"skill issue"
Such a cringe thing to say
People are here to state opinions, share stories or air complaints. That's fine. You saying "skill issue" literally tells me you are incapable of a solid discussion

Seems like a skill issue in communication X}
In semi seriousness, we agree that most times its unconstructive to say, but there are times where it's legitimately the answer round here.
skill issue
I say SKILL ISSUE to people but if I say that, it's in jest and to friends (so they know it's in jest). I wouldn't say that to strangers just because that's a useless phrase unless you actually talk about what skills are the issues...
Sadly many threads here just scream that the issue is indeed a skill issue and not an issue with the game.
A lot of times, it really is.
Like, a lot of threads boil down to bad matchmaking. These players are being put against people way better than themselves and they stand no chance.
Is that a skill issue? Yes. Is that their fault? No.
Nobody who says "skill issue" is intending on having a solid discussion, it's just meant to be dismissive
tbf, there are plenty instances where the difference between a player who has an issue with something and a player who doesn't have an issue with the very same thing, is their difference in skill.
A Nurse player complaining about how blink distances are too hard to gauge, a Huntress player complaining about M2ing survs being way too hard, wraiths getting outplayed around windows and pallets (the ones you can block to get a pretty safe hit), spirits who find locating survs in phase too hard etc pp is and will always be a skill issue; these players have just not yet mastered the skillset of a killer.
That being said, there's often a difference between what's theoretically possible and what's reasonable to be expected. E.g., a blight who knows all bumps on all maps who throws a "skill issue" at another player who does not know all those things (be that another blight player who complains about bumps or a survivor who gets double trapped) -- question is though: should that level of game knowledge be the baseline?
Just because it is used a lot doesn't make it any less valid when it comes to the n00bs on this forum complaining about the most basic DBD 101 #########. Complaining about their inability to overcome weak killers and to mind game loops. Skill issue. This game's challenge is not made for them, yet why should they come here and demand the game be catered to them?
