Nice. But i notice a difference to my own findigs. I did 222 games as solo survivor on pc, and with me,
0K were 16,2%, 1k were 14,4%, 2K were 18%, and the spike were at 3k with 29,3, while 4k had 22%.
Maybe because my personal survival rate was about 72% until rank reset came, which dropped me to 63%.
Average Kills were 2,2 per game, average gens done was 3,8.
If you want more details, here is the thread: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/157195/222-games-as-solo-survivor-here-are-my-stats#latest

Here we go again defending killer toxicity as "legit", while there were never anyone defending survivor toxicity. Double standards at its best again. And BHVR just let it be to cater to killers toxicity promoting this even more with their new tunneling killer. Pretty good job again.
You should note that while i play both sides, i play solo survivor about 70%+ of the time. And yet, survivors are much more toxic than killers can ever be. Because they cant just be toxic to the killer, they can be to the other survivors as well, and many are.
But it seems you aren´t really intrested in others opinions, based on your post i quote. It just has nothing to do with daring, it has to do with survivors calling thing they dont like toxic even if they aren´t. (this is someone killers do as well, while genrush is a think in my opinion, its not toxic).
-
I camp if the survivor are above my skill level, which happens often with this matchmaking, If i finally caught one, the game is basicly over, so i just secure the kill.
If i am evenly matched, i dont have to camp, because i can actually catch another survivor.
-
Because tunneling and camping are strategies and not in themself toxic behaviour. But since a lot of survivors dont like it, they claim it to be.
The nodding, i dont know, if might be a toxic intend, as well as hitting a hooked person.

Because killers arent going to open it except in very niche situations.
But that has nothing to do with "the survivors control it". Its wrong, simple as that.
That said, if i play killer and i got one done with all gens done and my noed is still up, i hook him, then open the gates (or open first and hook him then, if i have blood warden.) It shortens the time the survivors have to find noed and then rescue their mate. Yes, it depends on the actual game situation, but i think it should.

Since the survivors control when it starts it effectively fails at forcing them to leave
How do survivor prevent a killer from startig it? They have control you say, so how do they do it?
-
I think i am pretty decent as survivor. I still cant loop (even with devotion 14), but i am ok with juking the killer. But thats maybe because i like the hide-and-seek part of the game better than the chase part.
As killer, i am pretty bad, again, because i cant loop and i am easily outplayed by good loopers.
However, i like the hag, spirit, as well as wraith/meyers which change chases and looping.
I think i could learn to loop, but both as killer and as survivor, it is the most boring part of the game for me, so i simply dont want to.
-
You can see that my argument is build on " you dont have to do it if the skiller has sloppy", because you dont do it then, yet you argue only about "but if the killer has sloppy", while ignoring my other point. No point in arguing with you, because you either can´t comprehend what the other side says, or you just ignore it.

Strong survivors will work on gens injured and IF they encounter another survivor they can choose to let them heal them.
Or you can waste 40 seconds Self Caring while Sloppy Butcher is in effect. Killers will be very happy about “stealth” players like that.
Well, without sloppy butcher another survivor needs 16 seconds, where neither he nor me does anything else. I need 32 seconds to selfcare, but i can do it while i hide from the killer while juking him.
Also, if you play solo, you might find the other survivors dont heal you. They finish the gen with you, then run off to the next, and if the killer comes he most likly chooses the easiest target. Killers are also very happy about that.
Also, clever survivors can still try to let others heal them if sloppy is in effect, even though they have self care, because self care dosnt prevent healing from others, you know.

Not everyone is going to bring BT. Not every team will have someone with BT. Kinda hard to body block if the killer waits for the unhooked guy to touch ground and then hit them while ignoring everyone else.
Yes, but some do, and thats why the original quote was wrong.
-
I disagree. Even if killer are camping and tunneling, the survivor can still escape if his team helps him out. BT is only the begining, bodyblocking the killer, distracting and blinding him, there is actuall several things to be done. But they are risky for the one saving, thus in solo lobbys very few people do it, and you see it more often with swf.
I camp and tunnel as a killer if i see that i am (again) set up against survivors way above my skill level. Only way for me to get kills at all then. I dont like it very much, but its better than no kill and being harressed in the aftergame chat. Because i actually notice, while there are toxic player in the after game chat, there are less if i tunnel them out early, because they dont want to wait just to insult me. If all escape, the abuse is usually worse.

I just find it ironic that some killers complain about genrushing, even though they bring an offering that makes them have to do only 33% of their main objective in order to win.
Ebony moris really should only work on death hook or, more preferably, if every individual survivor has been hooked at least once. That way killers wouldn't be able to tunnel someone for an instant mori, and they would actually have outskill four survivors in a chase before he gets to wipe them all clean on a whim.
I personally just don't even care about the match when a mori is used; I'll probably just loot chests, get totems, practice moonwalking and suicide on first hook when the killer eventually gets me. I see no point in trying to win if the killer can just win by doing the bare minimum.
Well, to make it equal then, keys should also only work if each survivor repaired the equivalent of a whole gen. that way the survivors wouldn´t be able to just hide all game and they would aactually have to ouskill the killer in repairing before they just escape through the hatch.
-
Well, no wonder. There are a lot of cries for Keys to be nerfed. After that happend to instaheals, i rather use them all now instead of keeping them. Same for moris, i used an ebony in my last 30 killer games, and i am going to use one in the next 250, before they become useless.
-
Like a lot of people here, i use a lot of perks you dont consider usefull. Most importantly self care. I know a lot of survivors consider it useless, but i dont share this point of view.
I usually play stealthy. I suck at looping, but i can juke a lot of killers. IF no pallets are availible (anymore), i sometimes have to take a hit, and then juke the killer and hide while he is searching for me, which all wastes his time as well as being looped. Now tell me, do i spend this time better selfcaring (because i encounter nurse calling rarly), or do i just hide, doing nothing, and then search for someone else to heal me, wasting both our time?

But how dare someone want to use his phone when is on the hook! Here, we slap a hook struggle mechanic to keep you busy in the game!!11!
-BHVR
Here, let me hit that one button i configurated with my keyboard driver and he does the struggeling for me. Amazing, this new technologie. But its only around for 30 years, so not everyone knows its secrets.
-
And how can the killer counter it? Remember, the aura reading of bbq can be countered with perks, being inside the distance, hidding in lockers and hidding behind a gen. Lots of counters. If the arguement is the comparison to bbq, it should be an effect that is as easily countered as bbq is. Otherwise, dont compare them.

@Dzeikor said:
The fact people think the game and haddonfield are good maps in their current state is just sad
Well, then tell us whats wrong with the game in your opinion.
I like it as survivor, because the lower level is a maze full of line-of-sight-blockers. And while i cant loop, i am at least ok at juking. Its very easy to lose most killers there, because the majority dont know how to play the map correctly.
If i play killer, i like stealth killer like wraith and meyers. Both become great if you dont see them coming from afar.
As survivor, you just have to remember to take the chase to the lower level, and only occasionly go to the upper one for a pallet stun or such.
-
Also you are wrong about the game. I like it (both as killer and survivor), therefore its not a map noone likes.
-
I dont use any of those perks, can i still blame the killer? But wait, i do totems, and get seldom hit by noed. Maybe i dont care.
But to reply go your thread Title "you wouldn´t have won without noed": Good thing he brought it, then. thats what it´s for.
-
Actually, i dont even know what to spend my bloodpoints on. In my survivor games, i usually get between 18 and 26k bp. I have 4 survivors prestiged (because i had the spare points) and all 4 have all perks. Then i leveld the killers with my survivor points, and they have all the perks.
I dont think the grind is that bad if you see the bloodweb as an easy tactic game and chose what to pick.
-
I experience it time and again as solo survivor, you find your teammates, they just dont heal you. Bound helps how in this situation?
-
Well, while i am concerned about the matchmaking system, i can understand the intention of the devs to keep its metrics secret. If you dont know how what is rated, you can´t easily manipulate your rank to "derank", which is a concern.
-
Always remember; its just a game.
But a lot of players really should remember that the killer is not their enemy, but their playing partner, and therefore show a little respect to another human being.
But still, its a game, and if you are getting depressed, its just not worth it. This game has his own kind of addiction, but its gone very fast once you take a break and realize how much less toxic the world can be.
-
Well, yeah she is easy in a kind of way. But not because she is op, but because a lot of survivors dont know how to play against her.
Most survivor have just one routine and that is looping (i have just one routine too, to be fair, and that is stealthing. The good survivors are those who are good at both and can switch if needed). Thus, every killer that is not easily looped is "easy" and "op" because survivors mostly dont adept, whatever they tell you.
-
Escaping the chase, plain and simple.

What a useful Thread. Really an enrichment to this Forum.
Funny, thats how i feel about 90% of posts i read from you.
-
I got it first try against a meyers with rabbit. Well, and monitor and abuse. And one survivor was running him around the gen i was doing. Sure, i hid in this time, because i thought the other survivor would lead him away because there was obviously a gen in progress, but he didnt, and after the game i had it.
But one of the things is just map offerings. The game can have you unfound in the terrorradius for hours if you want to.
-
I usually dislike farming both as a killer and as a survivor, because i dont have much spare play time and a farming game is just wasted time.
However, things like legit (early) dcs happens. if this happens and i am the killer, i play the game normaly, only i dont hook anyone for the 3. time, just slug them. If i got them all down, i won, and then i let them all escape. This way you still get the thrill of a game (even if you are in a disadvantage), but aren´t punished point and pip-wise for someone dcing
-
The pig has 2 things against her: First of, she is often used for camping and tunneling. Second, she gives solo survivors more opportunitys to be screwed over by their fellow survivors, especially swf, because they dont care if you make it out or not. but a lot of players have problems with stealth-killers.
-
Left behind, Plunderers instinct (higher chance for a key), spine chill, and your choice of sole survivor, self care, urban evasion and iron will.
-
What is the the killers role supposed to be then?

Thing is, latency can't be fixed, and hits are killer sided so?
And all I can say is that only a good killer should have a advatange in a 1v1 imo
That means, when killers and survivors are of equal skill, the killer should have no advantage in a 1v1, but has to play against 4?
Do you think that sounds like a concept that can function in any way? Of do you define "good killer" in any way?
-
I like the game best for both roles. I am not much of a looper/chaser, thats why i like to play stealthy. The game allows you to surprise survivors with a low terror radius killer, while as a survivor i can juke killers easy because line of sight is more often broken than not.
-
I played the last 20 killergames with ebony mori. It does help a lot

Best way to punish campers is to do gens, then teabag and clicky clicky on your way out. When you get the 4th gen done, make sure you're split up enough that the killer can't come for all of you at once. Maybe head for the exit gate furthest from the killer. Hope you have one survivor on each exit before that last gen pops.
Campers really are ruining the game though. Because of them, Gen Times can't and won't be increased. As soon as gen times are increased, camping becomes even more viable. Which breaks the balance of the game entirely.
I am not sure about that actually. It is an individual opinion of course, but i think with old ruin camping was less rampant, because killer could afford not to camp, at least the good to mediocre ones. I know i camp and tunnel in games where i am outskilled anyway. If its about equal or survivors are actually less skilled then me (aka i can actually end a chase) i dont feel the need to do so. I might still lose if i dont, but since i dont have the constant feeling of being helpless, going after survivors actually accomplish something.
-
I leave the link to my thread. Its very intresting to see a)what data other players care about, and b) their results in comparison with your own.
My 222 solo Survivor game stats:
-
Well, i got tunneled for playing Jeff. Killer just like to tunnel, i just dont understand why they come up with such bs reasons, they need no reason anyway.
-
I recently got my 222 solo survivor game where i kept records of, and i can tell you this:
Out of the 222 games, only 64 saw camping, in 23 cases combined with also tunneling the unhooked survivor, and in 5 cases a mori was also involved.
17 of the camper games ended in a 4k, 25 in a 3k, 14 in a 2k, and 4 1k as well as 4 0ks. Funnily, most of the camper games had 5 gens done, and people then started to fall for the killer, usually in conjunction with noed. So a 1k game would become a 3k game.
the lesson is: dont feed the camper.
-
I played 222 games as solo survivor, and i run plunderers instinct. Keys i found were used in only 20 of those games. Moris were used in 22 of them. So each happened in 10% of the games or less. While it might bring inbalance, i dont think it is much of a problem, since in 90%+ of the games they are no issue.
Moris are worse, because of their potential to create an imbalance early in the game. Even the one-kill-mori creates this imbalance, leading to a most likly win for the killer. On the other hand, keys are usually a last resort item. In most of the cases, you open a hatch the killer had closed and you still escape. And i think such a "hope"-mechanic is needed, not only because of a single survivor might hide for a long time trying to fix gens that constantly get kicked down again, but also so there is a reason not to just run to the killer and suicide when the first teammate is dead. 2 Minute games are not more fun than 2hour ones.
-
@Stinde said:
Kill/survival rates get skewed when you take moris and keys into account so those numbers should be taken with a grain of salt. I'm quite sure the average kill rate gets closer to 2 when you don't take the mori games into account.
What rank were the killers on average and what rank were you after rank reset? Because in red ranks killers cannot afford to camp to the extent what your numbers imply. What platform do you play?
Also the total sum of your gens per game is 147 yet you have other stats for 222 games. Why is that?Edit. Never mind I noticed you elaborated on that in your post.
I started tracking rank only later, so i got that info for only 154 games. Before rank reset, i was in the red ranks, and after i was at rank 8 or 9, i did not keep track of that. Out of the 154 games, only 13 were all red ranks, while 59 where red/purple ranks,12 were all purple, 40 games were rainbow matches with green/purple/red ranks. In 3 matches i found myself against players between rank 16 and 20 (as i had reached red ranks again), 8 in green ranks (have no comments on what rank i was then) while the rest were purple/green matches.
-
@KingFrost said:
I'm keeping track of similar stats on Switch. Only I've got just 162 games recorded so far. I've found the average number of Gens to be higher, but the kill rate is pretty close to the same.
Feel free to share your data. The more data we have, the better the picture.
Edit: Post already sneaked in ^^
-
I play on PC.
I corrected the data for moris, keys, and dcs/hook suicide (because they are basicly a mori too).
The kill rate got a little lower, my surivival rate got a little up, and the number of gens went a little up too, but all not that much.
I dont like to share the raw data of the spread cheat, mostly because the comments are in german, and i would have to rework them. A lot of the comments are just a memory aid for me anyway.
Plague was indeed intresting, one game was a 0k, the other 3 were 4k (one i sorted out here because of a hook suicide).
One of the 4k plagues might not be legit, because that was the only one out of hte 222 games i suspect of hacking, just by the way he kept staight finding people he shouldn´t, and without any information perks, too. But since i have no proof and it might have been luck/whatever, i still count that game.
-
I think so too. My personal survival rate is of course higher than the 50%, but i think a lot of that is due to the 33 hatch escapes. If those had been kills, my personal Stats would be about 50% i think. But notice that the killers average kill is higher than the 2kills per game as well. Over 50% of games were either a 3k or 4k. There were less 4 escapes than 4ks, and 3k is the most common outcome.
What i belive says more about the balance is the number of gens done compared with the average kills. Because it means in Average, Suvivors had just a little more than one gen to do to get the 5. Of course, that is were moris, camping and tunneling comes in, because if you have to do that with 3 or only 2 surviors it gets a lot harder, and shifts the balance in the killers favor. I mean in about 100 matches had a killer use either a mori, camping or tunneling or a combination of them.
-
Camping was the killer not leaving the close range of the hooks, no matter if you got them a target or not. Since we have a genrush-mentality at the moment, a lot of time that meant that gens were just popping, but it often enough became just hooktrading. I didnt count games where survivors were around the hook from the beginning or running the killer around the hook, since i dont consider that camping. But games where you know where the other surivors are (nowhere near the hook), and you go to the hook after one minute and the killer is still there..yeah, thats camping.
Tunneling was the killer going after the unhooked person no matter what, including breaking chases with other survivors (even ones they already injured. I had several games where i blocked the killer, took a hit, and while the unhooked survivor had a little more distance, the killer would go after them).
-
@Respectfulnancymain said:
We all know matchmaking broken why do we need a reminder?
We dont, because now we have a time for the new matchmaking. But then i posted this, we didnt, and we had no idea if this topic had any priority with the devs. Thus, we could asume it dosnt have priority, and thus, they needed to be reminded so they make it one.
-
1) but a lot of the game would get lost, because a lot of the tension comes from not knowing exactly where the killer is, and what everyone else is doing. But if the killer is buffed, you basicly have to use it.
2) I meet enough people who dont speak english in endgame chats. Having no common language with a russian or asian would lead to still no communication, but a buffed killer.
Just seperate swf and solo survivors, then balance differently. The killer doesnt even know if he goes against a swf if its balanced.
-
@Giobb said:
Keys are unfair even to survivors.
if 1 guy escapes at 1 or 2 gens left, whoever is left behind gets completly f*cked.
And as of rn with the "plunderers instincts meta" (thx for the search chests challenge) keys are found A LOT.
numbers based on the wiki : with PI u have over 10% chances of finding a purple or pink key in a chest. 3 chests per trial, more if u brought a coin
every other game someone takes the hatch and screws his mate(s)
First of, when i run plinderers instinct and the hatch appears with one or 2 gens left, then i go find the other survivors and escape with them together.
On the other hand, i had a game yesterday where i saved 1 guy from a hook, and another one was still hooked. The killer caught me, hooked me, went away (the unhooked survivor was near me) and he did...nothing. He let us two on the hook die, to then go and search for the hatch. no key needed to screw over his teammates.
-
Actually, i find tbagging worse. Because tbagging was introduced as a way to insult and humiliate beaten opponents, and is very disrespectful. And most teabaggers do it to insult. 3 Blendettes just play the only way they know. There is clearly a different intent (if they dont do it just to be toxic)
3 Blendettes can be countered with a) perks like whispers, b) killer addons like all-seeing, and c) grafic filters if you use certain grafic cards.
IF i had the choice beforehand, i wouldnt want to play with toxic players at all.
-
@Chrisko said:
The bottom line is that if the killer can see the survivor names THEN the survivors should be able to see the killer's name. EITHER show both or REMOVE both. That is the only fair way to do this. There is NO valid reason to show the survivor's names and not the killer's name.
My opinion: No one should see anyone's names in the pre-game lobby...full stop.
IF you think that should be, in order for information balance, then i think killers should know if survivors are solo or swf. Survivors know if killer is solo or swf.
-
Only guranteed against bad survivors, or if you play bubba.
