Just because a perk that rewarded bad play got nerfed does not mean the reviews will decrease because of it
Don’t see why it matters. Did you forget steam recently started a policy of removing review bombs?
The reward will be the same, but it will finally require some risk!
You weren't around for the review bombs, were you?
TBH I don't think the perk was a widespread as DS was. If they waited another year or so then it might be different.
October 2017 was when I began playing the game @Orion
Be ready for mass threads about Survivors complaining about the changes, "revert MOM or I'm deleting the game" like anyone cares.
I don't know when the review bombs occurred, but they were due to survivor nerfs.
@Orion That is sad, the entitlement required for that to happen is absurd
And that is why I have always said that the two sides are not equivalent.
I don't think I know a single survivor that cares about the MoM nerf in fact most survivors I know think the perk is a waste of a slot which I agree with nobody I know really cares about this nerf but that's my experience me and my friends don't speak for the entire playerbase.
Honestly tho, if people throw a fit over a perk THAT PROMOTES BAD PLAY getting changed, were they really that good in the first place?
I didn't use it. But I can imagine if devs do what they're saying, I'll never see this perk in a game again.
Welcome to a game where the majority of the playerbase is entitled survivors who throw tantrums every time one of their OP perks are balanced.
These are the same people who also cry until a killer is nerfed so they can just loop and abuse them all game. See: Freddy, Legion, etc.
If you guys wanna see down spikes, here's a cookie for ya.
Oh my god they actually gave you the crown. That is amazing.
While I agree with you that survivors complain wayyyyy to much so do killers just wanted to point that out
Bad comparison since hardly anyone leaves reviews for DLCs.
IKR. But it's only temporary.
Why, though?
Right, but it's still a downspike.
Because while I agree that survivors cry and killers do need more buffs the comment sounded like to me that killers obviously are always right and do no wrong.
Killers do complain, but not nearly to the level that survivors do.
The problem is that survivors got too happy with the years, Y-E-A-R-S, of being able to bully all but 2 killers all game, every game so that now anything that knocks them down a peg or brings a killer up to a semi-powerful stage is "game ruining", "unfun" and/or "killing the game".
Because hardly anyone leaves reviews. I checked it out, the two biggest "downspikes" don't even have 20 people each. Compare that with the review bombing of the base game, which had hundreds of people, and you'll see why that's virtually irrelevant.
It's cute that you think I'm trying to make an argument.
That I agree with you with, they have gotten the nerfs they have wanted but from what I can see that has mostly stopped and the one nerf that is debatable is Legion they shouldn't have nerfed him as bad as they did but he did need some changes (moonwalk ect.) Hopefully he gets balanced though because they nerfed him hard. I was simply saying killers can be as bad as the survivors when it comes to complaining however most of them time their complaints I can get behind more than a survivors complaints.
