They're still noobs! They just showed up a few days ago. Let them figure it out like we all had to. They're trying their best :(
-
Absolutely
I'd need the damn Wiki up at all times to figure out what half the perks do but still :D
-
Ultimately it is your call how you play against Plague. That being said, it is generally best practice for the team to do either have people cleanse or have nobody cleanse. Having some of your team cleanse and others not is kind of the worst of both strategies.
But again, this is your call as the player and since you're solo queue, you can't really communicate with the other survivors what the plan should be. Honestly the smart play in my humble opinion is that once they saw that you and another player were cleansing, THEY should have been the ones to change their tactics instead of stubbornly sticking to what they wanted to do and getting mad at you for "screwing their plan up". Their refusal to change tactics likely got them killed based on your description above.

T-Pose the Killer to establish dominance

I just said it in another thread so I'm just gonna copy/paste it
I've only played her twice and Christ this is almost as tedious as going up against a Skull Merchant
Thankfully it's not because she makes the game last 60 minutes but both I played against just teleported all over the map like Nightcrawler. Every time I tried to get to a TV, she'd teleport to it. Just teleport teleport teleport teleport teleport teleport teleport teleport teleport teleport, never actually going after anyone, just zipping around until everyone is Condemned and killing them.
We'll see how it goes I suppose but man were both these games annoying AF to face her in...

People not liking the killer isn't a reason BHVR is going to killswitch her (as much as I'm sure people would like it to happen)

Are you going to make some generator margaritas for Holly & Olive 😍
No but that's only because they are indifferent to margaritas.
Now make them Gogurt Treat Thing Generators...
-
I really like them too. Some of them are missed (Hi Demodoggy!) but overall I think they've got more character to them.
-
I got to DBD just after the scorching summer BBQ but I have heard that most people consider it one of the best events BHVR did in the game. So it has some high expectations from me! :D

You can get him for 500 Auric Cells, which is around the same price for single-character Chapters.
If you buy the Chapter, you get a Very Rare cosmetic with it, but it's $10. I think that works out to about half price for the cosmetic which isn't a bad deal honestly.

You can get him for 500
But they 'bundled in' content for the steam store and are charging more for it. Thus forcing you to buy aurics if you don't want that extra content
Actively removing choices from the consumer
That's better at least, though I do agree with you Broken about removing the choice.
Hopefully it's something that was just overlooked or an accident and him individually SHOULD be there but just accidentally not launched.
-
So can you get him for the usual Auric Cells price or is he $10 this way or as an individual character in game?
He looked like a super fun, though gimmicky character and perks but I'm not sure I can justify $10 for what is ultimately a gimmick...
-
Oh they tried their damnedest the little bastards
They've figured out how to knock over the cardboard barricades so had to keep an eagle eye on them.
Luckily cause they're so smol, I could just grab them and move them (or in one Violet case, I had to grab her damn foot and drag her back in like that "Nestle Crunch" meme).
They're lucky they're so cute
-
They want to break out and commit federal crimes so bad!!!

Blue Jay!!
heres a birb i spotted on iceland
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/V8H13X0PSZYC/img-8915.jpeg
even though he was situated in a very perilous spot positively swarmed with tourists, located just off a cliff edge
he was gone when we came past again…hope for the best i guess…
Angry birb...
But yeah, I've never seen a Blue Jay at my feeders at least. I actually didn't have anything the poor fella could eat from as the normal feeders are squirrel proof (they have a cage around them, birds can land on them with no problem but squirrels are too big so they close down around the feeder if they try to grab on).
I put out an old feeder that wasn't squirrel proof and they took a few nuts from it but then left. I hope they come back because those birbs are cool AF...
-
DATS A BIG BIRB!
-
Wow...Marigold was already adopted. I would have expected the kittens to fly off the shelf but not the momma. Good for her! I got to give her one belly rub before she went bye bye.
-
I don't know if it's weird but I love it and some think I'm nuts for it...
Weiners & Beamers
Hot dogs cut up and put into a bowl of baked beans. Delicious!!!

Fern looks like a disney character
Fern wouldn't hold still so that was the best picture I could get 😅
-
New Kitty day!!!!
Violet, Marigold (mom), buttercup, and Fern respectively
-
Something fun out there!
-
Good news everyone!
Sandi and Mandi were adopted. I was a little worried about those two. They'd be perfect "old people" cats but old people cats generally don't get adopted very quickly.
Great that they were adopted and you know what that means...
NEW KITTY PICTURES!!!!!
(not yet, we're waiting to see when the next batch of kitty cats will be coming in)

They sell food dishes that come with an electronic tag, it stays closed and only opens when your cat comes close to it for food. Was made for people with multiple cats to keep one from eating multiple bowls of food.
Nibbi has a bunny friend. Rehabilitator fixed up this bunny's broken leg then let it free on their property. Bunny has decided to stick around and hang out with Nibbi in her outdoor enclosure.

That only works with dry food unfortunately and because my cats are spoiled AF, they get wet food :D
I have adjusted what I give Olive though so she leaves little to no food left out. Which seems to be working because Holly gets REAL friggin annoying at 8-9ish (dinner is at 10)

What does Holly think about tunneling 😍
There was a mouse in my house that Holly and Olive tunneled the hell out of. Then they'd grab the mouse and drop it again until the mouse used Unbreakable to get up and then they did it again.
GASP!
Are my kittys Toxic Killers!?!?!

Yet you still play
...yes? (Also, are you seriously, unironically, pulling a "Yet you participate in society? I am very intellect" on me here?)
Camping and tunneling doesn't happen every game. Hell for myself at least, camping/tunneling might happen 1/8 games or so (though that number did seem to spike with the event).
It's irksome and boring but the killer is free to do what they want
-
But I didn't even do nothin :(
-
I actually do that as a survivor
I got ish to do people! Put me on the hook and let's call it a game. GGEZ

It wasn't supposed to harm the crew

Yeah but that's sad as a survivor that we have to think that way to somewhat enjoy the game

I dont care if Im able to escape, but I want to know I have at least 50% chance of escaping. 1 death with 3 Gens left discourage me to play the match.
See, I guess I always feel like I do have a chance to escape. Sometimes I don't because I screwed up. Sometimes I get potato teammates (unfortunately that seems to be the biggest culprit many times but that's the nature of multiplayer). Sometimes the killer just outplays me. And sometimes I'm just dum.
But I've always got a shot
-
I found that the game became CONSIDERABLY better when I just stopped caring about whether I escaped or not.
Sure, sometimes I get killed because I make bad choices with this attitude but I find the game is way more fun when I'm willing to take chances, play with the more fun perks instead of the meta, and overall just not giving a F anymore.
Maybe that's just me taking a huge sniff of COPIUM every game but that does mean that I get to enjoy the game a lot more so if it is that, I'll gladly keep on huffin it.
-
Are any of us truly ok?
-
Holly is being a naughty kitty!!!
That's OLIVE'S food bowl Holly. Bad kitty!!!!!
I've noticed Holly is a bit chonky and figured this was happening. Now I just need to figure out what to do about it 😅

I would run plot twist whenever I'm the last one standing. I rather just take myself out.
If it's EGC and I'm the last one, I'll commonly stop once the killer finds me. Using Plot Twist instead would be hilarious to my childlike brain

Nic Cage deserves a lavish gift from The Entity for gracing us with His presence
-
I know it's the lame "everyone's a winner!!!" answer but my answer is that I don't care about kills, I care about how fun the match was.
I've had 4Ks that were miserable slogs and 0Ks that were an absolute blast of a game.
Whether I "win" or not doesn't really matter
-
I say SKILL ISSUE to people but if I say that, it's in jest and to friends (so they know it's in jest). I wouldn't say that to strangers just because that's a useless phrase unless you actually talk about what skills are the issues...
-
I've found that killers who hit their breaking point like that will just go into the corner and hide
Which I always then feel really bad about
I'm sorry killer!!!! If those other guys were being bullies, I'm not part of them. Come kill me!

You guys never seen survivors complain about tunnelling at all? This proves that killers are in the right and making the correct play when they tunnel.
Survivors can (and in my opinion, should) complain about tunneling and camping. It saps all fun and life out of the game for the survivor side.
That doesn't make it not a strategy to tunnel and camp people. It's a strategy. Hell, it can be a POWERFUL strategy. That doesn't make it fun (and if it's not fun, you're gonna get people complaining about it).
-
They've said it before that they feel that tunneling and camping are legitimate strategies...
Like...those words out loud.
I don't think they LIKE that those are effective and useful strategies and have done things to try to combat it (to varying success) but they've said that it's an effective strategy that can be used by killers in the game

That was the only event that felt more survivor-favored, though. And even then killers could still use the Snowmen suits to their advantage,
Killers could the second year but that first year, killers got absolutely nothing fun to do in the event while survivors got a fun toy and a tool to use to their advantage
I honestly imagine if they do this kind of thing again with survivors and killers getting these special powers, the devs will balance it better the same way they balanced the snowmen a bit better the second go around

so you are comparing snowmen to the current event lol. i mean one was fun. the other is severely OP
I like that when the powers give the survivors an advantage (and a HUGE advantage against certain killers in that the snowmen literally countered their powers), it's all in good fun but when killers get something special to do in an event, it's OP
-
Considering how the Snowmen, who literally made powers useless for certain killers, I feel like the killers can have their moment to be a bit OP in an event
EDIT: Changed it to the one event because fair, Year 1 of Snowmen was the only event that was SUPER survivor sided, though I still think Snowmen Year 2 was also Survivor sided, just a bit less as the devs balanced it better

'Not meta' doesn't mean useless. Most perks are useful if you know how to use them. And with that post count, it's surprising you don't have all perks memorised by now. 😂
I really wish this was a permanent feature, it would serve as a good 'challenge' mode that doesn't require an entirely different game mode. Make it a basekit feature you can toggle on and off, and then throw in a daily ritual for it as well, so there's a BP incentive to run it.
My post was more hyperbole than literal as all perks have some kind of benefit but yeah, I have no idea what a very large chunk of perks even do as they never show up in games.

Like all open ended questions; it depends
There are situations where 99'ing is absolutely the right call. There are also situations where 99'ing a gate will get people killed
The right play depends on the specifics of the situation. Even then, the "playbook" might tell you to 99 when it turns out to have been wrong and vice versa.
