i were a main killer and never liked to play survivor that much but since the RE chapter released gens feel SO much faster, then i played some matches as survivor to see if it was just me being dumb or what

well i really think gens are really fast at the point that either you play spirit, nurse or any killer that have massive map pressure with ruin/undying/pop/corrupt or you'll just end the match with one hook if you're lucky, like, i watched some really good streamers playing as killer and they struggled the whole match just to get one or two hooks, idk if anyone feels like me but it feels really bad to play as killer, and it doesn't feel really good to play as survivor either.

am i that dumb and gens are the same they used to be or any of you feel that gens got faster too?

If every survivor was on a gen from the beginning of the match without 0 interceptions from the killer it would take 3 minutes to finish all of them. (Not taking into count finding gens and running to new ones). If you manage to get ONLY 1 HOOK in 3 minutes then I'm sorry to tell you but it's most likely your fault that the games are ending quickly.

Survivor is 500 times easier than killer. Killers have to mind game, monitor generators, get abused by toxic groups, deal with poor gen spawns, have hex perks spawn at survivors feet so it gets cleansed the second the match starts, and killers have to know when to drop a chase.

Meanwhile a survivor just needs friends and a mouse that has M1.

It appears that you haven't played spirit or freddy lol. Dumbass rank 15 killer main

  • I don't understand why this perk is being nerfed. It's good for stealth killers as you can't see the auras of undetectable killers while they can still see you (This is literally the only argument people have why this perk is "overpowered"). You could compare this to NOED on the killers side but at the end of the day the developers are all like rank 16 killer mains so people complaining won't change anything

Also nerfing this would in a way buff Freddy, an already broken, piece of ######### killer that requires no actual skill.

  • @Wesker said:

I'm making a list of the killers who are literally being killed by this perk (if used from guys with some brain cells)

    -Freddy: in dream world you have no terror radious so this perk works as a mindgame sniper while running tiles;

    -Deathslinger: his stealth factor is cancelled by the perk, couple if the map is too big and... Well prepare vaseline;

    -Hag: Object let you know where she's placing traps, so taking profit from them become insanely hard;

    -Michael Myers (Evil Within II + Monitor&Abuse): forget your peek-a-boo strategy with EWII left at 99%;

-Monitor&Abuse users are generally ######### up against those who run Object.

The point is, what this perk does to these killers? 1. Gives massive informations of where you are and what you are doing, it completely SHUT DOWN Hag, Deathslinger, and Michael becouse of their lower TR and their playstyles involving around being sneaky: place traps in hidden spots/aiming gens from a certain distance/Come out from a corner with level III ready to pop. Object completely SHUT DOWN Freddy, who has no TR in Dream World, so this perk reads his aura everytime no matter how much he's close: this means that mindgaming loops is close to be.. Impossible. And everyone knows, despite Freddy has a solid arsenal after the buff, he's M1, so he relies a lot on the basic mindgames of M1 killers during chases. And at the end, it makes Monitor&Abuse less confusing for survivor. Simple: this perk shouldn't affect Terror Radious. *derpface*

You're crying about OoO when noed is a thing.

Plz give us a Option where the Killer can turn of SwF so U are Not get Matched against SwF Groups.

Im so tired of having Instant Loses Games because SwF is so broken if u dont play Meta Killer like Nurse, Spirit, Hag, Freddie and maybe Blight and Oni u dont have a Chance in high rank against a SwF Team

In my Last Games i Had a SwF Team that has finished 4 Generators in Just 1 and a half Minutes and i wasnt bei able to Hook my 2nd Survivor also Object of Obsession is Just a broken Perk in a coordinated group

Plz Devs do Something against SwF i would rather have longer waiting Time than having Games that are so unfair

Or nerf some Meta Survivor Perks or Gen Speed or give the Killer some Perks Like the old Ruin or Something so U have better Chance to Gen Protection. Survivor have so many Perks and Add Ons to make Gens faster but the Killer dont have any good Perks to deacrease Gen Speed

It sounds like you literally suck at the killer. I main a level 20 billy and a level 40 wraith with like no perks at red ranks and don't see the problem. Tbh I find playing against SwF more fun, especially when you 4k the toxic clicky clicky flashlight ones.

I'm not joking at all; I'm open about the fact this account is new. And for the record, I don't play Bubba. I play Myers. I will continue to play him until I feel I am competent with him. Only then will I move on. However, whether or not this account (or me myself) is actually new, it has no bearing on what I'm pointing out. What demonstrates your incompetence as a Survivor is what you are saying. I just find it funny that it is always people who are new here that seem to be spewing these little screeds.

New/bad Survivor pops on and goes off. This Perk/Killer is OP and broken. It is killing the game! FIX IT. This is followed by sage, more experienced Players pointing out the obvious counter play that you are not yet skilled in applying. The next step is the same, idiotic response where the OP refuses to accept any helpful advice or admit he/she could possibly have been wrong. Thread continues for a long time while OP continues to make an even bigger fool of him/herself until they are nothing left that a joke that we continue to laugh about for months. You going to be the joke of the quarter or actually learn something?

I guarantee you I'm a better survivor and a killer player than you. Also I guess you just gave me an answer to why you need NOED. The green ranks are usually pretty good against myers as they like to hide. Other than that, NOED is an OP and broken perk. That's why you never see any decent killer main use it. You simply don't need it if you have more than 50iq. Legit any good killer would agree with me. I was a billy main for about a year and a half and I never saw the need to use the brainless perk. Just accept the fact that you are a dogshit killer and need a braindead perk to help you win? It's as simple as that

  • @Moundshroud said:

These kind of screeds always come from people with barely any posts, which would seem to indicate that they are new to the game and simply haven't learned enough yet to play against whatever it is they are complaining about. Are egos so fragile today that one simply can't admit that the failing might be personal? It has to be the game's fault, bad balance, broken perk, whatever? Grow up.

Also you legit joined the forum 15 days ago lmfao??? You must have been joking with that comment sheesh

    1. Nurse does better job and removing aspect of the game.
    2. So... noed rewards bad gameplay... hmm... DS, BT, Unbreakable, adrenaline... all of these perks can easily be used as a reward for a bad gameplay.
    3. Finding totems is impossible? Then why my devour hope lasts only in 1% of the matches...

First of all I cannot take you seriously when you can't even speak proper english. Also how does BT, Unbreakable and Adrenaline reward bad gameplay? You have the brain capacity of a snail. Only perk that somewhat rewards bad gameplay is DS and it's not even that crippling on the killer side imo. Also you see, survivors have much, much more time to find your devour compared to NOED and it's 1/5 chance that it's devour every time they find a totem. With NOED you must do all 5 of the totems to deactivate it.

Please think before posting something. Right now you just look like an idiot.

  • @rororoxor said:

You don't need to do all 5 totems to counter NOED, it's often easier to check if the killer has it first with one person, then search for the totem

I have made a post about noed before and it was just filled with comments of people saying "oh don't rush gens just do bones". After you have been hit with it yes, it's 1 totem but still it's a gamble. You have a 20% chance of it being the totem if nobody has done any totems and often there are like 2-3 totems done and the most hidden ones are left and they are incredibly hard to find. Pair that with the killer usually camping the totem with a survivor hooked nearby and it's just an awful time all around

This is horrible. 5 times in a row the round didn’t start because someone disconnected cause of my sacrifice.

    wait by daylight.

should be not so difficult. 5 ppl in the lobby, someone close the game cause he’s mad. So should the client that’s not in anymore get the penalty.

and I even don’t use mori, most time ppl quit because they map rage.

    thank u

    love

You try to make the game extremely unfun and pointless for the survivors, you deserve to wait lol. Stop god damn moris if you don't like people dcing on you.

As a killer main, I think looping is fine, it's always been a dynamic of the game. But I do think it should be adjusted like the windows had. Just like jumping through the window 3 times until it's blocked by the entity. Jumping a palette 3 times should automatically break the pallet. This breaks that boring back and forth over the palette move until killer gets bloodlust, and forces survivors into a new dynamic of decision making when looping a killer.

This is one of the dumbest things I've read on this forum so far lol. I don't think you have played enough to realize that you can break a pallet?

  • @GoodLookinCookin said:

Looping needs a replacement in the game of dead by daylight. It is boring to do and annoying to face and looks silly and cartoonish. I can't be the only one that thinks they should add a fun chase system that makes it easier for newer players to feel better and more confident in a chase instead of holding w.

I showed my friend dead by daylight the other day and he watched me loop a huntress and found it comical and laughed at the game and said it looks so bad but interesting. Kinda inspired me to make this forum, I already felt this way about loops but I have a feeling that its worse that what I think it really is. Looping really takes a chunk of the fear factor out of dbd which is supposed to be a horror game.

Don't like players looping you on pallets? Just play PH bro, makes pallets useless and the game just horrible for survivors.

  • @Sonzaishinai said:

They reworked Bubba and added a anti facecamp penalty to his power. And they just did the same with Billy. Only the ptb will determine how it plays like but honestly from what it looks like people are crying over nothing.

It seems to take longer then 10 seconds of reving before the chainsaw overheats. If you have to rev that long to mindgame a survivor your not doing a good job at it

Depending on how the addons will have changed, Billy may very well be getting a buff

I don't think you understand this, but cruvesawing with billy often requires more than 10 sec of revving. Yes, it will not change anything in the low-mid tier billy gameplay, but this update makes already in my opinion the hardest, most skillful technique even harder, which is just absurd.

  • @SwampDaddy said:

I'm not the best killer, I'll be honest. And knowing that, it's extremely frustrating when I'm constantly getting matched with a bunch of rank 1-4 survivors and I'm just a rank 14 killer. I personally think that is total bullshit. This needs to be fixed. Kind of hard to become a better player when you're just getting completely stomped on, and the last thing the player community needs is to develop a sense of superiority because of the imbalance. Please fix this.

You need to change your POV, I agree that the matchmaking can be stupid but hear me out.

When you go into gym and train with a heavier weight then go back to the old weight that you used to train with and you can instantly do many more reps with that weight.

Use that same logic in this game and you'll realize that by playing against good survivors you will advance as a killer faster, you just might not realize it.

If you still get ######### on then just watch otzdarvas videos they will greatly improve your skill lol, no joke.

  • The perk is already good as it is. No need to be salty because someone cleaned your devour hope once :)

  • @Yogerman1997 said:

for me the most balanced one is the demogorgon

and billy next to him is a GOD

so... i'm not surprissed this happens

Demogorgon is very underwhelming in red ranks. You need to play like an actual scumbag to 4k with him unless you are playing against russian claudette mains. Imo he is the 2nd worst killer behind clown

  • @Kai6864 said:

Okay, I don’t see many people talking about this so I’ll add my own opinion. We know there is going to be a universal buff to killers soon, in the form of a slowdown for survivors at the start of a trial to prevent gens getting done quicker at the start, and maps are getting smaller.

Billy is a powerful killer at the moment, he never needed old ruin and can demolish a team within the first minute of a match. If we were to add the start game slowdown to the game, he would be very overpowered along with Spirit and Freddy. Not to mention that maps are getting smaller so all killers can traverse maps quicker now.

If I remember correctly, they didn’t give Freddy his gen teleporting power at the start of the game because they didn’t want it to feel like he spawned next to them and found a survivor right away, yet that’s exactly what a good Hillbilly can do AND at the same time instadown them.

Lets at least wait until the PTB to start deciding on this mechanic though, yeah? I for one think it’s going to be great not having to be stuck around a car loop for 3 minutes while a Billy revs back and forth until I make a mistake.

Ok you see like every killer is powerful when you are good at playing that killer. (besides clown, he has nothing going for him). Nurse and spirit can also get across the map extremely fast and they are both (in my opinion) much easier to master (spirit taking nearly no skill to 4k with her consistently) so I just don't see why they needed to nerf billy, arguably one of the hardest killers to actually be extremely good at with still a lot of counterplay. In my opinion they should have just nerfed spirit, and left billy as he is.

  • @Respectfulnancymain said:

As a billy main im not disappointed

If you just use the chainsaw optimally you'll be fine

You are probs the one billy main that m1s at loops and only chainsaws when the survivor is in the open. The nerf completely ruins loop curving making it extremely hard to get the timing. Completely unneeded nerf. Why not nerf spirit instead? Not understanding the devs rn

  • @LapisInfernalis said:

At least I won't be trapped in a locker by a Billy/Bubba with 99% Chainsaw now.

    I hated that.

How do you even end up in that situation?

  • Just finished one of the last games I will play as a billy in rank 1 atleast.

    image.png

Scumbag SWFs are fun to play against with billy lol

  • @lazerlight said:

I just don't understand... PH can get a guaranteed hit, if he fakes the power he gets the M1, if he commits, he gets the punishment of the damned hit too... but Plague has a whole 2 second cooldown after swallowing, and her regular power doesn't even injure survivors... so what's up with that?

Either give PH a cooldown when cancelling the trails, or remove Plague's cooldown.

Unless there is a valid reason why this decision was made.

I agree that ph's power needs a cooldown. It basically makes pallets useless. Might aswell add a killer that removes pallets

  • @Traslogan said:

Serously, every time the Devs try to brush off the SWF issue, it's always about winrate. Because SWF don't win tons more than solo survivors, it's somehow fine.

It's clear devs do not play against SWF, or you would realize it's not about win-rate, it's about the loss of fun.

There is no fun in watching survivors ping-pong you between a generator because they are telling each other when you damage a gen and who is in a chase so that they can deny all gen regression.

There is no fun in watching survivors pre-emptively run away because someone on a hook is telling them who you go for even if you try a bait-and-switch from far away from the hook. As long as they have line of sight to you, everyone knows where you are.

There is no fun watching 4 people all know where you are because one person has Object of Obsession and is reporting all your mind-games around obstacles, telling everyone who you are going for, and if you go for the OoO, all four will gang up to deny you the chase.

There is no fun in watching people suddenly run out into the open on purpose because they've told their friends to come bodyblock and flashlight stun to completely reset your chase, especially in a time where survivors are so efficient they can do 3 gens in the first 30 second chase.

There is no fun watching survivors run back to pallets that you didn't break because somehow they are all aware of every pallet you didn't break yet, and thus punish you for it.

There is no fun watching SWF all bring decisive strike and abusing it by stacking it across multiple survivors during end game collapse because they know you won't be able to hook anybody at all.

There is no fun when the entire team knows there's no threat and they can strategically stack gens together because their designated chaser on their SWF party is busy with you, and they'll coordinate on where to lead you away so you never get near anyone doing a gen.

It's not about if we actually get a couple of kills. It's about whether or not the entire experience was fun at all.

You need to genuinely deal with SWF. Wait times for survivors are only getting longer with less and less killers. Every killer is just giving up and resorting to insidious-bubba-camping, and your entire system of punishing killers via rank is meaningless since anyone who wants to camp does not care about rank, and you have never come up with a proper in-game solution, not to mention a lack of killers is putting rank 1s with rank 14s and only making the killer situation worse.

Stop brushing this off based on the winrate stats. You've let the entire SWF community hide behind the statistics that <50% of games are SWF, but I bet if you showed us the percentages where the average player in a game is between ranks 1 and 10, the SWF percentage would skyrocket.

It isn't impossible to beat SWF, it simply is not fun in any shape or form. You need to actually begin having the discussion to deal with it.

You'd rather play against a bunch of solo queue clauds that hide in corners? How is that fun to you lmao? I personally would rather go against a good SWF and have an intense match. Also it's far more rewarding when you see them cry in the lobby after you 4k them.

All I can say is git gut son. In all seriousness I dont meet noed that often because I usually try to get all totems before I leave or just get out as soon as the gates are powered which is very easy to do if the killer camps. It takes 2 minutes to camp someone to death, and it takes 1 minute 20 seconds per gen for a solo survivor and you have three survivors, and it takes 20 seconds to open the exit gates. So it would take about 3 minutes to do all 5 gens and open the gate. Ofc this is without considering the time to travel between each gen and the gates and how long it takes for people to realise that the killer is camping so lets say 4-5 minutes. But at the same time. If it takes less than 2 minutes from the games start for the first person to get downed, then I think your survivor team has bigger problems than camping killers. What I am saying is, yes you are working against the clock. But at worst only 2 people should die. Its 90% of the time altruistic survivors that do this to themselves. They prefer to try to let the guy on the hook escape which usually gives the killer more hooks and rewards the killer for playing like that. Its stupid, its the killer playing on your emotion possibly without intending to, but its something that never works unless the survivors let it.

hahaha, you can't be serious. How are you gonna come at me when you can't even do basic 1st grade math? 1 minute and 20 sec per gen and 5 gens = 3 minutes? Please, if you're gonna argue then at least have an iq of 30.

  • @Reaver_Raziel said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1393549#Comment_1393549

I mean I dont really blame you for thinking that but I personally disagree. Yes tunneling and camping is easier than on most killers (maybe bubba is better at defending hooks and getting multiple downs), but the same way of playing the game still goes. Dont unhook people being camped. Do gens and leave. Sucks to be that one guy but dont reward the killer. And as someone said. Pop, bbq (2x blood points), and a lot of other hook perks does not work for ph either when he uses the cage. Personally I do think "We're Gonna Live Forevert" should work since its a perk that litterally does nothing gameplay wise.

But yes, leave your team mate to die. Play as if you were playing vs a facecamping bubba. If you cant remove him from the cage within 10 seconds of him getting there and you start hearing pyramid heads terror radius. Its time to let that guy die. His game is over but you should still have the time to get everyone else out.

Do gens and leave you say? More like do gens and get hit by NOED as it is an extremely balanced perk and clearly doesn't reward killers for camping and not defending generators

  • The killer is already extremely good, it basically renders pallets useless. I don't get why it needs a buff.

You could also be the dumbest person alive and still do fine with it just like the spirit.

  • @NateyBoi said:

you shouldn’t feel bad for the survivors, your only goal as a killer is to kill. NOED is fine in my opinion.
