I disagree, but let's save that for a more relevant thread. :P

    Agreed

I agree that she is weak, but I'd rather not derail the main thread topic. :P

Pig main for over a year (rank 1 always). She is not weak. I think people need to incorporate a strategy with her based on what's occurring within their present situation. There are many ways to play with pig's traps then one would think. I have multiple strategies based on the outcomes I am always up against. If pig gets a buff I am happy, otherwise, she is easily underated and way better then what people claim. If you play her correctly (like I do) I would place her in A tier. Call me crazy but I know the pig inside out and devoted my play style to her.

    I agree!!

  • Try running franklins, has made a huge difference.

  • Everyone Is using their best addons that they saved from the blood hunt. This is also a contributing factor; thus, more difficult for killer. Also, rank reset time is the season for swf even with incorrect ranks.

  • Has been doing the same thing to me on ps4 (Australia) exactly as how you describe; on and off for the past 3 weeks.

  • I agree, finding games as a killer has been a nightmare for me for the past two weeks on ps4; takes about 20 minutes per game even as a green rank killer now from always being red - because I have moved onto other games now due to this and refuse to wait to only have people dcing then waiting another 20 min. It is very broken at the moment if you ask me.

  • Seen survivors get stuck on the basement stairs at the Thompson house after a survivor sprint burst past them.

  • @Peanits Thankyou for your response about this. Much is appreciated.

  • Exactly!!! Especially since they read the patch notes, it gives them incentive to realise they can abuse a mechanic that is being worked on.

@xility Not to be rude to you but it’s hard to listen to killer mains when

    1. The forum is full of most of them and they’re literally just screaming at the devs about how they got their ass beat by SWF
    2. When a large amount of the community plays survivor aka bias review bomb

If everyone on here could have the courtesy to present what they have to say in a nice delicate manner on how they should make balance changes and what they think should be added.... I’m pretty sure they would be more willingly to listen.

I am a killer main yes, for PS4. I have met many rank 1-5 survivors and killers (more than 50+) that I hold true in my DBD realm/circle due to their skill and ethics; hence where my feedback comes from too; we common killers are well respected by PS4 survivors. So I voice my concerns due to observing and seeing how DBD is evolving through face to face feedback from skilled and quality players. I dont mind SWF. Yes its hard, but I love that challenge and I use all M1 killers too. The mind games with SWF is what keeps me going.

I do report bugs, to balance the game there is no answer. This is because there is a war on this forum from what I see. 2 sides that can never agree. Thats only natural though due to the nature of the game.

Basically, my suggestion/observation is? Well....what went wrong for the player base to drop? Match making, bugs and changes to the ranking system. Thats it! The devs need to focus on this. To change things back and forth then to exclude killers for things does not give a good message to all those loyal killers that invest so much time into this game. I have ideas but I would be writing a thesis here lol.

A 28% playerbase drop even though 2 DLCs dropped during that period of time... This is new, has never happened before. Usually when they release new content the playerbase jumps back to "normal" but in this case they barely managed to keep it steady even though we just had a ~30% player loss.

New content is not enough to keep the players or bring them back, they need to fix the core issues like matchmaking, ranking system and other unbalances.

We've reached a point where even the most addicted players get tired of that ######### and just leave, which usually takes A LOT to happen.

So true. The devs are going to find out the hard way despite our concerns.

Your meant to keep loyal customers/killers, and not think they are disposable. Quality killers is what they are throwing away and trying to replace them/us with trashy newbies that camp/tunnel that dont use it as a form of strategy etc; hence why they probably discounted their game and dlcs to entice newbies to counter the drop in players.

The devs will see how much more the player base will drop even further come rank reset in 2 days time.

  • Yes, you need killers, more of them. But people are being put off due to the ignorance received regarding balance, bugs and pips. The devs need to respect killer mains more, because without killers there is no game and matchmaking will remain broken!

  • Player base is not going strong at all. I agree that killers are left out.

  • Ranking/pipping for killer is a mess!! Its too stressful for killers to care anymore; even by seeing the tweak for survivors with the new update it strikes upset that killers were not included.

People believe ranking for killer is easy, well its not. The people that say that are in the low ranks and not red. The amount you have to do to remain rank 1 is such a chore and penalises you for doing good. I just am losing a lot of faith in this game and come in a few days time when rank reset happens, well...I believe crap will hit the fan all over this forum.

  • Lol a camping nurse. The player using her must be nuts.

Graphics on console was hit to get better fps. Its funny how people first complain about low frames and now are complaining about lower graphics in order to get better frames. People need to make up their minds.

With the graphic reduced Ormond is impossible for killers to track; the red glow is unoticable for gens and totems. So BBQ is useless meaning the killer has a really unfair advantage considering they are unaware of what map they are venturing into.

  • I feel like they started to use TAA, but SMAA or MSAA would be better. I agree that the graphics are horrible.

  • Valkyria Chronicles 4!!! + Days Gone (coming out in 2 weeks)

  • Its the most important perk for a killer period IMO.

  • If it was me I would run:

sloppy butcher, no one escapes death, and brutal strength. With a forth perk slot free for what ever you desire.

Basically, I personally would remove nurses calling from your setup because it would not work in your full advantage since trappers terror radius is 32 metres and nurses calling works within 28 metres. Survivors are less likely to heal within your radius. Nurses calling is best suited for stealth/fast killers and killers with a small terror radius. So maybe run Thanataphobia to compliment sloppy.

  • You save about 0.5 seconds with tier 3.

About 2.6 seconds without, and 2.1 seconds with T3 BS.

However, if you destroy 10 pallets in a trial, then you would have saved a total of 5 seconds.

In this game every second counts.

  • Pallet Breaking Times:
    <v1.6.3 = 3.0s
     v1.7   = 2.6s

    Brutal Stengh Increases:
    <v1.6.3 = 20%/30%/40%
     v1.7   = 10%/15%/20%

    Actual Times with Brutal Strength
    <v1.6.3 = 2.4s /2.1s /1.8s
     v1.7   = 2.34s/2.21s/2.08s

    Based on other versions.

So I would say 0.5 second decrease with tier 3.

  • Brutal strength is worth it, but depends on how you play. I personally believe that any killer except for huntress and plague highly benefit from it; as they do not really need it due to their power.

  • Lol.

Let me explain it "No, its not". Coming from a rank 1 killer here on ps4. Both are broken. People that say otherwise dont play enough to truely understand.

  • @Kaelum said:

I used to play 2-3 hours M-TH, 6 hours Friday, and 8-10 hours Saturday and Sunday. Now, maybe 5 hours a week? With MoM, I have stopped completely. There is no reason to play a game that removed an extremely divisive perk, only to bring in an even more divisive perk that stacks along with every other second chance perk. How many second chances does a survivor need?

There should be 1, and only 1 second chance, period. Once that second chance is used, all other second chances should be eliminated. If you think the matchmaking is bad now, see how many killers are playing in a couple weeks. Until MoM is completely removed, I’ll be playing fun games like Spider-Man, God of War, Colossus, Days Gone, Watchdogs 3, and The Last of Us 2. Yes, those last 2 games will most likely be out before the devs are able to extract their heads from their asses.

P.S. I almost forgot Horizon: Zero Dawn 2....OMG!

Yea bud, I'm looking forward to days gone! But DBD will have a double bp event by then for easter to counter it lol. So I will play for an extra 30 min then lol.

Totally agree about the one chance statement. I can handle many chances but its just not worth the time and stress just to depip anyways lmfao.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

When are they going to realize their matchmaking system will never work properly until they fix their pipping system?

    Exactly!!!!!!!!

Come rank reset in a week and everyone will realise how dead lobbies will actually be. Maybe the worst on record.

  • I imagine there is a shortage of killers due to them having no incentive to play; ranking is broken, match making is broken, MOM. DBD need killers yet I see them not get treated well by the devs. The devs need to understand that without killers the game is dead.

I use to play about 10 hours daily. Since all the problems I now play 30 min daily. I know a lot of others that have done the same.

I don't know. Faith is becoming a quickly depleted commodity these days.

    Totally agree bud.

  • @DeadbyThePlague123

I heard its coming to consoles possibly; this year. And if DBD remains the way it is then I would not be surprised if people shift. It is quiet possible. I do not like "white noise" but I have been seeing a influx of its popularity lately. The same could happen for "last year" if the devs of that game took advantage of a situation. Anything can happen really.

  • @MrsPiggyIsSoSneaky I understand where your coming from and agree that people themsevels are toxic. However, the game supplies tools for this to occur. So I understand why survivors do what they do and it doesn't bother me. Flashlights created to stun, map design created for looping etc. These were created by the devs for the sheer reason of escape. Survivors have no other form of defending themselves. The devs created swf, the killer more op then surviors etc. So I see it as they had a direction of what they wanted. If they wanted to avoid toxic people then they should make it that only 1 flash light could be equipped per group, and that the number of pallets and map design is based on a killers rank in reference to the survivors. This is just my thoughts.

  • @The_Crusader The ps4 version is bad but they have made a few optimisation tweaks in exchange for graphics; can't use BBQ properly anymore as its all blurry and doesn't work when in basement due to this.

  • @Kaelum I agree with your words. Though, with this new system I am not worried about losing my rank. I know how to pip properly if rank reset happened even with this new system, I do try and make sure everyone always has a good match. I hope the devs create the balance they need but I just believe this system is not it; because it contradicts itself from not rank but the main core of what the game is about. In addition to this, I have never used noed. But just by testing a few things out anyone can still rank 1 with this system and noed will be on the rise for high rank killers. Since devot is based on hook and kills a stock build on a killer I imagine will be "bitter murmor - to see all aurus at end game" + "remember me - delay in opening gates" + "noed" - to instadown" and "ruin - to protect gens". So pretty much a killer with this build can do what they want without having a creative killer, but makes sure they chase and hook enough then to sastify devot to kill all at end game. I just believe there will be a huge rise in noed now to satisfy that requirement should they stick with this system.

  • @kaelum Yes very true. With campers, they are at lower ranks then those that dont. What I am trying to convey, is that their ranking system negates so many factors that allows this game to actually be a game of creativity. For example, if someone is good at spirit and good at stealth in general, then when you grab someone from a gen or etc and hook them you lose points in the end because you did not "chase" them. So in theory, you are not allowed to grab them to kill them until its their last hook so you have maximised chase points with them. This is just one example of many I could mention. Another is, I just hook someone and someone comes directly to the hook to unhook. What do I do? Grab or chase? Regardless I am being penalised for both situations because I am 12 meters in hook range and also grabs dont accumulate chase points. Furthermore, so the devs are saying that my basement builds are dead now? If I want to fill my basement up with survivors and bring another one in after the other am I being penalised? Yes!. In addition, what about the smallest map in the game? "The game". Am I being penalised if upstairs away from the hook? But the hook is near. But there may be a gen there with someone on it. There's more that I could go on about. But my main point about this post was that we as killers are becoming unpaid workers for the devs in replacement of AI.

  • @The_Crusader said:

"If someone can get rank 1 and is a camper then people will most likely dodge their lobby. Or even if they versed the killer again they should be aware of their tricks and attempt to beat them. "

But the survivors don't know who the killer is until the game is over. Are you sure you've played this game? Lol

On ps4 you can see who the killer is prior to match start. Some have hidden profiles but only a small percent.
