His line attack is a bit too much downside compared to upside I agree..the rest of his kit is good enough as it is
-
No..no there isnt...funny thing is their reasons for their position arnt based on the real stats of the killer..half dont even know the details on how it works

If you drop it at a pallet and they LEAVE the pallet, it acts the exact same as a Freddy snare. You force them to leave the pallet. It's not silly to compare the two when they have the same result. The only time it doesn't have the same result is if people don't care about being tormented, but giving the killer that much of an advantage(no exhaustion reset, no BT, no DS, etc) is pretty darn bad, and you were complaining about people avoiding the torment, I just gave you an EASY way to get people tormented, or force them to be downed easily. There's no situation in which there's no advantage for PH in that situation, dunno why you moved the goal post.
I didn't move anything , but getting tormented isnt scary unless you make it..if your avoiding it to the point of killing yourself your just playing too cautious and giving the killer a free hand..I can go entire games without torment and even when I do I usually keep the chase going plenty , the killer is 1v4..hes supposed to be way more than any one player can handle alone..heck he still needs tweaks to his line..its too slow for all its drawbacks..but yes the cages deny ds..oh well..learn from it..if ds is what makes you win them it just shows how bloated the perk really is..because hard tunneling doesnt win high level games

True... but it's just too much....
No it really isnt..especially when the skill checks and such are mostly gimmicks and are only useful sometimes..static blast is his map pressure tool, his shocks his chase tool..which do require proper timing to get the most use from, trust me..doc was my first killer i ever played..and I've faced him dozens of times..he is exactly where killers need to be on power..now he has a lot of gimmicks because hes all about chaos do it fits him , not every viable killer will be like him..but the bones of his strength are what are needed
-
It's a 1v4..killers need tools to fight 4 players at once..plus swf needs to ge taken into account..

How exactly does he lose distance? Sure he is slower but can still go faster than survivors. I'm pretty sure it is a bug.
But he cant turn effeciantly and has a wider hit box so hes already got less wall hugging ability , those make a difference

It doesn't matter how telegraphed it is or how narrow the area is. The fact that when a survivor is running towards a pallet/window all the killer has to do is slam his sword into the ground and the pallet/window is unsafe for the survivor. The only thing a survivor can do to is waste time by running around the area, which still doesn't matter as he loses no distance at all when uses his ability. This makes it only a matter of time before you get hit, which will only be roughly a couple of seconds. Other than that his ability to cage people is pretty decent where it's at. Also his map pressure is a little weak in the early game, but quickly snowballs through mid to late game.
He does lose distance so that is very false , windows may not be uber safe vs him but huntress and death slinger are even less safe because they have better control, as for pallets..supposedly vaulting pallets makes you immune to potd, assuming it's a bug but regardless it's there

With huntress you have and indication of when she is going to throw a hatchet at you. You don't have the same indication when it comes to pyramid head. One power blends into the other one.
It's still a warning and he has a dragging sound and the projectile highlights where it's going before it gets there..so he has even more tell than huntress
-

He has the strongest "projectile attack" in the game. It can go through anything and he can chain it with his regular attack extremely quickly. There is also very little time to react to his projectile and it ha a wide radius. Compare this to somebody like huntress. She has an audio queue when she is fully wound up, she is very weak at some loops but very strong in the open or around hooks, and her speed is slowed when she winds up. She is very balanced as a range killer.
So you think Pyramid heads ranged power is too weak? LOL
Yes I do..because going through walls is nothing if it's too slow to hit..and the attack itself is very narrow so..not sure what you think your seeing but the reality is very different..its the slowest projectile in dbd..has just as long a windup overall as huntress at least and can most certainly not chain attacks together after firing..theres a long cd after a shot..in essence..you dont seem to know how the power works..I take it you've never been at the controls yourself

Drop it at the pallet, they can't loop the pallet or they're tormented. He's basically Freddy at that point with only A THIRD of his power. If they do loop the pallet, you get them with your cage, if they don't, you get them down regardless if they're injured, if not, you take half their health.
As for the initial sword plant, that's 1 second. Not a big deal to travel less than a Survivor speed for 1 second. You're still faster than a survivor at every other point.
That has a much bigger result than you think, especially with what I said afterwards to compound it..and getting tormented is in no way as strong as a freddy snare in chase..that's silly..and being tormented doesnt do squat unless your downed...see your not adding it all together..you just see what can happen but dont think about what will happen

Bruh it's widely agreed upon that nurse is THE best killer in the game. Sorry you have trouble seeing that. I don't really care to change your mind lmao
It's not widely agreed it is just assumed with no data to back it..that's my point

You watch a stream from any nurse player and it becomes abundantly obvious she's a top tier. They'll stomp game after game
Scott June won 50 games in a row with speed limiter bubba..many survivor mains are severely boosted...that proves nothing at all
-
I mean..you've never really played her and admit to that..so honestly how would you know? A few hand picked yt games..?

I mean no, but isn't the point of the forums is to give your opinion, and it just so happens that I think most old nurse players were just boosted.
Sure..but not just the boosted ones left , and nurse has a minimal success rate across the board...

but the chase time against a good nurse is insanely low. Her exhaustion state isn't bad at all
Riiight...against survivors who dont know her maybe

Um no i'm pretty sure the nurse is still as strong as she was before. The only difference is that you get punished for messing up.
I've been using as of lately and the whole "not fun" thing is simply because they are trash at nurse. Like I have a blast when I do well but feel like crap when do bad.
Ok..I suppose your pov is the only one then hm?

Bruh I don't fw nurse. I leveled her in the background for her perks. Just like I don't play spirit. She's very powerful. She completely counters looping and can traverse the map insanely fast applying tons of pressure. She just takes a lot of skill.
Well dont say shes the best when most nurse mains quit playing her without evidence...those of is who are left have a miserable time because shes just free incrimints of five seconds worth of gen time every time she moves
-
@Kolonite said:

Just because you lack the patience and skill to learn her doesn't mean she's terrible. A good nurse outclasses every killer in the game
Prove it then
-
Actually the initial sword plant does the slow I mentioned and the miss animation is at least 3 seconds..quite a big one , and it's a simple matter to bait him to fire or fake running from the pallet with reverse pallet vaccum, and when I say inconsistant I mean torment is by no means garunteed , so then what? Half his power isnt in play at that point..I've been on both sides of this killer constantly since his release..its harder than it looks
-
@Atrushan88 said:

If they're locked in place it can't be that hard to miss. I'm waiting on the bundle before I buy him, but his ability to save time from hooks and remove all hook based resets is strong enough on it's own. As for the slowing himself down, oh, he loses .2 movement speed for one or two seconds, that's such a HUGE loss. Be real.
Actually you should do a little research, the firing speed and fire delay make it surprisingly strict to shoot animation locked players..if you dont pre fire it they can at least dead hard away..and missing slows you hard, initiating his power slows him to about 96 percent for a second,/ removes his ability to strafe and slows his turning , all while at 110 speed..a tad much for an ability that highlights where it fires and is that easily dodgable, the cages arnt consistent and not enough to carry him
-
@Atrushan88 said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1368995#Comment_1368995
Except he can fake using it as you're running to a window to vault it and then hit you with his sword, do it while you're locked in an animation LIKE VAULTING A WINDOW(or dropping a pallet), and it can go through solid objects. Being a little more difficult to hit than a Huntress Hatchet should be expected.
Not when the controls are already limited and the wind up is substantial, and when he fales theres a lockout and to fake he slows himself so it's still a risk against good players
-
They arnt garunteed..he has possibly the weakest projectile attack in dbd..it can be dodged on reaction and dead harded with ease..if anything it needs improvement as it's a bit too easy
-
Yeah..maybe because this isnt a 2v1 game and survivor needs some thought for a change..not a lot but some
-
This is frankly absurd..just saying the game shouldnt be balanced around swf made me lose all sense of this coming from a fair pov..a status that does nothing till used is about strategy as using it too early can result in another loop with no way to make up for it..the line attack itself is very easy to dodge and his status effect has only 1 real use..I'm sorry but this is not at all objective..this is straight up bias

Some of her traps don't work at all. For example traps in the shack can;t be triggered. I have peope running over it multiple times and nothing happened. I was very confused. And being looped as Hag in shack is a nightmare if you can't use a trap there.
Just another bug for the pile..jesus man these bugs are game breaking what the hell

Imagine a world where you’re not only trying to play around getting downed but every killer has an alternative way to murder you as well. That is a pretty complex idea but the ramifications for the overall satisfaction of performing a Mori would be huge. Further to that, survivors learning and playing against every different killers Mori condition sounds like it could be very rewarding. It would be challenging to add to the game for sure, but it could be absolutely incredible.
I think so too..plus nothing makes you feel more like a killer than using a stylized finisher, to show the killer played well and earned it without swaying the game in any unfair way
-
My idea was to use pyramids final judgement concept..what if moris got put into base BUT..just like ph they have a requirement involving death hook ..say your playing the spirit..let's say her requirement is ..6 out of phase hits , once completed she puts the survivors into the DOOMED state, each killer would have a requirement to follow for this..one that rewards good power usage instead of just being given , and would keep moris relevant to the game in a more fun and enjoyable way , then the offerings could gave large bp bonuses for successfully killing survivors in this manor ,/ kill two birds with one stone..as icing on the cake itll give killers a way to combat EGC DS, and if you wanted to sweeten the deal just add cypress mori to base..god only knows why they havent already
-
@KerJuice said:
Ehhhh gonna have to agree with OP on this one- M&A on Deathslinger is too strong. His TR needs to be widened since he has a long range game. I imagine this is why you can hear Huntress hum from afar, so if you get sniped- you have no excuse.
Huntress has infinite range insta damage..huge difference...
-
All lunges are the same hag is just very small using a claw hand to attack so her model has to go farther to make the lunge accurate
-
The issue is his line attack has a heavy miss penalty but is extremely telegraphed and hard to hit if the survivor knows what to look for, plus the cages while helpful have a hard time seeing proper use against good teams because you dont have the time to try and force it
-
If hook perks end up working on cages he will need a significant upgrade to compensate for it
-
There can be no exceptions

Have you played dbd recently? Tell me you didn't see anyone suicide on hook in the first minutes of the game. As a killer this is a plus, as a survivor I am stuck for the next 10 minutes in a game that at best may lead to one person getting hatch. If frustration doesn't explain what makes ppl quit i don't know what does.
People need to suck it up..they arnt special

Can you elaborate why? may games with ranking system have bans, and many even expanded bans with rooster growth...
Because then you'll never get a game..because dodging would be through the roof, and killers would stop playing because the only good killers would be banned and new "op" killers would never get to be played..on top of that you can make a loadout and ban its counters..no..just..no..it has 0 place in dbd
-
Not a chance man..that would be rediculous

Read my post again, I said that the timer resets if you get a skill check. It's not a bonus skill check if you already got several, it's a failsafe in case you get unlucky and don't get any. This change only guarantees one skill check per heal, the others you still rely on RNG.
Also, have you tried playing with Autodidact? You get on average about 2 skill checks per heal so you would need about three heals to get the full effect. There's no way you could get all the stacks instantly as you claim. It works on demand yes but you need to build it up and it actively harms you in the early game. And you know what other perk counters slow heal perks? We'll Make It.
All I'm suggesting is to make the perk consistent. This change would help you if you were unlucky and does nothing if you're lucky. Imagine if Pop Goes the Weasel just didn't activate at random hooks people would be upset, so why do we leave Autodidact in a similar state.
The difference is pop isnt a potentially dangerous perk..autodidact is..that was my point , once again rng is the perks downfall but it can still be influenced
-
@Cancan71 said:

Let's compare Autodidact to We'll Make It. We'll Make It has an easier condition, is active for a long time and has no penalty attached to it. Autodidact requires five skill checks, which is easier said than done, only reaches full power late into the match and punishes you for your first two skill checks. Even if you do get 5 stacks Autodidact saves 8 seconds, which is the same as We'll Make It. My change doesn't even buff it a lot, all it does is make sure that you can use the perk's full power and not get cheated out of it just because of RNG. And before you say it, you can't combine Autodidact and We'll Make It because Autodidact works best if the heal is long, which We'll Make It does the opposite.
Even with the change above, how could you say that Autodidact is a stronger perk than We'll Make It? If Autodidact is weaker than We'll Make It, then it not overpowered.
1, itll work on demand , 2 itll be slowed almost none by anti heal which makes it even more powerful than we'll make it in that regard, plus this perk could easily stack faster through rng and running spine chill for extra skill checks , all you've done is make a garuntee. It could always get more..so in theory it could stack up nearly instantly and basically provide near insta heals all game..doesnt sound like a perk I'd enjoy facing ngl
-
If the cages counted as hooks they would need to give ph something big in return..no perk should be as absolute as ds and bt are
-
Autodidact is a dangerous perk..consistancy could make it way too powerful
-
They mentioned hook perks..not moris..so..idk what to tell ya

i read that earlier while looking up calm spirit. i had no idea. I heard you can just run through the illusion to make it go away?
I texted my friend and told him that too. No wonder i would go hide in a corner and he'd find me anyways. Ugh.
So remember guys i'm not a pro so i''m sure many here dont' see a problem. But lets assume that many playing aren't pros.
So the fun is being sucked out of a match if the killer can find everyone with his power. track you with his power. make fixing generators extremely hard. makes you scream in madness every couple seconds unless you take care of that.
you can see how being matched up with different skill levels mean it's going to be a **** show match. No fun at all.
That will happen no matter what game you play..but that's why you dont balance around low ranks..dbd nearly collapsed from it, and actually yes the illusions help but every time you tier up your aura is revealed ,/ funny enough though most doctors dont use it

No problem then i deserve to get caught.
It's mostly for doctor noobs and spammers. They usually depend on that power so much that i bet that once i lose them and they try to find me with the power and can't they will get frustrated and just walk away. They seem to rely on the power so much that they are not developing good habits.
A lot of bad doctors spam the power on cd..helps at lower ranks but a wasted static blast is a lot of possible pressure gone , not to mention wasted firing time..same with shock spamming..timing is key, also beware the restraint addons..they're my fave and they shut down calm spirit a little
-
Just let me control my aim a bit better and he may just he ok..that or make the line attack a bit faster..with how narrow and punishing it is on top slow clunky controls , seems wrong I can throw a pallet and still dead hard before the attack goes through when I made the bad read
-
If doc causes trouble go for it..but be warned..it will fail against my doctor..because I've put many hours into my boy herman over 2 years..and I learned the best ways to deal with that perk X3
-
More proof that ds and bt have replaced skill for many players..its honestly disheartening

When I look at the average number of kills for Legion, it's right in the middle. They're not the best, they're not the worst. This is across all maps, all ranks. That's as much detail as I can go into on this.
Yeah...but that's with ranks being tossed in a blender..good players mixed with bad..which means lower average survivor stats than normal..
