I would surprised they bring back the Alchemist hence they totally forgot seasonal events even existed.
A DbD Jekyll like sounds like a nice theory.
Fun idea here. If it is a Dr.Jekyl Mr. Heid sort of thing. Mr. Heid untransformed could be the survivor and dr.jekyl could be killer. Just an interesting thought I doubt I'm right but I think it would be pretty cool.

Come on guys stop feeding this guy he's about to reach his final form! Your a master forum post baiter.

Ummm.... Save the best for last is not demos perk?.. And the dlc is optional. Sure bbq and decisive help a lot but you dont need them, and for only what $7 you get 2 characters and 6 perks. I dont see the problem.
I don't understand it either. I think maybe if 5 dollars is too much for you you probably have more important immediate concerns. You should probably take a break from the games and focus on your real world problems 1st. Its longevity their going for and I support it. I don't want to see DBD go away for a longtime and the dev's have really shown a commitment to improving qol and bringing new content. So keep doing what you do BHVR and take my money!

I dont know about that if you make good predictions you can hit through walls in choke points without the need of only going for the animation lock hit. I've played PH a ton and for me using his skill is extremely skillful also dependent on good reads. I pull off god shots quiet frequently against good players. By god shot I mean we're running a loop they go around a corner and I hit them several seconds after they've left my fov. I play survivor a lot as well I understand how the loops work and how to run them so I make those good predictions fairly frequently. I have days like anyone where I miss majority of them and end up baiting the shockwave for the m1. I dont feel hes a skill less as is being implied.

Because killers are going to dodge them
I'm of the mind that while SWAT TEAM SWF exists, they are not nearly as prevalent as people believe they are (to put a number down, let's call it 15%).
So while 15% of SWFs are God mode jerks, 85% of SWFs are friends who just want to play together. BUT if you're a killer and you see 4 SWF group, why would you even gamble on getting stuck with the jerk SWAT SWF team? Now any SWF team, regardless of actual skill, is getting lobby dodged constantly and they quit, killing a large chunk of your playerbase and possibly killing your entire game as enough people quit.
I'm sure its different for everyone but I think 15% is low. In my experience at rank 1 with killer. It's been about 50/50 with some leeway before the new mmr of course. I used to play mostly rank 1-2 survivors that appeared to be highly organized so I would guess swf but it's always just that a guess. More often than not they deserved their rank. It made me much better at the game than I already was. Its stressful and intense but it's an addicting rush. I do think in the post game it would be good info to have so you can better judge the overall outcome of the match.

SWF isn't an issue for the devs..not the killers. Killers will start to dodge lobbies if they realize they are going to go against a SWF.
Baby killers maybe (anything out of red ranks) I'm a rank 1 that enjoys the challenge. It really tests your mettle as a killer and improves your competence as well. It can be frustrating back to back to back with no chill games in between. Still it's much more enjoyable to crush a swat squad then bad players that just put in tons of time into the game. I'm not the only one who thinks like this either most of my buddies are the same. I know not everyone's like that but still everyone assumes none wants to play vs swf.

Need a sample to figure out you rank did you think they could just know your skill by pulling it out their ass
That wasnt constructive lol I do wonder what number of matches you have plat before it actually balances you into you bracket.

Well top tier surv will have problems. But mmr needs few game per killer to get them at least to close range of the survs they can go agains.
I'll give it time but if things don't level out within a few weeks dbd is gonna be in some trouble.

Wait till mmr gets calibrated all starting from same ground. Ranks means nothing now. And there are some red ranks that have skills like rank 15 players since they only play swf groups and get their asses boosted.
I'm really hopeing it's just an issue of people taking time to fall into their bracket and it just needs more time.

Nothing like being a Rank 16 killer just trying to Challenges done and getting into games with nothing but Red 1 rank survivors EVERY game. It brings so much joy into my life getting pallet stunned, teabagged, flash lighted, body blocked, hooks dropped, totems gone in 30 secs, teams. I woke up this morning and I couldn’t wait to get online and face it over and over and over and over and over and over and over again trying to get my last challenge done.
Then you've got the opposite of the spectrum for me. Rank 1 killer going against yellow and gray ranks about half the matches. The other half is just a rainbow of ranks. Now I have to let people go in chase's. Give free unhooks and free heals. I can't play to the full potential now for fear lower ranks are going to dc and deny me hooks bp and actually playing and enjoying the game. Their not used to the rank 1 madness and I dont blame them. I miss playing red rank battle hardened swat teams. At least they dont typically dc when I do well. I've got to agree 100% the ranking system is jacked up right now.
-
Personally for me the matchmaking has been all over the place since the update. Before it was almost b guaranteed no matter what killer I played I faced all reds. Now though every match is extremely different ends of the rank spectrum and typically they ranks are playing within their rank skill level. It makes me wonder if their testing the new mmr. I suppose it could be random luck as unlikely as it seems. Side note Leather face is definitely a harder killer to play you need good perk synergy to take on high rank teams with him. Gl.

Are you sure they didn't secretly implement it? I'm facing full yellow rank teams and I have never in all my time as rank 1 killer played all yellow rank teams before

Freddy, huntress and tier 1 and 3 myers are all different too. Pig's lunge is not normal.
I was about to seriously join this conversation as I really enjoy playing pig and have a lot of hours in her as rank 1 killer. I'm also rank 1 survivor and very used on both sides of this arguement. But when you say things like this refusing to acknowledge reality and fact. Makes me 80% sure this is troll bait. The other 20% I suspect a low rank with few hours in the game. Could be both though.
-
Killers for sure. I have to agree that its not buffing/nerfing we necessarily need. Its map size. Hard to apply pressure on big maps and keep momentum going.
-
*aggressive comment attacking your opinion*
-
Biggest concern is the quick hook sabotage. I've experience some gnarly groups abuse the hook sabotage as is. Its going to be even more intense with the quick hook drops.
-
Its for the lone wolfs and solo play. As others have said its self sufficiency relying on others even red ranks survivors can still be a big gamble for a heal. Besides how am I supposed to go for the hook save take a hit, taunt the killer into going after me so homie can escape while injured. If I don't bring a med kit its probably on my build. Talk all the trash you want its served me well.
-
I love getting the " why you tunnel me?" after they've been unhooked. And you don't even go anywhere near the hook. You look over and theirs the unhooked survivor trying to hide in plain sight. They expect you to just turn around and walk away. Not happening that's not how this game works. Lol If I'm feeling merciful I'll slug so your mates have a chance of getting you up. I play both sides and don't complain either way.

If you're a killer and don't run to the opposite side of the map after every hook and ensure that each survivor gets hooked 3 times despite losing all the gens in the process, you're a toxic trash killer

I have literally never seen anyone saying that NOED has no counter lol.
You keep saying "jUsT dO tOtEmS" even though no one complains about that xD
Surf around the forums enough its their.
-
Definitely a good nurse on console. You can tell almost immediately. She's an unnatural force. Huntress mains as well because of the skill and time it takes to learn her like nurse. The pig also because she's one of my mains and I know how difficult she can be to use. I would say plague and clowns but I haven't played against either in many months. It saddens me.
-
They say theirs no counter. 99 the exit gates and cleanse every totem you see. Really just 99% the door is huge. I've trained my swf group on that. Since I've got them all doing it we haven't been hit with it in days. Easy.
-
Why people so mad at slugging? Lol camping I get its lame boring and takes very little skill. Slugging though I don't get it has perk counters for a reason. On top of that I pretty much assume everyone has ds at higher ranks. If your unlucky enough I run into you again and I can't remember how long its been since you were unhooked. I think tunneling is way to broad and overly miss used term. I get messages calling me out for tunneling when I'm juggling all 4 survivors with 2 gens left. Sorry if you got unhooked and stumbled into me again but I'm not letting you go. I just don't get it. I play both sides pretty much equally and the only thing that bugs me as a survivor is a well hidden insidious camping bubba. I get slugged and I get tunneled just like everyone else it happens to everyone. I don't get on the forums and complain about it. Its game don't take it so seriously folks. Its bad for your health.

It's not really a defense, it's the reason why. Non-humanoid killers would require completely different animations, since they would be rigged differently. To use Chucky, as an example, he would need a new set of animations because he's so small. Any time you hooked a survivor, he would either grow to be 7+ feet tall or stay small and hit the sickest three pointer you've ever seen.
Just yes please! Lol
-
Wasn't fussed about changes to either. I think the DC penalty change is much needed. Im guilty of dcing for one reason or another at some point. Ruin didn't affect me as survivor and didn't use it much as killer. So I could take it or leave it. Good for new survivors I guess.

I love this cosmetic and its funny as ######### with the nose and ears flapping around. But my problem is that, should there really be skins for Killers that are "funny" and redicioulas? I personally think in a game like Dbd those skins doesnt make sense and should not be in the game, thats just my opinion, what about your thoughts?
Should we get more funny skins for killers and does it even fit or not?
You not see all the blood around his mouth from all the children he eats? Menacing AF!

Sorry nobody finds it fun to sit on the ground bleeding out for 5 minutes.
If I can crawl away and hide from the killer as i bleed to death I take it as a small victory. You get a few less points I get to giggle as I bleed out. I try to find little wins anywhere I can in this game.
-
It might have just been a lucky night because I had a similar experience. No DC's or 1 hook deaths even on teams I had to slug out with 1 gen left. Almost all 4k team wipes. No hate mail. In fact the opposite after sending out a few ggs after games only recieved positive responses. Even made a new friend after I slaughtered him & his team. It gave me hope for the DbD community. I don't expect their to be too many nights like this but we've got to enjoy them while we can. Lol Peace, love, and DbD.
-
Been a clown main since he came out. I think as far as cosmetics go he gets spoiled and I'm okay with that.
-
I don't feel like everyone here grasps the game very well. Good lolz!

2+kills as killer. (Don't care how)
2+ escapes as survivor. (Doesn't need to be me. Long as I get some good running time in.)
Getting bp is good but its really about having fun. Which I've been having more since I began taking this game less serious. That said killer is still extremely frustrating so laughing mid match at my silly mistakes to allow for a 4 man escape helps.

Removed? Like you can see the survivor at all times. Can't even look around while healing without revealing your location. It's also not very commonly used perk. You should be able to eliminate the one survivor giving you free wall hacks every 20 games and if not, it's a skill issue, not Object being OP.
Have you seen or experienced the plays that can be pulled with OoO?
-
Thanks for the info it's appreciated. Its hard to keep up with all the changes over the years.

"Baby babies."
-
I switch between killer and survivor I would have to dedicate to one or the other if I wanted to get through each tome. I enjoy both sides too much to stick to one. I still don't think it's enough time. Can't always complete every challenge in a match or two. Either way I'll just keep taking the free BP for em if they want money from me for it something has got to change.

The bit where you don't see your ranks, not any time soon. That'll be once we are sure this system is working well and officially make the switch away from the old ranking system.
That logic doesn't really make any sense. What is their to get confused about? The ranking system is not the best but that's no reason to remove rank. It still shows your level of dedication and skill more or less and lets you typically join matches with people near you're rank. When you get owned as killer survivor it can give you a little peace of mind knowing you lost to people higher rank than you makes the 4 man sac even more satisfying too. How would removing this make anything better how is this a QoL improvement? I like knowing ranks let's me know how I preform against different rank survivors and vise versa as survivor. I don't complain about many changes but I fail to see any logic in removing rank.

Make sure to get your item build out too, they should be an optional item you can grab when you search any chests in-game.
One word legend. Pulling items out of matches has been my jam lately on DBD. Thanks for the reminder lol
-
I feel like the grind of the rift is not worth it at all for me. I can play 2 maybe 3 hours a day if I'm lucky. The work and time you must put in to complete all 4 tomes is just to much. The rewards are not worth the time spent. I do like the extra BP though that to me is all the reward I need. I just can't justify spending 10 bucks and still have to earn the rewards.

The "Will-O-Wisp" Flashlight performs the same as an ordinary Flashlight. The difference is that when used, it projects an image of a ghost onto the surface it is pointing towards. Gameplay-wise, this has no effect; it's just for aesthetics.
"Chinese Firecracker", "Winter Party Starter" and "Third Year Party Starter" are all firecrackers which possess 1 charge (one use). They differ in terms of visual design and colour when used, although they all function the same:
- Upon pressing the button to use an item (Default: Mouse 2), the firecracker will drop to the ground with a sound effect.
- After a brief duration, the firecracker will explode. If the killer is close enough to the firecracker, and is facing it, the killer will be blinded and deafened temporarily. This killer sees the same effect as if they were blinded by a flashlight and similarly, will drop any carried survivor.
Time to stock up on firecrackers! Thanks for the info.
-
Also remember their are four more tomes so theirs a good chance it's in tier 3 or 4.
-
I thought it was lame at first to but. I'm cool with extra blood points. Im actually going to start using it for those ultra I'm going to kill myself I'm so altruistic matches. 😎

@NMCKE said:
This would be a simple:
- Intoxicated survivors will be forced to slow vault pallets and vaults.
- Survivors do not see the killer's red stain while intoxicated.
Just make him better in chases while being weaker in map pressure.
Killers are supposed to be good at what they do, while having a weakness. 😁
Its really the only thing the makes sense to me in a change for clown. Would make him more efficent at ending chase's but not to OP.
-
@ProfessorDunwich said:
What does he need? To be deemed "unfun," "annoying," or "frustrating" for baby survivors to go against. Then he would get a "rework." As people tend not to complain about him (except people who play him, they don't count), he will languish in low-tier indefinitely.
Unfortunately you are right. I love playing clown but he gets a lot less viable in high ranks. Which saddens me because he was my first main until the sad realization.
-
They would certainly need to address map size before gen speed. If maps get to a more balanced in size and a few infinite loops could use addressing. Not that I don't love abusing them as a survivor myself the more powerful ones can be quiet irritating.
-
People over simplify how easy it is to play killer at higher ranks. I play both sides a lot and its quiet obvious the easier side to play is definitely survivor. The skill required to be a high rank killer vs survivor skill gap is huge.
-
I would definitely be sad been playing this game a long time. Not the best not the worst at it on either side. I love it despite all the flaws. Its so unique and different from the normal gaming community. I'm absolutely bored or not shooters and RPGs. I enjoy the difficulty at higher ranks although it gets extremely difficult to play killer at high ranks. I say keep content coming, keep updating and trying to make the game better because it may be a long time before we get something this unique again.
-
I'm an average killer green ranks and I'm fighting red ranks regularly. Its getting pretty obvious at even this point how survivor sided the game really is. I have definitely put much more time into survivor and the skill gap between the two is a bit too sizable. Unfortunately it makes playing the killer extremely discouraging for many of us.
-
My first killer I legitimately got gud with was clown. For me its his look, the wheezing, the fume choked laughter when he gets a hit. Also he's got some of the best/terrifying outfits in the game. Nothing's more satisfying than lobbing bottles directly at the loop a survivor is running too and stopping them just short of a pallet or vault. As well I think his story is dark, creepy, and fits so perfectly for the character. Also his mori is just gross and I love it.
