It is clear you're devolving. You can respond and have the last word now. Best of luck to you in the future :)

Says the guy that used a basic appeal to opinion fallacy to make his last post.

Suure budy. As I said, and EVERYONE with a brain have said, and EVERY that have faced or tested him have said, he is extremely weak, and is a straight downgrade to some other killers, so yeah "wait more empirical data" all you want, I'll be over there with the people that know how to put 2 and 2 together.

Cool story bro. I can also check other posts that subscribe to my current opinion about Trickster, right?

I'm not saying he doesn't need some tuning, I'm saying he needs a few weeks to establish a baseline, as it's woefully apparent that the PTB is not a statistically significant stress test.

How dare I be patient and rely on the emergence of more empirical data.

Oh, you mean the others "talk out of my ass without even trying to stay in touch with reality"? The ones that, just like you did, totally handwave basic facts?

Damn, I'll be sure to talk to my horse about thos gems of "opinions" alright.

(btw, you really should use big words like "empirical data" when you obviously cant take into account basic factual data first.

With this perk survs near the killer when he hooks someone won’t unhook. This with b&c will make unhooking so difficult I had seen many games in which the killer snowball to the 4k

From my experience its the exact opposite that happens.

Since the killer KNOWS that most survivor will GTFO from the hook because of his perk, he will tend to just walk away from said hook without even looking back because he doesn't expect anyone to be there anyway.

If you are smart and just HIDE instead of facerushing the hook, you wont have any problem to unhook.

As opposed to accepting the inverse, that the playerbases rampant egos are justified and that being proficient on one killer means you should automatically be proficient on another?

Yes. It takes nearly a whole month. And that's only for the people willing to really give Trickster a chance and learn his ins and outs. If, after that time, he's still dog tier, he will fall off the face of the earth and the devs will buff him because they'll see that statistic.

They will not buff him because an incredibly small subset of the player population chooses to be obnoxiously vocal on the forums, creating 200 threads that say the same thing.

    /facepam

Always painfully cringy when someone keep hammering a point they CLEARLY dont understand.

Just check the post right above your to discover why he is bad instead of making wild guesses.

The guy isn't complex in the SLIGHTEST, there's no 2000IQ plan here. He is very simple and poorly designed.

  • Oh right.

I think since BHV doesnt know how to properly convey patch notes to players (like... yaknow, having perks be hilighted in your build with a special tootips telling you it just got changed) a LOT of survivor will start posting "bug report" and "hack report" about how their DS didn't activate when it should have.

wow such a good idea to run agi with starstruck when they're notified that they're exposed so they'll just run away before they get close enough for it to matter. and then keep away the next time you pick someone up.

    Wooosh.

But yeah, what exactly do you think the point of starstruck is?

Let me tell you what it is : It's just another of thos perks that could surprise survivors once, and then will jsut force them to play slightly differently than they use to.

Just like Mad Grit or Light Born will surprise the survivors ONCE because they just know what to do to avoid it forever, Starstruck will simply tell the players that they must either GTFO when someone is down, and just start hiding, and that's it.

You aren't REALLY supposed to have enough time to start chasing people that got expose, hell, you dont even KNOW if someone got exposed.

In a way, Agitation is the perfect synergy for it, it will help you tag more people with the exposed statues, which will either force the survivors to either get further or hide, and it will let you reach the hook faster which would let you potentially capitalize a bit more on the cases where you know someone is close to you when you pick up the body to let you chase them faster.

I'm not saying its good, as I said I think the perk is mediocre at best (in the sens that it will just require a small adjustement from the survivors and will stop them from playing badly (ie faceunhooking ), but it doesnt change the fact that Agitation is the best synergy you can give to Starstruck.

Yea but to prevent that change buffing ruin it should only take the 5-10 seconds to stop regression but you still make progress on the gen during that time which means no gen tapping but no ruin buff by removing 5-10 seconds of progress per time you get back on a a gen

Well, sure, the idea isnt to make the 5-10 seconds not count toward the gen progression, durring that time you'll make it progress normaly, but you'll need to keep at it for that amount of time for it to get out of the "regression state".

Also, Ruin doesn't count as kick, never had, so that wouldn't happly here since, yaknow, the point of Ruin is to have gens regress without you having to kick them or have survivors tap them to stop it.

  • What clued you in? The perks or the fact that there was 5 of them to archive a very mediocre result?

In a week's time if people haven't unlocked some golden god strat that 4k's every game or even something that makes him decent, what are you gonna say? If in a week's time and you still have the opinion that he isn't bad, I want to see some red rank gameplay.

The people who say "give it a week" clearly don't know how this game works.

Here's a simple thing about the trickster : He is, for all intent and purpose, and downgraded version on EVERY aspect to Plague, one of the most "middle tier" (and I'm generous here) killer in the game.

    • He is slower
    • He is shorter (which is important when you try to throw stuff at people over loops)
    • He as ammo that he needs to replenish at lockers
    • He hitting someone with a blade does NOTHING unless you commit to the chase and managed to do it 7 more times where a single drop of puke will be enough to contaminate a survivor for good.
    • People with a blade metter will quickly lose it over time where someone contamintaed will get sicker and sicker until they got fully contaminated
    • The contamination get you into wounded state where you cannot heal and will spread it to others via any cooperative actions while blades don't do anything
    • his blades it w, his "ultimate state" (main event) will not only automatically activate but is also significantly weaker than Plague's
    • Its way easier to zigzag trough a blade barrage than a puke wave (and failing to do so is as previously explained well less punishing)
    • When he managed to max his blade meter on a survivor it will give them a speed boost like when getting hit by a M1, where managing to fully contaminate someone with plague doesnt do it, thus opening them to a quick M1.
    • Hiting someone with blades on them will remove a lot of them, where hitting someone with the plague wont do such thing
    • Someone hooked while contaminated guarantee you another free contamination where the Trickster don't have such ability
    • The plague can also contaminate object wich gives here a small but still noticeable ability to roam and protect gens where, once again, the Trickster cant.

So now, with ALL these downside compared to THE PLAGUE, a killer that nobody ever talk about, especially if its to say that she is too strong, how could the Trickster EVER be concidered "good"? Why ANYONE would need weeks of practice to read that obvious writing on the wall?

  • It's pretty clear at this point that BVH has a very rigid development structure that is most likely that way due to some out of touch higher ups that thing they know best despite having some pretty clear lack of common sens and knowledge required to design a proper killer.

And this rigid structure has decided that PTB will only be used as preview for the players and maybe (but I doubt it) as early spot for bugs that will be patched post release (not before, but AFTER release).

It's sadly a trend that is getting more and more common in the video game industry.

THey still do PTB, because that's "how things are done", but they dont remember WHY its was done like that back in the day.

  • Nice strawman my dude (but hey, that's inline with the rest of your posts).

I never said your opinion was invalid because you watched him. I said it was invalid because IN YOUR OWN WORDS you are a "fan" or him.

Also, please, dont use "toxic" like that, it's pretty cringe.

  • If the devs needs random players feedback to realize how bad he is and how to fix him, then I'd say they need to quite their job and start working as farmer or something.

    But sure, let's go ahead.

First let's pinpoint what the "fantasy" of the killer is supposed to be.

I think it's pretty clear is to have the idea of a sadistic yet extremely skilled knife thrower.

Alright, now let's check what his current kit is about :

He has a very slow stance swap animation (the time it takes him to be ready to throw)

A very slow fire rate with a windup that requires him to keep firing for a couple of second before being effective

A strong recoil that makes his shots very random and unprecise

He doesn't have a corsair, which again, makes it pretty hard to hit people with your first throw, especially at distance

A noticeable fall off which bring up the same problem that the previous point

A slow travel time that makes his mid to long range effectiveness pretty low

A low impact effect overall, when you finally hit someone, it does very little and goes away very fast

A slow when he is in throw state that increase when you start throwing blades

When a survivor is wounded by the blades he gains a speed boost the same way than he would have when hit by a M1

A M1 will drastically reduce the blade meter on survivors

A ammo count that despite looking big at first seems to always be too small (highlighting how hard it is to actually hit people with it)

And a "Main Event" that activate itself automatically and make you slow to a crawl

A base speed lower than most killers

    A good lunge attack.

So, when you put all these points together, what do you get?

A killer that cannot do some quick poke to the survivors during chase because of how long it takes for him to get his blades out and how much it will slow is already low speed.

A killer that when using his skill end up throwing willy nilly blades everywhere with a very poor accuracy while being slow to a crawl, and a killer that unlike the plague cannot just chain his skill with a M1 to quickly get a take down on a healthy survivor.

I don't know about you, but I think this is the exact opposite of the lick and skilled image BVH is trying to give him.

So here's what I'll do, rather than just removing all the needless drawback he gets I would just retool him entirely, getting him away from the "spamotron" idea and bring him to a "precise and measured" killer.

First remove the swap stance time and remove all slow from it. Then remove his wind up and give his blade a cd (around 1.5s).

Give him a cross hair, drastically reduce the fall off of his blade and increase their speed.

Then reduce his ammo count to 20, and reduce the hit needed on survivors to 5.

Replace the automatic blade meter regression with an action needed by the survivor, like mending, that will remove the blades one by one and remove the blade meter reduction from M1 and the speedboost from a blade wound.

And last but not least, make him 115% speed with a normal terror radius.

The idea here is to make him a precise thrower that will be able to hit people precisely, wich even a change to do some long range hit, and be able to poke survivors around corners, windows or palettes, but he wont be able to spam blades as fast as he does now... until he use Main Event. He will also be able to get you high on blade and chain it with a M1 to create a 2 punch combo.

Main event would be an CTRL activated skill that will simply reload all his blades (no more inifnit blades) and give and double his throw speed. This will be a powerboost that he'll be able to use when needed to start snowballing.

Alternatively, something probably a bit more intersting that that Main Event would be to give him the ability to charge his blades to throw a couple of them at the same time (think Zenyata charge attack), this could lead to some interesting mindgames and burst.

An here you have it, a killer actually worth playing, with a strong identity that matches his flavor.

Is it possibly too strong? Sure, maybe, it will need some test, but I think this is the way to go. Get away from the spamy clown that randomly throw shap glass around and make him a more efficient ninjaesque killer.

  • @C3Tooth said:

You can tell which one is easier to hit the flower.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/TDUVAK0NG67R/image.png

Without recoil, the wave of blades will become a cross aim. Which makes killer can easily track the target for a fast down with minimum effort.

He needs buff, but remove recoil isnt an option.

    Wat?

His blades have a travel time and very long swap stance time and an insane slow fire rate with a speed windup.

EVERYTHING in his kit push him toward being a very spamy killer, yet the recoil make sure to have said spam be as weak and frankly obnoxious to use as possible.

Want to keep the recoil? Fine by me, then remove the swap stance and windup, make him be able to instantly throw his blade with a 0.75-1s CD and you'll have a way more thematically appropriate and fun player to play as that is focused on poking survivors with regular and very precise throw rather than a bafoon that is too slow to take advantage of short duration line of sight and needs to slow to a crawl and start spamming blades at random.

It makes him not only very obnoxious to play, but also makes him look like a total clown rather than a slick, efficient and skilled killer they seem to want him to be.

In my opinion, The Game, a huge open inside map, is the only indoor map that could exist in DBD, however, I understand wanting some variety, but these maps are crazy unfun for non-stealth killers. I once broke a headset on Larries when I used to play Nurse, lol. Just looking to start a dialogue.

Indoor maps are fine on paper. The problem is that some have clearly not be thought out with killers in mind, especially "rush" ones like Hillbilly or Blight, but not all of them are necesarly bad. The Hospital and Silent Hill map are actually well designed and will work well with these type of killers.

Drop 1 semi safe pallet and since you are faster than him you can break chase instantly and make all of your laceration. Why does he move slower than nurse while throwing knives. I feel every time I use his power survivors gain distance on me.

NGL, he made me DC once already because of how frustrating he was (and also because I had a very strong suspicion that I was facing cheaters that were in constant sprint burst).

The pallets are the worst with him, which sounds very counterintuitive since he is...yaknow, a ranged killer, until you realize that the time it takes him to get into the throw stance coupled with the very slow throwing speed that needs some windup to go reasonably fast means that you can at the very best get 1 or 2 daggers on each palettes, at the price of giving to the survivor so much time that you've basically reset the chase... a chase you'll have to restart with a 110% speed.

Its all around awful. I usually try to grind new killers even if they are buggy or bad, like the twins at release, but this is just way, WAY too frustrating and bad for me to want to continue.

  • @Dr_Loomis said:

Bloody hell I am glad this was my first ever non-purchase/unlock.

Then sad part is... they made sure to give him very strong perk to make you want to get him no matter what, and the stupidest part is that most of his own perks dont synergise well at all with his kit. His strongest perk, A Starstruck works based on terror radius... but his terror radius is smaller than the average killer.

  • @hardtimefun said:

Cause for sure I am not spending real money for the trash the twins are and even less for trickster, keep going and you'll lose even more money, make good content and you'll get money, that's how it works.

    Ho dude... you'd be surprised.

I'm actually conviced this chapter will make them a LOT of money and for a very stupid and sad reason : He looks fashionable (I wouldn't use "cool" here, just fashionable) and his skins are actually flashy and diverse enough that it makes you want to buy them (unlike most killers that have very bland recolors and mediocre epic ones).

And I think that was the whole point of that guy, getting a guy that will wear cool skins first... then maybe be good later.

  • The moment when even survivor mains complain that a killer isn't good enough, you know something went horribly wrong...

But yeah, he is extremely unfun to play as, he can't patrol really well, and is forced to commit into his chase otherwise his knifes would be totally wasted, which mean that you can just sit on a gen all game long without ever seeing him.

And when you do actually see him, you are either facing a 110% M1 killer which is laughably easy to loop or a poor soul that keep trying to hit you with his knifes one said loops, which is so ineffective that if actually makes you feel bad for the guy.

He has so many downsides that you dont even have any real "counter play" to do oustide of zigzaging a lil bit if he tries to hit you midrange on an open field... but that's it, on loop he litterally can't do anything outside of just slowly walking 10% faster than you and that's it....

  • @EvanSnowWolf said:

BHVR should make it so that tapping a generator procs a Skill Check to stop regression.

That's actually a good idea, having the survivor need to "fix" what the kick damaged.

That said, it would also imply that you have to stay on said generator for at least the duration of the skill check, which in itself is already a good step away from the 1 frame tapping, but still not nearly as long as it should.

Also its one of thos things that will be way more punitive to the low rank survivors than the high one that never ever miss a skill check.

Can we all pause for a moment and appreciate.. THERE'S GUN RECOIL ON THROWING KNIVES

The saddest part is that ALL that recoil is perfectly uneeded. Not when you have already a swap stance time window, a wind up, no crosshair, a travel time, a fall off and a ammo count.

This killer have SO MANY downsides it's just insane.

  • @TheBoneless said:

The trickster Is the worst killer ever. He Is slow and his power is not like the hatchet or the slinger rifle. The aim sucks and moves up by itself, very annoying. Carvers can be avoided in many ways, and in many situations it is a slower m1 killer than normal. You have to have ######### in your skull to release such crap.

I think not enough people point how needlessly bad the spread and kickback on thos throws are, and it's 100% intentional since it's the "tips" you get while loading against it make sure to hammer that fact home and tell you that you can easily dodge his shots, and let me tell you, it's really, REALLY easy to dodge them by zigzaging if you are a couple of meters away from him.

That's what he likes to repeat, but anyone that have watched any of his videos would know that's not the case, like at all.

Tru3 is a killer main, Otz too. Scott is a survivor main that will pretend he is a killer main to use it as a starting point for is constant whining about how killers are strong. His video "An Idea to Make Flashlights More Interactive" is the perfect exemple of survivor dishonesty since it's real title should have been "An idea to make flashlights way stronger".

    This^^^

Gen tapping is ok in my book, if survivors have to interact with it for the same 2-second animation as the killer took to regress it.

Wouldn't be "tapping" anymore wouldn't it?

And that's the point. 1frame from 1/4 survivor to cancel what the only killer have to do in a couple of seconds doesn't seem very balanced.

  • I wouldn't say it's "wrong" per say, but rather that it feels odd to have them pinpoint niches when a lot of horror mainstays aren't touched up yet...

  • @Lochnload_exe said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2063793#Comment_2063793

I personally don't think he is very niche, and he does fill another horror trope, the serial killer artist, who finds his killing as well as his profession the best in it's class. Same with Twins, it filled the body horror trope in horror, being a grotesque killer with a twin who climbs out of her body is a bloody mess, Every killer still has it's purpose and place in horror. The main complaints for this chapter seem to be the gameplay which is fully understandable and he really needs help, but his look and aesthetic is amazing, and the art department really nailed it for me.

That niche is already covered by Ghost Face tho. Sure he isn't extravert, but he is that "serial killer artist who think he is hot stuff" and the whole body horror thing was covered by the blight too.

And what you just did here is prove that yes, is has indeed a niche, and rather specific one at that.

Again, I'm not criticizing the look, just the fact that, once again, it's fairly niche.

  • I think survivors really over value the exposed status. 30 seconds is less than it takes for a killer to reach a survivor with a 5 second headstart.

The funny thing tbh is how bad it is on the Trickster itself, since its based on the terror radius and his is pretty small.

Just like mad grit it's one of thos flashy perk that have a psychological effect rather than a real one : it will stop survivors from swarming you when you carry a survivor. Is it good? In the sens that it will force the survivor to change the way they play, yes.

But once they have adapted, it's basically a dead perk.

Even in the very best case scenario, where you play like a Doc with Distressing and infectious fright, it's going to be tough to capitalize on that very short exposed status, since as previously stated, it's takes more than 30 seconds for a killer to reach a survivor with 5 seconds headstarts.

Basically, it will only work against cocky survivors that think they can unhook right infront of the killer, and thos people are generally bad at the game anyway.

Oh, and let's not forget : It's 100% useless in thos very common case where you have downed a survivor in a corner of the map (often because you got kitted there) far away from other survivors.

  • @JimboMason said:

For me, I would not call it the best chapter, it would have to go to the stranger things or silent hill dlc, but I'm glad you like it!

The Silent Hill one is definitely my pick too.

Not only the flavor is way more interesting (even if we ignore the whole brand recognition, on their own the map, survivor and killer look outstanding and play very well) but it's also a great nod to one of the most iconic horror video game out there.

I'm still waiting for the Resident Evil one tho. Racoon City police station would make for an amazing map, and there's a load of great characters to pick from as killers and survivors.

  • @Friendly_Blendette said:

Dont worry he is aLso slower than survivors when he takes out his knives and gets slowed down even more whne he actually throw them

YUP, and this what makes him so bad. Bad and INCREDIBLY unfun to play as. EVERY single short loops (yaknow the one that can be found by dozen on every tiles) means that you'll have to run around them, as a 110% until the survivor decides to go away.

EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM. Just dont even think using your skill, you are a 110% M1 killer there, nothing more.

Guess that means that persons garbage *sees you have a coup de grace icon* imma just... *stays 50 feet away*

Guess when I picked that icon ironically thinking it will trigger survivor mains I once again overestimated them.

    Anyway, this thread is embarrassing.

  • His speed is one of the main problem here.

A reduce speed implies that your skill will let you get the upper hand in loops, but his skill doesn't. Like, at all.

The game is about a couple of things for the killer : Patrolling, chasing (which basically means looping) and he is bad at both of thos things because of that speed, while not gaining any real advantage on the rest (ie chasing in straight line).

IF they really want to keep him at 110 they need to do 2 things :

    1) remove all slow when throwing knife

    2) remove the speed boost when survivors are wounded from a full meter.

This way he would be able to do what the plague does (but better) by covering survivor of projectile while chasing them to get them wounded, to then slap them with him M1, thus getting a 2 punch combo that will put down a survivor quickly.

But even with that, he still would be a subpar plague, they also need to fix his Main Event (first of all by fixing its byg) and make it a CTRL activable action rather than an automatic one. This way you could have a burst of power ala Myers where you could cash in a lot of power you've accumulated until now.

  • "That’s the problem. You didn’t actually make a point. 🙊"

That's the problem right there my dude. I made a pretty simple and clear point.

YOU came here and said you LOVED the design of the character. Fine.

I responded that said style was EXTREMELY niche because of its yandere Kpop nature.

YOU responded "but let's ignore the obvious main point of that design, I was totlly talking about the fact that he is a spychopath"

To which I responded "dude, all the killers are"

To which YOU responded "but the others are fiction"

To which I pointed out the obvious fact that... yawkno. ALL the killers in that game are fictions too.

"Where exactly did I claim that any of these things wouldn’t greatly change his whole fantasy and style? My point was, which you clearly missed, was that if he was the exact same killer we have now. Same power. But, instead of being a KPOP singer he was a teacher or a dentist, it shouldn’t be relevant to him being in the game. People said that KPOP doesn’t belong in a horror game. But why would a dentist or a teacher fit any better? What he did for a job shouldn’t matter. Him being a psychopath who abducts and tortures people is what makes him fit in the game"

Yeah, you fought a very strong strawman here buddy.

I never said Kpop didn't fit in horror, I said it was NICHE. But if you want to go on that topic sure, let's talk about it:

Yes, OBVIOUSLY Kpop doesnt fit at all in the horror theme, but just like a clown at face value wouldn't, it's the act of tearing that thing down and twisting it that makes it work. And it does work, just like tearind down and twisting anything work. You could have made him a bride in white robe and it would have worked just as much.

The question was never "did it work" but "it's very specific and niche.

And despite working, you cannot deny that he still is maybe just a little over the line when it comes to brightness for DbD, but as an exception it's okay. The problem will arise if everyone start looking like him.

Also, just to stay for a second on his sill and disregarding the look entirely : It's probably the worst design job BVH ever did.

It's a range killer without any of the advantage, his skill is clunky, slow, had a way too strong wind up and stance swap that makes it unusable to poke, a way too slow travel time and too high spread that makes it excessivly easy to dodge when you are in the open.

He is very close to the plague in term of actual mechanic : a bunch of small projectils that need to hit the target to wound them, but the plague leave a mark that will stay and even get stronger if its meter inst full, spread trough survivor cooperation and wont give the survivor a speed boost when they get wounded from it, thus making a close range shower followed by a M1 a good way to use it, something G1 Hack over here cannot do since his skill will give a speed boost (and why would you try to max a survivor at close range when you can just M1 them anyway? A M1 that will reduce said meter for some reasons too).

And he needs to refill is ammo unlike the plague.

So yeah, even from a purely mechanical standpoint, he is terrible and probably beyond fixing without making him op.

YOU are the one being extremely over defensive on the topic because you know full well that this particular point is the main reason people may not like him, and since YOU like him you are trying to dismiss and handwave that point. And YOU did it even when I (and everyone else in that thread) said they were fine with the Kpop thing.

    "Just don’t expect a reply. 😘"

Please, do not. I think its pretty clear that there's no point wasting more time with you.

He's soooo slow for how many knives you have to hit.

That's probably because otherwise you could run up to Survivors and just throw knives at them from close range very easily.

Of course you could also just hit them with your weapon, which would be faster than throwing knives in this situation.

So... basically what the Plague can do... while having a faster walk speed, and not giving a speed boost to the survivor when they get wounded by her spew?

Does that comparison help to highlight how utterly pathetic his skill is now?

  • Says the person with the "Iron Will" icon😂

Sorry... what was you point again?

  • Sure, you can go that road and avoid my point entirely if that narrative makes you feel better, go right ahead. 🙃

Of course you stopped reading right there. You're part of the problem.

Nah, I'd say the one "part of the problem" are the people, like you, who spew obvious lies and use them as the base for their whole reasoning.

What should I wast time reading a whole post built uppon a very easily proven lie?

And yaknow what? I'm pretty sure my math may have thought you something that you may not have realized before : YES, DS is god damn strong and will totally screw the killer, and NO it's not "just 5 seconds".

  • "The reason I said to ignore the KPOP element is because when he was first announced people were like “I DON’T LIKE KPOP” and “KPOP ISN’T HORROR” but it shouldn’t be relevant, because if he was a dentist or a school teacher, why does it matter? The key part to him being in the game is that he’s a serial killer."

Well... yeah? Of course it would matter.

If he was a space alien spiting dart, a shadow throwing glass shard of pure darkness or a manikin with a nail gun it would GREATLY change his whole fantasy and style.

"The psychopath comment was in reference to him being an ACTUAL psychopath. Most of the other killers in the game are complete fiction"

Again, ALL the killers in that game are also fictions.

I get that you like him, but you are trying way to hard to justify his existance while sidestepping the main point about him : the fantasy they decided to give him. Hell, by your description he is basically the very same type of kille than Legion.

  • "Let's get this out of the way first... DS does NOT prevent tunneling. If the killer is going to tunnel you, they'll do it even after you use DS on them. It just prolongs it by 5 seconds."

And I stopped reading right there. Very first sentence. GJ.

DS stuns the killer for 5 full seconds, this means the survivor will have 5 seconds to run.

    A survivor run at 4 m/s, a standard killer run at 1.15 this speed so 4.6 m/s.

This means that to cover the 4x5 m the survivor gained during that stun he will have to travel for 20/0.6 seconds ie 33 seconds. So a DS will wast AT LEAST 38 seconds for the killer.

And that's best case scenario, on an open field without any windows of pallets that would give more time for the survivor.

Anyone knows that if a survivor manage to DS you when a gate is open, EVEN if you are on the other side of the map, said survivor will have more than enough time to get out, especially if there's someone to do a lil bit of body-block.

So yeah. No, you are clearly clueless about what DS even does when it comes to time.

  • The best part about his release is that they managed to release him with a bugged "Main Event" that makes it basically unusable...

That's adding insult to injury at this point.

  • "Ignoring the KPOP element"

I mean... that's kinda his main (and I'd even say overbearing) trait here, changing that is changing his personality altogether.

    Also ALL killers are psychopath.

As I said, I dont hate it, but you have to admit he is by far the nichiest killer when it comes to fantasy, something that will only speak to people that know what a yandere means and what Kpop is about.

  • Sure. I'll give you the ability to tag gen with DS if you give me your ability to jump in locker with it.

I love how surivivors are always talking about how some killers dont have "any counter play" and yet think jumping in locker with DS is the peak of skill rather than the most obvious case of "no counterplay" possible for the killer.

    @[Deleted User] said:

Gen tapping shouldn't even be a thing in the first place.

    This.

Gen tapping is the number ONE reason why ruin is a thing and why kicking gens is SO BAD.

To stop a gen from regressing when you leave it alone you should have to work on it for a certain amount of time, 5 to 10 seconds.

If it takes some time for the killer to start the regression, it should take 4 time as much time for the survivor to stop it.

  • I mean, the whole "yandere bishonen Kpop singer serial killer" thing is not that bad... but it's also EXTREMELY niche....

And after the already very niche "medieval mutant french farm girl with lil baby brother half phetus tumor growing on her chest" killer, I'm starting to feel like the "creative team" is trying a bit too hard and probably should ring it in to some of the most comon (and still missing) horror trops for DbD.

Yup. Its so sad they don't listen to people like Otzdarva or Scott when they're amazing players and really care for both sides of the game, wanting balance and fun gameplay.

But instead they just reject every single idea, or take months to even implement it. Blight's FOV should've been fixed in between the PTB and sending him to live, but it took 6 months instead. Just one example of how lazy, stubborn and petty they can be.

Trickster, if lucky will get a buff mid-chapter at best. If not, probably give him a year sitting in D tier with no one playing him because he's THAT bad.

Please, dont spread the myth that Scott care about "both side" and want a more "balanced and fun gameplay".

    Otz? Sure. Tru3? Totally.

Scott? Nah. The guy is one of the most obnoxious survivor main that try to pretend he is not and one that ONLY want killer to be kneecaped at every possible opportunity.

Also, yeah, the killer is terribad in every possible aspect, ESPECIALLY when you start comparing him to other ranged killers like Huntress, Deathslinger or Plague (especially plague funnily enough).

  • Not only the killer is EXTREMELY bad, as in "he doesn't have a SINGLE good thing about him compared to any other killer", but BHV is going in a rampage banning people left and right and deleting thread (not just closing but making them vanish) on the steam forum talking about it.

Right now there isn't a single thread on the topic up there, which is hilarious.

If this forum is full of killers crying like babies for nerfing all the good survivors perks, let them know we also want to nerf all their good perks. Devs please don't change the perks anymore, it changes the game to much. In my opinion the game is so broken now because of many nerfed perks. The game was just perfect before the nerfing to the perks (survivors&killers perks). Devs, don't try to please everyone, because you did broke the game doing so.

I think that one qualify to be reported as trolling actually.

Alright thanks for the advice sound a little angry their though pal are you ok must be a wraith main lol

KEKW, look at that guy, comes, make a very clueless rant about one of the weakest killer in the game, clearly being mad that he got owned at low level by one, then try to the pull "u mad" at people when he got told he was stupid...

    Cmon.

  • Outside of his cloacking, that takes some time to get in and out of, what else does he have?

The answer is nothing, he is a M1 killer.

Also his stealth is not THAT amazing that is would justify him having nothing else. You can still see him far enough to start running away, you can still hear him, at a certain level of play its almost meaningless.

The speed boost helps him improving a bit his patrolling (and in a smaller measure his chasing), it's far from being op.

  • @Arbmos1998 said:

    • Survivors hate Tunnelling and Camping.
    • Survivors also hate Gen Regression/Defense Perks that allows the Killer to extend the match without having to Tunnel/Camp. (Ruin +Undying rewarded Killers for Map Control a and allowed Killer to do multiple chases).

Survivors - Rushes gens in 3-4 mins giving the Killer no time to do multiple chases or get close to the 12 Hook counter. What does this cause?

    • Camping
    • Tunnelling
    • Slugging

    Pop - Nerfed

    Ruin - Nerfed

    Undying - Nerfed

    Pig Traps - Nerfed

Freddy Add-Ons - Nerfed (Most likely will again)

So my question is this. If Survivor mains hated Ruin + Undying so much are you guys actually wanting the Killer to play more lame as that is the direction the game is heading. I don't like Camping nor Tunnelling but let's be honest we have all had at least 1 match where we have been forced to do so to secure a Kill after a 3-4 min game. Not only does this create very unfun gameplay for Killer but it's obviously very unfun for Survivors.

Undying had 0 reason to be nerfed as it allows Killers to somewhat follow the Survivor Rule book to allow them to last longer in a match but for some reason Undying was considered "Unhealthy" for the game. How is a Perk that allows the match to be longer than 3-4 mins unhealthy for the game exactly? Meanwhile perks like Insidious are still in this game, a perk that is honestly only used for 1 lame purpose. Insidious could be great if reworked correctly so it actually has a good purpose.

I wouldn't be surprised if Devour got some sort of Nerf later down the track as that has recently replaced Ruin but if the Devs want to use "Stats" for their Balance then by that logic we should be seeing a Nurse buff at some stage, I'm personally fine with Nurse at the moment, I play her without addons but if the devs want to go off stats then I won't say no to a buff to her.

    Ya dont get it.

Their point isn't to have a fair and balanced game, their point is to make sure the killer is as powerless as possible to do anything that would get in their way. The last thing they want is to have to adapt to the killer, they just want to do some simple looping for a bit, then get back to the gen.
