I think the main point of why they should remove the code is simply because people who want to be toxic have an easy time avoiding the censorship, and then the people trying to be friendly speak like '*********' because it incorrectly censors most of their words.

It's like gun free zones. People will find a way around it, and know there will be nothing done because of how much damage they can cause before "authority" can arrive to stop it. The only difference is, speech to these people is literal violence over defending your physical being.

I used Event Cakes (I had over 100 on my Nemesis, and I played him quite a bit, because I needed some more Add Ons) and BPS in every game.

However, two things need to be considered:

    • BPS are very rare. The green Bloodweb-Items are the most of any and BPS compete with many Add-Ons and especially Map Offerings.
    • Bloodhunts are so rare, I dont think many players keep BPS or Event Cakes for those Events. I will never run out of mine, because those Events are so rare that I get more BPS and Cakes than I can actually burn during those Events. And getting 100% Bonus BPs at some point sounds better than storing it for months to MAYBE get a Bloodhunt.

I did consider that BPS are rare-very rare along with people not storing BPS for a blood hunt event. It still points to the final fact that people have become selfish when they do get them as they don't want to give the sweaty players more points when they are looking for fun even outside of the event.

  • My assumptions were correct that the community has become selfish/burned and no longer want to spread the love. We can all thank Behavior for not listening. It really has been a pretty good job so far in splitting the community.

  • image.png

Not saying that the BPS aren't rare. However, it is possible to have this happen in a blood web (I think my second or third time seeing that anomaly ever). It is also possible to just save the BPS for when the double blood point events pop up. The only time I burn BPS is if I plan on going to the next prestige level. Once at P3, I've just sat on BPS unless I get a 4 stack that wants to burn them or this event comes out. I get it that not everybody knows or plans ahead on saving BPS for this once in a blue moon event. It's just strange that after playing this game since late 2017/early 2018 that the stacking of BPS this time around is very low.

  • I can't tell you how many times I still get trades on pallet drops when playing survivor. Playing killer, the exact opposite applies.

  • To nerf spine chill, they would need to expand it. If they reduce the radius, it would make it easier for survivors to know the killer is still very close and they need to move before they get caught. Expanding it would make it more difficult to know how far the killer is. But, they would have to remove at least the gen speed. Doors open fast enough as it is, but I would say remove that too because of the expansion. The only thing that would then matter is the vault speed, which, by then, the killer is already on you.

When did this become a comparison thread? Also why does it matter how hard it is for Killers to get Add-ons?

Most Add-ons for each Killer is useless, except for a few add-ons. Which then many - MANY Killers are add-on dependent on those few add-ons (Ghostface and power CD add-ons), and have a hard time finding them because they have 20+ add-ons to wade through and 40+ Offerings, just trying to find for those 1-3 add-ons.

For Survivors every item is useful for the most important parts of playing Survivor, every add-on makes that main objective better. Survivors don't have an add-on that removes their power to repair generator for a messely 200bp increase that is capped anyways, so it doesn't matter.

In addition that Survivors CAN FIND ITEMS AND ADDONS IN GAME EASILY.

You want a Purple Flashlight? Take Ace in the Hole, take a green broken key, search the basement chest. You practically are guaranteed a green or purple item. Hell even if you didn't take a green key, there is still only 5 common/uncommon items you could get (which is still useful Medkits Toolboxes, and flashlight). Out of 18 items. You have 5/18 chance to get an item that is common/uncommon, but still incredibly useful to your character.

Red rank killer and survivors aren't hurting for BP. They've more than likely have grinded out a copious stockpile of items, add-ons, and offerings on the characters they play on the most. What good does an extra 200-250k per reset do for them? I think the extra BP is best suited for the lower ranks, for sure. If there are red rank players who are hurting for more BP, I'm curious to know. Personally, I'd rather take the extra shards over BP. I'm never hurting for BP.

    @VikingWilson said:

Need to increase bloodpoints game-wide to help with this massive, ever-growing grind, to be honest.

Or rework perks to make them two tiered and not three.

  • @Ludicris said:

Your complaint is getting inventory for Survivors?

Run Ace in the Hole, and farm items while playing. Getting items as Survivor is incredibly easy, and cheap.

It's one of many examples. I know about the chest searching build. I know it's not hard to farm that way, too. But, for killers, they have it a lot easier in stock piling as they don't have to worry about items. All they need are add-ons and offerings. So, for them already being in red ranks constantly after each reset, why would they need more blood points to keep stock piling add-ons faster than they can use them? Red ranks don't need blood points.

It was one example of many. Not just survivors. Second, I know about the chest searching build. It's not hard, indeed. Third, killers have it a lot easier on stocking inventory as they don't have to worry about items. If killers are constantly red ranks each rank reset, they don't need more blood points to stock up on add-ons or offerings they have 100+ of.

  • Why do voice lines matter? I'd rather have a functioning game over simple voice lines with a crap ton of bugs.

  • I think something we can all agree on is to not buy something based off hype. Gaming companies exploit hype to get more money out of you. Just don't fall for the tactic. I didn't buy Ash even thought his MoM was probably the most over powered perk in the game out of any perk that has been released. Look how fast they changed it out of any other perk that has been released? I hope those people got their money's worth out of it. Maybe next time take a step back to wait and see if you want to give Behavior your money. If you think you got duped, that's on you.

As for how good or bad he is, his chains are definitely for loops and not 5 million mile across the map chase catch up (I think you get the over exaggeration). For his teleport, the only time I've been able to counter his teleport is solving the box during pick up/hooking survivors. This is my experience, so far. I didn't play PTB as I don't like being a free Q&A for companies that will probably call you toxic for giving criticisms.

Well, words like racial slurs should be censored but anything else no lol, especially since the censor system blocks out alot of words including survivor/killer names

It's a mature game and we have a report system for a reason. It's like dominos. When one falls, more follow it after. I am completely aware that racial slurs are bad. But, guess what? You aren't going to stop people from using it no matter how hard you censor it. Life always finds a way.

  • I rarely play the game anymore. Second game tonight I found out about it. How does this company still get money from its community to keep going? It's really embarrassing. Behavior is on a gold mine and squanders it like AAA companies such as Activision and EA. But, I guess the top dogs need more yachts and private jets. In Matt's case, he's probably reserving pent house suites every weekend.

The killer Adepts need to be changed 4 kills using only their 3 perks. Forget all this Merciless nonsense.

You mean needs to be changed back to that? As for survivor, how else are they going to label it? Survive while using the survivor's 3 unique perks, doing 3 gens, getting 2 safe unhooks, search a chest, and cleanse 3 totems in a single trial in order to obtain this achievement? Plague was by far the most annoying adept for me. No matter how many times I've wrecked survivors with her, I had to play with my food and felt dirty for it when I finally got it. Was surprised how easy I got it on Demo.

Alright, bye lmfao. If you think an entire graphics overhaul, new killer, new survivor, and a decently sized list of bug fixes is "least amount of work possible", then you are not anyone BHVR or the player base needs.

Who was asking for a graphics overhaul? That's like bottom of the barrel list of things. That's like looking for heated seats in a vehicle rather than looking for a quality engine or fuel efficiency. If you are playing this game on ultra, there's something wrong. I could care less about graphics. Absolutely meaningless. Literally polishing a shiny turd right now. Game play, game play, game play is what should be at the top of the list. They've fixed some things over the years. However, there are still so many things that are taking way too long that should have been fixed by now. But, hey, at least you got your graphics update! Also, the release hype of a new killer and survivor every quarter is more than likely making most people numb to it. People want results in game play first. As for bug fixes, it was a very small list that the only constant one I've seen an issue during game play was getting stuck on the hill (misaligned moris is another but doesn't affect game play). But, hey, at least you get a bug that came back where the killer might not be able to hook the survivor unless they drop the carried survivor, pick them back up, and try again.

Who cares about graphics overhaul. I'd rather pay more attention to fixing game play first. If you can't make a game play bearable, why make a turd sandwich polished? It's meaningless. I'm also not worried about them pumping out new killer and survivors every quarter. I hate seeing timelines anymore as that's just more pumping out quantity rather than quality. Everything about this patch feels meaningless and lazy. I have yet to find one actual good thing about this patch. As for bug fixes, I haven't noticed anything other than creating a bug of not being able to hook a survivor randomly...again. But, hey, you go ahead and keep drinking that kool aid.

  • You can opt out of cross play. It's in the options. I don't know what else to say other than read the patch notes? If you do opt out of cross play, be prepared for the inane amount of waiting for a lobby. It's way worse than what you would be waiting for now. But, I agree with you that most of the cross platform players for my games are absolute potatoes compared to PC players on both sides.

  • I've noticed frames or lag issues on PC playing killer. I had someone try and do a 4 man SWF with x-plat turned off. Took almost an hour for them to find a lobby. It's so obvious when I'm going against a killer who is x-plat as I can easily 360 them compared to a PC killer. Plus, they camp and tunnel way more from my encounters so far. I don't like the x-plat right now. I highly doubt they will fix it.

Are you this entitled to not read my arguments and go for a stupid "you are Just a tunneler that means i am right" argument.

I bet you are the survivor that abuse the perk🤷‍♂️

Just like i said the killer isnt tunneling when the survivor has time doing their objective.

You know when I get to use DS? When a killer is camping and tunneling me. You know when I don't get to use it? When I'm slugged right after being unhooked or they trade with the survivor who just unhooked me. That's not abusing the perk. Again, you are acting entitled that you should be allowed to camp and tunnel after an unhook. I'd rather take my hands off the keyboard and not play against a killer like you without DS or unbreakable. Besides, a good killer would know how to apply pressure. I've played against good ones who don't need to tunnel. Again, get off your soap box.

That doesn't matter if you dont heal yourself its your fault for making yourself an ez target and then you deserve to be focused when the killer finds you.

Are you this entitled that the killer must ignore you because you dont heal and go for a gen immidiately like a gen rusher?

Are you that entitled to feel you deserve to get a kill after knocking someone down after they just got unhooked? You are literally making yourself to being a whiny tunneling killer. I do play killer and I play around DS more than unbreakable. Most common perks I see are DS/BT/DH/adrenaline. The old DS was an immunity because killers had to drop survivors before they could get the skill check off. There was no time limit on when you could use it after the first hook. Now, it's up to 60 seconds. Better yet, play pyramid head. He counters those perks with his cage. Get off your soap box.

  • @bingbongboi90 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1533122#Comment_1533122

60 seconds DS is enough time to fix a gen around 2/3. So it gives immunity for 60 seconds that some people are going use to gen rush.

If you have time to do Gens you are not getting tunneled.

They have to run to said gen after they get unhooked. It's not like it's a total 60 seconds on a gen. You sound like you need to tunnel to get your 4k wins. Immunity means to never pick them up. To counter a tunneler like yourself is good use. Pick your poison. Slug (better option for tunneling) or go after another healthy survivor that you are already chasing.

  • @zyrems said:

i literally only see kids with OoO,ds,unbreakable and dead hard lmfao its hilarious seeing them need crutch perks to live. nerf ds so its a anti tunnel perk not a immunity perk. and make unbreakable slower its way to fast u can literally be off the ground in 5 seconds. like #########

"nerf ds so its a anti tunnel perk not a immunity perk." You know how many times I've gotten tunneled and picked up right after being unhooked? You know why I bring unbreakable? Because I get tunneled and slugged to counter my DS. DS is already an anti-tunnel perk. PLUS, it's from 40-60 seconds of not being tunneled! Where is this immunity you speak of? It's not like it lasts the entire game after getting hooked.

  • So, you are asking for more diversity when there is probably more diversity in this game than most? What if they don't become more diverse the way you want them to be?

  • Just like how there is no counter to an ebony mori? I can hook a survivor, camp, tunnel, and down them in such a short time for an easy free kill early game. Killer's still get about 15k BP even when they get 0 kills and gen rushed. Survivors can get as little as 1-5k getting tunneled and mori'd in the first few minutes of the game.

  • Yeah, how about no. Annoying? Yes. OP? No.

  • Because it starts at 5 minutes compared to the week ban you would give. So you would also give a week ban if somebody had to DC due to an emergency? Sounds like the crime meets your punishment standards. You don't even need to retort with "Well, in that case, obviously no." Even when the DC penalty was working, it would still give that person a 5 minute ban. Bad internet? 5 minute ban. We obviously don't need your week ban standard for one DC. The coding can't tell the difference between emergency/power outage/bad internet/rage quit. That's why it starts at 5 minutes. It's a good way for rage quitters to take that "time out." Still don't learn from your lesson next game? 10 or 15 minute ban. So on, and so on.

  • @BloodMoneyMerc said:

Yeah they received changes, but those perks are still overly strong & game changing (besides dead hard, which I find mostly fair besides that it hard counters bear traps). But DS is not countered by not tunneling. I've had so many times where a survivor somehow still has decisive after me finding & hooking a different survivor. It literally is 60 secs of immunity, granted the survivor doesn't miss the easy skill check. The only counter to it is to slug the survivor or let them get away to work on gens which eliminates any pressure you had with hooked survivors. And if you run Unbreakable with DS, you basically are immune to the slugging part as well. Killers don't have much time to protect gens to begin with, now one perk can single-handly make it hard to even buy back time for yourself. Also, playing 1 killer shouldn't be a solution to a badly designed perk (especially if they're a licensed killer).

It's not a solution to a badly designed perk. I just gave you multiple perks it counters alone. Welcome to pay to win licensed killers.

  • Dude, I have two clips from today to prove your point invalid that they are no longer possible. Don't get me wrong, if a killer is good, they know to look at walls every single time when picking up a survivor. A good survivor would know to go out in the open to get downed to force the killer not to pick the survivor up. However, again, good killers will know this trick and look around for the flashlight save. I don't see many flashlight saves in general myself anymore. But, they still very much happen and is not impossible.

  • So, you are okay with the game dying. Got it.

  • I had a killer call another survivor a hacker for escaping through the hatch with a key they got through searching a chest. Killer was rank 5 with 3k hours in the game. All four of us were so confused with the killers argument. How this killer got to rank 5 and 3k hours in the game without knowing keys exist was beyond all of our IQs combined.

They didnt know i was a r1 when they quit. Dont excuse their behaviour, as far as Im concerned they should be banned for a week. Theyre lucky im not the head of bhvr or tgey would be.

A week ban? They would probably be grateful they don't have to play the game again and move on to something else. If everyone got a week ban for one DC, you might as well kiss the community goodbye.

  • I mean, DS, BT, and dead hard (exhaust) all had changes before ruin. Let alone, how many different types of mends do we have now that act like BT from killer and survivor now? BT is fine as it is along with dead hard for how many times I've seen it screw survivors rather than save them. DS has the easiest counter of all...DON'T TUNNEL THE UNHOOKED SURVIVOR...or play executioner and put them in a cage. BT, DS, we'll make it, kindred, breakout, boil over, deliverance, off the record, sabo, and breakdown perks countered. Can't remember if cage also negates farm forever rescues, too. I think that about covers what pyramid head counters in that aspect.

  • Let's see, you have...Pyramid head who can counter DS, BT, WMI, end infinites, and has a huge time saver mechanic. Nurse who can still blink through walls to end infinites and need one omega blink to fall on top of the survivor they have just hit. Hillybilly is...well, Hillbilly. Oni is like Hillbilly 2.0 minus wall collision penalty and needing to hit survivors. Plague who can counter calm spirit and iron will just shaking the mouse everywhere with her pea soup. Doc who counters hide and seek championship players. And that's just the tip of the iceberg. Huntress hatchet hit boxes (goes both ways, actually). I can go on and on. Do I think killers have it 100% easy? No. I can also go on about OP survivor mechanics, too. I've played mostly survivor and have had my fair share of playing killer, too. I can sympathize with both sides. Get some friends, get on discord, have yourself a grand ol' time BSin' with 'em. You'll see how you will appreciate and hate both sides.

Sounds like your issue is just that the main volume is too low. A friend of mine who's an expert in sound said that you should always leave the in-game sounds maxed and then adjust your OS's settings.

Not really. I can hear my moans and groans all the time when it's not bugged out. It's that (x)% bug chance that I don't hear my groans of pain but my friends can for some reason. I can hear myself and other survivors fall who do not use balanced landing every time. One of the few times I played iron will, I was not making any falling sounds in one game and the next one, I was. When playing killer, I do hear the footsteps and heavy breathing of a running survivor 100% of the time when not in chase. I dislike how much the chase music drowns out those noises unless they are right on top of you minus groaning and grunting pains. I can also hear their whimpers. I don't think it's me needing to turn up the volume if I hear the game completely fine without blasting my ears out.

  • Main volume: 4-6% (plus headset already set to 50%).

    Menu music: 0%

I already have a sound sensitive headset. I hate the opening trailer is at 100% and I skip it all the time. Sometimes, I tab out too long and I have to take my headset off for how ludicrously loud it starts (never personally owned dual monitor). Game play is mostly fine minus the slug music. It's so obnoxious. I wish it was more subtle like the injured music.

    Game play sounds:

    • Free iron will when playing survivor. I don't know if the killer can or can't hear me at that point.
    • No sound when falling from large heights when using iron will. Isn't that supposed to exclusively balanced landing?
    • Not hearing foot steps or heavy breathing survivors when running.

Those are probably my top 3 sound bugs that I experience more often than others.

Personally I try to make it fun. I try fun builds and ######### around with the survivors. I play ghostface so I can do stupid things like t-bag back. I also usually analyze the lobby, map and their playstyle before making a goal for myself. For example if I go farmhouse I can set myself a goal of getting 1 sacrifice because of the map. I try to have realistic expectations like that. And if Im playing like the game or something I can try to go for 3k.

Main thing that I keep in mind is that my enjoyment of the game depends on my mentality. Watching tru3 also helps. The way he reacts to toxic ######### that would've tilted me in the past, has really improved my overall mental.

I try to make it fun, too. But, with how match making is, I go against a lot of red rank survivors who know how to loop. Even if I stop chase and try to find someone else, it's the same result. It gets frustrating after a while. Every so often, I'll find cool ones and have fun with them or just plain potatoes. As far as getting past toxic survivors, it's not that hard getting red ranks as survivor. Killer has to do all the work as I rarely see any red rank killers now. It took a while for me to actually get lobbied with red rank killers whether I was SWF red/high purple ranks or just solo queue. I don't bother trying to get red rank killer anymore as that was a one and done ordeal for me. I'm happy with staying purple tier but constantly get red ranks even when I'm in green. I can understand one red rank in purple. Okay, maybe two. When I see all 4 red ranks constantly, it just gets annoying. It takes 0 skill to get red rank survivor as you have other players to rely on to get objectives done. Let alone, the altruism category really carries your safety pips, in my opinion.

Doing anything too much is depressing. I was a survivor main for all my 100+ levels now I'm hoping over to killer. Try playing survivor. And if you're on PC and want to have a great time laughing add me on Steam. I'm not great but I gurantee you'll having a ba llin even the most asinine games

Edit: I'm cool with doing KYF. No bloodpoints but at least it's funny.

Thank you for the offer to play, first off. I do play way more survivor than killer. That's why when my friends aren't on, I switch to killer to get more of a different point of view and understand each killers abilities more realistically than KYF. That's how I learned about Hillbilly's chainsaw time and being able to 360 it right if they don't mess with the timer. But, like I also said, I'm not afraid to switch to solo survivor after a few killer games. It just feels really lonely compared to playing solo survivor or SWF after a while.

They broke this down a while back didn't they? Weren't there even graphics displaying how the hit cone works?

The 'auto aim' doesn't change -what- you hit, it redirects the camera to show where you -did- hit.

The camera redirect seems to be implemented to insure the player is oriented towards the target of their strike. Not so that the game can ensure the player -has- a target.

To address the lifted survivor thing, I would hypothesize that the camera redirects towards the survivor being lifted by the entity because, for whatever reason, the model is still "allowed" to be hit.

So: killer swings >> game checks for hit >> registers hit on model of character being lifted >> turns view towards model.

Also, why are these threads always so aggressive and...personal, for lack of a better word. It's like people have a rough round, or get frustrated and need to come tell some anonymous-to-them dev to go screw their dog and die.

You all know this is just a game, right?

Aggressive? If a job is done poorly, wouldn't you call it out? Also, nobody has even mentioned about making a threat to a dev in this thread. So, I have no idea where you are getting that from? I find auto aim/"aim dressing" to be the biggest nerf since "dedicated servers" have been released.

  • @Demonl3y said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/135430/please-remove-auto-aim

I hate this auto aim. Always i want to hit the guy who is going to unhook someone, it targets the guy who is getting unhooked but still on the hook. Thats terrible.

This is the biggest offender by far! If that isn't considered auto aim, I don't know what is. Also, you can clearly tell that it's auto aim especially when hitting a survivor being lifted in the air by the entity during the sacrifice. This company is like a government trying to pull the wool over the sheep's eyes when trying to say it is "different." Like trying to become a new Amway with a "different" pyramid scheme.

Who cares as long as it’s a killer problem. Just like mute survivor sound in the dying state, sounds in general, the Wraith-flashlight bug, etc.

It really shows after the Ruin nerf that the devs favor survivors and will cater to their needs, just take a look at how fast DS was fixed when it was bugged with Doctor’s skill checks.

Look how quick they nerfed MoM after Ash was released for about a month or two. How about the doc rework of getting an AOE shock to find survivors right off the bat? Not to mention he's getting a counter-clockwise skill check built in (why this is needed, I don't know). All killers are now going to be able to close a window (killer shack will always be closed on the small maps). I'm glad ruin was finally nerfed. It was so annoying with that perk being more than 75% of my games as survivor. Hell, there were times ruin didn't even matter if survivors were competent in skill checks. It didn't bother me as a survivor as I was competent in skill checks. Every so often, I'd have a bad game and go find it. As far as playing killer, majority of the time, survivors didn't even destroy it. They pushed through it. But, that's just me.

  • Remember the bouquets? It's the new moon offering for those two. It's even worse when playing Freddy. I'd disconnect if I was playing him. Screw the penalty. Why should I be penalized at the incompetence of the developers who can't simply adjust that? I'm glad I rarely get that map. When I do, I just simply say the famous echo chamber slogan at Behavior headquarters...good job so far.

  • I play killer, solo survivor, and SWF. Even when going against SWF, you can count on them being more altruistic than solo players. Just always go for the person who is making the unhook to get around BT. As far as 6 perks for the killer, I would say 5. 6 would give too many combinations for killer to be over-tuned. For example: When I play Billy, I usually choose between BBQ, spirit fury, enduring, PGTW, infectious, and corrupt intervention. Having all six of those perks for me would be insane. Even with 4 of these, Billy is still very good if you know how to end chases quickly. It's honestly give and take with skill and there aren't many red rank killers right now to combat the terrible match making. I'm a red rank survivor going against green ranks. It's the same outcome for me as killer. Green rank killer, red/purple rank survivors. Playing killer, it is more about applying pressure. If you get two survivors down, you are better off looking for the other two survivors and not hooking the two downed players. That's what I've seen a lot lately.

  • I feel when I play killer, there are so many pallets. As survivor, there are hardly any even though I know where the majority will spawn. The Game, Autohaven, Ormund, and Asylum have a ton. It's frustrating for sure.

  • It should be an option to use if you have been slugged for over...90 seconds. My reason:

    1) DS is a 60 second CD max. This gives the killer an extra 30 seconds if they feel that the survivor has DS and the survivor can't use the fast bleed out option right away after the DS CD.

    2) If the killer is BMing the survivor(s) by slugging them, survivors shouldn't have to waste their time sitting there for the whole bleed out timer. I'd rather want to move on to the next game especially if I get crows on my head and not getting picked up.

  • I would love a fast bleed out timer option if being slugged to the last possible second while the killer is hovering over me longer than a DS CD.

  • I just about run unbreakable every match as killers love to slug more often than not these days. Some do it out of strategy/time saving/pressure and I'm okay with that. I dislike it when a killer slugs to hover over your body until the last possible second before bleed just for the sake of wasting time. Those types of players are the minority. But, don't forget about empathy.

  • @Huntar said:

It is not. The survivor will die eventually if they're left on the ground. Holding the game hostage means that the game will never end naturally.

My thoughts exactly. I've had a game where the killer blocked a survivor in one of the rooms on the second floor of Haddonfield or Badham Pre-school. But, that was a loooooong time ago and before end game collapse or the report system. The survivor eventually DC'd as me and the other two survivors did the gens and gates.
