DBD_-_Hillbilly_rework.docx Attached is a collaboration between the Billy community members to form a cohesive and objective outline of Billy's current state as well as what he needs to finally be back in his prime. Despite the overheat change he is still a mid tier killer thats only viable against good players with 2 add-ons and has only 2 other add-ons that offer an effe9 comments 522 views last activity

What makes DBD fun is the chase, both chasing survs and being chased by the killer are the most fun things in the game. Thus, a fun to vs and play killer is one that is: 1. Skillful to utilize and master; so that there's plenty of room to improve on the killers end and you can respect the time they put in from the survs end And 2. Reliable counterplay and ability to punish survs mistakes; so t55 comments 1,904 views last activity

And if I see one more person say skybilly should be bannable I just assume you haven't been against one. It's one of the few fun things about this game that's always changing. It's an art almost.18 comments 561 views last activity

Don't. But in all seriousness if you're seriously wanting to improve as Billy here's some things you'll need to know. 1. Be prepared to lose. A lot. When starting out you need to get familiar with Billy's chainsaw and this takes a lot of time. Don't feel bad when you lose and don't resort to just m1ing everyone. Pay attention to survivor patterns and as you get more advanced you can use th13 comments 1,054 views last activity

"Health is Wealth": Your past experiences taught you to stay focused at the task at hand, making you forget your wounds. While repairing a generator in the injured state, skill check frequency is increased by 20% and each great skill check you hit progresses your heal progress by 5/10/15%. This effect caps at 75% heal progress. "When push comes to shove" You know what it feels like to get pu8 comments 151 views last activity

There were no offerings in any of the six games and I just so happened to be playing Billy. Most of the games went pretty well for the most part considering how I'm Billy. I dc'd my last game I'm not playing that map again. Am I just getting super unlucky or is there a bug right now1 comments 41 views last activity

The killer is not camping if he is in the process of leaving and sees someone going for save and decides to pressure the hook. You're impatient and didn't wait till he left that's on you6 comments 141 views last activity

Separate your drop pallet, interact, and pick up item buttons. It makes life significantly easier. Also, change skillcheck to one of the face buttons. It makes hitting them greats easier and saves your bumpers as the bumpers are more likely to wear out than the face buttons. Also also make vault/drop pallet clicking the right stick (recommendation) it allows you to be able to have better control30 comments 671 views last activity

Trapper is one of my favorite killers and though he is weaker than most of the roster I still think he is very strong when in the right hands. However before I start I must say this rapper is the killer that kind of slightly relies on the survivors you go against. If you get a very attentive team you will find it very hard to get value out of your traps which can result in a loss. You'll also hav1 comments 51 views last activity

Today is the start of a small little blog series I'll be doing here on the forums in which I'll be addressing major issues in the game. These issues could be about the game itself or its community and my goal is to offer an unbiased viewpoint and journalism about the state of the game and it's community. Today's entry is about competitive dead by daylight. In the following paragraphs I will be ta0 comments 32 views last activity

There is 0 excuse once you have over a thousand hours to not know what all the perks and addons do. No reason whatsoever. It's amazing to me how many survivors with 3k hours or even more don't know what killer addons do. That tells me you never play killer. Im a big advocate for playing both sides due to this. Playing both sides makes you better at your main role. There's no excuse when you have47 comments 431 views last activity

This is the biggest problem that I see in endgame chats and on console DMs. People acting like the way that you play the game was a direct attack on them. Tunneling for instance, the only time that I tunnel is when there is two or less gens left And I need somebody dead. That is it. You just so happened to be the person that is now on death hook. If any other of your teammates were also on death28 comments 431 views last activity

I've been running this m1tress build on stream and I haven't lost a game(16 wins ATM) Idk if players just don't expect it or what but it's a meme build! IM NOT SUPPOSED TO WIN! Build is BBQ, stbfl, devour, and ruin with double Iri addons. Waste a hatchet immediately when the game starts to get the 115% movement speed then play like an m1 killer. The fun comes when you find your obsession. Once yo7 comments 81 views last activity

Comprehensive List of the reasons why a good nurse is infinitely more fun to go against than a Spiri1. With nurse you get notified of her power visually and audibly in chase and with spirit you don't. 2.Nurse has semi reliable Counterplay and though every Chase is a guessing game for both spirit has no reliable Counterplay. With nurse you break Los and try to predict where you think she thinks youre gonna go. Then do the opposite. If you read her wrong you get hit. If you don't you get away un46 comments 621 views last activity

I was playing wraith in red ranks and came across a 4man. They played well and brought it to end game where I clutched out a 3k I let one get out through gate. In endgame chat they expressed that wraith was broken and way too strong but...I don't see his changes as a negative at all. They took what made him kinda weak and made these aspects better. As well as some QOL changes. I play both sides a24 comments 381 views last activity

Stop taking this game so seriously especially in soloq. Laugh at your bad teammates. Help the babies get on the gen and stop urban evading. Let them know it's okay. Meme with the killer if they meme with you. Don't be mad when you die. Don't worry about rank. Just play. It makes it so much more fun. Especially when you watch your teammates throw. Nothing's better than being in a great spot then h0 comments 31 views last activity

Second wind doesn't seem all too impactful but when combined with a certain set of perks it's quite strong and has saved my live and helped out my team so many times. My build is Second wind, Resilience, DH, and DS. While injured I get a 9% buff to everything and have deadhard and DS. The point of the build is to maximize efficiency on gens by decreasing heal time and maximizing chase potential w1 comments 51 views last activity

Now before I start, I agree with J-flicking being removed soon as it lowers the skill ceiling of blight and makes him boring to play against imo. Playing as blight J-flicking is a blast. You feel so strong especially if you run alchemist ring and infectious and start chaining hits. However, even as I killer main I acknowledge that its unfun to play against when someone is good at it. Step 1: play as survivor in a public match. Step 2 : Bring coldwind offering to get Thompson House Step 3 : In-game, find killer and lead them behind the staircase and let them down you. (Only happens when basement doesn't spawn in main building) Step 4 : Once downed make sure your against the staircase and notice the killer can't pick you up. Doing the objective isn't toxic. If survivors do gens fast it's either on you or game design. For instance on redforest with no mobility it's not uncommon that 3 gens pop after your first chase. It's a big map. However if you commit to a chase for 2-3 gens worth and finally down someone don't get mad when they did gens. They did the ONLY thing they can do in that situation. For survivors, I don11 comments 151 views last activity

In the bathroom area on the bottom floor the back broken wall that connects both both rooms is too small for the killer (Was wraith) don't know about other killers but survivors knew about it and when they got there they were completely safe.0 comments 11 views last activity

So I decided to do some solo queue before bed after playing killer all night. (Mistake numero uno) It's on Ormond the games going well 3 gens and no hooks and 2 of those gens were popped while I was being chased. It was a newer trapper so he wasn't great but he ended up getting me because I dropped the only pallet left on that corner of the map and was deadzoned. I'm thinking the games pretty m2 comments 81 views last activity

The undying rework is actually more what I want from behavior when it comes to balance. Undying is still useful and will prolong hex totems while still providing some info. They brought thrill back so it's still useful if you want a hex build. Now for ruin undying you will only need to break 2 totems at most which I think is a fair trade for how powerful ruin undying was. The combo is still stron0 comments 122 views last activity

For those of you that haven't seen me here, I'm a huntress main with about 3.8k hours as I'm typing this. I've played huntress pretty much exclusively for about 2k of those hours. And now I'm deciding to put my baby to rest and perfect a new killer. I've played all killers and can win with all of them but I'm leaving it up to you guys. Who will be my next main?11 comments 91 views last activity

Hello all! If you haven't seen any of my posts I'm a rank one huntress with a little over 3k hours in the game. Devs have announced various add on changes and reworks for killers in the future and huntress was on that list. I'm here to provide insight and ideas/opinions. Let's address the elephant in the room. The word tunneling and camping and toxic gets thrown around a lot and I want to state from an unbiased pov what those term in the right context mean. For killers, a survivor is not labeled as a toxic player unless they make it very obvious by gameplay or In end game chat their intend is to harass you i.e cursing and calling names in endgame chat, constantly teabagging and flashlight clicking, D0 comments 31 views last activity

There is a massive disconnect between killers and survivors. We all know this. We all fight constantly about perks, game balance ideas, gameplay changes, etc. Now I have over 6k hours in the game. About 1k on survivor the remaining 5 on killer and have reached red ranks on both. This disconnect isn't just between the sides either it's between ranks. Is it just me or do I get hit through pallets and windows SIGNIFICANTLY more on console. Idk what it is but on pc vaults feel clean and when I get hit it looks like it connects. But on console for some reason it's so much worse and I get hit so much more often. Is there a reason that it may seem this way? Or is the lower frame rate just making it appear like they are further than they are when th1 comments 41 views last activity

Now I could just be aiming wrong I haven't extensively practiced on the map in a custom or anything but a lot of the pallet loops on Auto haven that look like they can be thrown over can't because of an invisible wall that cucks you. I have about a thousand hours on her and I've never had issues throwing over these loops. This combined with the los blockers on that map make it very hard to win ag24 comments 421 views last activity

Now hear me out. I've been playing console for years and recently made the move to pc. The main issue I've always had with playing killer on console is the default deadzones (sensitivity of the sticks as determined by the game) Is astronomically big as well as the response curve being far too linear. For M1 killers this isn't too much of a problem. But for killers like huntress this makes her har0 comments 11 views last activity
