Left behind was tough. Complete the last gen and escape by gates as the last survivor. A lot has to go just right for that one to work.
Farmed it. Only legitimately achieved that after the fact one time.

If blindness is too hard for you to play around, that's a skill issue.
My goodness the post-pandemic WoO training wheels crutching crowd is mind boggling in their inability, or rather, refusal to do anything but what they saw their favorite content creator do.
I don't run windows though.
I'm guessing you do though, since that's apparently the only perk you think is affected by blindness.

What fun builds do you run that are shut down by Blindness?
I play solo and run Empathy, Detective's Hunch, and Counterforce.

I don't think UW is a top-tier source of information - screaming tells the survivor when it's active, so they can run or hide as soon as their location is revealed, making the killer waste a lot of time on top of the activation cost of locating and opening a locker. But it's pretty great for tunneling if you can identify your tunnel-target by the scream.
On the other hand, 30 seconds Blindness on top of a not half-bad info perk feels disgusting to me, even though I only play killer. It's like budget Third Seal with ranged activation, and no way to disable. Sure it's not permanent, but it'll be there when it matters.
Yeah. The blindness is what is annoying.

I hate games and movies that are too dark. I mean I guess I'll try a game or two to see if this is fun, but I have my doubts.

The Grade system did work though. When everyone was Red rank I always had decent teammates. Skilled killers. I could always play with my friends who weren’t as good, and didn’t have to worry about “losing”. For as long as I pipped while playing with them I was fine.
Now whenever I play with my friends for fun instead of sweat teams I lose more often than winning. Which means my MMR is dropping for choosing to have fun even though my skill level is higher. So now I’m put with potatoes, and lemmings. It wasn’t this way before. Not from my experience.
The same with killer. Tunneling was not so bad in Red ranks because killers wouldn’t pip by tunneling. At most you’d break even. To pip as killer you had to make the matches last longer, and do everything else.
MMR took away the core value of DBD (Pipping), which ruined the entire game imho.
Yep. Get to solo as a red rank player and immediately find yourself with survivors that AFK, DC, or Kobe themselves to death. Chases that last all of 15 seconds. Get close to ranking up, but nope. Here is 3 depips in a row because someone didn't like the killer they were up against or got downed first.
Sucks

@TheArbiter said:
While I get the frustration of feeling like Killers and Survivors during events don't "chill" I can assure you a Casual mode would not work in DBD. Everybody who would want an easy game to stomp others would use that mode
Nah, you'd still have people that would play ranked to get there BP rewards on the 13th.
Not to mention you could make casual mode more casual by having respawns or other ways to make it so you don't just get eliminated.
-
If it takes years to implement a way to view teammates perks, I'd hate to know how long this do nothing mechanic took. And for what?
Regardless of your take on camping/proxy camping/tunnelling, this was an absolute waste of resources by BHVR.
-
The AMA are always a joke. They just answer meme questions, give nothing answers, or just outright ignore good questions.
That said, I found this video pretty lame. They have changed perks that It's has found to be problematic.
He, like many players and streamers are just annoyed that MMR got tweaked and he doesn't get super easy matches on a regular basis.
I don't even dislike Otz, but just calling it how I see it. I still have fun playing, but this game definitely deserves criticism. I just found this to be a little over the top. BHVR is not acting any different (for better or for worse) than they have since Otz has been playing it. Now he's getting some tougher games and all of a sudden BHVR sucks? Lol, sure.
-
Trickster seems like he's going to be terrible to play against now. I already disliked him enough before.
MFT change is pretty bad too, but classic BHVR.
Smaller maps are pretty fair though.
2/10 patch.
-
Eh. Sweaty killers every single game. Not that many BP. Once you complete the challenges there is no progression.
The void thing and the ghost thing could be cool eventually, but definitely nothing of note right now.
If you're having a different experience though, I'm glad you're enjoying it.
-
Not splitting hairs, but I agree with OP. Not sure what the point of this even is.
-
Add me to the list as well. PS5. Other games are working. Wired Internet.

@Venusa said:
De-pipping is outdated and most of the time out of your control. Your performance in game doesn't matter if you get baby teammates or a killer that decides to facecamp/tunnel you out. But you're the one getting punished for it. Remove de-pipping PERIOD.
Exactly. Yeah some games that I depip, I'm the dude that gets caught first and just plays terrible and dies pretty quickly. But many games it's because a survivor doesn't like the killer and leaves the game early, causing another survivor to do the same. No unhooks. No gens. Even if you farm with the killer the rest of the match (lol what killer actually does that anymore, it's not 2018 anymore), you're still likely to depip at red ranks.
Depipping sucks.

it is his only issue
plus his bugged collision of course
any nerfs to his basekit is absolutely unnecessary.
Disagree. He has absolutely no downsides whereas all other killers do (with the exception of maybe Wesker as well).
You can't have a killer with that strong of a power with zero downside.
You could nerf him a little bit and he'd still be plenty strong.
-
I've always said the best way to prevent early Kobe self kills is to have Kobe attempts cost in game blood points. I'd shoot for 8k as the number.
That would persuade some people to stay in the game, but more importantly you would have to stay in the game long enough to accrue blood points in the first place to try to Kobe yourself out of the game.
Sure more people would DC and the bots are still pretty terrible, but bots are still better than someone dying on hook as soon as possible.
-
Hooks should just be treated like the cages. Maybe not during EGC or after all five gens are done if you want to give killers the option to secure a kill or potentially snow ball.

Lets see. In the last days i´ve seen threads asking to nerf: Nurse, Sadako, Wesker, Trapper, Wraith, Clown, Legion, Trickster, Artist, Bubba and Skull Merchant.
So uhm *checks notes* Twins and Demodoggo are pretty save to take.
I love going against Demo. Hopefully I'll see him again within the next year.
And the twins are survivors now.
-
Wraith is the new Freddy (before was gutted)
-
I farm singularity challenges. He's too clunky for my abilities.
-
@JustAnotherNewbie said:
At least they'll chase. I much prefer him to Nurse's who camp and then camp with NOED cause they have no confidence in their power.
Not like Wesker was that different from the killers I saw bring a Mori during the event lol.
Lol. They definitely don't all chase.
-
Lol. Played three games this morning. Hard camped in the first two. Killer camped someone else in game three.
Just boring as all hell. Can't wait for some of these "legitimate play styles" to get the kibash.
-
Let me bottom line this one for you. If you're going to run that build because of Made For This, you were going to run this same build or something similar anyway. Because winning games is important to you.
If survivors lost all of their perks, you would still run strong builds. Because you want to win.
If survivors started in deep wounds. You would still run strong perks. Because you want to win.
There is nothing wrong with wanting to win. There is usually nothing wrong with running strong stuff and using strong tactics (though during an event like this, I'd argue you should probably loosen up just a bit). I do find it a little obnoxious when someone pretends that the only reason they use strong perks, add-ons, and killers is because of "this perk" or "this offering". It's just not realistic.
Survivor perks get nerfed all the time, and I still run into plenty of strong killers with strong load outs wrecking shop.
-
If you can play Friday the 13th The Game competitively, you can definitely play DBD competitively.
-
In your scenario I would consider that tunneling. You paid for the game, you can play how you like, but yeah other people are not going to love getting found and eliminated from the game in four minutes (especially during an event).
My general rule of thumb is once the game gets down to two gens, then I want to start eliminating people. There are exceptions (challenges/adepts), but I really don't care if I win every game as killer and I'm personally not going to eliminate someone with four gens left that went stage two during an event.
-
I think basekit unbreakable with three or four survivors is a recipe for disaster.
That said, once the game is down to two survivors, basekit unbreakable should absolutely be a thing.
The whole slug the last guy and then hang just out of terror radius or wait four minutes while the other survivor hides is so atrociously boring and should not be a thing. Hell I'd even trade to make it where BBQ is basekit when it gets down to two people as well just to further pursuade killers to hook and find the last survivor.
-
I think it's a well designed perk and hope they take their time to make any changes with it.
I play more survivor than killer, but I can't say I feel over powered going up against it as killer (yet).
-
I dislike Wesker because
A) I just play against him too much. Same as Huntress used to be. When half your matches are against one killer, it stinks.
B) Most of them use Lethal Pursuer it sucks to have a killer on you in less than three seconds of the start of the game.
C) Latency issues make him difficult to counter at times. Very difficult. Like sometimes he appears to be abandoning chase walking away and then all of a sudden he's hitting you with his power. Feels bad man.
I don't hate Wesker and understand that for the most part people play as him because he is well designed from a killer point of view (and probably balance POV as well). I just would like to see less of him.

Surprisingly not the weirdest question I was asked today.
Marry: Hag I need someone to take care of me for a change.
F: Artist, Spirit, and SM AT DA SAME DAMN TIME.
Kill: THE REST + NEA
I would not marry the Hag. I'd feel trapped.
I'd marry the Huntress as she's big into family.
I'd ######### the skull merchant, artist, plague, nurse, or spirit.
I'd kill the pig because she's too mean and untrustworthy.
-
I don't mind farmers, but admittedly I've seen maybe 2 or 3 total in the last three years and I have thousands of hours in this game so it's not like I don't play enough to encounter more of them.
I envy you people that see them enough to make a post on the forums complaining about them that's for sure.
-
He just seems too complicated. Honestly a ton of the new killers are too complicated for me. I always buy them and level them up, but rarely feel like spending the time to play them.

Ey, I love lethal, plus, it's not like overpowered... The perk is fine
Lol. I love it too as killer. With the tunnel meta, it kinda sucks when you're playing survivor and you get a Wesker, Nurse, Huntress, or Blight that decides to eliminate you from the game in four minutes (or less) though
-
Unpopular opinion, but Lethal is a problematic perk. I think it should only keep the extended aura reading and not the beginning of game aura reading.
Strong killers like Nurse, Wesker, Blight, huntress get too big of an early game jump when they really don't need to. "Just run distortion". True, but perks as counters to perks is just more RNG and it doesn't really address the real issue.
Perks that significantly aid strong killers probably need to be toned down. And Lethal would be near the top of the list for me.

In addition to many of the above, vaulting into a locker. We want over the wall not into the coffin.
I had one where I was running towards the hatch and for some reason dove into the locker that I wasn't even facing. Very good stuff behavior. Thank you.
-
Yeah. I never get this mentality. People play for many reasons. Fun, blood points, PIPs. When you're on hook and someone saves you, at the very least they're getting some BP and emblem points. Just let them get the safe unhook and then die.
-
@BlueRose said:
Not going to disagree with you that survivors sometimes get the short end of the stick when it comes to perks but here the major thing you and many others need to remember about survivor perks vs killer perks. In a single match survivors only has to go against one type of perk(one pain res(4 uses), one Deadlock, and ect) but a killer has to worry about going against 4 of the same perk sometimes. DH for example was horrible to go against bc the chances of going against 3+ DHs was a pain. If it was only one DH on one survivor then DH wouldn't be that big of a issue. MFT is kinda like this. One MFT probably wouldn't be that big of a issue but if becomes meta a killer going to have to worry about 4 of them every single match. This is why I think survivors perks do need to be heavy regulated bc if a single perk becomes to op that powerful perk becomes 4 powerful perks each match.
Yeah, but old dead hard and sprint burst are literally the only two perks that I can think of where I'd say "geez another sprint burst" or "geez another dead hard".
I'd never say "oh c'mon they have any means necessary too" "another we'll make it, c'mon!"
-
Only used it once for the adept. Killer had Franklins. So nah.
-
@Pulsar said:
I don't really mind so much with Wesker and Nemesis. It actually really softly nerfs Wesker's tunneling ability, which is really good.
With Pinhead though, I find it to be a very sizable nerf. With Franklin's, I only needed to get a single hit. Now I've got to commit to a down.
Yeah, but as it was, Pinhead was just a solo stomper anyway. He could use a nerf against solo. Probably won't make a much of a difference with SWF.

I can only assume, but the Devs tend to not start events at the same date as launches. Probably to avoid having to fix too much when things break.
Makes sense. Would be cool is there was no blood points cap though

No it shouldn't, it means downing a survivor near an exit gate is a guaranteed escape, despite the fact that you've downed the survivor.
Should have killed him earlier. Why should he lose our on a perk because he played well?
-
@Pulsar said:
In this current meta, it should be 5 seconds, at least. I'd consider buffing it more, but not before seeing it action.
As of right now, it barely gets you 8 meters of distance.
Should still be used during end game as well.
-
I feel like this should be pinned for a month or two
-
My biggest complaint with playing as trapper is just lack of grass.
My biggest complaint from a survivor standpoint is that so many play as basement trapper, which just means everyone is going to kill themselves going for the save or everyone is just going to let the survivor die on first hook while the pump gens. Boring games.
-
A capture the flag mode would be cool. Maybe 3 survivors and two killers on a team. Killers can't leave there side of the map. When a survivor goes down they respawn on their side of the map.
A casual mode where the survivors have to beat the clock. Each hook shortens the clock. No one is eliminated. Eliminations are part of the reason this game creates a lot of bad vibes.
1 v 1 mode would be fun.
Probably a lot they could do. We just get more killers though and some crummy maps.
-
Thanks. Hopefully they last long enough for when I get home from work
-
@Mandy said:
I love this perk and have used it a lot and tend to get some good value out of it if I play aggressively with it. However, with the medkit changes I use it less as it's a bit harder to get those heals from the protection hits.
Why do you have to be up someone's butt in order to get a protection stack? If both players are in chase with the killer it should proc. There are times I'm within 4 meters and I still don't get a protection stack.
-
I didn't notice mine yesterday either. Haven't logged on yet today.

For what it's worth I'm not excusing that behavior. I just know Pinheads are a bear against solo teams.

If he was farming how do you really know how strong he was?
