Or just accept that it’s part of the game and people are free to play as they please.
It’s not malicious it’s just game play.
Especially when you are going for the 4K sometimes you gotta slug that 3rd when they are on death hook.
Got bled out twice this evening once because I don’t think the killer could find me after I crawled of into a corner. Second time there wasn’t much bleed out timer left after I got slugged multiple times during the match.
GG’s and props all round because it’s only a game and everyone behaved like adults able to separate a fantasy game world from reality.
-
It’s been a great evening, near instant killer queues, near instant survivor queues.
I haven’t waited in a single queue for more than 30-60s. This is probably the most dbd I’ve played in a single evening for about a year.
Every game has been pretty good too, a couple of snowball 5 gen killer games but most went hard fought to 2 gens and maybe 1-2 escapes.
Cranked out a few survivor games too got out about 50/50 depending on quality of team.
Only a couple of salty sore losers and they were mild. It’s like the new changes made all the obnoxious players rage quit and leave a great game behind for the rest of us.

Death is the norm escape is the reward.
My issue with this is that viewing this from the other side, this means getting a 4k is the norm and having one survivor escape through hatch is being slightly unlucky every 50 games or so.
Sounds more suitable for a single player game to me where you play against bots, but not multiplayer.
And then there's an MMR system that tries to determine skill by death/escape, so you hit the "Play Killer" button and are a skilled player by game design, cool. What's the point in collecting the majority of killers at top MMR and dumping the majority of survivors at MMR bottom? How exactly does that help matchmaking?
I’ve often said that if the killer was a really hard AI people wouldn’t have a problem with a high kill count, but because it another person everyone expects fairness and gets all pissy because they can’t take their ego out of the equation, simply because the killer is another player.
Thats a fault of MMR. Basically a mmr system that only counts escapes requires solo players to perform the same as swf, because escapes require teamwork.
So your individual mmr is heavily weighted by the team performance, which just doesn’t work. Again the fault is mmr not a high chance of death.

Yep, that's the thing. Some people think either everyone is in swf with comms or all survivors have some mystical ability to coordinate without comms. You only get some of that after long experience as survivor. It only takes one to not be on the same page and snowball a win for the killer.
Some people can, some people can’t.
It’s a mixed bag in a pug no matter the game. That’s to be expected.
Getting angry at a pug for not performing at the level of a swf is what’s truely nuts.
Some of the best plays I’ve been part of in DBD have involved strangers I never spoke to but just knew what they were doing.
-
I don’t know, I do die a lot more as survivor but the game is so much better now that it’s a genuine threat to face off against the entire killer roster.
Like the title says the latest patch is killing solo Q literally ha but that’s a good thing. Dying more in game is not the end of the world in fact it’s thematically appropriate.
This latest patch is the first time in over a year where I felt I had to flee from the killer rather than get in their face and waste their time.
You can see over the last year a lot of survivor play got bold and lazy. With escape all but expected and a stagnant chase extending meta. It’s not that the game was survivor sided but rather there wasn’t really a great deal of threat from the average killer.
The latest patch chucked a lot of that out the window and the no. 1 gripe from all these lazy I expect to escape players is that they die more. But that’s the point! Death is the norm escape is the reward. It’s called dead by daylight for a reason.
When escape became the norm the game became dull, flip that on its head and its a survival horror experience again as opposed to the looney toons chase simulator it’s been for the past year.
A lot of people are going to disagree, they miss their escapes but I for one think this is one of the best patches yet.
-
It’s still pretty time of day dependant and it’s still pretty instant to play killer at night where I am.
That said just from a design perspective, it should be expected that killer have a longer queue time as it only takes 1 killer per game to 4 survivors.
Killer should be the power role, the side you play to get your kicks. Like old F13 it was a wait to play Jason but it was great when you did.

'To quote the ol cliche, a fool and his money are soon parted.' 'There is a customer born every minute, and a rube soon after' These quotes have 0 relevance. Are you trying to intimidate me with old proverbs? The fool/rube in this case would be those who pay for DLC and skip the line, which you seem to advocate for. Do you see yourself as the fool/rube?
'Are the timelines on receiving stuff for free excessive? That’s a different topic. But it’s not really a pay to win model it’s a pay to jump the queue model is my point.' What limp response is this? At least defend your own points rather than shift the topic. They become the same thing after a point 'pay to win' or 'pay to skip'. Paying for any advantage be it a skip or exclusive content that offers gameplay changes is pay to win. By virtue of how perks work in DBD, it is 'pay to win' as paying gives access to advantages and content that drastically changes the game. Regardless of availability with iri shards, you'd still be paying to skip a grind, still lending it to a P2W model. DBD is no different than Diablo Immortal and should receive the same scorn.
My, what a waste of time. I'm done.
oh man it’s not about you, you ego maniac. The melodrama.
Also the makers of games don’t really care about the scorn of one customer who can’t afford the things in game but is too impatient to wait for them for free.
Earn a better living then you can rube it up with the rest of us and buy what you like guilt free.
One last note you are on a game forum griping with strangers, something tells me time wasting isn’t a big concern here.
If I had important stuff to do I wouldn’t be here I’d be doing it, but it’s my day off and we’re watching Critters and then playing some don’t look back!
Ah yes fun, the employment of time in a profitless and non-practical way. Try it sometime.

That's a very far cry from why people wanted Reassurance to actually be a good perk.
It has its uses. But it’s a far cry from the solution to camping people keep screaming about.
Personally I don’t think camping needs a solution because it already has one called team work.

Ya, that's near identical to the state of Diablo Immortal. You can obtain everything and max out for free, but it's inconceivable amounts of luck and time. Even if a partially FTP (some purchases) player is trying to get specific perks, there is 0 guarantee that they'll play long enough and stick out a miserable game state to ever see that perk that band-aid fixes a game design issue.
Add that to the fact that even in an average survivor game, you earn less 'experience' towards levels that reward shards. By far the fastest way is to bite the bullet and play killer for shards and bp, shafting surv players further down the progression hole. Want to know how many hours it took me in the old system on my second account to get all surv perks on 1 survivor (t3) while paying real money for all DLC? 920~ish hours. Now the grind to get all perks on 1 surv is even heftier being locked behind prestiges. In what world is that much investment reasonable, at what point does this surpass 'line-skipping' become ridiculous?
But that’s the whole point of online gaming to keep people online.
Daily log in rewards, repetitive challenges and tasks across multitudes of characters, resetting progression system requiring to you repeat it each month etc etc.
All mmo’s, pvp and online systems use it for one thing… to keep you online and playing. It’s a way of ensuring people log in without providing actual new content or at least during the hiatuses between new content.
Are the timelines on receiving stuff for free excessive? That’s a different topic. But it’s not really a pay to win model it’s a pay to jump the queue model is my point.
How much of a sucker someone is for it will typically dictate how much they buy into it. That’s why disposable income is such a wonderful thing. If I want it now I can have it now but usually I’m indifferent enough about it to wait.
To quote the ol cliche, a fool and his money are soon parted.
Or my personal favourite “There is a customer born every minute, and a rube soon after” - Ribald

I’m not afraid to say where behaviour have failed on things. Don’t get me started on mmr, but this whole topic is basically “I want free stuff” why? “Because”
I like free stuff as much as the next person but seriously what kind of spoilt little man childs play this game that they feel entitled to be rewarded for having just played it.

Damn, you should go apply for Blizzard with this kind of take (probably a company dying at a slower rate than a one-trick like BHVR), same mindset as the Diablo Immortal devs. 'You don't need these characters to win' but you consistently address gameplay design flaws or undesirable playstyles through perks. So it's basically 'you'd better pay for them or wait half a decade for the shrine to be relevant or you're not having fun at all'.
Ah but BHVR are not responsible for your impatience. Is the key point here.
It’s not pay to win it’s pay to jump the queue.
Do you shell out for the fast pass at theme parks so you can jump the queue? Basically the same business model.
edit: it’s banking on your impatience the same way other models bank on fomo. Powerful tools in commercialism impatience and fomo makes for eager consumers.
-
Depends on the game. If I went down saving someone else it can be fun to see if it paid off or not.
If it was a particularly good game I might hang around spectating to the end to throw out some gg’s and props.
Typically queue times are long enough without hanging out in game, usually I just move on when playing solo. More games to be had.

Ah the ol have my cake and eat it too argument.
”I hate camping and tunnelling but I don’t want to run any of the perks that help me avoid it because there are better perks for other things, so please give me anti-camping and tunnelling for free thanks”
I run lightborn a lot, not because I need it but basically I’m pretty lazy and like not having to worry about flashlights, flashbangs, locker blind squads, positioning when I pick up survivors.
One could argue it’s a relatively useless perk and not needed but it makes something I’m not a fan of, getting repeatedly blinded easier to avoid so I run it a lot.

I wish they did, but unfortunately they don't.
👍
Don’t get me wrong though there are definitely sleazier ways to go about it, loot crates, random gambling, all pay walls with no alternative means to acquire stuff.
DBD is probably one of the better systems especially when you compare it to money grubbing Sony releases.
Iconic horror characters are behind a paywall but BHVR pay a license to use them so you’d expect that.
Cosmetics are the cash cow but they play no part in gameplay so it’s pay to play dress up or save your money and don’t it doesn’t matter.
Un-licensed content can be acquired with shards. I don’t think I’ve paid for a single un-licensed expansion since I bought the game. (Actually that’s not entirely true spark of madness and chains of hate I dumped cash on).
edit: that’s why the slinger nerf bums me out, he got gutted.

ntm hag is free on consoles + spirit is free on switch and/or other editions of the game
God forbid a company wants to make money from a product they create and sell in a commercial market.
The very backbone of western civilisation is built on capitalism, does a supermarket owe you free food because you are hungry?
-
Not really, pay to win describes a scenario where the only option to get the best stuff is to pay.
There are free avenues to get the perks from paid content but they take time so it’s pay to jump the queue if you like.
But if you want it all free it just takes patience.
See patience was this archaic mindset from a bygone era pre-instant gratification smart phones. You had to wait for things either by mail or some other slow medium and it somehow boosted the payoff when you got it.
It was just part of life and people were able to exercise patience as a result.
So if you want it now you may have to pay but if you want it free you may have to wait.
-
I like the grab mechanic, it means you have to be aware of what you are doing.
It makes actions threatening as they should be and leads to some interesting bait out the grab standoffs.

And this pictures actually mean nothing.
Also 12000 points ain't that bad, players are not gonna get 30k plus every game and to expect it with how current BP rewards work is kinda silly.

no its the fact that the other person that gets camped and tunneled have an unpleasant time and yes u can still save the game but it depends on the teammates u get matchmade with and the killer so the fact that i escaped in this game is just coincidental and hardly ever happens to anyone in soloQ
Everything in this game depends on team mates and match making broad blanket statements that generically cover everything don’t help your point.
You could make the same point about repairing gens they only get done due to team mates and matchmaking.
As for whether or not it’s fun is totally subjective and up to the player. You don’t like camping and tunnelling fine but let’s not commit the folly of applying your opinion of the game to everyone. There’s enough of that around here.
My original point stands, your team out played a camping tunnelling killer congrats for demonstrating that they can be outplayed even by a solo player group.
You’ve done a service here today for everyone who ever said “camping and tunnelling aren’t that bad”

camping and tunnelling are a problem because they can be outplayed like any other mechanic and you can still escape with a lot of points so… er wait a minute???? 🤯

when did i say it wasnt about the tunneling or camping i think ur the delusional one here i said camping and tunneling are the problem
as with the title being tunneling at its finest
But to demonstrate they are a problem you show an example of how they aren’t, you escaped with heaps of points against what you claim was a camping and tunnelling killer so where is the problem?
Did you not get points? No
did fail to escape? No
were you in a swf? No
so basically camping and tunnelling is a problem because when they happen you can get lots of points and escape as a solo player.
I hope my next killer camps and tunnels if this is the outcome!
how can you not see how ridiculously contradictory this is? If the goal is to say camping and tunnelling bad.
-
@CEO said:
and yes i know i shouldve explained more but i forget alot okay (simfeliz)
and i dont even understand what u mean by average survivor (Dead_harder)
and no carth i dont call any action tunneling i even very rarely call things tunneling since there are alot of factore included that wouldnt make it tunneling for example hooking other survivors before going to the same one isnt tunneling or someone who just got unhooked with bt trying to bodyblock also doesnt count as tunneling since its their own fault so maybe you should ask and think before u write
and pseudechis i dont complain about tunneling or camping if it isnt tunneling or camping and i dont care if i escape im playing a game for fun not to sweat my ass off against some loser who decides to be toxic and bhvr isnt catering anything to people who are delusional and tunneling and camping are the problem + cheaters ofc since from the beginning this wasnt a game about defending hook its about defending generators but most killers forget that
and no im not some salty survivor main since ive u would see more of my posts u see i also play killer without tunneling or camping like most people
sorry for bad english
So you made this post to not complain about camping and tunnelling?
Basically what is the point of this thread then?
Are you saying that a killer can camp and tunnel and it’s still possible to escape with a lot of points?
Because it’s either a tongue and cheek jibe at camping and tunnelling or it’s an example of how camping and tunnelling aren’t really the problem people make them out to be.
Or you are just here seeking accolades for nothing because escaping in a computer game isn’t really note worthy.
What’s the point of the discussion I guess is the main question.

You're misunderstanding and/or misrepresenting what I said. Try reading the original post of the thread, I'm not going to summarize it for you here. And I'm not wasting time posting videos of my play that show nurse is broken because it's well known. If you think that's some form of proof that she isn't then fine... I'll have to live with that. lol. The only thing that will definitively PROVE whether she is or not is the actual data, analyzed correctly (various MMRs, accounting for quits, swfs, etc). Until then you just have nearly the entire community of survivors (4/5 of the dbd playing base) that say she's ridiculous but you won't accept it.
What's most aggravating is that I know that the majority of killers know it's true as well. But the vocal ones here defending nurse are the ones that either just want that gravy train to keep rolling or actually believe it's their amazing skill that gives them insane win rates and insane match speeds with nurse. If you're winning 90% of your games with nurse, grow up and realize it's not just you. And let's be clear, when accurately matched, win rates are supposed to be ~ 50%. If you genuinely think Nurse has 50% win rates across the board at various MMRs, then we're just at an impasse until we see well analyzed data. But my play experience, and that of the majority of survivors I have to assume, is that over the hundreds of times I've faced her in the past year, it's almost always a slaughter except for the small # of times it's a new nurse player.
"What's most aggravating is that I know that the majority of killers know it's true as well." The misguided self assurance, its great such ego.
"But my play experience, and that of the majority of survivors I have to assume, is that over the hundreds of times I've faced her in the past year, it's almost always a slaughter except for the small # of times it's a new nurse player." You'd have to assume otherwise your point is meaningless and can be explained by you just not being very good at facing nurse and unable to accept it while also being unwilling to try and change that by improving at the game.
-
Play thematically is a better way to describe it.
Its a horror movie and you are the monster... act accordingly.
The best games are the thematic games.
-
I don't think it has anything to do with Sadako specifically.
There are people who just hate this game in general but for some reason still play it.
They DC at the drop of a hat because they have such a narrow view of how things should play out, the second something happens they don't like its quit and take their ball home "I hate this game."
I'll never understand it.

All nurse does is prove the point that winning is meaningless when you cant lose. A point that is clearly self-evident yet some of you geniuses want to keep throwing ‘pseudo’ at it. Lol. Be my guest…
You’re still banging this drum?
Its not your opponents responsibility to make the game fun for you.
Nobody cares how you feel about losing or whether you respect your opponents.
Nurse is part of the game and yeah she is strong. Go to YouTube and watch some vids about playing against her. Or better yet play her yourself and learn what the tricks are.
You’ll soon see that while strong she can be outplayed just like any other killer.
Why is it everybody else’s responsibility to improve your game for you?

Dead hard being too strong was an opinion of killers. Decisive strike needing the fourteenth nerf was an opinion. Here we are and now survivor is unplayable.
I can't even play it seriously any more. If killer knows how to play then it turns into an altruism game.
Offering up some other biased opinions as rationale for your own doesn't give it more credit, it just becomes an example of another biased irrational opinion.
Survivor is not unplayable, it may be to you but its not for a very large number of gamers. So basically that's BS try again.
Now survivor might be unplayable for you, but that's a you problem, and if we balance around players whom are bad at survivor, then how is that different from balancing the game around killers who are bad? <--- A game ruining proposition according to the core of your topic.
Its just as one sided and silly of a point, but I guess when the point favours your view its ok when it doesn't its bad, this is sounding less factual and more like opinionated bias by the minute.
You are welcome to dislike elements of the game and give reasons why you might not like it and even make suggestions but...
When you frame it as factual evidence of design flaws with enough clout to call game stats into question then you are putting way to much stock in your own opinion.

Observations lead to facts. Survivors have been consistently nerfed while killers consistently buffed since the game was released. The evidence is the trends.
Good killers has never had issues winning consistently but yet killers were buffed anyway. They buffing to balance around bad killers.
Survivors and killers are not held to the same standards.
Let me correct you unbiased observation leads to facts.
trust me it’s my job for the better part of 20 years.
You can give your opinion, you can even design tests to qualitatively test an idea but what you are offering here is the same thing you always do… your biased opinion passed off as some form of expertise.

That wouldn't make any sense though. The evidence is overwhelming they balance for very bad killers. There is zero evidence they do anything to help bad survivors, they are dead when the match starts.
I also forgot to mention Bloodlust was actually buffed, which rewards very bad killers and punishes good survivor gameplay.
So then balancing around bad killers is bad but balancing around bad survivors is good?
Don't confuse your opinion with factual evidence. They only “evidence” you have here that they balance for very bad killers is your opinion that they do.
Opinion does not equal fact.

They’ll even complain about it when they escape and earn a lot of points as the OP demonstrates.

Yeah. As suspected all fluff, no content. I think pseudo intellectual is the most appropriate use of 'pseudo' here. I'm not wasting any more time on your replies buddy. The phrase "winning is meaningless when you cant lose" is simply a succinct statement of fact. There's nothing to trash there but you wanted to talk.
And as for burt0r... I always love when people attack opinions as worthless because they come from "an anonymous nobody". Maybe when you grow up you'll learn to actually digest what you read and weigh its truth or not instead of dismissing it based on not knowing the source. You know, like science or art does. The pieces speak for themselves, regardless of who created them. By your own argument, I ignore you. lol.
All I did was state a simple fact that is relevant for many many games in DBD - OP builds/Killers versus teams of mismatched solos - and point it out. The "wins" are meaningless. It's not like symmetrical games where if you win a lot, you're probably very good at your game. In DBD, Killers get to win all the time because the games are terribly mismatched. No, sorry pal, you're not "good". You're just playing an asymmetrical game with horrible matchmaking. Needs to be said and understood.
I think you mean concise and to the point but you are free to run away from this one, I wouldn't want to debate me on this either.
Its also very clear from the comment chain that you shouldn't, so good call.
Last note if you do read it or if not it doesn't matter but You haven't stated any facts, don't confuse your opinion for fact that's a very common mistake.

You should use a dictionary so you understand the actual meaning of the words you use. They sound pretty but you make no point. 1000x or 10000x… The number of meaningless, easy killer games is vastly greater than 4 man SWF games. And I hazard the number is somewhere between 1000 and 10000. You can try to deflate the point by ridiculing it but it remains true. And “pseudo-profundity”. Lol. You like that one but please, my eloquent friend, explain how the original subject is false.
"The numbers are meaningless"... it was you who used the numbers to frame your point do you not understand your own point?
Re-read your own post, I quoted it, its there its right there in the last sentence. Its a great example of hyperbole I don't need to look it up to know that.
"Winning is meaningless when you can't lose" is a text book example of pseudo-profundity, a common literary weakness in written text.
These statements sell well though because they sound profound or intelligent that's why you see them on T-Shirts, little wooden kitchen signs and in guru self help books.
They make a bad topic for debate though as their context is so open they don't really say anything. Much like your discussion topic which is..
Basically you are losing games and you are angry about it, original subject explained in full.
I mean yeah I mocked your post but hey at this point, you don't need me to make you look foolish you are doing a great job on your own.
-
@Audiophile said:
Yeah I read a few of these replies… My point remains true. Playing these OP builds and killers against solos is meaningless and proves nothing. Yet killers will deny it until their last breath since they need to believe they win because they’re good. Sorry to deflate your ego buddy. And while I will say the primary blame is awful matchmaking, it IS the killer’s fault that they choose to play the OP stuff KNOWING that the odds are that they are going to get yet another easy game and rack up more meaningless “wins”. And yeah, I would say the same about 4 man SWFs who match up against killers below their level. The win is meaningless. It wasn’t a challenge. But the frequency of the former over the latter is like 10000 times greater.
"10000 times greater"... Hyperbole is fun too.
Not as profitable as pseudo-profundity but good for ramping up the emotion of a point in an attempt to make it seem less farcical.
There is a lot of emotion attached to this it must be taken seriously.
Lets put it all together.
"Winning without threat of loss is meaningless, I have no respect for those whom engage in meaningless winning, it happens again and again for 100's of games across 1000's of hours, have we not suffered enough at the hand of those who profit off meaningless wins. Loss is the gel that glues wins together, without it we all melt" - end scene.
I'd like to accept this Oscar on behalf of all the downtrodden gamers whom strive so hard for their fun but are continually denied by merciless winners.

You can and you can also still have a heck of a lot of fun even if you don’t win.
But some people need the obvious spelt out to them because they are so hell bent on spoiling their own fun.
-
It always amazes me how a change that someone may not like, justifiably or unjustifiably, is enough to erase all prior enjoyment of something.
I really like the ones where people say how many hours they’ve played, “I sunk 2k hours into this game it’s now unplayable I want a refund for my wasted money”.
Is it just some kind of deluded entitled consumerist mentality or do people really think they deserve some reward beyond just the fun of an entertainment product?

You misunderstood, 4% IN 2 DAYS. The drop hasn't stopped yet, it's just the beginning.
Ah the ol chicken little reflex.
The sky is falling!

I don’t get what the year has to do with it?

I’ll only do it if the last survivor is right there where I downed the third survivor. Otherwise, I don’t wanna waste everyone’s time including mine.
You’re right it’s much more entertaining to spend time between games waiting in queues than on 4mins of cat and mouse at games end.
My only wish is that menus lasted longer and games were over quicker.

Sorry but until we evolve past the "my potential imaginary friend is better than yours and I am willing to kill you for it" mindset, i would say we haven't managed to evolve past the state of pests. (Same btw with national territorialism and culture hate, we are all the same apes)
Way more efficient than other animals, but still not much more than pests.
yeah I know it.
Its interesting to see it in this form though, over something as meaningless as a online game.
Especially when engaging in it often means leaving half a product you bought unused because of a diehard affiliation with one side.

the funny thing is, even if the whole team brought cake, you get tunneled and facecamped.
But that would be perfectly fine. Bringing a bonus BP offering doesn't obligate anyone to play a particular way.
Players can't go using offerings as a means to compel people to play how they want them to play.
"I brought a BP offering you owe me a fair game as defined by me" Its a really ridiculous mindset to have about the game.
(I'm not saying this is specifically your mindset, but the irony you're trying to convey in this lil gag requires the aforementioned mindset to be the plausible expectation).

fact is that they should modify things in order to make tunneling and camping not viable and in the same time they should make the "fairplay" gameplay actually viable and rewarding... a pity that the game mechanics incentivize the 1st one and the devs didn't nothing concrete about the 2nd...
Ah the tyranny of "fair play". Rears its ugly head again.
Camping and tunnelling have their place in the game like anything else and there a tools to assist with it and fight against it.
I'd hate this game to lock everyone into a single play style, where you have to double hook everyone all the time and play is just formulaic consistency, that is the epitome of dull.
If there was no threat of elimination till second hook state and you had tools to make sure everyone else must be on second hook state before anyone can die we could achieve the fair play utopia of uneventful safety.

US... NO THEM... US YAY... THEM BOO.
I realise humans are still primitive tribal apes with better phones, but can we really get past the us vs them in this game.
-
I love pseudo-profundity.
Here's some more to get you going be sure to say it with a stilted pause for gravitas.
Simplest State the obvious...
i.e. "Death comes for us all"
Step it up a notch with counter meanings
i.e. "sanity is normalized crazy"
Take it up another notch with cryptic surrealism (AKA mashing together indirect nouns).
i.e. "space is the breath of design"
1000's of self help guru's can't be wrong... start your journey to sounding intelligent and profound, when you really aren't, today!

Everyone likes winning, but I can't say I care enough to dwell on it longer 5 seconds after games end.
-
Because its fun, that's all the reason you need to play a game.
The only people not having fun are the one's who want more than fun from it...
I wanna win every game
I wanna pip every game
I wanna have an unrealistic consistency to all games even when playing with random strangers
I take the game very seriously
I take the game very personally
My self worth is based on outcome of a game
I deserve things simply because I play
Better known as how to ruin your own fun 101.

Makes me think of the first 40 mins of the movie Demolition Man.
Now that movie is terrible but the world they created is great.
"you are fined 1 credit for violation of the verbal morality standard"
