  • Violence to end the violence. Pretty much everyone these days threatens someone else like this. Join another lobby get points farm BPS then use those to farm more BP. I got a few games like that also that's life bad things and good things.

  • The problem is when you meet toxic survivors that want to D-Rank and they ruin the game. The killer needs at least a safety pip and the dc-ing wont help him. So here is to nontoxicity among the players. Dont dc, dont camp, dont bm etc.

And in that situation, that’s EXACTLY what I’d want you to do. Because if you do, you’ll lose.

That's also true. Imagine if you hook one and you chase another survivor away from the hook another survivor has to come and take him down and heal him and that takes time off the generator. You take the other survivor down and put him on a hook and start over that costs time on their part. If you get a SWF with BNP not much you can really do not even camping will help you on that side. FYI I don't usually use BNP but when i do they blow up in 2 secs xD.

  • The hate and toxicity never ends. I bet you guys are pretty " cool " face 2 face. The whole post is full of salt and the words " git gud " and " butthurt " . Pretty good education so far.

  • They deserved the " camp " . Doing stuff like that? Jesus... Don't camp survivors that try to play normally. But these creatures deserved it. I would've done the same. And I'm 100% against camping. If they did something to get camped they deserved it. What can I say... Practice makes it perfect. Try and understand that not all survivors are like that and not all killers are a-holes.

Yours may be legit, absolutely, but not everyone's is. So a blanket rule is needed. Did you submit your video to moderators?

Pointless. They will say "report ingame". In game report system is not working. Its loop. You cant send it via e-mail neither.
So its "do-all-you-like" to hackers. Sad.

    @Orion said:
Name-and-shame is not allowed, period. There's a proper way to report players for cheating. Witch-hunts are not tolerated, as it should be.

No, there is literally ZERO way to report players for cheating. In game report system dont even have category for possible hacking, if that would be case that its working now. Witch hunts are one thing, proper accusation with proofs on video are whole another story. Name and shame have legit reason then. If this system is protecting more hackers than fair players, that rule is IMHO just wrong.

There is a way to report players for cheating. The fact that you don't see insta-bans is what makes you and other people believe that reports don't work. Guess what? The devs have to sift through the evidence. You are not judge, jury, and executioner. Name-and-shame all you'd like, it'll just get you banned.

I want to be heard. So tell me the way to report players for cheating? In game? How to do that with video proof?
I have no interested to be jury or executioner, I want devs starting to take anti-cheat protection seriously and guess what? They don't. Pls point me to the judges. I want to have their time to hear me out and get them my evidence....
PS: And btw. the guy I caught doing it its apparently doing it for months (reddit post with same steam ID asking if its legit). Thats for "insta-bans"

Yes, I know you want to be heard. It's the same with everyone who names-and-shames or posts "how-to" guides for hacks and exploits. They want to be heard, and they think the best way to do that is to break the rules and help damage the game further. Fact is, it just gets you banned.

They do take anti-cheat protection seriously. EAC works just like VAC, in that it looks for known cheats and the basic fundamentals of how cheating works. New cheats are added to its database so they can be properly found. The devs have explained time and time again how to report cheaters. If you really want to learn, go watch their streams until you find the right one; the most recent one where they explain it.

PS: The main reason cheaters get away with it is people like you, who don't use the proper channels to report people, or otherwise don't even try to report people. What you're doing, naming-and-shaming, is equivalent to driving up to BHVR's HQ, yelling the information from a megaphone, and then expecting them to take action.

Break the rules? Are you even believing what you just said? They don't break or bend the rules to get heard they do it because they enjoy it. Perfect education so far.
Also this is some proof https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dcC2EWcIrik
    Song on point tho' xD

Interesting you should bring it up....I actually believe the Devs implemented a stealth buff recently. I feel 2 things have changed, one of those could be an either or effect.

    1) Survivor hitboxes. What did hit a month ago, now doesn't hit. No SB, no DH, just a whiff, and nothing but air. It's almost as if I got too close and swung my arms around the survivor. It's not just me either. I've seen it happen to 3 YouTubers that had the exact same result, and the exact same reaction. Hell, I've only been playing Hillbilly for 2 years now....did they think I wouldn't notice my chainsaw not hitting....even WITH the extension.

    2) Base survivor speed, and or, the SB after being hit. Man, after a hit, survivors are taking OFF. I mean, literally, 1/3 the length of a medium map. I hit a Claudette today coming out of the shack on Ironworks.....I'm not joking, she made it past the wood pile and into the debris just before the 2 story before I recovered. I should have taken a video of it. I know each map is "different".

So to the question: Yes, there is something frustrating about the game currently that didn't seem as obvious to me three months ago. How do I unwind? Well, I don't really get excited in the first place. Sounds like BS right? Sounds too easy right? Okay, okay....here's what I do. Remember that guy in PUBG that was screaming his ass off at other players for "camping"? "DO YOU THINK THERE IS a $1000 REWARD FOR THE GAME?! NO ON IS GONNA PAY YOU"! I try to take that guys advice actually. Turning salt into sugar, I play with a more carefree attitude. I play deliberately, just to see what happens. I might leave a survivor slugged, KNOWING he is going to be healed. I might not kick a gen. I might not hook a survivor...just turn in circles helicopter style. I, honestly, listen to that guy.....I've stopped treating this game like a very serious "check list"....do this, now do that, if they do this, I have to do that.

Side note, I don't care about rank though. Actually, I've dropped from rank 5 down to 11 just BSing, and it's been hilarious. Perspective man.....just a game. It's not a tournament, you have no viewers, you have no sponsors, you (hopefully) didn't bet a dime on it, and your family doesn't base their respect on the outcome.

    @ the 02:06 mark

Give this man a prize for what he just said . Like I've always said, play for the fun and learn from what you didnt do right. Have some damn fun its a video game and thats all. You paid to have fun not to lose your mind. I had a game earlier with a hillbilly on lerys. Had the best time ever ! I walked into a locker while he chainsawed me he then started to hit the locker and noded at me but he didnt open it but i laughed so hard at what happened, i actually had fun. Fyi 2 guys went out and i wasnt one of them. I still had fun.

Do you consider a killer standing 50 meters+ away from the hook as camping ?
Because it seems like the definition of "camping" by a lot of players.
In that case, ye, you possibly got "camped" for the last 50 matches.

Tbh when I play, I nearly never get camped/tunneled.
I only remember 1 match over my 40 last matches where I couldn't get unhooked, and the guy had a mori and only killed me in the match lol.

No, i count it as a camp if i literally see him in front of me or in a corner waiting to attack.

You're not the only one... Trust me. It's a stupid strategy that works or so it seems, works just like Adrenaline, DS, SC, SB, DH, BL, UE, BT, Lithe etc. Just take Premonition, Deja Vu, Plunderers and Calm Spirit ( Kappa ). You can't use any of those perks. I had one killer who told me " I camped you because you had BL and BT " well okay then... Says the one with ruin and bbq. But hey survivors are not allowed to complain on camping but bad killers complain on swf and other stuff like that. Killers camp at all ranks. The least killers to camp are between rank 12 - 5. Other than that... Good luck and hopefully have fun.

  • @epicassassin said:
Tbh the exhaustion change makes it feel more realistic. Even in real life you have to slow down/stop running to get rid of exhaustion. Don't get it why people complain.

You compare a real life situation to a game? They even said " It's just a game ". If they hang you in a hook you through the chest you'd probably die. If the killer hits you with a cattle hammer in the head I think you go on the ground instantly etc. You get my point? It's just a game after all this goes to all tryharders who think that the end of the world comes with nerfs, losing pips etc. You gain nothing from pips and you lose nothing. GL & HF

  • Okay so camping is legit. Facecamping is also legit. SWF are also legit, flashlights, bm, meta perks on survivors also legit. Killers don't cry and survivors don't cry then. I'm getting facecamped at rank 2 for having BL, BT, SC and Leader.

  • How about the devs bring a killer that hooks every survivor and kills them at the start of the trial?

  • so camping isn't BM but survivors with meta perks and flashlights = BM. The reason why survivors started running DS so they would deny the possible camp from the killer. As long as camps are legit so do SWF and other stuff survivors do. They are called survivors afterall.

  • Just to add something to your problem. Don't rush and buy all the skins you want. They will introduce new skins every new chapter with a certain theme. IMO you should not waste money on cosmetics and your problem is solved. BHVR isnt the only one using this tactic btw.
  • Do you finally see what your game currently is?

We, the players, have spent years playing your game. Testing it, and telling you what needs to change, and you ignore the core problems while distracting everyone with cosmetics and changes that don't affect the core gameplay problems you created.

Do you understand why the Nurse was the most played killer in that sad excuse for a tournament? Because looping is a core problem that she completely ignores.

Do you understand why the matches were so quick? Because the generators are not enough to facilitate clashes between the players. Survivors need an additional task, or the killer needs a core mechanic that can create an additional task for them.

Everything else is a symptom of these two problems. Fix them. Find a way to make chases more than "ring around the rosy" and slow down the matches so killers have time to play and survivors aren't just diddling with generators for the entire match. These changes might even make SWF groups less powerful than they so obviously are.

We want to play DbD, we want to enjoy playing it, we want you to listen to us. Fixing these two things will make DbD so much more fun and challenging to play.

We'd love to play it competitively in tournaments, but balance it first. Make it fun first. Fix the core gameplay issues first.

I implore you. Find a way to change this frustrating, boring, and stagnant gameplay, or watch as your long-time players continue to leave for other games.

I don't speak for everybody blah blah, this is my opinion blah blah, I'm just tired of the nonsense blah blah

Totally agree also fix the camping issue and remove insidious. Frustrating indeed.

i stopped rading after "I've come up with this idea for a way to nerf camping and i'd like to know what people think as well as ways to improve it and weather it would work.". Honestly, as soon as you said the word "nerf", this post died for me. Killers dont need more nerfs! They had more than enough already! just give them a little bonus for not camping.
for example: i heard a lot of people telling the devs, that survivors should simply not loose life on the hook, when they are in the killers terrorradius (thats obviously a nerf), but why dont they make it, so hooked survivors outside the terrorradius loose their life twice as fast than normal (same idea, but instead of punishing the killer for staying close, you reward them for going away) and maybe give them some negative effects (like -5% speed for healing, sabotaging and rapairing) for each time they got hooked (so its actually bad that you already got hooked, since it makes you less effective. right now there is no difference between a survivor who already got hooked and a survivor who never got hooked)
long story short: stop trying to f*cking nerf the killers. IT IS NOT A GOOD IDEA! otherwise the killers will quit and the game will die.

    EDIT: fixed some grammar issue

How long does it take to get a good 4 men lobby? You're explaining me camping isn't bad but it just kills the fun for one side. They're already nerfing the survivors. Remember not having survivors kills the game also just a little FYI. Also toxicity among survivors started from killers camping and so on a neverending circle of hate. You can't have one side without the other. Some of the streamers came with an idea of giving a debuff to the survivors. I got an idea about gen rushing as well. After a gen is done 20 sec all other gens are blocked from getting done and/or started but the killer can kick them and the regression is faster. Camping is just the BM of killers just like survivors bully the killer.

Seems like the obvious thing to state but keep the madness up as high as you can on as many survivors as you can. When you're in treatment mode you passively increase the madness of survivors within your terror radius. Hit each survivor you find with a few shocks, then swap to the stick to beat them.

Perks wise it depends what you want to do. You can make a build that causes merry skill check hell for survivors with the perks plus madness. Ruin, huntress' lullaby, unnerving presence and overcharge. Plus skill checks jumping all over the screen with madness.

But you can use a lot of different perks which work well with Doc. Someone in another threat mentioned
using nurse's calling and shocking them behind cover etc.

Probe gens with shocks whenever you can. In chases throw a few shocks, just one or two, to get madness nice and high in case they evade you then chase with bat. If you want to, blast survivors as they approach windows or pallets as it stops them using them for a moment after they're shocked. Pay attention to the screams from madness when searching for survivors. Add-on wise its up to you really. Personally, I prefer to go for some extra range and improve the Doc's clones to keep track of survivors.

There are better people than me to ask for tips :)

Thanks again for the generous tips !

  • @StalwartXX said:
Personally, never have any issues when playing the Doc. One of my favourite killers and I can consistently do well with him as he is. I wouldn't object to a movement speed buff on him mind you haha.

Thanks. Any advice on how to get better with the Doc?

  • @Nick said:
Flashlight and decisive and still getting dicked on by a rank 18 Wraith with 1 useless perk and no good addons. Might just be you I'm afraid.
I totally agree with the changes, I'm a survivor main myself, but I'd like bit more of a challenge. This is just easy mode now.

    Amen to that!

  • @Jaykaytee said:
The changes to DS and self-care is #########. Get new ideas and stop focusing on only rank 20 killers and start focusing on good killer and good survivors. TBH fix the ranking system its useless if you are a rank 10 you play with rank 20 most likely and all the good survivors will stay at rank 20 and bully new killers cuz they DONT PIP

No offense but you can go on ranking up without DS at least. Self-care is probably a little harsh for new players. I might suggest what a friend ( Mr. Locker ) that plays this game also suggested for the self-care. Each time you stop the healing for every 0.25 seconds it regresses 2-3%. As of DS they should've kept the skill check and the no mither concept about it also I might add you being forced on using it the first time or not at all. That's just my opinion.

  • Also about the SB thing I totally agree with. Im using lithe myself makes it more rewarding. Its gonna be harder now tho' since they play on nerfing all of the exhaustion perks. I find the calm spirit and bitter murmur interesting with the new changes when they'll put them in Im gonna give them a try for sure.

  • Nick said:

Is anyone going to use the new perks in the mid chapter patch? There are a few interesting ones :)

I find deja vu interesting might give it a try. Also this would bring the green map back in usage
  • I see a lot of killer mains around here talking about how good the changes are to survivors yet they cry over tinkerer on the other post. You get a perk nerf the survivors get multiple. I dont cry over them. Change and adapt. Simple as that survivors are entitled to survive and killers are entitled to kill. Im kinda sick of seeing camping killers in high ranks when I would expect it in lower ranks. If this is gonna fix the camping issue then I have no problem with it. As for " I'm camping cause I need to " no you dont that's how bullying survivors came to be. These changes are welcomed. All of them including the killer changes.
  • And you can't play without music against a billy? Killers need so much skill these days while survivor is just meh... You wanna nerf BBQ? You sure you don't wanna nerf ruin also? You hear the chainsaw you move quietly no scratchmarks no nothing stand still count then move somewhere else. This is the reason why I only see billys and nurses in high ranks.
