback are inherently lying. Even if the feedback is inaccurate, the resulting data would likely reveal any shifts in player adaptation within a week.

I'm open to discussing this further without making you feel invalidated. I'm also curious about the reasoning behind being defensive about feedback, as I believe bHVR can effectively address false claims in feedback by cross referencing it with data.

I wish they buff his tuning guide to not make him 4.4.

the way your suppose to make distance vs billy is using windows... and not being out in the open. Also dropping pallet are still pretty good at wasting billy's time. Sounds more adaptation problem just like his old iteration that got turbo nerfed.
