This Helloween Event Was Made For Survivors Enjoy It, And Only Them.

Survivors get endurance status and they usually run during the chases to the void.

Killers don´t have power inside the void and can´t control the gens.

Finally killers don´t have any time to farm points, kick pumpkins or get in the void and interact with the haunts.

As a main killer I´m waiting for this event over, because I couldn´t enjoy it.

Comments

  • Killers have no terror radius in the void.

Killers get speed boost and no terror radius out of the void.

I've grabbed and surprised so many survivors these past weeks.

I've also used the haunts to detect survivors.

Also I've got up to 150KBP in a match (but more usually around 80KBP)

It was pretty fun for me.

  • I don't really care about getting a 4k at 5gens so the event was pretty fun for me!

  • I want these easy survivor games you're talking about. My solo queue teammates won't even do gens. They just farm the event points and nothing else. I'm escaping 40% at most in solo queue while my win rate as killer is more than double that.

  • Yeah the event is pretty survivor-sided. At least it's over soon.

About that terror radius thingy. It persists the first few seconds the killer enters. So survivors usually know when the killer enters it. Unless the killer wants to stay for a while there, its pointless.

The 150k BP were from a different offering. Since the current event offerings sadly don´t stack.

But tbh, whats annoying is how the serums work differently for both sides. Survivor serum can be used after the event ended, killer serum is only usable during the event.

Wait you can't use serum for the killers after the event?

  • Seasonal events always tend to help one side or the other more.

The anniversary event was pretty unanimously killer sided with the telepathic pallet breaking and bloodlust instadowns.

It was SWF sided, because the SWFs that would help each other altruistically in chases, would altruistically use event powers for someone else being chased.

Have you ever seen a Singularity chase where the survivors altruistically chain together multiple EMPs in the same chase? Imagine that, but with event powers. And SWFs were sure to purposely loop through the safest windows (i.e. garden of joy) because survivors blocking those windows was extra awful for the killer.

The main difference is that the anniversary event required group coordination to break (so the brokenness wasn't seen as often), and this Halloween event can be broken by solo q.

If you can't chase a killer opponent who can't use their abilities using three powerful windows, then there's a problem with the play of the survivor you played against. In order to increase the killer's movement speed, it must remain in place for a few seconds, during which time the survivors will exit from another Void.

I have no doubt swfs could (and did) take advantage of coordinating window blocking, just that for the vast majority the killer effects were much stronger. It just always feels lopsided (like that first snowman event.)

  • The event wasn't actually easier for either side. - But it was whoever-doesn't-actually-care-about-the-event-sided; whoever just skipped the whole oid mechanic usually was the side winning. Going into the void and doing the haunts routine takes time; for both sides. Whoever decides to not waste that time has a huge advantage.

  • To put it into perspective the Anniversary event sucked so much for survivors. A lot of them could not finish because of how bad the general population of killers were playing. Yes I do see how this was a survivor sided event but I feel it was a make up for the Anniversary Event. I do agree it was on the survivor side and I main survivor.

  • I play both sides and enjoyed it as much as killer.

But i am not so serious about the game.
