  • News on the upcoming video!

It will be in 2 weeks hence, as I do not have PS+ at the moment. -.- I'm sorry, everyone. Good Greif.

  • I FORGOT THIS WAS SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN! MY SISTER WANTED TO COME UP! Kung FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU! ;-;

I'll post is as soon as I am able.

  • @boomgagem

I have in another post. It should be "Nerf" SWF.

  • Hmmm. I would wager that Dwight wouldn't be the first, simply because, through it all, he's remained hopeful. He was the first one there, he continuously tried to make friends at his job and in school. However, people can get tired, so Dwight is definitely a possibility.

  • @ILOVEMYSUPERDOG114

Haha, ya know, my sister said the same thing! xD

  • Hey, I did this, but I didn't like the video. xD The next one will be much more organized.

  • @Tzeentchling9
You're right. I had not thought of that. Generally, I only play SWF with my sister, so it is just me and her. But, Blood warden can still come in handy, as they have no control over when someone else gets hooked. However, the perk is too situational. For the Nightmare, here is my replacements:

NOED for Bloodhound ((as I did mention it before.))
Blood Warden for Remember me, so that opening the gates takes longer.

    @SaltyKiller
I had Lightborn on the Nightmare build already. Maybe you'll find the two perks I mentioned above better for the replacements.

  • Hmm, I see you're down, survivor. Down to [censored].

TMW you down a survivor and secretly say to yourself:
If I said I want your body now, would you hold it against me? -insert doctor laugh here-

  • -le poke-

PlayStation Party. :3 I don't know about xBox. I guess they wasted their money. ;)

I kid, but a party on PlayStation does kind of remove the need for the chat option. Just invite the killer and have a ball. :3

  • @SaltyKiller

I was actually going to recommend the Ebony Mori, but it must have slipped my mind. Thank you.

  • Even before the rank system got nerfed, I felt that this would be a good idea. I've always found SWF to be somewhat OP, despite being what I perceive as good at the game. I say this because I have improved at the game greatly since I began playing. Thank you for your feedback, @Lord_Technopapst. It is always a delight to hear from you.

  • @boomgagem
I know that the problem with SWF is communication. I personally disagree with this this, simply because killers should be used to dealing with perks on regular players who are not SWF. Also, this would not give them the ability to save their friends from campers. Further more, just like the killers, survivors work hard to get bloodpoints, and such an update would be unfair.

    @Tzeentchling9
Actually, I had intended the last 2 to be more of a just in case. There is never a way to know that a killer has Bloodwarden until someone else in the match dies after the gate is open. The hex is fairly obvious, and I can understand the hesitation in using it. This build is more of a "last chance" thing. You have 2 perks to help you in early game with people who have flashlights, and 2 perks to assist you at the end of the game, when people are opening the gates. I can understand that these perks can be situational, but the one who needed help, Techno, was talking about having difficulties closer to the end of the game.

  • @Nick

This post is for those of us who actually want to help other survivors. If you are immediately found and camped, you don't get any points.

  • @Master

In most situations, Survivors don't know how to handle campers, as such making their situation a "you can do nothing against it." As for the chainsaw, only Leatherface can down all at once, so the Hillbilly is a bit easier to deal with.

  • I hope you're not running self care because I want to gently rub you all night long. ;3

Stalking you is the best when you rub yourself, baby.

I have a really nasty one, so if you want to hear it, PM me. xD

If you're into BDSM, I've got hooks in my basement and an overwhelming presence that will make your heart beat faster.

  • Oh, Patrolling?

I patrol naturally. While I do go more than 5 steps from the survivor, going all over the map, but if they still haven't been saved after like 15 seconds, I do go back to see if anyone is even near the poor guy.

Being 5 feet from them, which I consider camping primarily because it is almost impossible to get the survivor, would have to be brought on by T-bagging. If I wanted tea, I would buy Lipton. Oh, or if they ready up last and then prove to be an [censored] in the game anyways, I camp them then. Or if I recognize them from a previous game where they let me die on the hook. I literally say to myself, "Oh, the Doctor will see you now."

  • Looks wonderful, Min. Keep up the good work. :+1:

  • I don't know why I wrote it like that, but I appear to be in a pleasant mood. I hope this helps you.

  • Once upon a time, there was a penalty for leaving. All the good little survivors would be left a present by the great Entity! Looking excitedly at their rewards, they would have 5,000 bloodpoints more, as if they had survived the battle! Yay!

Alas, the great creators took away our points, but there is hope! Should a survivor open a door, the good little survivors get to keep their points and items! Hold strong, little survivor. You can do it.

  • @Runiver said:
    Not rescuing and repairing works.
It usually never happens tho, as the "15 meters rule" is always respected by survivors, which is basically : as soon as a killer is running 15 meters away from the hook, the survivor get instantly rescued.

We get almost all of the survivors out, and sometimes all, if the killer isn't a tunneler. But, for now, I digress. I've got work to do today. xD

  • @Runiver said:
There's only one true technique over SWF :
    Make them to go over-altruistic.

It basically makes you to have to think your play and read how and when they rescue.
If they rescue instantly as you leave the hook, just camp.
If they wait for the last second, just come back for the struggling phases.
If they don't bother to save as you camp, you're against one rare case of actual try-harding SWF, and there isn't much you can do because whatever your decision is, they'll read it through and play accordingly, as a team of survivors playing accordingly will nearly always win unless accident.

My sister and I have a tactic we use against campers, and I will be posting a topic on it later, when my work is not quite so busy.

Note, that if you're against really good survivors, who will hit a DS skillcheck 80% of the time, then Overcharge can become completely useless.

Imo I'd always choose Remember Me over blood warden, just because I like being rewarded for going for the obsession.

Actually, with Ruin, the skill check becomes even harder. I agree that Overcharge can become useless, but I'm a boss at skill checks and I still hate Overcharge. Generally, I just start working on a kicked gen for a second, to stop the regression of the gen. Many survivors I've seen do the same thing. It's called tapping a gen. Once you've exited the animation, though, you can't hit the check. :pirate:

If they do anything, it should not be Perk related. SWF is a base game mechanic, anything to provide a more balanced game for Killers against them should also be a base game mechanic. Having to waste a Perk slot just to counter a "free" mechanic for Survivors is unacceptable. While Enduring helps with loops, it also helps with things like DS and wiggles. That is an acceptable tradeoff for a Perk imo.

There should be increased rewards and/or giving the Killer an extra Perk slot for 3-man, and 2 for 4-man, SWF groups. Those slots would only activate when SWF groups entered the lobby. Might make it a bit more fair, but doesn't really hurt the solo players as much. I think anything you do to balance SWF is going to hurt solo players a lot.

While this is an interesting take, and something that I would be all for if there were drastic ramifications to campers, there is the issue of just that. Campers. Those extra perk slots could be used for beyond nefarious purposes, such as a camper using Insidious. While I do agree that this is the best of a sticky situation, the devs already have taken measures to assist killers in these types of matches.

1.) Flashlights are no longer instant blinds. The only way a player can blind you is if you continue to stare directly at the bulb.

2.) I'm not 100% certain on this one, but I believe that the survivor hit boxes became a bit bigger. I used to be able to do all kinds of crazy moves that I can't now.

3.) Disconnects. I know you're thinking this sounds crazy, but if you don't have many points anyway, you can disconnect from the game. The survivors get no points for this anymore, unless one of the exit gates are open. While this really really angers me, it is a tactic if the game is being sour to you.

One of the biggest reasons that the SWF option is so broken is because they try to match the players with killers who are similar to the lowest rank. In my opinion, were they to start matching survivors with killers of a similar rank to the highest, this would be less of a problem. I completely agree that the system is broken, and this is one of the reasons why. It is unfair for a player to ride the coattails of their high ranking friend. It is also unfair for the killer to have to endure a rank that is higher than him for any reason other than the rank resets.

While yes, lower level survivors would complain that this is supposedly unfair, they have the assistance of their friend(s). The killer has no one and has to rely upon their cunning wit and perks to allow them to survive SWF groups. I hope that this is a reasonable suggestion. I understand that higher level killers would have the same issues, but they are better equipped to deal with individuals of their own rank. This would force the lower levels to either get better at playing the game, or become fodder for the Entity.

  • @Master

    I know, right? Haha.

  • My sister appears to believe that we're going to be getting a kill with friends option in the future, but this is only stipulation, and not something that I would put a lot of faith in, all things considered. Could you imagine 2 killers wrecking everyone? The battle would be legendary!

  • @FayeZahara @MineAntoiya @Wicked_Django

Thank you all so much for your comments! Please feel free to post your builds on here so that we can have even more to choose from! :):+1:

  • @SaltyKiller

You also appear to be unable to grasp detail. Oh, you poor dear. God is the male term. Adding "dess" makes the term female. As such, I am a woman.

Oh, and, one more thing. I obviously don't know everything, but at least I know more than you.

  • @DasMurich
When I was suggesting the perk, I was doing so because the request that Techno was making was very similar to the perk, as the way that I interpreted his request.

In this situation, it seems that Techno just needs a bit of assistance in playing the game, as he stated in his original post that he was bad at it, which is what I was trying to do. I do apologize for the misinterpretation.

If a supposed "English Major" spends 24/7 of their free time shitposting on these forums then I truly doubt that they are in fact an English Major.

Doubt it all you want. I do not care about your opinion on the matter, as I have a diploma that proves you wrong. Nothing says that I am still in college.

######### posting is a term that means one is posting content that is not helpful or relevant. I am defending my honor here, as you have personally insulted me. I will not be belittled. I respect differing opinions when my opinions are also respected. Stating that you've laughed at me in a derogatory manner is insulting, and I will not stand for this. You have at least three people who find your point of view invalid. You're the one who is ######### posting.

  • @SaltyKiller

Also, I do not see a participation trophy in this. The only people who get participation trophies are campers when they get a kill because all they did is hook a survivor once and stand there. Survivors have to work hard to actually achieve any points/pips. Survivors, unlike camping [censored]s, have to complete at least 1,000 blood points in every category to pip. If they do not raise more points than this in other fields, there is a very high chance that they might not even get to keep a pip.

When a survivor is immediately caught and then camped, they may as well disconnect from the killer because they are certain to lose their pips and not gain but, perhaps, 1,000 blood points in total. And I bet you're the type of person who sends "gg" after every single match to every person who you have personally camped. You dare to insult players who you have the gall to even speak to when you know your skill is so lacking that, were you to give them a chance, you would be bested.

Opinions are everywhere. And I have every single right to ignore your opinions because I disagree with the way you present your case.

And, @Jack11803 is right. If you're going to try to roast an English major over something like this, perhaps learn how to differentiate between declarations and opinions.

  • 2.) Avoiding Survivor Tactics

    The Flashlight
Even though I am a survivor, and I love to be saved, I still don't like the flashlight. In fact, when I bring a flashlight, I use it as a communication tool or I burn away Hag traps. If you are picking up a survivor, look straight up during the animation. Players cannot blind you this way, as you have to look directly into the light. As far as pallets go, I ignore them until I have caught the bastard, unless they pallet loop, which brings me to my next point of focus.

    Running the Killer
When 4 players are in a match together, one of them is almost always dedicated to running the killer. This generally means that they are good at what they do. They use tactics such as juking ((when you run around the killer right as he/she swings)), pallet looping ((running through the same pallet over and over again)), and flash lighting ((blinding the killer as they are smashing a pallet.)) These people are to be ignored until they are seen in a vulnerable position, such as jumping into a locker or digging in a chest. Generally, this person will run the killer because the others are not good at getting away. An intelligent survivor team will have 1 runner, 1 healer, and 2 gen rushers. The healer will run perks such as We'll Make It, Borrowed Time, and other assistance perks. The gen rushers will have perks that assist them in working on the generators, of course.

    Gen Rushing
This is generally cured with the Sluggish build that I have mentioned above. Most people do not run the perk that allows them to see hexes and traps simply because there are better perks out there. ((I personally do run it on my Feng.))

  • @Jack11803

Thank you. I appreciate your support. I wanted to respond to your comment, but became enraged by what I saw him say, so I shall answer you now.

I agree that this tactic can be hell. After all, everyone in the party can communicate with one another and plan their actions in real time. On the other hand, there are ways to cope with this, which I wanted to put in another post for the benefit of the person requesting assistance in this thread.

  • @SaltyKiller said:
To be laughed at and mocked for having a totally wrong opinion about reality? Okay then.

No, I wanted laugh about the end comment. I did not realize that you were being a rather awful human being, focusing on tearing the opinions of others about you down. From your comment, I can assume that you're a camper yourself.

No opinion is wrong, and you have every right to disregard mine, but when you state that you're laughing, of course I am going to focus on the positives because I'm not a pessimist. From now on clarity should be your goal instead of downing someone who was just trying to be helpful to someone who was having difficulty against survivors.

  • As soon as I hear the Nurse, all of my fear melts away...

...Until they gave her the ability to stop mid-blink.

  • @SaltyKiller
    Good, that's what I wanted. :3

  • Forgot to mention that the new killer has AOE. Huntress's isn't really AOE, but she does have a 1 hit down.

    Hi! RogueGoddess here!

In my own personal opinion, I believe that the creators of DBD should send these requests in on the same day they begin PBT, so that by the time they are ready for release on the PC, they may also be ready for the console, and we whom own the consoles don't have to wait until we have grandkids to have the same content.

The frustration levels of those of us who love this game just go up beyond compare. Anyways, that is just my two cents. o/

Then we would get the PTB update, with a weak as hell clown, broken issues, and many other things. That’s not how that works.

Ah, so they have to have the actual update files. My bad.

  • @Lord_Technopapst

They already have these for killers.

    1.) Bloodwarden ((Perk))
Blocks the exit for 40 seconds, which only increases as you raise your rank with it. This gives you time to down a couple of survivors.

    2.) The Huntress ((Killer))
Throws a hatchet at players, but you really have to be able to aim with her.

They also have ranks in this game for a reason. However, I do hate that you are unable to level up as effectively as before. I got 5k across the board once, and that didn't even give me a pip. I was so angry, I left the game for a week before coming back.

FYI: Killers who are amazing at this game can down SWF just as easily. Honestly, there have been countless times when my sister and I have been playing together, which is usually the case, and we have been slaughtered. This can also be done because of campers. Those toxic [censored]s just need to stop. I'm still waiting on the fix the creators claimed they were going to have for that. I suppose their answer is SWF. -.-

Other times, though, I have played alone and killers contacted me chewing me out for SWF when I wasn't even with other people I knew. I'm just that helpful to others. >:)
