As the title says, this is my final attempt to make the luck mechanic still usable and healthy from a gameplay standpoint at the same time. Why? My favorite survivor perk build was essentially a luck build. Up The Ante, Ace In The Hole, Slippery Meat, and Plunderer's Instinct since Feb. 2017. Say what you will, but I think the go-next epidemic is what is prompting the change to Slippery Meat0 comments 31 views last activity

For clarification, when a map is "boosted", it means the odds of loading into that map are higher than all of the other maps when considering no other offerings being used. Onto the discussion point. Genuinely curious about this one since we have already seen the case about maps being boosted before (i.e. RPD, Dead Dawg Saloon). That was previously unannounced (as far as I'm aware). Now, a rece0 comments 71 views last activity

Due to the character limit on the forums, the only way I can share this lore analysis with anyone interested is through a link to the Google Doc. Here it is: https://docs.google.com/document/d/13La96e5xB2zjqDxLPygJEF4HCFJVdAKvikpEOFxoE0M/edit?usp=sharing This is an extremely long post and like I say in the overview for these things, not all of this information is confir0 comments 142 views last activity

Overview: This guide will review the basics of one of the game’s oldest mechanics: Luck. We will be talking and discussing what luck affects, perks and powers revolving around luck, how to properly use luck, and ask various questions such as is it balanced or does it need any changes? Important to Note/Credibility: I have been “maining”/primarily using a luck setup on survivor since Feb1 comments 1,923 views last activity

I just finished one match as Singularity and was having extreme trouble tagging a survivor with a biopod even though I was clearly looking at them. This happened on the Toba Landing map. Has anyone else experienced this lately? Update: Played a second match on grim pantry and the same scenario happened. I was only able to tag someone when they were in point blank range.0 comments 22 views last activity

So one piece of advice that a lot of people follow when they play survivor is this: "Whoever has the least amount of times they have been hooked should go for the save." If we follow this advice, then the people who have been hooked more than others would repair generators instead of saving. However, I have been noticing a lot more often that sitting on a generator makes you an easier target3 comments 141 views last activity

Sometimes, the item you get is a very rare item instead of just sticking to rare items. I managed to get a ranger medkit with a syringe. Is it nice? Yes, but this power creeps plunderer's instinct and ace in the hole. Therefore, it should probably be changed. Not changing it removes the sense of decision-making when it comes to which perks to use, something I feel is an important element to this0 comments 71 views last activity

Although the perk says you have a chance to scream again and reveal the killer's aura for an extra 2 seconds, the perk does not specify the specifics. Specifically, players have a 50% chance to scream again for the bonus 2 seconds of aura reading. I think the perk can be a little more specific.2 comments 21 views last activity

Overview: On the surface, some people may not have much to say about someone in particular. However, if you take a closer look, then the words that someone initially said would have drastically changed. Adam Francis is a very straightforward, yet mysterious individual who many glance over. What many fail to recognize is that Adam Francis may be one of the most important pieces to the overall s7 comments 732 views last activity

Overview: This chapter concept is tied within the Red Forest, following the story of two characters; a young woman who longs to reunite with her mother and a peculiar man with a particular appreciation for pottery and other valuables. This chapter includes a new Survivor, a new Killer, and a new map on the Red Forest Realm. It is worth mentioning that this is a long post, so feel free to skip1 comments 225 views last activity

On October 9, 2021, I quit Dead By Daylight. I reached a point, a limit, whatever you want to call it that I just couldn't play the game anymore. However, after taking some time off to focus on myself and other things in my life, I overall improved my life. I don't even know why I'm posting this. I guess I just felt like sharing this with whoever is interested. Sometimes, I think a break is the b1 comments 41 views last activity

In other words, how many of each type of DLC do you like getting per year? How many of the 4 do you prefer to be licensed and how many do you prefer to be original? Personally, I have always preferred original DLCs, but still like getting a licensed character on occasion, so I would normally prefer 3 original and 1 licensed. What about you?8 comments 61 views last activity

Overview: While being one of multiple survivors to have been focused more in the Archives, Meg Thomas is still one of the most mysterious survivors for a couple specific reasons. She may seem like a fairly simple character on the surface, being commonly depicted as someone who competes in competitive sports to obtain a reputation. However, a closer look at her background suggests differently.1 comments 1,144 views last activity

Note: Due to this post initially being too long, I had to split it into two separate parts. Part 1 will include a survivor, Burhan Nikon and killer, The Clawer, while part 2 will include the second killer I intended to include, The Devourer. Hi, I wanted to give my thoughts on The Trapper's possible new look. Here is the possible new look in case you haven't seen it yet: As someone who has been a Trapper Main from the start, I like just about everything, but one thing; the mouth on the new mask. Something about it seems off to me and I think that it might be a bit too narrow compared to the0 comments 32 views last activity

Overview: The purpose of the following suggested changes is to help reduce the grind for all players, resulting in making many players happy. The Grind Cube would feature 6 quality of life updates to help reduce the grind in ways that I believe would be acceptable. This concept of adding changes to things was also done in previous projects done by the devs such as ‘The Victory Cube’ and ‘The W0 comments 11 views last activity

This is a question that has been lingering in my head for a while and wanted to get the community's thoughts. Maybe with this poll, something could change. I personally believe perk tiers should be removed. It can significantly decrease the grind and can make a lot of the player base happy. With this, you would only have to unlock each perk once and they would be at tier 3 from the start.24 comments 201 views last activity

This thought came up in my mind not too long ago and I personally think it would be interesting. Maybe the developers could do it for a chapter released in Fall, Winter, or Spring, but I think since this would be a new and big deal, it may end up being reserved for an Anniversary Celebration for DBD. I sort of picture it like the developers showcase around 3 survivors and killers and we as the co6 comments 111 views last activity

Overview: Dead By Daylight’s universe being as vast as it is raises many questions such as what the background for certain survivors or killers are or if there are some characters out there that we have yet to meet. Here is the concept change presented by the devs in case you missed it: A supernatural bond links you to the Killer. Whenever your aura is revealed to the Killer, the Killer's aura becomes revealed to you. If you are the obsession, your aura is revealed to the Killer for 3 seconds once every 40/35/30 seconds. Increases the odds of being the Obsession.15 comments 132 views last activity

I have seen a lot of discussions going on about people wanting Decisive Strike to be nerfed. It has been on a lot of peoples' minds for quite some time so I figured I would try to rise up to the challenge and attempt to provide what I believe would be a fair nerf for Decisive Strike. Overview: In celebration for my 100th post on the Dead by Daylight Forums, I figured I would create 3 entire chapter concepts. However, over the past few months, I got caught up with a bunch of stuff and I only managed to fully complete one chapter concept. If you begin healing someone at the start of their health state and immediately use For The People, Second Wind only counts the progress of the normal heal that you did for a split second. I understand that Second Wind should not be active if you use For The People on someone who has partially been healed already, but I think this buff wouldn't be too much if Second Wind also accepted healing pro2 comments 11 views last activity

Overview: There are many characters throughout the story and lore of Dead by Daylight. Some characters we know a lot about while others we know hardly anything about them. One of the characters that has such little information provided is Jake Park, and rightfully so. Jake is known to be one of the more quiet people out of all of the survivors and this is further implied by two of his perks, I4 comments 1,723 views last activity

Do you think you have found your specific main/favorite character in the game or do you think your main is still waiting to be added? Trapper has been my main since the beginning. As an FYI, I earned two legacy pieces back in 2016: Legacy Skin 1 and Legacy Skin 2 for Trapper (Trapper's Cleaver and Trapper's Mask as Legacy Items). Around this time of the year in 2017, I lost my legacy cosmetics to the progress loss bug. With another set of 3 survivor perks and 3 killer perks coming into the game, we will be at a grand total of 80 survivor perks and 72 killer perks. Overview: Throughout the past few years that Dead by Daylight has been out, there was one character that was introduced to the community; The Alchemist. A lot of people have different views when it comes to "winning" a game of DbD as killer. From simply pipping, to getting 4 stacks of BBQ, many people have their own perspective on what counts as a win. Personally, I feel like 3-4 kills is a win, 2 kills is a tie, and 1-0 kills is a loss, but I'm genuinely curious as to what others think is a win.16 comments 1,151 views last activity

Overview: After revisiting a game that I played a little while ago, I noticed a subtle, yet noticeable detail included in the game. The game I revisited was Payday 2. In case you don’t already know, Payday 2 did some sort of collaboration with Dead by Daylight to promote both of their games back in 2016. Recently, there has been some talk about whether keys are too powerful or if they are fine where they stand right now.
