  • I love Twins, they're my favorite killer. I also get random DCs when I play Twins. Had a match where somebody heard my terror radius and just insta DC'ed. Felt very weird since I personally thing Twins is a pretty fun killer to face. Especially since you rarely ever see them.

  • The enjoyment of the game. When played properly the game is fun and enjoyable. Just gotta hope you don't get someone that gives up the moment they get found. To many people want to sit on gens and do nothing but that and when they get found they just insta give up and kill themselves on hook.

  • This just sounds like a skill issue. It's also an entitlement issue. I've won lots of matches where someone died at 4-5 gens left. It just takes running the killer effectively and people actually doing gens and not being hyper immersed. To many times will I load up a match and someone dies with 4-5 gens left and I am the only person in the game doing gens while the other 2 people are just sitting in lockers or hiding corners doing nothing. You can't win the game if you don't do gens. Learn to run the killer. Watch YouTube videos of good loopers and see how they run loops. AND DO GENS. Don't just have this defeatist mindset that if someone dies with 4-5 gens left that the game is over. The game isn't over until you're dead. I recently had a match on Haddonfield against a Krasue that I ended up winning and we had 2 people die with 3 gens left to complete. Me and the other player just hid/looped the killer properly while we did gens at every single possible moment. This is more of an issue with people giving up early and less of an issue with the game being unwinnable for the survivors.

every game I had on EU last night and tonight are 80-200 ping… this really needs to be addressed now as it’s such a game killer. It makes me and my friends not want to play as it’s such an unfair advantage.

Sorry for being unable to get better internet where I live. If you wanna come out to my place of residence and tell the closet ISP to run a dedicated fiber line straight to my house so I can have good ping then I would be eternally grateful, but until then I will continue using the only available internet I can get.

Tried for a many games now, even 3 gens completed solo won't give me 20 skill checks.

Toolbox with Built to Last and a skill check addon will do it. Plus if you have one-two-three-four you should easily get them within one to two gens.

  • I just tell people to deal with it. Complaining about tunneling is like complaining that people in a MOBA are two man attacking your tower or ganking you over and over again to free up a lane. It's a strategy and something you just have to deal with. I get it can feel bad but the more you're chased the better you will get and the more punished the killer will become from tunneling you. Plus perks like DS, DH, OTR, Shoulder The Burden, etc. exist. Just take the death and requeue. Is more people had this mindset than tunneling wouldn't be seen as a problem. Also, if there was a casual Quick Play and a Ranked Play mode than tunneling would be more accepted and understood. Tunneling is going nowhere without harming the amount of people playing the game and increasing the queue times while running new players away from the game.

I've been getting Haddonfield every other game for weeks. It's absurd. Why are we still boosting certain maps in 2025?

I honestly hate Haddonfield. It will be sad seeing Myers go but I will be throwing party when Haddonfield leaves.

  • Mainly for fun. I just enjoy the game a lot. The gameplay loop is honestly enough to keep interested. I barely do tomes because I just forget about them. P100 would be cool but not a huge goal pushing me. Unlocking perks would be up there, mainly to try out new builds and see what whacking fun I can have or if I can put together a diabolical build that is really good. I just enjoy the game and the gameplay a lot. There's no other game like it and the fact that you can't transfer skill from another game into this one is something I personally enjoy a lot.

His dash reminds me of Wraith and Chucky, and in some situations I find windows better than pallets. He also feels a bit like Bubba to me because I'm exposed 90% of the time...

I honestly agree with you. He just feels like a stronger version of Bubba to me which I love. Bubba is my favorite killer to go against because he's not all that complex which to me is nice. A good Bubba has the ability to mindgame loops while still giving you the ability to run him effectively. He just feels like a well balanced killer gameplay wise. He forces you to understand how to properly greed pallets and how effective windows can actually be. I like new Myers just how I like how Bubba is.

Make BHVR see this, cause obviously they don't care.

Yesterday logged out after 3 blatant matches of cheaters. Today first match… you guessed it, blatant cheaters. These people obviously arent afraid of bans. Maybe time to get server sided checks? no? BHVR?

Luckily I haven't ran into any playing on NA servers but from some of the YouTube videos I've watched it seems like something happened to the AntiCheat which made it significantly easier to cheat in the game. Hope this will be one of the things addressed with the PTB tomorrow or a following patch. I've started having OBS ready to record my game just incase I get into a match with a cheater.

A few things i’m hoping for are:

    • Buff to Fog Vials
    • Another rework of the styptic agent (current version is by far the worst medkit add-on and needs another redesign)
    • Demogorgon Buffs + add-on pass
    • Buff the Harmless
    • Rework Kaneki’s Centipede and Yamori’s Mask addons
    • Nerf blight by making him 4.4 and give him the pallet break token removal nerf similar to kaneki
    • nerf sabo speeds
    • nerf power struggle + flip flop combo

I would love to see a fat amount of bugs fixed with little to none other bugs added to the game. Trapper Buffs would go hard, also, give up leopard print speedo Trapper please. Demo buffs would also be sick. And a shake up the meta with perk nerfs and buffs/reworks. Preferably on the killer side but also surv side needs it as well. I personally hate that when I load up killer I almost always play the same perks no matter the killer. Same could go for surv but imo the surv side does have a lot more variety on the amount of actually viable and useable perks. Also, I hope new Vecna is balanced and not to weak or to strong and I hope that the new surv perks aren't completely overpowered or completely useless. I have a feeling Eleven will have some nutty perks tho.

I think the bigger problem is that some players, mostly on the Killer side, take the game too seriously, and feel that anything less than a 100% win rate is unacceptable.  Survivor players who feel that way will likely turn to the Killer role, because they tire of being stomped on and Killers are naturally stronger.

I haven't turned towards the Killer role myself. I play 85-90% survivor but I still have this mentality. I want to win the game. I will do everything the game allows me to do to win the game. If I can loop a killer for 5 gens and leave then I will 100% do that. If I can get my team on multiple gens to pop them as fast as possible, I will 100% do that. And I will expect the killer to tunnel, slug, camp, hold a 3 gen, etc. to win as well. It's what you signup for when you load into a competitive online game. I never expect my opponent to not take the game serious and try to win.

I personally think this is something the BHVR can easily fix as well. If they just added a Quick Play and a Ranked Play queues for the game than I think this sentiment would be better accepted. That how I feel in games like Overwatch or Marvel Rivals. When I load up Quick Play it's mainly to just have fun and try out new things so I'm not going all out. If I load up Ranked Play then I am picking my best character and trying my absolute hardest to win the match. BHVR adding these separate queues would allow new players and people just looking for casual fun to find it in Quick Play and then the hyper sweats, like myself, can go load up Ranked Play and try their hardest to win.

  • I think personal enjoyment will keep people. The game is buggy yes and it's not in an amazingly balanced state, especially at higher MMR, but the game is still honestly a blast to play. I enjoy playing the game and booting it up everyday. The game play loop and the mechanics aren't an issue for me, it's mainly the people you play with. Most the time other survs who just give up at 5 gens or are being toxic for no reason. Always makes the game less fun. Other than just people being ######### in game I enjoy the game and honestly have a great time playing when the game is played the way it's suppose to be. Plus I'm feeling like Elevens perks are gonna be pretty good, if not borderline overpowered on release and people will have a good time playing with them until the eventual nerf. Also, if new Vecna has a good power and is a good balanced power level he'll probably have a good chunk of players stay.

If you're feeling burnout then try switching which role you play or hop onto a different game for a week to build up that want to play again. I know that I regularly take week long breaks from games I've been slamming to hard and it always helps me with wanting to play them again.

  • I was also expecting a dev stream today but I guess we're gonna get one early in the morning. Probably around 9-10AM CST I would assume.

Same problem here. I’d bet that, at this point, Easy Anti-Cheat hurts legitimate players more than cheaters.

So true. All the games I've checked that run EAC are down right now which is insane.

  • EAC still down on steam. If you have game pass just load it up through there until it fixes. Make sure to connect cross progression. Nevermind, game pass also doesn't work. Best birthday present ever from ######### EAC servers.

    Is this a serious post?

No it's for sure just weak rage bait like 98% of the posts on the forums nowadays.

  • I watched a recent dev live stream on YouTube and a dev said to type K, S, or B in chat to see if you're a killer main, survivor main or hybrid. overwhelming the chat was flooded with K's. there were hardly any S's and B's.

This honestly has to be the most idiotic thing I read in this post. If you even watched the dev stream they themselves said a lot of B's. Plus if you go look at the chat you will see far more B's than S or K with a good balance of S and K. The rage bait is for real. Honestly the majority of the posts I see on the forums are the weakest rage bait ever.

    Trapper, Ghostface and Skull merchant

Hit the nail on the head. These killers are honestly so abysmal to play and are so fun to play against. You just get free loops all game.

  • This just seems like rage bait. I win a good portion of my games on survivor and I play a lot go soloq maybe I play with one friend who is honestly one of the worst players possible. Just learn how to loop properly and do the gens any chance you get. The faster the gens go the faster you win the game. If you loop good then you give your team time to finish more gens. It's honestly so easy to win as killer. Almost all of the streamers I watch play soloq and they win like 95% of their survivor games. It honestly just comes down to a skill issue.

I'm not so sure I agree, actually. I think in the current state of the game, the thing holding the weaker five-ish killers back really is just that they're weak, not that there's something really harshly punishing about the state of the game as a whole.

If you were to hypothetically make tunnelling impossible (I have a post up about making survivors immune to gaining hook states if they're tunnelled, as an example for how), all you'd really need to do is buff the handful of killers that genuinely struggle, then balance the game as normal.

Hmm, that sounds doable. I wonder how you would go about doing that. Maybe another thing that could happen would be to teleport the unhooked person to the farthest part of the map from the killer so that going for that person takes more time then actually finding someone close by since a decent amount of killers tend to be within 20-22 meter of an unhook. I would also be ok with no noise notification for an unhook. Of course you would see it on the HUD but the addition of the noise notification makes you hyper aware that it happened.

"stop saying survivor should be punished for genrushing"

I don't remember saying this. I actually used punishing survs for "genrushing" as an example of how punishing people for playing optimally is a bad thing. I think punishing either side for playing the game optimally is a bad thing.

  • @jesterkind said:

The problem is, when you focus too much on tunnelling being optimal, you miss that it's unbalanced.

That's the real thing that needs to be changed here, but I can empathise with the position of not wanting it to be a strict penalty for doing it. Through some mechanism or another, the most optimal way of playing the game really should become something that's fairly balanced- whether that's through making tunnelling impossible, or by weakening it to the point that it's a real risk/reward strategy.

I would definitely assert that there's no good buff you can give killers to fix the problems tunnelling currently has, because the buff would have to be giant to be stronger than chaining easy chases into an early death. Even 10% Pain Res wouldn't be as strong as just tunnelling someone out, especially if that buff is still active after tunnelling someone.

Like I said, I'm not saying it has to be a penalty, but the most optimal way of playing really shouldn't be something this unbalanced. It's not good for anyone- it sucks to go against, obviously, but it also stands in the way of meaningful buffs on the killer side, too.

I completely agree with you. I don't honestly know what could be done to make tunneling not such an effective strategy without one side getting heavily hindered or buffed in the process. A big reason that I see for meaningful change coming to the game about this is the strongest killers in the game, name Nurse, Blight, and Ghoul. The problem comes that if you add a way for lower tier killers to be more optimal to play and not be so weak this in turn makes the top tier killers completely game breaking and unwinnable to go against. I see ways that Ghoul and Blight could be nerfed to be better but Nurse to me is the main problem. The only solutions I see if either a complete rework of her or just the acknowledge that from her conception she was bad for the game and you just have to deal with it. I would love to find someway to make the game more balanced but with these killers, specifically Nurse, it gets so tricky to do it.

  • The gen rushing and bullying is so bad, there's no reason to even play killer

If they are unwilling to dissuade survivors from garbage tactics then they should put the last nail in the coffin.

Do you see how idiotic and childish you sound? You survivor mains are so used to being spoon fed wins that when you can't 4 out in 2 minutes will running the killer around for an additional 5 you just complain the game is dead and unplayable. Why not actually get some skill and stop complaining when killers play the optimal way. Always double standards with survivor mains.

Have you been on this game in the last two hours? No? Ok so here is the issue:
You cant loop the current fillers, theyre too small now. All filler pallets are unsafe
You cant make it to the next loop, its too far away. and if you do make it, the refer to above point.

But you clearly like being handed the game to you as a killer main. I hope you enjoy your 10 minute queue times when all the survivor mains uninstall.

I'm literally on the game right now in customs looking at all the maps that got changed and have barely came across a 100% unsafe filler loop. Most survivors don't know the good side of loops. There is clearly a bad side of a filler loop and a good side to a filler loop. Run around the good side of the loop. If you get mindgamed and out played at a filler loop then it just happens. Try again and get better.

  • I never understand why survivor mains complain about killers that are barely played at a decent level in this game. I hardly ever run into Blight, Nurse, Ghoul and run into way more Huntress, Springtrap, Nemesis, Wesker, etc. They're the best killers in the game, but to compensate for that they're also difficult to play. You can't just pick up Blight and become some uber survivor killing machine because his power is difficult to use. If you run a Blight to a jungle gym or main building or shack or even a good filler loop then most of them will struggle trying to navigate it. 90 and 180 flicks are much more difficult and skillful to pull off then most people think. I can barely ever do them. Stop complaining that good killer is good and start learning how to play against good killer. Learn how to loop and use pallets and walls to your advantage. Stop running in straight lines from a Blight.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/RQT6CNM33KCR/img-5481.jpeg

please tell me with the straightest face that this is ok and that i need to “learn to actually play.” any killer with at least 3 minutes of playtime can get a hit at this loop in less than 8 seconds.

Pre-drop the pallet and learn to loop. Or pre-drop the pallet and when they break it, run to another loop. That what you're suppose to do. Get gud.

  • This is some diabolical rage bait. Saying SWF is easier to go against has to be the most brain dead take to exist in DBD.

  • @BOJIK_102RU said:

What you've done is insane. Now, instead of playing pallets, we're guaranteed to get injured? What's the point of playing now? Degradation? No thanks, I'm deleting this stupid game. (I think many who've played since at least 2020 will understand. By the way, I've played a LOT on BOTH sides.)

This just sounds like massive entitlement. Since you can't run from jungle gym, to shack, to double pallet, to main building, to jungle gym with double pallet doesn't mean you're just guaranteed to get hit. It means you actually have to get good at the game, but I know that's foreign concept.

  • Leave it to a survivor main to complain about not having their hand held even more than is already is. The whole mentality just feels like, "If I don't instantly spawn at an open exit gate the beginning of the game with infinite sprint burst and 7 millions pallets to annoy the killer than the game sucks and should be cancelled."

Maybe enjoy some challenge with the game. Learn to run loops properly. Appreciate the skill of good killers that now how to mind game and outplay you around loops. If you can do that then the game will be more enjoyable.

  • The devs literally said they doubled the amount of bug fixes with the update from the PTB version, and mentioning dead zones with the state of pallets is insane. I can turn my camera and easily count 10-15 pallets around me. Dead zones are dead. The only way to have a dead zone is to create it yourself with improper pallet usage.
