I think that more survivor perks should cause exhaustion. Specifically, Borrowed Time. Exhaustion perks are activatable second chances or superhuman boosts. Unhooking someone in the terror radius with BT should give the rescuer exhaustion and give the rescuee exhaustion if the get hit while under protection. And of course you can't give BT while exhausted.5 comments 51 views last activity

What perk or perks should be part of the killer/survivor basekit and why?24 comments 221 views last activity

Here's a perk idea: Thanatophobia, but the penalty is for every healthy survivor instead of every injured/hooked/downed survivor. I think this would be a lot more interesting and useful, since for the killer it slow down gens in the early game, and for survivors, it forces them to choose between the security of healing and the speed of not healing.6 comments 131 views last activity

Yesterday I was playing solo survivor at ranks 4 and 5. First game, I get a rank 20 killer. Second game, I get a rank 20 killer. Third game, I get a rank 20 killer. This is just ridiculous. Those killers got absolutely bullied (first one didn't get a single down) and I feel horrible about it. They didn't have fun. I didn't have fun. I didn't even get through challenges because I was doing t4 comments 71 views last activity

So after getting Ironworks 3 times in a row without anyone using offerings, I was feeling pretty frustrated with that stupid window that you just can't mindgame or play around. Now obviously the best solution would be to remove these types of windows- the devs obviously know they're a problem since they're only on the MacMillan Estate and Coldwind Farm. But reworking maps takes time, and so I hav0 comments 31 views last activity

Given the continued toxicity in the Dead by Daylight community, the Ruin Wars, and the widespread discontent with the developers' regime, I, AAAAA, declare that Dead by Daylight belongs to The Players, whose rule shall be codified in this post. Article 0 This is a coup. Please do not resist. Article I This post shall be updated by and maintained regularly by The Guardian of the Constitution.86 comments 461 views last activity

When I was on the PTB I noticed a significant delay between when the shock therapy finished charging and the wave appeared and when it affected survivors. You could look like you hit a survivor, but if they weren't still in the wave a second or two later, they wouldn't be affected. Am I the only one seeing this? And if not, is this intentional or not?8 comments 181 views last activity

I think this Ruin change is going to backfire horribly on BHVR. Regardless of whether you like the Ruin change or not, I've seen a lot of killers on the forums saying they're going to do a lot more tunneling, slugging, and camping. When I was a survivor, I didn't enjoy Ruin. But I enjoyed it a lot more than being decamped by a Leatherface. Killers whose priority is winning are going to get a lo42 comments 1,661 views last activity

Why are people not allowed to swear on the forums when there are swears in the game? The quote for the perk Left Behind is "I'm not horse-shittin' around. I'm doing this alone!". I might get in trouble for quoting a game in a forum about that game!9 comments 112 views last activity

So one thing I've seen a lot when a killer complains about getting DSed (whether a legitimate complaint or not) is there will always be someone who says "just don't tunnel lol". So my question is, should killers just tunnel and say "just bring DS lol" if anyone complains?29 comments 441 views last activity

I had what I assume is a glitch in my first killer game on the PTB. I got flashlight blinded and the overlay didn't go away. Could barely see anything. It even persisted into the post game. Like I said, 70% sure this is a bug. I just hope I didn't give them an idea for an add on...3 comments 121 views last activity

Okay so I don't like the Ruin changes, and I haven't made up my mind about Doc or Lery's. But I LOVE this new menu/waiting music for the goo ol' zappy boi. It's so dark and ominous and unsettling and I love it!0 comments 11 views last activity

Hey devs, I'm a new survivor and one thing that really annoys me is pallets. I'll be running from the killer and someone will drop a pallet in front of me. Please remove pallets. Sincerely, a frustrated new survivor.0 comments 21 views last activity

So, Auric Cells compose The Entity and its world, right? They're the magicky doohickies that provide an answer whenever someone asks "how does The Entity do X?". But why are they called Auric Cells? Auric means relating to an aura, but what does this tell us about The Entity? I think this tells us that auras are more than just The Entity's highlighter. Aura perks do say show/reveal, not create.1 comments 242 views last activity

What if instead of what it does now, DS was your insurance against moris? When you try to mori someone who has DS, they stun you and get up. This would stop the current issues with DS not being solely an anti tunneling perk, and make moris counterable. To clarify, this wouldn't be once per game, this would be any time, so it would also prevent getting killed by Devour Hope, Rancor, and maybe Tomb6 comments 62 views last activity

This is a 100% foolproof demonic ritual to get your ideas for DbD implemented in game! You will need a piece of paper, a quill, some blood, some salt, a live crow, an iron blade, a way to start a fire, and two friends you are very comfortable with. First, take the paper and use the quill to write out your change in blood. Make sure to be as specific as you can. Next, take that note and everyth2 comments 72 views last activity

So I've written about the issues with 2v8 before (I'll link the post if anyone's interested) but one thing I noted was that a lot of killers are, lore-wise, not inclined to cooperate. So I'm gonna break down which killers would do well in 2v8, lore-wise. Trapper: Fine. Might not like Wraith for being a proletariat immigrant. Wraith: very good! For a lot of these other killers, it's "out of sig54 comments 1,154 views last activity

So I've somehow been able to get all of the Revelations unlocked, and honestly it was a bit anticlimactic. Here's what I got out of each entry: 1. There's an Entity cult in some version(s) of Earth 2. This one might be a hint at a future killer, although idk how they would make a "seduce and feed to pigs" mechanic. Also, there's something called Terra Dark, which I assume is one of those altern18 comments 862 views last activity

I'm curious about the demographics of the DbD community, so I'm making a poll! If you guys are interested in this maybe I'll make more polls like this. So this is a gender poll, have fun!6 comments 92 views last activity

No Mither is too strong! It counters so many things! -Trapper traps don't take off a health state without the purple stone -Hillbilly chainsaw only does one health state -Iridescent Head only does one health state -Leatherface's chainsaw only does one health state -The Plague's vile purge is useless -No Mither prevents baby Claudettes from wasting time healing you against The Legion -The39 comments 2,492 views last activity

I'm curious, how do people get the Trusted status? Does BHVR just give it out to people or do you apply or what?63 comments 634 views last activity

Call this Fogeralist Paper #10, 'cause I'm going after parties in DbD. The #1 thing I hate in this forum and community is the polarization. Everyone is a killer main, a survivor main, or plays both equally. It seems like KMs and SMs do nothing but complain, and the Boths do nothing but tell KMs and SMs can't have an opinion because you don't play the other side. Even if you express an opinion w9 comments 232 views last activity

I'd just like to ask everyone to stop invoking the statistics BHVR released as the final authority on everything. BHVR said to take those stats with a grain or salt, and now it seems like any time someone brings up the stats the thread devolves into an argument over how accurate the stats are and what they REALLY mean. My proposal is: don't make stats the backbone of your argument, use it as sup32 comments 732 views last activity

I would love to see 2 killers vs 8 survivors as a game mode in DBD but we should accept that it won't happen any time soon for a number of reasons. 1. MAPS: doubling the players would require a doubling of map sizes, especially for 10 gens to spawn. And I'm no expert, but I don't think it would be as easy to squish to maps together as people think. Plus, since you'd want maps to be the same rea0 comments 32 views last activity

Title says it all. For me it's The Game (Gideon Meat Plant, not DBD in general) solely because the two levels make the terror radius very hard to use. I like the idea of it but the execution is very flawed.20 comments 293 views last activity

WARNING: SPOILERS FOR BLOOD, BRASS, AND GRIT!!!! Now that that's out of the way, why did The Entity take Evan Macmillan rather than Archie? Based on the last few entries of BB&G, Archie definitely killed his wife and brother. He quite possibly was the one who blew up the mine, and then Evan killed him to avenge his friends. The only other explanation based on the entries is that Evan blew up9 comments 472 views last activity

So one thing that always bugged me about The Plague is that Adiris never killed anyone. Yes, The Entity heard her prayer, but Adiris still never killed anyone, so why's she a killer? My theory is that The Plague (killer) is a combination of Adiris and the plague (disease). I think there is some sort of symbiotic relationship going on, with the plague providing a motivation and method for killing20 comments 542 views last activity
