what perks are absolutely useless tier 1?

  • Hysteria maybe.

tier 1 it lasts for only a bit and has a 30 second cool down but at tier 3 its lasts for 30 seconds so once the effect runs out you can use it immediately again.

  • Whispers is the first one that comes to mind. Tier 1 and 2 are too imprecise to be useful.

Agitation is another. Agitation really only gets good when it pushes the killer to be faster while carrying than Survivors are. That only happens at Tier 3.

  • Some of these might be a little picky, but here's some that I can think of:

Botany Knowledge: increasing by a whopping 11% per level, makes lvl. 3 great, and lvl. 1 just okay.

Ace in the Hole: the levels go 10/25/50% ######### that doesn't even match up!

Fast Track: getting 1 token instead of 3 really burns, so use it at level 3, if at all.

Hex: Third Seal: if it's not at max level, you can't even make every survivor blind which is bad

Hex: Ruin: while not useless, it increases by 50% per level, which is a LOT.

Blood Warden: at level 3, it's literally double the time compared to 1. Also the levels aren't even for some reason (30/40/60 sec.)

Spirit Fury: breaking 4 pallets at level 1 is a big cost to use it one time.

STBFL: using it at level 1 is pain

  • Stridor, distressing, corrupt, ruin, dragons grip, dying light, bbq, play with your food, remember me, and probably the new no way out perk

Ruin Tier 1 useless? BBQ useless? You still get 50% Bonus BPs, better than not having it.

    @Topic:

I will only list those which I think are really useless, others are also not great either (e.g. Tier 1 Bond), but they do something:

Iron Will-->50% Reduction is basically nothing

Autodidact-->Only 3 Tokens make this Perk barely have a use at the cost of having the two negative Progressions

Lightweight-->Not an amazing Perk, but Tier 1 being 1 second is too less. (But also impossible to buff if you look at the seconds, because the highest Tier shoulud not make Scratchmarks really hard to read)

Whispers-->Great Perk on Tier 3, but Tier 1 basically only tells you "There are Survivors on this Map"

Not many Perks, I have to say. But, other Perks are not great in general and the Tier 1 is even worse then, however, I tried to name Perks which are really useless at Tier 1, but may become an Option when fully upgraded.

  • "Slippery Meat". In fairness, "Slippery Meat" has been useless for me even at tier 3, but perhaps the only other perk that has even less of an impact is "Up The Ante", but at least with that everyone gets something mostly useless!

There is plenty. IW looses its entire purpose before tier 3. Agitation in a simalar vain needs to be tier 3 to be actually a decent bit faster than survivors while carrying. ruin with base regression is kinda #########. Unless you are a killer with a 100% reliable way of saving stacks god help you if you try to run STBFL. These are just useful perks that are bad at tier 1 there are plent of bad perks that are even worse at tier 1.

Ruin tier 1 is not useless but it is not the powerhouse of a perk like it is at tier 3 since base regression kinda sucks.

PGTW (too short a time limit, but ig the 25% makes it slightly useful),

    Thanat (for obvious reasons),

Self care (love it tier 3, hate it tier 1. Tier 3 is slow but not stupidly slow (I usually run Botany knowledge)).

    Ruin,

    DS,

BT (not enough time to matter),

    WGLF (yay 50% bp).

Self Care speed doesn't change with Tiers. Only efficiency of the medkits changes.

  • Autodidact is the biggest one Imo. Missing out on stack 4 and 5 is huge

Aftercare is also much worse at only 1 person

  • Monstrous Shrine isn't even useful at max Level

I find ruin tier 1 useless since it take forever to regress compared to its tier 3. Sure it still regress gens without kicking but I find it take forever to regress a gen that’s like 90% complete.

bbq is useless tier one just like wglf sure you see auras but the bp is what everyone want, maybe if the bp bonus was swapped for the aura reading for the tiers so we always can get 100% bp even at tier 1 at the cost for shorter aura reading, but 4 seconds is already really short lol

But you already get 50% Bonus-BPs for BBQ 1. And 50% is more than nothing.

  • Resilience, a 3% boost is hardly anything.

  • Premonition is already a pretty terrible perk, but imagine having a 1 minute cooldown on it. That's what happens at tier 1, a 1 minute cooldown.

  • Considering reasonable perks only - Autodidact (lvl1 autodidact will have an overall negative impact on your healing efficiency in 95%+ of matches).

No mither lvl1 considering all the perks there are.

Sure, but like idk. I guess your right, but I just don’t see the point when 100% is really a huge boost. especially when it cost over a million blood points just to get the perks you want on that one specific killer. Sure it’s better than nothing but you might as well do a daily challenge or tomes for guaranteed bp.

  • Bond at tier 1 is not good. You have to be almost on top of your team mates to see them.

  • Autodidact at tier 1 only allows you to get 3 stacks. The last 2 stacks are what make the perk fun and actually useful.

I like No Mither, but tier 1 having zero reduction to grunts of pain is a big ouch.

*edit just saw that someone also wrote that sry.

  • Agitation has already been brought up, but for the taxi build, I'd probably also list Mad Grit, as only the Tier 3 version pauses the wiggle timer long enough for you to actually move even a tiny bit before it unpauses.

Not that much, but yeah. At level 1 is the same as if you kicked it.

  • Whispers, definitely

  • And Save the best for last
