I like to play this game casually.
For me, I usually play survive with friends. It's all about enjoying my time with my friends! Maybe switch things up, play different characters, perk combinations, maps, etc.
As killer, I do experience some frustration when I am not doing well. For that, I try to play killers that I find FUN over my best kill-rate. That may be my style personally, as I like varied experiences and "thematic stories" if you will. Switching up the addons and perks and maps can also help for me personally. I have been having so much fun playing Onroyo because I love crawling out of TVs at people!

I find the setup killers like trapper and hag very challenging for me! My brain is just in the moment, so it is hard for me to think "ahead" like that.
I also wish I were better at blight! I think his design is so cool, and he zooms everywhere! Having trouble getting him to zoom where I want. :) I think more practice will help!

Depth is no longer being supported by updates or the devs anymore. Game is dead except for a few dozen people.
Well, that's a bummer! Thanks for letting me know. Hopefully I can still play a killer duo on Identity V when the mood strikes!

I absolutely love vroom vroom killers!
Hillbilly will always be my ride or die. But i also have tons of fun with Onroyo, Nemesis, Spirit. I also have a lot of fun with ranged killers! Huntress, Trickster.
I know Blight is right up my alley if I can get him to bounce where I want him! I might have to turn down my sensittivity!
The setup killers are the real tough ones for me, because my mind is zooming all around and I don't have the patience to set things up! I just want to GO!

I'm usually early morning or early evening. I will say, my games have been slightly better today as killer. There still seems to be at least 1 or 2 very skilled survivors per game, but I can reliably get 2 kills now. I'm hoping to get back to my 3k average sooner or later 😅
You've got this! I think you'll need some time to sort out what works for you in the current state of the game. As others mentioned, metas have shifted, there are new perks and killers, etc. you will find your groove again! And hopefully even have fun experimenting with what the game offers now.

I love the 50's aesthetic! The rockabilly collection is my fave. I even bought a shirt to look like Jane's rockabilly outfit!

This game looks very fun! Totally within my wheelhouse, and Evil Dead is such a fun franchise. I don't mind it being on epic, though I can understand if people prefer to play on steam only! I will definitely keep an eye on this one. I like that you can play as good or evil, and I am looking forward to seeing more about how the game plays!

I love that no mither is a perk! I really appreciate when perks give players a variety of playstyles, niche as they can be. It is really refreshing to have people playing with a different challenge. It almost feels like a mini game mode. And that is good for the game, even if it doesn't feed into a current meta. Variety can increase enjoyment!

Dead by Daylight is my favorite game! I'd say it definitely is life. :)
Aside from DbD, I play a lot of Tabletop Simulator. It is so fun to play board games! I play a lot of horror board games on there, and my favorite is called Camp Grizzly. And of course I am getting the DbD board game!
One game that has a similar feel to DbD in some ways is Depth. I haven't played in a long time because the player base is quite small, but it is quite fun teaming up to be a shark duo with a friend and thrashing on some divers!
I have played a LOT of Dead by Daylight style games (asymmetric, usually horror). I also like Identivy V because of the art style and insane powers.
Outside that, I am working through Sherlock Holmes: The Devil's Daughter, as well as a game called Chicory, which is about recoloring the world after all color is wiped.

I definitely prefer playing characters I find the most fun over anything else.
For me, I love the feeling of playing Hillbilly, Nemesis, and Onroyo!

I also find Onroyo really fun to play, personally. I am loving the teleporting around the map, and it plays out differently for me than a lot of other characters. I've seen her compared to Freddy due to his gen spawn mechanic, but the condemned adds something to that.
I do appreciate what OP is saying about the current meta, but I kind of appreciate trying a different playstyle with her.

Rank rewards could relate to the new cosmetics—gifts of cells or shards!

This was my idea as well. Totems were added as a secondary objective. NOED does help give a reason to cleanse them anyway, but the odds are still pretty low of someone running NOED. Alternatively, lighting ALL totems if a hex is active can make this objective a bit more challenging and engaging (sort of like the pig’s boxes), but lighting all would reveal earlier that a hex is live.

I vote The Game as well. The disorientation of sounds being heard between the two floors can make this map really dizzying. Plus, the different rooms are creepy, in a good way.

The point of legacy is that it remains exclusive, so that would defeat the purpose and the promise ;p
I do wish there were a way for users who lost their legacy to verify that they had it, though, and get it back.
Or have a recolor type event -
