Give a temporary fix for impossible blinds

If you're going to buff Deja Vu temporarily until you fix 3-gen'ing, can you also make Lightborn basekit until you fix survivors getting impossible-angle, off-screen blinds?

Comments

  • How do you know they’re ‘impossible’ if you can’t see them from the survivor’s angle?

  • Obviously no, why should they? In the end it is something that penalizes the killer, and it is known that killers are broken and op, so it's good thing. They should put torches that pass through walls, so maybe they finally balance out these torches that nerfed them a bit too much.

Ok, bullshit aside, it would make more sense to disable torches since putting a lightborn basekit until they fix them would also penalize those who use stuff like flash grenades

  • bruh we seriously complaining about flashlights again?

Sometimes survs manage to blind you even if you penetrate the wall (I exaggerate). Seriously though, sometimes survs blind you when it's physically impossible since they hit weird timing and blind you even if you're looking at the wall

because I should not be blinded by a survivor shining that ######### at the back of my head

It feel like every time a buff happen the other side say "what about Meeeeeeeeeeeee". I definitely get hit from some crazy BS angles before but it not that common in my opinion.

  • You can get blinded by flashlights you cannot see. You can be stunned and blinded by flashbangs and firecrackers that are fully behind you. I’ve had people blind me with flashbangs behind my back at will multiple times in a single game. What’s the defense for getting blinded through the back of your head?

Maybe latency? Kind of like hit validation at windows. That favor killers.

  • Basekit Lightborn? This dude has jokes.

If it's so important to you just literally run it. Problem solved.

They need the DH treatment. Giving them a cooldown was not enough. (I'm being sarcastic)

  • deja vu is still not worth running even with the buff

Idk I dont even see the outter cone of the beam? I'm literally blinded by nothing.

  • Might be a hacker, just report them.

  • important distinction to instead of making Lightborn basekit they should just toggle Flashlights off - I dont want to load into a match with a flashlight I can't actually use lmao

beyond that- like appleas said, it might be a hacker but it could also be that it's at the absolute edge of your range of vision, and if it bothers you that much then lightborn is there, ready and waiting to even show you where they stand when they go for it thanks to the aura reading.

I mean to be fair, thats usually how balancing works. You buff one side of things, and then you add counterplay by buffing something that goes against it. That being said, lightborn basekit is a horrible idea. I would say giving one of the effects, such as aura reading on the person that blinded you for x amount of seconds, wouldn't be a horrible idea.

    Not "What about me?"

More along the lines of "Oh. They can do on-the-fly band-aids now, instead of killswitching? Here are some other things that could use that approach."

Except Deja Vu is still a perk and hasn't been made basekit, it literally just shows the aura of generators longer, which anyone could remember fairly easily, and added a whole 1% gen speed buff. Your post makes you sound like you're whining "what about me?" because you're making a comparison that doesn't make sense between two things which aren't remotely the same thing.

Saying you think flashlights are bugged and should be killswitched until fixed is one thing, demanding a whole perk be made basekit because a totally unrelated perk has been very slightly buffed kinda makes you sound entitled ngl. (and I'm really not trying to sound rude btw, im just saying this probably isn't the best approach)
