  • @Raven014 I think those numbers are mainly effected by the date of the data

Thats a good question on the sacrifice vs. dc. I would just love to see the info somewhere to understand what the community is doing

  • @ChiTenshi I believed you see that you are exposed, like when Myers stalks you you get the Status HUD icon for exposed. Is that not the case?

    https://deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com/Status_HUD#Exposed

  • I appreciate you taking the time to do some research on these. I got these queued up for my commute this week I cant wait to check out this content! Thanks for being a solid community member, I am so glad I stopped turning to reddit for help and decided the check out the forums

  • Thanks so much for the information I really appreciate the feedback, its always fun to work towards something this gives me a good path forward

  • I found the post i was refering to

Earlier this week, we asked you what statistics you would like to see. Since then, we have collected data on some of the most popular requests and designed some fancy graphics for them. There are a few things to note:

    • This data does not include the recent PTB.
    • Data involving rank was collected shortly before a rank reset (April 1st to April 7th).
    • These are very general statistics, so use caution before drawing any conclusions.

    Average Party Size

This is the overall average, between all ranks and platforms, of how many other Survivors players are queuing up with. More than half of the total Survivors are playing solo, while only 3-6% are playing in a full Survive With Friends group. This is based on the group size out of the total number of matches.

    Party Size Survival Rate

This is the average chance of Survival per Survivor depending on the size of the Survive With Friends group they are playing in. This is an average between all ranks on all platforms.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/270/X1L1JQEBEOMA.jpg

    Survival Rate by Rank

This graph shows the average rate of survival per Survivor at any given rank, per platform. Please note: The data collected is using your rank after the match, so players who depipped from rank 1 down to rank 2 would appear as rank 2 for our purposes. This is likely the reason why you'll notice a large gap between the survival rate of rank 1 and rank 2: Players who survived were more likely to pip and maintain their rank, while those who died were more likely to depip and lose their rank.

This data was also collected between April 1st and April 7th, after the pipping thresholds were originally changed but before they were later tweaked to be more forgiving for Survivors. Because of that, the statistics at this rank are from a small sample size consisting solely of the best players that could maintain rank 1 with the strict pipping conditions.

    Average Game Length

This graph shows the average game length at any given rank for each platform. This is the time from the start of the match until the final Survivor either escapes or is sacrificed.

    Most Popular Killer by Rank

This chart shows which Killer is the most popular depending on rank, per platform. For example, on PC from rank 1-4, nurse is the most popular Killer, while Hillbilly tends to be more popular from rank 5-12. The highest overall usage for any Killer at a given rank is the Nurse at rank 1, coming in at 22.39%.

    Highest and Lowest Kill Rates

This chart shows the deadliest (yellow) and least deadly (red) Killers per platform. These stats are an average for all ranks. Since there are four Survivors, a 50% kill rate equates to two Survivors escaping and two Survivors dying.

    Most Used Perks (Survivor)

This chart shows the most popular Survivor perks based on rank ranges between all platforms. We decided not to display ranks 13-20 as they tend to be more random (newer, lower ranked players tend to use whichever perks they have rather than picking what they want specifically). The numbers displayed are the percentage that perk is used of all perks used at that rank.

    Most Used Perks (Killer)

This chart shows the most popular Killer perks based on rank ranges between all platforms. Like the Survivor perks above, we decided not to show ranks 13-20. The number displayed are a percentage of the total perks used at that rank range.

Is there something that confuses you? Maybe you'd like to know a more precise number on one of these stats? I'll be doing a live Q&A in the official Dead by Daylight Discord server tomorrow at 2PM EST.

If you are not in the Official Discord server, you can join here: https://discord.gg/549m9NT

The Q&A will take place in the #game-discussion channel.

The nerf happened a while back, can’t remember exactly when, though healing was changed from 12 to 16 seconds, which translated to self care Speed is 24 to 32 seconds. There’s far more worthwhile ways to get healed, heck, a lot of people don’t heal at all just so they can rush gens and get Adrenaline to pop. It can still have it’s benefits of infinite use and not require a teammate, it just takes a lot more time than someone else healing you or just powering through gens.

i appreciate the feedback, im less survivor than killer but i switched so i can enjoy being scared by chainsaws for the month of october. Adrenaline has always been a nice perk to unlock, I may switch to meg then to prioritize it as my first shareable perk. what are the other ways to heal? Or the other more useful perks in your opinion?

  • this month im a survivor because its spooooky to be chased by chainsaws and hear leatherface squeal. usually i play killer until i get up to the point that i cant deal with the frustration of the SWF then ill solo the survivor ladder like a jerk

  • i try my best to stay hidden, but once its on i start being the loopmunster

  • think ive seen clown 3 times ever since he came out, but usually im the killer so...

  • i chase a survivor until they escape me or i knock them down, hitting them to give the opportunity to heal up is a waste of the killers time. I dont avoid a possible target because im afraid ill be perceived as tunneling

  • when did this nerf happen and what changed? I didnt realize this isnt the most important perk to learn first anymore.

I switched from xbox to pc so im starting from nothing in my perk pool, but during the switch i was on hiatus from dbd since after summer bbq event (ill miss my pro-pain hammer)

  • ive worked in the industry and did mainly piercing work for 4+ years before i changed professions

if you literally mean first piercing ever, get your ear lobes done.

now on to my list of things not to pierce, then ill offer suggestions

as a professional i recommend no one ever gets their eye brow done. The rejection rate is very high, you will note people tend to scar there also when it rejects. (if you pinch and roll your eyebrow at the corner you can feel two layers of tissue, if they miss that sub-layer it will reject pretty quickly)

mouth piercings are also on my not recommended list, not many people keep these in the long term. You will get a noticeable scar and i promise its bad for your teeth or gums somehow no matter what. Also these can be annoying/uncomfortable when intimate.

genital piercings - if this malfunctions when your being intimidate it is super awful for you and your partner. Lots of people admit to taking these out pretty quickly after getting them. For a female the safer one is the clitoral hood, this one isnt a big deal, it can help with pleasure and its low risk for injury. Of course if you have complications with healing - you could get risk a permanent injury - these mainly are not worth it.

    Looking at piercings to get

Ears, pretty much adding more piercings to your ears is fun and fine.

If you want a standout ear piercing im fond of the tragus and rook (mainly for females), and industrial for both genders. Industrials really stand out and you can mount other hardware in the two holes if you dont always want the bar.

A tragus piercing is the perforation of the tragus, which projects immediately in front of the ear canal, for the purpose of inserting and wearing a piece of jewelry. The piercing itself is usually made with a small gauge hollow piercing needle, and typical jewelry would be a small diameter captive bead ring or small gauge post style piercing jewelry.
A rook piercing is a perforation of the antihelix of the ear for the purpose of wearing jewelry. It is located just above the tragus on the ridge between the inner and outer conch with the piercing passing from the underside to the top of this ridge, differing from many ear piercings that essentially span between a "front" and "back" surface.
An industrial piercing (North America), sometimes called the bar (UK/Ireland), scaffold piercing or construction piercing, is any two pierced holes connected with a single straight piece of jewelry (compare to orbital piercing); however, it typically refers to a double perforation of the upper ear cartilage specifically.

The nose is a good place the get a piercing, I do not recommend anything other than a simple nostril piercing. This should sit right at the point where the nostril line beings to blend into the nose, some artists will do "high" or "low" nostril. I would just call that missing the right spot. Septums arent to bad but not far starters. Anything else like bridge or third eye I would avoid, if these reject (and these do) the scars are ugly.

A belly button can be cute and also safe(mainly female), but the piercing has to be deep enough to get through the sub-layer like the eyebrow (pinch and roll the top of your belly button there is a shelf under the skin. if they miss that, prepare to reject and scar) Avoid this piercing if youre overweight as the reject and infection rate rises if you are.

If your adventurous and like the idea of a more sexual piercing nipple(s) tend to be harmless and heal well when taken care of properly. Risk for rejection is lower than your normal skin and these can be enjoyable with your partner. not really a first time piercing.

hope this helps, let me know if you have questions

  • i dont have a problem with NOED, its fair. What this does is force a choice imo - if your clear to escape you have to decide if your gonna risk running around exposed to save others. Saving everyone and tea-bagging at the gate is actually not mandatory

  • I would love to see this cross platform, its the best way to keep the title healthy and increase its longevity.

Granted there is imbalances, so have it be an opt in situation.

I think most balance arguments are exaggerated. Not that there isn't something to each difference but its fairly level

with more and more games adding crossplay this is the way games are going and to keep this title on the radar of gamers and new players cross platform play.

I have over 149 hours in DBD on my Xbox, I have recently completed a PC build and have tried a lot of my favorite xbox games on my PC and the easiest transition for me has been in DBD. The control are not as important as game knowledge and when you're in a chase memory and misplays become the factors. Not every PC player plays on equal footing as other PC players depending on the resources they had to build the PC.
