I only play on pc during ptbs so i can't say. I see survivors using head on a lot more on pc streams going for stuns.
Thats the only pc/console difference i've noticed. I never see head on users on ps4
i think that is probably because 90% of the time, killer doesn't get stunned with head on, i hardly get it to work on ps4
-
can someone tell me what is best to be used with the scratched mirror? when i saw this post i thought you were gonna be talking about me, thankfuly not. i used faster stalking speed and not realizing how pethetic my lunge would be. he literally waves the knife just past his chest, like he has arms of a t-rex, lol

Very weird.
On PS4 i see nothing interesting from survivors anymore just gens 24/7 and maybe pallet blinds.
Survivors used to body block/sabo/go for flashlight saves and so on but not anymore just do the gens and get out no attempt at cool plays.
is it the same for other platforms?
-
i'm not sure if they will. from a survivors point of view it can be really funny when you manage to do infront of killer and then survivor escapes. i have managed to do it a few times but as you said time consuming. sabataging 3 hooks near exit to 95% is fun too, especially when they are running noed.
from a killers point of view (especially me as killer), it makes the game too hard.
i don't know what sabatage was like before or when it got changed, but i've been playing for years now.
i hope they will bring it back where somehow it doesn't hurt killer too much.

Lemme know how it goes, again it needs to be literally right on-top of them not like lagging behind a fair bit or almost on top of them...
It needs to be literally RIGHT behind them with no room to spare.
yep, it works now, whether it was like that before. feel abit stupid now. thanks guys

You press the M1 in Tier lll with the tombstone piece added to mori them yes. You do this while they're standing in the injured or healthy state and you do it literally right next to them like right on top of them... than the prompt comes up that literally says "Kill" on it to use your basic attack in Tier lll to kill them (Again, tapping the button not holding it down)
M1, R2, whatever the basic attack is (Not his power which is the stalking mechanic)
i'l give it another go, maybe i was tad too far from them? thanks for your answer!

Survivor must be standing. Are you holding the hit button? You just have to tap it.
they are standing at the time, it just slashes them, no kill?

So... did I fix your issue... cause now i'm confused lol.
If so, you're... welcome?
rofl... i'm a bit confused now... hahaha
basically i was on tier 3, pressed the hit button and it never kills survivor, which made me forget that he holds survivor by the neck and stabs them. they drop on floor which made me think it was used as a mori (my mistake).
to make tombstone piece work all you have to do is press the hit button or am i wrong? cos it ain't working for me.
-
@FireHazard said:

To pick up? So you down them and than you attempt to use the tombstone to mori them?
Because... it doesn't work when they're downed, it only lets you mori them when they're either healthy or injured and you do it RIGHT next to them by tapping your basic attack in Tier lll.
yes you are right and thanks for reminding me. the thing is i press the hit button and they are not killed, i forgot it did that, which made me think it was used like a mori.
-
@FireHazard said:
In the mean time @bomb1720 while we wait for those two, were you in Tier lll those 3 separate times? And did you tap the M1 or to your equivalent on console the R2 button to use your basic attack?
It's not a lunge so you don't hold it down, you just tap it for a basic attack. Or is R2 the stalk button? (Aka the Killers power button)
yeah, i definitely was in tier 3, lol, stupid of me to ask if i wasn't. prety sure it's suposed to be r2 button for ps4, but what ever button it is, never gave me option, just to pick up. π

It could've just been bugged for that specific match. I can't exactly say if its bugged in-general until you try it out again or something.
Maybe @GrootDude or @Boosted_Dwight knows a bit more on if the console version of tombstone is bugged in-general. Otherwise I think it was a one off thing.
it was in 3 seperate games one after the other. i'l try and get in touch with who you mentioned, thanks

Can killers see auras of survivors at the start of the game or something? Every day for the past two weeks, Iβve always been the first survivor found within 20 seconds of the game starting and I havenβt even moved yet!
does anyone have any strategies on how to make sure I donβt get seen first? Cause my team always loses when Iβm the first one to die π
this happened to me for months and months, no matter what you do, go to nearest gen, go and hide, get caught. this was not because i was new to the game either, i was an experienced player. what i notice is, my games will go through phases. it will go from a bunch of getting caught first, then to a bunch of campers, then to tunnelers, then to survivors refusing to heal meal me (not the bug) and pointing at me on the hook before they rescued me, then a bunch of where i +2pips in game. then at some point go back to one of the things i mentioned.
at one point i even thought do we even play live with other people, or are they programed robots?
hopefully now you have mentioned it the problem will go, just like sometimes when you feel ill and sit in doctors room, suddenly feel a lot better, lol

You obviously don't know what you're saying.
When survivor dc, no matter how many times you hook survivor, you can't pip as killer.
but for survivors, provided you're not a potato and loop the killer for 1min+ in total, do some gens and save 2people, that's a pip already.
So it is a 0 pip / depip VS a chance to pip
and you say "it doesn't punish the killer as much as suvivor", play more games before you say that please.
when a survivor dc in the beginning, then once a killer gets somebody else on hook, more than likely killer will get the upper hand.

"damn I got found first, go down in 10 sec, let me dc"
its not my fault, killer must be playing in an unfun manner π‘
i went through a phase where i always got found first, hours of play a day for months. never changed game play before or after, yes it was annoying but i never dc.

Here's the problem:
Survivors lose out on teamwork, but can still grind out a lotta BPs.
Killer loses out on Hunter BP, Sacrifice BP, a good amount of Brutality and Deviousness too depending on the Killer.
That's not mentioning the fact that often times, if one survivor DCs, multiple survivors will start DCing.
i have seen it where killers still get more bp than survivors, some cases can hurt the survivors more.
-
@Mr_K said:
Because the killer was playing in an unfun manner to which the survivor's only option was to leave the match in distress.

yes in most cases but sometimes survivors do it for know reason, one after the other.

Prestige survivor:
P1 = Bloody torso cosmetic "default skin"
P2 = Bloody pants cosmetic "default skin"
P3 = Bloody face/head cosmetic "default skin"
Prestige Killer:
P1 = Bloody weapon "default skin"
P2 = Well it gets weird here as its not always the same. Sometimes its Mask/head other times its lower/upper torso. It seems killer dependent unlike survivor.
P3 = Whatever you didn't get from P2
When you prestige a survivor or killer you instantly return to "Level 1" on that character, loose all you perks/add-ons/items/offering (aside from the 3 character specific perks) and start at Bloodwed level 1.
In my opinion unless you really like the bloody cosmetic or want to get the achievement for getting P3 lvl 50 it is NOT worth doing. Sadly as more and more perks are added into the game it becomes a bigger burden to get the perks you want on your newly prestige character making the grind much longer.
TLDR: Prestige 1 character to P3 lvl 50 for achievements then never do it again...EVER.
just out out of interest do you get any more skins for after p3? sorry i didn't see your post before i commented, said the same thing, lol
-
@ColonGlock said:
@Starbricks19 I have over 1700 hours and never prestiged. I rather keep the perks I earned. The grind is hard enough without that and you will need many millions just to get all perks all killers. So far I have earned almost 190 million bloodpoints and spent them all without prestige.
yes i'm in two minds whether to prestige cos more than likely you won't get the perks you want and, the more charactors you have opened, the longer it takes! takes avery long time.

@Centrum said:

The Pig or Amanda.
But yeah; everyone has a Killer they don't like, and if the Devs give them a 'free' (IE: No punishment) way to flee a game, they will do it.
First-hook suicides need to be punished just like disconnecting.
yes i agree about first hooks. but if you were the remaining survivor do you expect the killer to turn friendly (farm)?
-
@Centrum said:
While I like the idea of DCers being banned and punished, we have to admit that it will do NOTHING.
People on this forum already freely admit that they suicide on first hook to get arund DC punishments.
It's 30 seconds longer for the same result; a screwed-over Survivor team & a Killer cheated out of BP.
And they will never be punished for it, because it's not DCing.
The devs need to do something about first-hook suicides, since it's the same thing as disconnecting while using a technicality to avoid punishment.
But until the Devs do; expect to see an upsurge in scrubs just hook-suiciding when Killers play Spirit, Nurse, or Doctor, or use a loadout Survivors don't approve of.
iv'e also had people dc not just with those killers, iv'e had it freddy and even trapper. probably everybody except for legion and, sorry my mind has gone blank can't remember the name for the saw pig.
yesteday one by one through out the game everybody d'c and then the hatch suddenly opened for me, then the killer dc too. totally crazy!
-
@Mandy said:
People do get banned for DC'ing - once they reach the threshold for DC'ing, they receive a ban.
what is the threshold? i am a very good survivor and due to dc'ing, camping and tunneling, i have actually depipped 6 times in row very recently in the purple rank. : (

@GarebearΒ another good idea.

not understanding what a black lock was. i took a key with milky glass with blood amber. in game go to a fiery skull cos when that gets broke you see a black circle, end game lost key and i was like, why, why? now that is very dumb lol

It's good if you know the proper time to use it. Problem is there are so many baby survivors that constantly use it to heal instead of working on gens.
we were all babies at some stage and didn't we all take self care? you saying you didn't? if that was taken away i don't think that would be fair. it's good for people getting used to game, others they get used to having a free space for another perk+medikit!

thanks for your reply, i should have remmebered that. i've used that perk a couple times before and i was constantly bobbing up and down. they never let me get it for them. they think i want it for myself. i am not that desperate, hahaha
-
the idea of being sneaky in a game and then getting chased by killers sounded really good to me.
-
agree with 12 of your rules. so wanted to say this myself but couldn't be botherd. no 13 rule i admit i have done this a few times but that is only cos a) i have been running from far to rescue and then suddenly killer is chasing me when near and i have no where else to go, so i pretend to unhook, or if i get swiped infront of hooked then i'l quickly rescue and my life. b) nobody is able to rescue, camping killer, running out of time, killer can't see me, try unhook.

Thou shall spread out before working on a gen if everyone spawns together.
Thou shall not run away from the one who unhooks you, for he's trying to heal your hurt ass.
Thou shall not self heal when a teammate is around.
Thou shall let the person crounching like crazy behind you open the chest you started to loot. They have stuff to open chests.
Thou shall never ask to open chests if thou doesn't have stuff to open chests
you can open chest without anything. what stuff do you mean?
-
it mostly happens when killer keeps getting everybody so dam quickly. so all you get chance to do is rescue heal chase on and on. which is anoying sometimes and boring. it just gets to a point where " nope i'm not gonna go again, surely there must be somebody closer than me" maybe killer is near by at least two but they are creeping away not to be seen.

Thats always an issue with skins and there is always a risk of having some players not being able to play in the time of the event at all. Taking time of work is a choice and events are generally set up so you can complete them and work at the same time which I have done with every event in the past.
An unforseen issue can pop up at anytime and if it's a game breaking bug or its simply not working most devs will work on it trying to fix it up until the last minute as postponing is always a last resort. It's not something any dev willingly wants to do but ######### happens and its something we all have to accept as it's better to be able to play an event that works than one which has issues.
i was agreeing with you, you know. completely agree if stuff needs to be fixed before release let it happen. don't release if it's going to get messed up. i was just saying a bit more notice would have been better.

Then we died to NoEd. =_=

-
also i got used to not taking self care and then my r2 button stopped working so i couldn't use medi kit. my perks at the time were borrowed time, the one where you can unhook faster with bp, for my team mates. for myself addrenilin and the one for the aura of hatch. completey hated having to take selfcare again. i do think though selfcare is a good perk for majarority until you can get to rank 4-6 and if you dare!

@Mochan said:

Sure, I understand not everyone bought Nancy.
But even if someone is hunting totems it's almost impossible he'll get them all before the Inner Strength user gets at least one. You bank one at the start of the game and you have an 8-second on-demand heal later in the game. If nobody was doing totems you may be able to do it again once or twice more.
I have never had problems using Inner Strength. The only exception I can think of is if I got found early and didn't get to cleanse at the start, and spent a lot of time on hook and in chase while someone else broke all the totems. Hasn't happened so far yet and I've been bringing Inner Strength in a lot of games.
Now if you want to argue Franklin's screws medkits. Well guess what? Sloppy Butcher screws Self Care. Worse than Franklin's I might add. And Sloppy Butcher is a lot more common than Franklin's (and they usually run Thanatophobia with it to boot). You know what else screws Self Care? Plague. Though to be fair Plague screws the entire healing mechanic, period.
Self Care is not a good bet. It's convenient on demand healing, but at the expense of pretty much losing the game if you don't understand how and when to use it.
i bought nancy and i managed to get at least 3 skulls in one game when it was crazy, that too was when st first came out.

Everyone always posts negatively when things get released with bugs or major problems and now people post negatively when they postpone a release as it's not ready.
Always remember they don't have to do any events or give us the opportunity to get skins for free but they are. We are not entitled to have anything so at least be grateful for the event happening at all.
It just seems the devs can't win. We have all at one point asked them to not release things if they aren't ready and when that happens people complain just as much.
yes this is very true but it works both ways. some people can't aford skins so once in a while freebies is good. but to keep employed people stay in game and purchasing stuff, than at least give more notice if issues need fixing. what ever the issue they must have, they must have known before they told us. not fair to people taking time of work and maybe like i have said before, we wouldn't take time of work if they given us a realistic amount of days to collect it all. MEH!

exactly, that is why i suggested on another post, making the event last for at least 21 days but a month would be better. not everybody can collect all the stuff in time for it's actual purpose.
